Description

Description of the invention having title:
AUTOMATIC SYSTEM FOR DISPENSING AND LEVEL CONTROL OF LIQUID INSIDE
CONTAINERS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention concerns a system for supplying liquids inside containers and for controlling the level of the liquid inside container by means of an automatic liquid flow interruption.
The systems to control the level of the liquid inside container are well known.
BACKGROUND ART
Many of the known systems are used for the manual refueling of car fuel tanks.
Patent US3771575 describes one of the aforementioned systems .
Such devices are characterized by the presence of a venturi suction system whose generated depression allows automatic closing of the liquid flow.
Liquid flow closure occurs with the simultaneous release of the manual actuation lever and the subsequent liquid re-opening must occur manually with the release of the actuating lever so that the system is reset.
This latter feature does not allow the use of such systems in containers whose filling is not monitored by the user.
Therefore known systems are not suitable for use inside the wc cabinets where flow control is carried out by means of a float closing the control valve.
These floats represent a critical element both from the production point of view and from the functional point of view, as many are made up of a multiplicity of components and despite many refinements are still subject to malfunctions and damages.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
The invention, as specified in the claims, solves this disadvantages because the invention provides an automatic reset system for controlling the liquid flow in closed containers.
The object of the present invention is to introduce a state of art improvement in order to eliminate said floats within containers.
According to the invention, the system consists of a liquid inlet, a valve, a valve control lever, and a lever release system operated by the depression generated by a venturi suction system controlling a series of valves and pistons that allow lever release and the system reset. With reference to the drawings and according to a first possible embodiment, a system for filling liquids inside containers and checking the liquid level is indicated by 1.
Said device 1 having a water inlet 2, a flow control valve 3, which is opened via stem 3a of the control valve 3, by means of the control lever 4, being said control lever 4 hinged to a fixed element 9c of the main body 9 in the fulcrum 9h and having said lever 4, in the opposite part to the fulcrum 9h, a passageway 4d suitable to allow stem 6a, of the control piston 6, to pass through said lever 4 without interference. Control lever 4 is connected to a control piston 6 by means of a movable connection element 7, and being said movable connection element 7 concentric and free to slide vertically along the stem 6a of the control piston 6, being said movable connection element 7 forced to slide on the surface 4a of the control lever 4 by means of fixed plugs 7a and 7b, being said plugs 7a and 7b placed sliding inside the guides 4b and 4c of the control lever 4.
The movable connection element 7 is composed of a central body 7i having a shape complementary to the shame of stem 6a of the control piston 6, and said central body 7i is concentric to the stem 6a and said central body 7i having anchored to the right and left ends two elastic fins 7c and 7d and said elastic fins 7c and 7d equipped with lateral pawls 7g and 7h positioned at the same level of the openings 71 and 7m of the central body 7i .
Said central body 7i having two further openings 7n and 7o positioned above the openings 71 and 7m.
Said openings 71 and 7m suitable of holding in its interior the heads 6d and 6e of the movable flaps 6b and 6c of the control piston 6 when the control lever 4 is in rest position (Fig 2), and said openings 7n and 7o suitable of holding in its interior the heads 6d and 6e of the movable flaps 6b and 6c of the control piston 6 when the control lever 4 is in the raised position.
The control piston 6 is held locked in the position shown in Figure 2 by a plurality of balls 28 which are held against the shoulders 9i of the slider 9b of the main body 9 by means of a central control pin 20, and said piston control 6 having at its base a stem 6a having at its lower end two movable flaps 6b and 6c whose heads 6d and 6e are suitable to fit into the openings 71, 7m and 7n, 7o of the movable connection element 7 during the vertical sliding of the movable connection element 7 along the stem 6a of the control piston 6..
The central control pin 20 is held in position by the force exerted by a spring 22, and said central control pin 20 is actuated upwardly from a diaphragm 21 in response to the depression generated by the venturi suction system 13, being said venturi suction system 13 in communication through the connection channel 24 with the vacuum chamber 26 placed above the diaphragm 21 and closed by a plug 31.
The depression does not reach operating value until the opening 18a of the suction channel 18 communicating with the venturi suction system 13 and the vacuum chamber 26 is closed by the water rising from the container during filling.
Therefore, in normal operation, the system is actuated by means of the control lever 4 which pressed on the shaft 3a of the control valve 3 by opening the same valve 3, allowing the fluid to flow within the outlet channel 40 and within the venturi suction system 13 and at the same time said control lever 4, thanks to its guides 4b and 4c, within which the plugs 7a and 7b of movable connection element 7 are forced to slide, drags the movable connection element 7 upward along the stem 6a of the control piston 6 allowing heads 6d and 6e, of the movable flaps 6b and 6c, to be positioned within the openings 7a and 7b by blocking the movable connection element 7 and, consequently, the control lever 4, in a position permitting continuous flow of liquid within the outlet channel 40 and passing through the venturi suction system 13 and then filling the container. In this state, the venturi suction system 13 will aspirate air through the channel 18 until the liquid, during filling the container, will close the opening 18a of the suction channel 18, allowing the depression to reach a sufficient value to pull upwards the pin control 20, releasing the control piston 6 which will be pushed downwards along guide 9b by the force exerted by the spring 30 via the stem 3a of the valve 3.
Said control piston 6, in descending, drags down the movable connection element 7, anchored to the piston 6, by means of movable flaps 6b and 6c secured within the openings 7n and 7o and consequently, the lever command 4, which is anchored to the movable connection element 7, will be pushed down until the elastic fins 7c and 7d, of the movable anchor element 7, will are crushed against the concave surface 50a of the release base 50, allowing the notches 7g and 7h to press the heads 6d and 6e of the movable flaps 6b and 6c thus releasing the control piston 6 from the other elements.
The control piston 6, once released, returns to the starting position under the effect of the force exerted by the spring 32 and the control lever 4 and the movable connection element 7 are positioned on the release base 50.
In short, with this embodiment, is achieved a flow control system with automatic reset.
According to a second possible embodiment, a system for filling liquids inside containers and checking the liquid level is indicated by 1.
Said device 1 having a water inlet 2, a flow control valve 3, which is opened via stem 3a of the control valve 3, by means of the control lever 4, being said control lever 4 hinged to a shut-off piston 5 in the fulcrum 9h, and having said lever 4, in the opposite part to the fulcrum 9h, a passageway 4d suitable to allow stem 6a, of the control piston 6, to pass through said lever 4 without interference.
The movable connection element 7 is composed of a central body 7i having a shape complementary to the shame of the stem 6a of the control piston 6, and said central body 7i is concentric to the stem 6a and said central body 7i having anchored to the right and left ends two elastic fins 7c and 7d and said elastic fins 7c and 7d equipped with lateral pawls 7g and 7h positioned at the same level of the openings 71 and 7m of the central body 7i.
Said central body 7i having two further openings 7n and 7o positioned above the openings 71 and 7m.
Said openings 71 and 7m suitable of holding in its interior the heads 6d and 6e of the movable flaps 6b and 6c of the control piston 6 when the control lever 4 is in rest position (Fig 4), and said openings 7n and 7o suitable of holding in its interior the heads 6d and 6e of the movable flaps 6b and 6c of the control piston 6 when the control lever 4 is in the raised position (Fig.5) .
The shut-off piston 5 is held locked in the position shown in Figure 4 by a plurality of balls 8 which are held against the shoulders 91 of the slider 9a of the main body 9 by means of a central control pin 10,
The control pin 10 is composed of a bottom part in contact with the balls 8, being said control pin 10 held in position by the force exerted by a spring 12, and said central control pin 10 is actuated upwardly from a diaphragm 11 in response to the depression generated by the venturi suction system 13, being said venturi suction system 13 in communication through the connection channel 14 with the vacuum chamber 16 placed above the diaphragm 11 and closed by a plug 41.
The control piston 6 is held locked in the position shown in Figure 2 by a plurality of balls 28 which are held against the shoulders 9i of the slider 9b of the main body 9 by means of a central control pin 20, and said piston control 6 having at its base a stem 6a having at its lower end two movable flaps 6b and 6c whose heads 6d and 6e are suitable to fit into the openings 71, 7m and 7n, 7o of the movable connection element 7 during the vertical sliding of the movable connection element 7 along the stem 6a of the control piston 6.
The central control pin 20 is held in position by the force exerted by a spring 22, and said central control pin 20 is actuated upwardly by a diaphragm 21 in response to the depression generated by the venturi suction system 13, being said venturi suction system 13 in communication through the connection channel 24 with the vacuum chamber 26 placed above the diaphragm 21 and closed by a plug 31. The depression does not reach operating value until the opening 18a of the suction channel 18, communicating with the venturi suction system 13 and the vacuum chambers 26 and 16, is closed by the water rising from the container during filling.
Therefore, in normal operation, the system is actuated by means of the control lever 4 which pressed on the shaft 3a of the control valve 3 by opening the same valve 3, allowing the fluid to flow within the outlet channel 40 and within the venturi suction system 13 and at the same time said control lever 4, thanks to its guides 4b and 4c, within which the plugs 7a and 7b of movable connection element 7 are forced to slide, drags the movable connection element 7 along the stem 6a of the control piston 6 allowing heads 6d and 6e, of the movable flaps 6b and 6c, to be positioned within the openings 7a and 7b by blocking the movable connection element 7 and, consequently, the control lever 4, in a position permitting continuous flow of liquid within the outlet channel 40 and passing through the venturi suction system 13 and then filling the container. In this state, the venturi suction system 13 will aspirate air through the channel 18 until the liquid, during filling the container, will close the opening 18a of the suction channel 18, allowing the depression to reach a sufficient value to pull upwards the pins control 10 and 20, releasing the shut-off piston 5 and the control piston 6
The shut-off pistom 5, once released, is pushed downwards by the force exerted of the spring 30 which also closes the control valve 3, interrupting the flow of the liquid.
The control piston 6, once released, is pushed downwards by the force exerted of the spring 30, and said control piston 6, in descending, drags down the movable connection element 7, anchored to the piston 6, by means of movable flaps 6b and 6c secured within the openings 7n and 7o and consequently, the lever command 4, which is anchored to the movable connection element 7, will be pushed down until the elastic fins 7c and 7d, of the movable connection element 7, will are crushed against the concave surface 50a of the release base 50, allowing the notches 7g and 7h to press the heads 6d and 6e of the movable flaps 6b and 6c thus releasing the control piston 6 which , by the force of spring 32, will return to the starting position together with the control lever 4 and with the movable connection element 7, and also allow the shut-off piston 5 to go upwardly along the guide 9a of the main body 9 under the effect of the force exerted by the spring 33, returning to the starting position since the geometric conditions will put it out of the force exerted by the spring 30.
In short, with this embodiment, is achieved the same system of the first embodiment but in this second case the presence of the shut-off piston 5 ensures the liquid flow interruption, in the event of malfunction of the control piston 6, or the movable attachment element 7 or lever .
