Definitions
- Such loudspeakers are generally used to produce sound from an electrical signal.
- the flexible conductor for example a power supply braid, supplies electrical energy to the excitation coil so that the excitation coil moves according to the received electrical signal.
- This braid is secured at one of its ends to a fixed part of the loudspeaker and at its other end to the moving assembly of the loudspeaker on which the excitation coil is located.
- Such a loudspeaker does not, however, give complete satisfaction. Indeed, the electrical signal changing very quickly, the flexible conductor is thus subjected to violent mechanical stresses. This can increase the mechanical tension in the flexible conductor, as well as weaken the connection between the flexible conductor and the fixed frame, or even detach the flexible conductor from the fixed frame so as to completely stop the operation of the loudspeaker.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a loudspeaker whose connection of the flexible conductor is more reliable, even under frequent stresses.
- the subject of the invention is an electrodynamic loudspeaker of the aforementioned type, in which the loudspeaker also comprises an elastic support fixed to the fixed frame and configured to support the flexible conductor, the elastic support comprising a longitudinal groove in which the flexible conductor is received, each longitudinal groove having a flared inclination towards the convex membrane.
- front and rear are to be understood with reference to the main direction of propagation of the sounds of a loudspeaker.
- the forward direction corresponds to the exterior of the loudspeaker, and the rear direction corresponds to the interior of the loudspeaker.
- the Figure 1 illustrates an electrodynamic loudspeaker 10. It is advantageously substantially of revolution around an axis A-A'.
- the loudspeaker 10 comprises a fixed frame 12, a motor 14 fixed to the fixed frame 12, and a moving assembly 16 axially movable relative to the fixed frame 12.
- the fixed frame 12 is also known as the "salad bowl”. It comprises a bottom 20 and a circumferential wall 22 connecting the bottom 20.
- the circumferential wall 22 has a frustoconical shape of the axis A-A' flared towards the front of the loudspeaker 10.
- Motor 14 includes a magnet defining at least one air gap 24.
- the moving assembly 16 comprises a cylindrical reel carrier 26 with axis A-A'. It also includes an excitation coil 28 wound on the outer surface of the coil carrier 26.
- the mobile assembly 16 also includes a convex membrane 30.
- the excitation coil 28 is placed in the air gap 24. It defines the axis AA' of the loudspeaker 10. It is capable of oscillating along the axis AA' around a balancing position shown in the Figures .
- the "axial" direction means the direction along the axis A-A'.
- the convex membrane 30 is connected to the coil carrier 26. It is capable of being set in motion by the excitation coil 28 so as to be moved together with the excitation coil 28.
- the convex membrane 30 has a convexity oriented towards the outside of the loudspeaker 10.
- the convex membrane 30 has the shape of a spherical cap or a dome.
- the moving assembly 16 also comprises a lattice 32 interposed between the reel holder 26 and the convex membrane 30.
- the lattice 32 connects the reel holder 26 and the convex membrane 30.
- the loudspeaker 10 also comprises at least one flexible conductor 36, for example two flexible conductors 36, and an elastic support 38 configured to support the flexible conductor 36.
- the flexible conductor 36 is for example an electrical supply braid to supply electrical energy to the loudspeaker 10.
- the flexible conductor 36 includes an end (not shown in the Figures) for connection to the excitation coil and an end 40 for connection to the frame fixed away from the end for connection to the excitation coil.
- the elastic support 38 has an internal surface 46 oriented towards the axis AA' and an external surface 48 oriented opposite the axis A-A'.
- the internal surface 46 of the elastic support 38 is fixed to the fixed frame 12 (visible on the Figures 1 , 2 , and 4 ). It has a shape complementary to the fixed frame 12.
- the elastic support 38 is made of an elastomeric material, for example butadiene-acrylonitrile or a thermoplastic elastomer material.
- the elastic support 38 has a Shore A hardness of between 60 and 80.
- the elastic support 38 comprises a base 50 and two branches 52 connected by the base 50 from one of their ends.
- the elastic support 38 therefore has a flared U shape.
- the base 50 has a trapezoidal shape flared towards the outside of the loudspeaker 10.
- Each branch 52 is configured to support a flexible conductor 36. It comprises a longitudinal groove 56 bordered by retaining lips 58.
- the longitudinal groove 56 extends substantially in the axial direction. It is configured to receive the flexible conductor 36.
- the flexible conductor 36 is axially mounted free in the longitudinal groove 56. Its axial movement is only hindered by the friction forces with the elastomer constituting the elastic support 38.
- Each longitudinal groove 56 has a flared inclination towards the convex membrane 30.
- the inclination of the longitudinal grooves 56 helps to control the trajectory of the flexible conductor 36, both at rest and during operation of the loudspeaker 10.
- the "path" followed by the flexible conductor 36 is thus better controlled, which prevents it from following paths which would accelerate its degradation.
- the retaining lips 58 delimit the longitudinal groove 56 at its edge.
- the retaining lips 58 partially block the longitudinal groove 56 so that the flexible conductor 36 is held in the longitudinal groove 56 and does not come out through the retaining lips 58.
- the loudspeaker 10 further comprises a base 60 configured to be held by the elastic support 38 from above.
- the base 60 is glued to the elastic support 38.
- the base 60 comprises a plate having at each end 62, 64 a connector 66 delimiting an orifice 68 for immobilizing the flexible conductor 36.
- Each flexible connector 36 is extended by a metal rod 70 which is itself connected to a printed circuit speaker control 10.
- the security of attachment between the fixed frame 12 and the excitation coil 28 by means of the flexible conductor 36 is improved. Indeed, even if the excitation coil 28 is subjected to very rapidly changing vibrations, the elastic support 38 at least partially absorbs the pulling forces exerted on the flexible conductor 36, and thus reduces the risk of detachment between the flexible conductor 36 and the fixed frame 12.
- an elastic support 38 to hold the flexible conductors 36 also makes it possible to create a flexible connection between the flexible conductor 36 and the fixed frame 12 of the loudspeaker 10 and thus not to concentrate the stress in the flexible conductor 36 at the attachment to this fixed frame 12.

- a movable assembly relative to the fixed frame along an axis, the movable assembly comprising:
- > a convex membrane whose convexity is oriented towards the outside of the loudspeaker, and

Such loudspeakers are generally used to produce sound from an electrical signal. The flexible conductor, for example a power supply braid, supplies electrical energy to the excitation coil so that the excitation coil moves according to the received electrical signal. This braid is secured at one of its ends to a fixed part of the loudspeaker and at its other end to the moving assembly of the loudspeaker on which the excitation coil is located.
Such a loudspeaker does not, however, give complete satisfaction.
An object of the present invention is to provide a loudspeaker whose connection of the flexible conductor is more reliable, even under frequent stresses.
To this end, the subject of the invention is an electrodynamic loudspeaker of the aforementioned type, in which the loudspeaker also comprises an elastic support fixed to the fixed frame and configured to support the flexible conductor, the elastic support comprising a longitudinal groove in which the flexible conductor is received, each longitudinal groove having a flared inclination towards the convex membrane.
la surface interne du support élastique étant fixée sur le châssis fixe ; - la rainure longitudinale est délimitée à sa bordure par des lèvres de maintien du conducteur souple dans la rainure longitudinale, lesquelles lèvres obturent partiellement la rainure longitudinale ;
- le conducteur souple est monté libre axialement dans la rainure longitudinale ;
- le support élastique comporte deux branches reliées par une même base, chaque branche étant configurée pour soutenir un conducteur souple ;
- the elastic support has an internal surface oriented towards the axis of the loudspeaker and an external surface oriented away from the axis of the loudspeaker,
the internal surface of the elastic support being fixed to the fixed frame; - the longitudinal groove is delimited at its edge by lips holding the flexible conductor in the longitudinal groove, which lips partially block the longitudinal groove;
- the flexible conductor is mounted free axially in the longitudinal groove;
- the elastic support comprises two branches connected by the same base, each branch being configured to support a flexible conductor;
- the elastic support is made of an elastomer material, for example butadiene-acrylonitrile or a thermoplastic elastomer material; and
- the elastic support has a Shore A hardness of between 60 and 80.

In the following description, the expressions “front” and “rear” are to be understood with reference to the main direction of propagation of the sounds of a loudspeaker. The forward direction corresponds to the exterior of the loudspeaker, and the rear direction corresponds to the interior of the loudspeaker.
The
Dans la description qui va suivre, la direction « axiale » signifie la direction suivant l'axe A-A'.In the following description, the "axial" direction means the direction along the axis A-A'.
The
The
The
Each
- 1) la fonction de maintien des conducteurs souples 36, ce qui nécessite une fixation immobile dans la direction perpendiculaire à la direction axiale ;
- 1) the holding function of the
flexible conductors 36, which requires immobile fixing in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction; - 2) the function of linking the
rod 70 to the fixedframe 12, which requires flexibility in order to allow insertion of theloudspeaker 10 in an enclosure without risk of therod 70 breaking.
In addition, the use of an
