Description

TECHNISCHES GEBIETTECHNICAL AREA

The invention relates to a method in which empty infusion bags, which are usually delivered sterilized, can be unpacked and separated. The infusion bags can then be fed to a further processing device, for example in order to fill the infusion bags with a liquid.

The infusion bags can be bags with only one chamber, but also multi-chamber bags. Multi-chamber bags can for example also comprise a powder and a liquid chamber.

STAND DER TECHNIKSTATE OF THE ART

The feeding and unpacking of sterile infusion bags is usually carried out by manual work steps. The sterile infusion bags are delivered in an outer packaging. The outer packaging with the infusion bags is disinfected and transferred to a first processing room, which is equipped with glove openings. In this first processing room, the outer packaging is opened manually by an operator and the individual infusion bags are removed from the outer packaging. Several infusion bags are placed in a transfer tray and disinfected again before the transfer tray and the infusion bag are transferred to a second processing room. In this second processing room, too, further processing is carried out manually by an operator who has to act with gloves. The infusion bags are first separated by the operator. As the IV bag often are positioned within the outer packaging by means of a vacuum, this separation can take a certain amount of time, since the infusion bags can stick to one another. The separated infusion bags are transferred to a third processing room, which is also equipped with glove openings. In this processing room, the individual infusion bags are arranged in a defined orientation by a further operator and transferred to the device for further processing. For example, the individual infusion bags can be placed in the transport compartments of a conveyor belt. Alternatively, the infusion bags can also be hung on transport tongs.

This step-by-step unpacking by operators in glove openings is viewed increasingly critically. For the operator, the work with gloves is physically arduous, so that symptoms of fatigue occur relatively quickly. Maintaining sterility is also being viewed increasingly critically, since subsequent contamination of the open inside of the outer packaging or the infusion bag cannot be reliably ruled out.

DARSTELLUNG DER ERFINDUNGDISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

On the basis of this known prior art, the invention is based on the object of specifying an improved method for unpacking and separating infusion bags, which largely works without an operator in gloves and avoids touching the actual infusion bag as completely as possible.

The method according to the invention is given by the features of main claim 1. Useful further developments of the invention are the subject of further claims which follow this claim.

In the method according to the invention for unpacking and separating infusion bags, an outer packaging is first opened automatically by means of an opening device. In this outer packaging, the infusion bags are attached in groups to a holding device. After opening the outer packaging, the infusion bags are separated from the outer packaging by means of a separation device. The individual infusion bags remain attached to the holding device during this step. By means of a positioning device, each holding device with the infusion bags attached is now positioned in a transport device so that the infusion bags can be fed to a device for further processing.

In a first embodiment, only one group of infusion bags can be present in the outer packaging. This can be the case in particular with outer packaging in the form of bags, for example in the form of tubular or sealed bags. Alternatively, in a second embodiment, several groups of infusion bags can be present in an outer packaging, each group being fastened to its own holding device. This can be the case in particular with such outer packaging that has a tub-like container for the infusion bag. Depending on the depth of the tub-like container, the individual holding devices with the infusion bags can lie fan-like in the tub-like container or they can be suspended next to one another in the tub-like container.

When a tub-like container is used as the outer packaging, this tub-like container can preferably be closed with a sealed-on cover film. In this case, the cover film can be removed through the opening device. This can preferably be done by peeling off the cover film. In principle, it would also be possible to cut an opening in the cover film in order to open the outer packaging.

When using outer packaging in the form of a bag, the bag can be opened in a particularly simple manner by cutting open the bag. The bag can only be provided with a slit for this purpose. It would also be possible to cut off part of the bag in order to open the outer packaging.

The opened outer packaging can then be tilted by the separating device. This allows the infusion bags with the holding device to slip out of the opened outer packaging. Such a slipping out of the infusion bag is possible both with a bag as outer packaging and with a flat tub-like container as outer packaging.

If, on the other hand, the holding devices are suspended in the tub-like container, they can be gripped and removed from the separating device together with the infusion bags.

In principle, it is possible to feed the infusion bags in groups to a device for further processing. In this case, only the holding device would have to be aligned and transferred to a transport device in a defined position. This process step can be taken over by the positioning device. The infusion bags can then be filled in groups, for example with the desired liquid.

In a preferred embodiment, the infusion bags can be separated from the holding device before they are transferred to the further processing device. The infusion bags can thus be further processed individually. This has the advantage that the construction of the further processing device can generally remain unchanged, since the further processing device has so far also received the already separated and aligned infusion bags. The separation of the infusion bag from the holding device can in particular from the positioning device or from the Transport device are carried out. The infusion bags can preferably be separated immediately during separation from the holding device, so that a separate separation process is no longer necessary. The infusion bags can be aligned directly by the holding device after the separation or also immediately during the separation process, so that a defined transfer to a further processing device is possible. This saves a separate method step for aligning the infusion bags.

Further advantages and features of the invention can be found in the features further specified in the claims and in the exemplary embodiments below.

WEGE ZUM AUSFÜHREN DER ERFINDUNGWAYS OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

In the Figs. 1 to 6 a first variant of the method according to the invention is shown step by step. Several infusion bags 10 are attached to a holding device 12. In the present case, the holding device 12 with the sterilized infusion bag 10 is packed in a tubular bag 20 as an outer packaging. Instead of the tubular bag 20, for example, a sealed bag or another bag could also be used as the outer packaging. The outer packaging 20 is first disinfected on the outside and then introduced into a clean room, in which the further process steps are carried out using appropriate devices.

Anschließend wird der abgetrennte Teil 24 der Umverpackung 20' entfernt (Fig. 3).According to Fig. 2 the tubular bag 20 is first cut open by an opening device 50, which is only shown schematically here. The cut 22 is made in the vicinity of the holding device 12 in order not to accidentally damage the infusion bag 10 during the cutting process. The separated part 24 of the outer packaging 20 'is then removed ( Fig. 3 ).

The opened outer packaging 20 'is now tilted by a separating device 52, likewise shown only schematically, so that the open side 26 of the outer packaging 20' points downward. As a result, the infusion bags 10 with the holding device 12 slide out of the opened outer packaging 20 '(see FIG Fig. 5 ). The empty outer packaging 20 ′ can then be disposed of, while the holding device 12 with the infusion bags 10 can be processed further. As a rule, the holding device 12 with the infusion bags 10 attached to it is transferred from a positioning device 54 to a transport device 56.

Instead of the tubular bag 20, a flat tub-like container 30 can also be used for storing the infusion bags 10 attached to the holding device 12 (see FIG Figures 7 to 9 ). The tub-like container 30 is closed with a sealed-on cover film 32. After the outside of the closed tub-like container 30 has been decontaminated, the cover film 32 can be removed in a clean room from an opening device 50.2, which is only shown schematically here (see FIG Figures 8 and 9 ). In the present example, the cover film 32 is completely pulled off the tub-like container 30. As an alternative to this, a flat opening could also be cut into the cover film 32, through which the individual holding devices 12 with infusion bags 10 could be removed.

As Fig. 10 As can be seen, several holding devices 12 with infusion bags 10 attached can be stored and transported in a tub-like container 30. The individual holding devices 12 (see also Fig. 11 ) are each equipped with several infusion bags 10, the infusion bags 10 being arranged in a fan-like overlapping manner. In the present example, the infusion bags 10 are fastened to the holding device 12 via a hose attachment 14. The tube attachment 14 of each infusion bag 10 is clamped in the holding device 12. The distances between two adjacent tube attachments 14 are identical in each case, so that the infusion bag 10 is precisely aligned on the holding device 12. This exact alignment of the infusion bags 10 enables the defined further processing and transfer of the separated infusion bags 10 to any further processing device without the need for manual alignment by the operator.

Within the tub-like container 30, several holding devices 12 are slightly offset one above the other. If the side walls 34 of the tub-like container 30 run sufficiently flat, the individual holding devices 12 could be removed by tilting the opened tub-like container 30 '. As an alternative to this, the individual holding devices 12 could also be removed from the opened tub-like container 30 by means of a gripping device as a separating device 52.2. The individual holding devices 12 with the infusion bags 10 can then be processed further.

Instead of the flat tub-like container 30 for storing the holding device 12 with infusion bags 10, a comparatively deep tub-like container 40 could also be used (see FIG Figures 12-14 ). The individual holding devices 12 could be suspended in this tub-like container 40 in such a way that the infusion bags 10 each hang down (see FIG Fig. 14 ). The tub-like container 40 is closed with a sealed-on cover film 42. After the outside of the closed tub-like container 40 has been decontaminated, the cover film 42 can be removed from an opening device (not shown here) in a clean room (see FIG Figures 13 and 14 ). In the present example, the cover film 42 is completely peeled off from the tub-like container 40. As an alternative to this, a flat opening could also be cut into the cover film 42, through which the individual holding devices 12 with infusion bags 10 could be removed. After removing the cover film 42, the individual holding devices 12 with the infusion bags 10 can be removed from the opened tub-like container 40 'by means of a gripping device (not shown here). The individual holding devices 12 with the infusion bags 10 can then be processed further.
