Definitions
- the present invention relates generally to an item of outer clothing, in particular a jacket, and in particular an item of outer clothing, in particular a jacket, having at least one outer pocket attached to an outer side which defines an interior space which is accessible via an access opening.
- such jackets have outside pockets in which various items, including valuables, such as money, credit cards, check cards, ID cards, etc., and also larger items, such as purses, smartphones, keys, etc., are stored and carried can.
- the outer pockets can be used as breast pockets on at least one breast part or as a lower part Pocket be arranged in the stomach area of a front part of the jacket.
- an outer pocket can generally be closed. Your access opening can be closed by a zipper, a Velcro fastener, a buttoned cover flap or similar means, so that the interior of the outer pocket cannot easily be reached with the hands from the outside.
- Prudent people prefer to store valuables in hard-to-reach places, e.g. in inside jacket pockets, on vacation, on walks or when shopping. If many large objects, such as wallets, smartphones, keys and the like, are to be stored securely, the space in the inner pockets may not be sufficient for this. In addition, carrying such objects in the inner pockets can be uncomfortable for the wearer because these objects then press relatively directly against his chest or stomach.
- an object of the invention to create an item of outer clothing, in particular a jacket, which enables valuables to be stored largely safely.
- an item of outer clothing in the form of an outer jacket with at least one outer pocket, the contents of which are better protected against theft without impairing the comfort of the jacket.
- the outer garment in particular the jacket, according to the invention has an outside, an inside and at least one outside pocket which is attached to the outside and defines an interior space that is accessible via an engagement opening.
- the outer pocket is completely closed on the outside, and the engagement opening is arranged on the inside and is only accessible from the inside.
- the invention provides an theft-proof outer pocket which is arranged on the outer side remote from the body and is visible from the outside.
- the outer pocket can be designed generously in terms of its dimensions to also accommodate large-format and / or bulky valuables such as purses, smartphones, keys or the like, because there is sufficient space available on the outside of the outer clothing item.
- the interior of the outer pocket can have a height and a width of more than 10.0 cm, preferably even more than 12.0 cm, and the depth can, if necessary, be more than 2.0 cm, preferably more than 3.0 cm. With a larger capacity, the carrying comfort is also better than with corresponding attached or inserted inner pockets.
- the outer pocket is completely closed to the outside and inaccessible from the outside.
- the outer pocket can only be accessed from the body-hugging inside of the Outer garment possible from via the inwardly executed engagement opening.
- the access opening leads from the inside of the outer garment through the fabric of the jacket directly to the interior of the outer pocket.
- the outer pocket can only be used or accessed from the inside, an effective protection against theft is created. Access to the contents of the outer pocket is made much more difficult for unauthorized persons. A pickpocket will fail when trying to get into the pocket from the outside and may be caught doing so. It is also difficult for the pickpocket to steal something past the wearer's body, even when the jacket is open, but especially when the jacket is closed, without the wearer noticing. Overall, good protection against pickpocketing can be offered.
- the outer clothing item according to the invention is preferably a jacket which, to distinguish it from a blouse, shirt or sweater, generally consists of a heavier or warmer material and is worn over this and not directly on the skin or an undershirt.
- Different jackets can be equipped with at least one theft-protected outer pocket according to the invention.
- the jacket is selected from a group to which leisure, outdoor, functional jackets of any type of cut and made of any material, with or without inner lining, for any purpose, including hardshell, softshell, rain, summer, Winter, transitional, fleece, synthetic fiber, down, leather, knitted, Ski, hiking and trekking jackets, but also anoraks, parkas, blazers, blousons, boleros, field jackets, saccos, tailcoats, coats and vests, including those with short sleeves, including and preferably but not limited to.
- the outer design of the jacket such as collar, dividing seams, cuffs, etc., can be chosen as desired.
- the jacket is preferably open at the front part from the neck piece downwards, but designed to be closable by a button strip, a zipper, hooks, ribbon loops or other means.
- the jacket can be a men's jacket, a women's jacket, a jacket for adults, for teenagers, children, or even for toddlers.
- the at least one outer pocket can in particular be placed from the outside onto a section, for example a breast part, of the outside of the item of outer clothing and sewn on from the outside.
- the seam can be visible from the outside.
- a very spacious outer pocket can be created that offers a large storage volume.
- the at least one outer pocket can alternatively be accessed from the outside on a portion, e.g. a chest part attached to the outside of the outer garment, but sewn onto it from the inside.
- the seam is then preferably only visible from the inside and not accessible from the outside. It cannot be opened quickly and easily by experienced pickpockets.
- the at least one outer pocket can be placed on or attached at an angle.
- the engagement opening can run horizontally, obliquely or vertically.
- the at least one outer pocket can be made from the same material as the upper material of the item of outer clothing.
- the outer pocket can, however, also have an additional inner material and, if necessary, an inner lining for lining and stabilization. It is also possible to produce the outer pocket from a different material than the upper material of the outer garment in order to achieve different visual or aesthetic effects.
- the at least one outer pocket can be constructed from a single piece of fabric material to be closed.
- the fabric material for the outer pocket can be cut in advance and pre-sewn to the shape of the outer pocket and is then sewn as a whole to the finished jacket or a jacket part.
- An edge, e.g. The upper edge of the outer pocket, which normally defines an access opening, is sewn to the upper material of the outer garment in order to completely close the outer pocket to the outside.
- the at least one outer pocket is constructed in several parts. It can have an upper pocket part and a cover flap closing it.
- the cover flap then covers the upper edge of the upper part of the pocket, surrounds it and is sewn to it, so that the outer pocket is completely closed to the outside.
- the cover flap can be used as a separate piece of fabric from the upper part of the bag, if necessary from one other material, made and firmly connected to the bag top.
- Such cover flaps are generally known as so-called flaps of coats, jackets or other jackets, but cannot be opened here from the outside.
- the cover flap can be prefabricated together with the upper part of the bag, sewn in advance and later sewn as a whole to the outer garment.
- the at least one outer pocket is designed as a bellows pocket.
- a bellows pocket is a large-volume patch pocket in which the attachment or upper part of the pocket is not sewn onto the outer garment, but instead a specially cut strip of fabric with a fold is inserted between the upper part of the pocket and the outside of the outer garment and is sewn to it.
- the strip of fabric is folded like an accordion, which is why a bellows pocket is sometimes referred to as a harmonica pocket.
- the strip of fabric allows the pocket to pop open or expand, increasing the interior space of the pocket when in use, when an object is placed in the pocket, while the empty pocket is laid back in its original flat shape on the outside of the jacket.
- the bellows pocket enables a particularly large storage volume and is particularly suitable for implementing the invention.
- the at least one outer pocket can be arranged as a breast pocket and / or a lower pocket on a front part of the outer garment.
- the theft-proof bag is particularly preferred as a breast pocket in the chest area, e.g. on one or on each half of the chest, of the item of outer clothing, especially the jacket, application.
- a lower pocket in the stomach area of the item of outer clothing, in particular the jacket can also be designed to be theft-proof in the manner according to the invention.
- the outer clothing item can also have two or more outer pockets attached to the outside and only accessible from the inside on different sections of the outer clothing item.
- E.g. four attachment pockets according to the invention, two breast pockets and two lower pockets, can be provided on the front part of the outer garment.
- these theft-protected outer pockets can also be covered by other elements of the item of outer clothing, such as, for example, cover flaps, further pockets or the like.
- the outer clothing item can have a combination pocket with a side hand rest which can be operated from the outside and which is also referred to as a pouch pocket, inside of which an outside pocket according to the invention can be accommodated.
- the access opening for the at least one outer pocket can be covered by a flap which is attached to the inside of the outer garment above the access opening and can overlap it in order to protect the access opening against unauthorized access.
- the engagement opening can be closed by an additional closure means.
- the closure means prevents objects from falling out of the bag unnoticed during exercise, sport or play, and provides an additional barrier to unauthorized intervention by pickpockets.
- the fastening means can be selected from a group which includes and preferably, but not limited to, zip fasteners, snap fasteners, combinations of button and buttonhole or loop, Velcro fasteners, tabs and magnetic fasteners.
- Other closure techniques known now or developed in the future can be used to close the access opening from the inside, depending on the arrangement, size and operability of the pockets.
- the closure means is a zip fastener which is attached to the engagement opening in order to create or block access to the at least one outer pocket.
- the zip fastener and the engagement opening can preferably run horizontally or only rise slightly.
- a zipper of the zipper can be arranged closer to an arm section of the outer garment in the closed state than in the open state.
- the zipper When closed, the zipper is located deep inside, near the respective sleeve part, and is therefore difficult to reach for unauthorized persons even when the jacket is open.
- a securing means can be provided in order to additionally secure the closing means against opening on the inside of the outer clothing item.
- a snap fastener can be provided on the zipper puller to fix the zipper on the inside when closed. Before the zipper can be opened, the push button must first be opened with a relatively high tensile force, which increases the effort and difficulties for a pickpocket.
- the at least one outer pocket can, if required, additionally have an inner part or inner material to increase the stability of the pocket.
- An inner lining can also be provided in the outer pocket.
- the at least one outer pocket can have an inner pocket bag made from a cut-resistant material.
- the cut-resistant material can reinforce the at least one outer pocket and prevent or at least make it considerably more difficult for a pickpocket to cut the outer pocket.
- Fabrics made of polyamide (nylon) are particularly suitable as cut-resistant materials, as e.g. are available under the registered trademark Cordura® from Invista Textiles (U.K.) Ltd, Manchester, GB, or aramid textiles such as Kevlar®, which is a registered trademark of E.I. Du Pont de Nemour and Co., Wilmington Del., US, is.
- Other cut-resistant materials made from other largely tear-resistant technical fibers that are known today or will be developed in the future can be used in order to achieve the purpose desired here.
- a conventional inner pocket placed on or inserted on the inside can also be attached to the inside of the outer clothing, preferably in the area of the at least one outer pocket, congruent with it, which is accessible from the inside and preferably can be closed by means of a further closure means.
- Other items, including valuables that do not significantly impair the wearing comfort, can be stored in the inner pocket.
- the further closure means is preferably a zip fastener, but can be any desired closure means as mentioned above in connection with the access opening of the at least one outer pocket.
- Figure 1 Figure 3 shows, in a top plan view from the front, a jacket 1 with at least one outside pocket, which generally represents an outer garment 1 to which the present invention can be applied.
- the jacket 1 is designed as a leisure jacket with a specific cut, the invention is not limited to any specific design of the jacket.
- the jacket 1 can be a leisure, outdoor or functional jacket of any type of cut and any material.
- the jacket 1 can be a hardshell, softshell, rain, summer, winter, transitional, fleece, synthetic fiber, down, leather, knitted, ski, hiking and trekking jacket.
- jacket should also be understood here to mean articles of clothing such as are sometimes referred to as anoraks, parkas, blowers, blousons, boleros, field jackets, saccos, tails, coats and vests.
- the jacket 1 is not a blouse, shirt, sweater or any other item of clothing that is usually worn under an outer jacket and that is usually made of a lighter fabric than the jacket 1.
- FIG Figure 1 shows an external view of the jacket 1
- FIG Figure 2 partially illustrates an interior view of the jacket 1 in the open state thereof.
- the jacket 1 has an in Figure 1 the front part 2 facing the viewer, one in Figure 1 turned away from the viewer and in Figure 2 partially exposed back part 3, a first, right sleeve 4 and a second, left sleeve 6.
- the directions “right”, “left”, “up”, “down”, terms modified therefrom or related thereto are used in the description of the figures, these refer to the directions and orientations that apply when the jacket 1 is properly worn by a user not shown here, hereinafter also referred to as a carrier.
- the right sleeve 4 is the one that receives the right arm of the wearer, while, for example, the top of the jacket 1 receives the chest and neck area of the wearer.
- the outer side 7 of the jacket is to be referred to as the distal side remote from the body, which is turned away from the body of the wearer, as in particular from Figure 1 can be seen, while the inside 8 of the jacket 1 is the proximal, body-close side of the jacket 1, which faces the body of the wearer and of which a part when the jacket 1 is open in FIG Figure 2 can be seen.
- the front part 2 of the jacket 1 has a first or right front part half 9 and a second or left front part half 11, which can be connected to and separated from one another by a zipper 12.
- the zipper 12 runs here in the front part 2 centrally over the entire length of the jacket 1 from a collar 13, which is arranged at the upper end of the jacket 1 to form a neckline 14, to a waistband 16 of the jacket 1, which is the lower edge of the jacket 1 and is intended to enclose the hip or seat area of a wearer.
- the zipper 12 is illustrated here as extending over the entire length of the front part 2, the zipper 12 could also only extend downwards from the collar 13 only over a partial area of the front part 2.
- another closure device could be provided in order to close the jacket 1 and to open, such as.
- the sleeves 4, 6 are designed here as long sleeves, which run from a respective connection point with the front part 2 and the back part 3 to cuffs 17 and 18, respectively, which are provided and arranged to accommodate the wrists of the wearer.
- the jacket 1 has several, in the present case four, outer pockets 21, 22, 23, 24 which are attached to the outer side 7 of the jacket 1, here in particular to the front part 2.
- a first outer pocket or breast pocket 21 is arranged in a chest area of the first, right front part half 9, while a second outer pocket or breast pocket 22 is arranged in a chest area of the second, left front part half 11.
- a first, right and a second, left lower pocket are arranged in a stomach area of the jacket 1.
- the first and second breast pockets 21, 22 and the first and second lower pockets 23, 24 are each arranged and designed essentially mirror images of one another with respect to the zip fastener 12. In this respect it is sufficient to describe only one of the breast pockets 21, 22 or the lower pockets 23, 24 in more detail, and the description then also applies accordingly to the other outer pocket.
- all outer pockets 21-24 are designed in the form of bellows pockets, which are provided with a folded piece of fabric on the lateral sides and on the underside, which, when the respective outer pocket 21-25 is loaded, it allows the pocket to pop open or expand, while the pocket without its contents can lay in a flat original position.
- FIG. 13 shows an interior view of the left breast pocket 22 in an isolated, cut-away view
- FIG Figure 4 a sectional view of the breast pocket 22 shows.
- Figure 5 shows a longitudinal section through one of the breast pockets 21 or 22.
- the breast pockets 21, 22 are each designed in the form of a bellows pocket which, in the exemplary embodiment shown here, has an upper pocket part 26, a fabric strip 27, a cover flap 28 and a snap-fastener loop 29.
- the upper pocket part 26 is the fabric part which defines and delimits the respective breast pocket 21 or 22 towards the outside and has an essentially parallelogram-shaped shape here.
- the upper pocket part 26 could also be designed rectangular or differently.
- the pocket upper part 26 is arranged at a distance from the outside 7 of the upper material 31 of the jacket 1.
- the fabric strip 27 connects the pocket upper part 26 to the outside 7 of the upper material 31 of the jacket 1.
- the fabric strip 27 is narrow and elongated and runs from an upper edge 32 of the outer pocket 21, 22 continuously along a first lateral side 33, further along an underside 34 and finally along a second lateral side 36 up to the upper edge 32 of the pocket 21, 22.
- the fabric strip 27 has a fold 37 that leads to the interior of the pocket 21, 22 is folded. Although a single fold 37 is illustrated here, the fabric strip 27 can also have several such folds in the manner of an accordion. In any case, the fold 27 allows the fabric strip 27 to stretch with an outward displacement of the upper part 26 of the bag and an increase in the storage volume of the interior 40 of the bag 21, 22 when objects are inserted into the bag 21, 22.
- the interior space 4 is essentially delimited or defined by the upper pocket part 26, the fabric strip 27, the cover flap 28 and the outside 7 of the jacket 1 in the area of the pocket 21, 22.
- the fabric strip 27 is sewn on the one hand to the upper material 31 of the jacket 1 and on the other hand to the pocket upper part 26.
- a seam 38 which connects the fabric strip 27 to the upper material 31 of the jacket 1 is in particular in the Figures 2 and 3 illustrated.
- Another seam 39, which connects the fabric strip 27 to the pocket upper part 26, is shown in FIG Figure 4 indicated.
- the cover flap 28 serves to close the outer pocket 21, 22 at the upper edge 32.
- the cover flap 28 extends from a point slightly above the upper edge 32 in the direction of the pocket upper part 26 downwards, overlaps the upper edge 32 and also covers a substantial part of the upper region of the pocket upper part 26.
- the cover flap 28 is, as shown in particular in FIG Figure 5 indicated, via a first seam 41 (cf. also Figure 3 ) with the The upper material 31 of the jacket 1 is firmly connected, while its free end which extends over the upper part of the pocket is sewn to the latter via a further seam 42.
- the optional snap-fastener loop 29 runs approximately in the middle of the respective outer pocket 21, 22 from the upper edge of the cover flap 28 down to roughly the middle of the respective pocket 21 or 22.
- the snap-fastener loops 29 do not and have no securing function here only intended for decoration or for distraction, for example to suggest to a pickpocket that the cover flap 28 is secured by the push-button loop 29, which is not the case. Otherwise, the snap fastener loop 29 can be secured to the upper part 26 of the bag by means of its snap fastener or it can also be sewn to it. It can also be omitted.
- the individual elements 26-29 can be sewn together in advance to form the pocket 21 or 22, whereupon the pocket 21 or 22 can be placed on the outside 7 of the upper material 31 of the jacket 1 and sewn or stitched onto it.
- the seam 38 is advantageously only visible from the inside 8 of the jacket 1, which, in addition to aesthetic considerations, also results in the advantage that the seam 38 is not accessible from the outside and is thus housed protected against improper tearing.
- the seam 38 could, however, also be arranged and visible on the outside 7 of the jacket 1.
- the breast pocket 21 or 22 formed in this way is completely closed to the outside and inaccessible from the outside 7.
- an engagement opening 44 is provided provided, which is arranged on the inside 8 of the jacket 1 according to the invention.
- the engagement opening 44 extends from the inside 7 through the material of the jacket 1 to the interior 40, so that it is only accessible from the inside 8.
- the engagement opening 44 is formed in the vicinity of the upper edge 32, at a small distance from it and essentially parallel to it and here runs slightly obliquely to the front zipper 12.
- the engagement opening 44 could also run horizontally, in particular if the upper edge 32 of the outer pocket 21, 22 has a substantially horizontal course. In embodiments, the engagement opening 44 could also be oriented vertically or approximately vertically.
- a closure means 46 is provided on the engagement opening 44, which is used to close or open the engagement opening 44 as required.
- the closure means 46 is here preferably a zip fastener 47 which is sewn onto the engagement opening 44.
- the zipper 47 consists in the usual way of two side parts with small teeth 48a, 48b and a slide 49, referred to as a zipper, with which the staples can be hooked into one another and released again.
- the zipper 49 in one aspect of the invention can preferably be arranged in such a way that it is closer to the associated sleeve 4 or 6 of the jacket 1 in the closed state than in the open state.
- the zipper 49 of the zipper 47 in the closed state, is in the vicinity of the uppermost corner of the outer pocket 21, 22 of the front zipper 12 of the jacket 1 located farthest away. In this position, it is extremely difficult for unauthorized persons to access the zipper 49 and to open the access opening 44.
- the lower outer pockets 23, 24 of the jacket 1 can in principle be designed in a conventional manner, for example as bellows pockets with an access opening on the outer side 7 in order to be accessible from the outer side 7.
- they are preferably completely closed on the outside 7 and are only accessible from the inside 8.
- the lower pockets 23, 24, apart from their somewhat larger dimensions, are approximately identical or identical to the breast pockets 21, 22, so that based on the same reference numerals, which are only provided with an additional apostrophe for differentiation, and with reference to the Figures 1 to 5 reference is made to the above description of the design of the breast pockets 21, 22, which applies here in the same way.
- the lower pockets 23, 24 are here each as bellows pockets with an upper pocket part 26 'that defines the outer surface or boundary of the pocket, a strip of fabric 27' that connects the upper pocket part 26 'with the outside 7 of the jacket 1 and includes a fold 37 ', a cover flap 28' and an optional snap-fastener loop 29 '.
- the pocket upper part 26 ', the fabric strip 27' and the cover plate 28 ' form the outer pocket 23 and 24 attached and sewn to the upper material 31 of the jacket 1 and define an interior 40' of the outer pocket 23 and 24, not shown here.
- the outer pocket 23 or 24 is completely closed towards the outside 7.
- An engagement opening 44 ' is arranged on the inside 8 of the jacket 1 and is only accessible from the inside 8 in order to be able to reach the interior 40' of the outer pocket 23 or 24 by hand.
- the engagement opening 44 ' runs along and at a small distance from the upper edge 32' slightly obliquely upwards, in contrast to the breast pockets 21, 22 here the course increases towards the middle of the jacket 1, i.e. towards the front zip 12.
- the engagement opening 44 ' can be closed by a closure means 46' in the form of a zipper 47 ', the zipper 49' of which is preferably arranged closer to the respective sleeve 4 or 6 in the closed state than in the open state in order to make access even more difficult for unauthorized persons .
- the jacket 1 described so far can be worn in the usual way by one person.
- Valuables such as a wallet, documents, a smartphone, keys, etc.
- the outer pockets 21-24 offer sufficient storage space for large and / or bulky items.
- the objects carried on the outside 7 of the jacket 1 in the outer pockets 21-24 press less against the body of a wearer than objects carried in any inner pockets, so that the wearing comfort is improved here compared to corresponding inner pockets.
- the bag contents in the outer pockets 21-24 are good against you unauthorized access, especially protected against pickpocketing.
- the outer pockets 21-24 are arranged on the outside 7 of the jacket 1 and are visible from the outside, but are completely closed to the outside and inaccessible from the outside.
- any of the above-mentioned jacket-like or jacket-like outer garments, up to, jackets, tails, coats and vests with the inventive, can be outside Completely closed outer pockets 21-24 that are only accessible from the inside. It is sufficient to design at least one of the outer pockets 21-24 in the manner according to the invention, or only some of these outer pockets or all of them can be designed according to the invention.
- the Jacket 1 have a combination of the invention and conventional outer pockets.
- the item of outer clothing 1 can also have only a single outer pocket 21-24, which is then designed according to the invention. Insofar as reference is made in the description to the outer pockets 21-24 according to the invention, this also means only a single such pocket 21-24 according to the invention.
- the jacket 1 can be constructed in any way with regard to its design, its materials, etc.
- the front zipper 12 can extend from the neck collar 13 only over a section of the front part 2, for example over the upper half of the jacket 1.
- a button strip or hooks, ribbon loops or other closing means can also be used in order to be able to close and open the jacket 1 as required.
- the jacket 1 can also always be worn open and have no closing means.
- the material of the jacket 1 can also have an inner fabric and, if necessary, an inner lining.
- the outer pockets 21-24 are designed as bellows pockets, the outer pockets 21-24 can also be designed differently and differently from one another. E.g. they can simply be created from a single piece of fabric material that is appropriately closed and sewn.
- the outer pockets 21-24 can be made from the same material as the upper material of the outer clothing item 1 or from a different material.
- the outer pockets 21-24 can have different shapes, for example. round or rounded in areas, rectangular, square, triangular, trapezoidal or with any other suitable shape.
- the engagement opening 44, 44 ' can also be left open or provided with a cover flap.
- a closure means 46, 46 ' for example a zipper 47, 47', for the access opening 44, 44 ' is preferred because of the increased security against falling out of the bag's contents and against pickpockets.
- other closure means such as, for example, Velcro fasteners, snap fasteners, combinations of button and buttonhole or loop, tabs, magnetic fasteners or the like, can also be used.
- the zipper 49, 49 ′ could also be arranged on the side facing away from the respective sleeve 4 or 6, near the front zipper 12.
- the engagement opening 44, 44 'with the associated closure means 46, 46' could also be oriented differently, for example vertically or approximately vertically.
- the zipper 49 or 49 'at least one of the outer pockets 21-24 has an additional safety device.
- the zipper 49 or 49 ' is provided here with a tab 51, which carries a male or female snap fastener element 52 at its end, which is inserted into a complementary snap fastener element (not shown here). can be pressed in or snapped into place to additionally secure the zipper 49, 49 'in its closed position.
- the complementary snap fastener element can be attached to the inside 7 of the jacket 1, for example in the area of the outside pocket 21-24.
- Figure 7 shows a cross section through an outer pocket, for example one of the outer pockets 21-24, according to a further embodiment.
- an inner pocket bag 53 which consists of a cut-resistant material, is sewn into the pocket.
- the inner pocket bag 53 can line the respective pocket 21-24 preferably at least on the underside 34, 34 ', the lateral sides 33, 33' and 36, 36 'and along the upper part 26, 26' of the bag. However, it can also be provided on the inside of the cover flap 28, 28 'in order to cover the entire outside pocket 21-24 on the inside.
- the inner pocket bag 53 made of the cut-resistant material reduces the risk that a pickpocket will simply cut open the outer pocket in order to access the contents of the bag.
- the cut-resistant material of the inner pocket bag 53 preferably consists of suitable technical synthetic fibers which are characterized by particularly high tear resistance. Fabrics made of polyamide (nylon), for example Cordura® from Invista, or textiles are particularly preferred made of aromatic polyamide fibers, in particular Kevlar® from DuPont. However, other cut-resistant materials made of other than the technical textile fibers mentioned here, which are commercially available now or will be developed in the future, can also be used if they are suitable for the present purpose.
- FIG. 8 Another embodiment of the invention is illustrated in FIG.

Description
The present invention relates generally to an item of outer clothing, in particular a jacket, and in particular an item of outer clothing, in particular a jacket, having at least one outer pocket attached to an outer side which defines an interior space which is accessible via an access opening.
In colder climates or seasons, with lower temperatures, rain, wind or snow, it is common to wear several layers of clothing. Often over blouses, shirts, sweaters or the like, which usually consist of lighter material and are worn directly on the skin or over an undershirt, jackets made of a heavier or warmer material are worn, if necessary, lined, windproof and / or can be waterproof. Many forms of such jackets with different cuts, made of different materials and for different purposes are known, which in a broader sense also include blazers, blousons, jackets, coats and vests.
In general, such jackets have outside pockets in which various items, including valuables, such as money, credit cards, check cards, ID cards, etc., and also larger items, such as purses, smartphones, keys, etc., are stored and carried can. The outer pockets can be used as breast pockets on at least one breast part or as a lower part Pocket be arranged in the stomach area of a front part of the jacket. In order to prevent the objects carried in the outer pocket from falling out and to protect the contents of the bag against unauthorized access, an outer pocket can generally be closed. Your access opening can be closed by a zipper, a Velcro fastener, a buttoned cover flap or similar means, so that the interior of the outer pocket cannot easily be reached with the hands from the outside.
Nevertheless, such outer pockets are easy prey for pickpockets, who, especially in a crowd, can skillfully open the outer pockets, reach into them and steal the valuables contained therein. For experienced pickpockets, opening the zips, cover flaps or other closures on the outside of the jacket pockets is not too difficult.
Prudent people prefer to store valuables in hard-to-reach places, e.g. in inside jacket pockets, on vacation, on walks or when shopping.
It is also common to keep valuables in special breast or belly pouches that are placed under the jacket or immediately worn on the skin, protected to accommodate. Such breast or abdominal bags, however, suffer from the same disadvantages as the inner pockets, namely the limited storage space and the impaired comfort for the wearer.
Based on this, it is an object of the invention to create an item of outer clothing, in particular a jacket, which enables valuables to be stored largely safely. In particular, it is an object of the invention to create an item of outer clothing in the form of an outer jacket with at least one outer pocket, the contents of which are better protected against theft without impairing the comfort of the jacket.
To solve this problem, an item of outer clothing with the features of
The outer garment, in particular the jacket, according to the invention has an outside, an inside and at least one outside pocket which is attached to the outside and defines an interior space that is accessible via an engagement opening. The outer pocket is completely closed on the outside, and the engagement opening is arranged on the inside and is only accessible from the inside.
In contrast to conventional items of clothing that use hidden or covered inner pockets to protect against theft, the invention provides an theft-proof outer pocket which is arranged on the outer side remote from the body and is visible from the outside. The outer pocket can be designed generously in terms of its dimensions to also accommodate large-format and / or bulky valuables such as purses, smartphones, keys or the like, because there is sufficient space available on the outside of the outer clothing item. The interior of the outer pocket can have a height and a width of more than 10.0 cm, preferably even more than 12.0 cm, and the depth can, if necessary, be more than 2.0 cm, preferably more than 3.0 cm. With a larger capacity, the carrying comfort is also better than with corresponding attached or inserted inner pockets. According to the invention, the outer pocket is completely closed to the outside and inaccessible from the outside. The outer pocket can only be accessed from the body-hugging inside of the Outer garment possible from via the inwardly executed engagement opening. The access opening leads from the inside of the outer garment through the fabric of the jacket directly to the interior of the outer pocket.
Since the outer pocket can only be used or accessed from the inside, an effective protection against theft is created.
The outer clothing item according to the invention is preferably a jacket which, to distinguish it from a blouse, shirt or sweater, generally consists of a heavier or warmer material and is worn over this and not directly on the skin or an undershirt. Different jackets can be equipped with at least one theft-protected outer pocket according to the invention. In preferred applications, the jacket is selected from a group to which leisure, outdoor, functional jackets of any type of cut and made of any material, with or without inner lining, for any purpose, including hardshell, softshell, rain, summer, Winter, transitional, fleece, synthetic fiber, down, leather, knitted, Ski, hiking and trekking jackets, but also anoraks, parkas, blazers, blousons, boleros, field jackets, saccos, tailcoats, coats and vests, including those with short sleeves, including and preferably but not limited to. The outer design of the jacket, such as collar, dividing seams, cuffs, etc., can be chosen as desired. The jacket is preferably open at the front part from the neck piece downwards, but designed to be closable by a button strip, a zipper, hooks, ribbon loops or other means. The jacket can be a men's jacket, a women's jacket, a jacket for adults, for teenagers, children, or even for toddlers.
The at least one outer pocket can in particular be placed from the outside onto a section, for example a breast part, of the outside of the item of outer clothing and sewn on from the outside. The seam can be visible from the outside. A very spacious outer pocket can be created that offers a large storage volume.
The at least one outer pocket can alternatively be accessed from the outside on a portion, e.g. a chest part attached to the outside of the outer garment, but sewn onto it from the inside. The seam is then preferably only visible from the inside and not accessible from the outside. It cannot be opened quickly and easily by experienced pickpockets.
The at least one outer pocket can be placed on or attached at an angle. The engagement opening can run horizontally, obliquely or vertically.
In advantageous embodiments of any of the above-mentioned items of outer clothing, the at least one outer pocket can be made from the same material as the upper material of the item of outer clothing. The outer pocket can, however, also have an additional inner material and, if necessary, an inner lining for lining and stabilization. It is also possible to produce the outer pocket from a different material than the upper material of the outer garment in order to achieve different visual or aesthetic effects.
In some embodiments of any of the aforementioned outer garments, the at least one outer pocket can be constructed from a single piece of fabric material to be closed. The fabric material for the outer pocket can be cut in advance and pre-sewn to the shape of the outer pocket and is then sewn as a whole to the finished jacket or a jacket part. An edge, e.g. The upper edge of the outer pocket, which normally defines an access opening, is sewn to the upper material of the outer garment in order to completely close the outer pocket to the outside.
In preferred embodiments of any of the above-mentioned items of outer clothing, the at least one outer pocket is constructed in several parts. It can have an upper pocket part and a cover flap closing it. The cover flap then covers the upper edge of the upper part of the pocket, surrounds it and is sewn to it, so that the outer pocket is completely closed to the outside. The cover flap can be used as a separate piece of fabric from the upper part of the bag, if necessary from one other material, made and firmly connected to the bag top. Such cover flaps are generally known as so-called flaps of coats, jackets or other jackets, but cannot be opened here from the outside. The cover flap can be prefabricated together with the upper part of the bag, sewn in advance and later sewn as a whole to the outer garment.
In particularly preferred embodiments, the at least one outer pocket is designed as a bellows pocket. A bellows pocket is a large-volume patch pocket in which the attachment or upper part of the pocket is not sewn onto the outer garment, but instead a specially cut strip of fabric with a fold is inserted between the upper part of the pocket and the outside of the outer garment and is sewn to it. The strip of fabric is folded like an accordion, which is why a bellows pocket is sometimes referred to as a harmonica pocket. The strip of fabric allows the pocket to pop open or expand, increasing the interior space of the pocket when in use, when an object is placed in the pocket, while the empty pocket is laid back in its original flat shape on the outside of the jacket. The bellows pocket enables a particularly large storage volume and is particularly suitable for implementing the invention.
The at least one outer pocket can be arranged as a breast pocket and / or a lower pocket on a front part of the outer garment. The theft-proof bag is particularly preferred as a breast pocket in the chest area, e.g. on one or on each half of the chest, of the item of outer clothing, especially the jacket, application. Alternatively or in addition, a lower pocket in the stomach area of the item of outer clothing, in particular the jacket, can also be designed to be theft-proof in the manner according to the invention.
The outer clothing item can also have two or more outer pockets attached to the outside and only accessible from the inside on different sections of the outer clothing item. E.g. four attachment pockets according to the invention, two breast pockets and two lower pockets, can be provided on the front part of the outer garment.
If necessary, these theft-protected outer pockets can also be covered by other elements of the item of outer clothing, such as, for example, cover flaps, further pockets or the like. E.g. For example, the outer clothing item can have a combination pocket with a side hand rest which can be operated from the outside and which is also referred to as a pouch pocket, inside of which an outside pocket according to the invention can be accommodated.
In principle, it is possible to cover the access opening for the at least one outer pocket by a flap which is attached to the inside of the outer garment above the access opening and can overlap it in order to protect the access opening against unauthorized access. In advantageous embodiments of the invention, however, the engagement opening can be closed by an additional closure means. The closure means prevents objects from falling out of the bag unnoticed during exercise, sport or play, and provides an additional barrier to unauthorized intervention by pickpockets.
Preferably, the fastening means can be selected from a group which includes and preferably, but not limited to, zip fasteners, snap fasteners, combinations of button and buttonhole or loop, Velcro fasteners, tabs and magnetic fasteners. Other closure techniques known now or developed in the future can be used to close the access opening from the inside, depending on the arrangement, size and operability of the pockets.
In particularly preferred embodiments, the closure means is a zip fastener which is attached to the engagement opening in order to create or block access to the at least one outer pocket. The zip fastener and the engagement opening can preferably run horizontally or only rise slightly.
In order to increase protection against tampering, a zipper of the zipper can be arranged closer to an arm section of the outer garment in the closed state than in the open state. When closed, the zipper is located deep inside, near the respective sleeve part, and is therefore difficult to reach for unauthorized persons even when the jacket is open.
In addition, a securing means can be provided in order to additionally secure the closing means against opening on the inside of the outer clothing item. For example, a snap fastener can be provided on the zipper puller to fix the zipper on the inside when closed. Before the zipper can be opened, the push button must first be opened with a relatively high tensile force, which increases the effort and difficulties for a pickpocket.
Du Pont de Nemour and Co., Wilmington Del., US, ist. The at least one outer pocket can, if required, additionally have an inner part or inner material to increase the stability of the pocket. An inner lining can also be provided in the outer pocket. In advantageous embodiments, the at least one outer pocket can have an inner pocket bag made from a cut-resistant material. The cut-resistant material can reinforce the at least one outer pocket and prevent or at least make it considerably more difficult for a pickpocket to cut the outer pocket. Fabrics made of polyamide (nylon) are particularly suitable as cut-resistant materials, as e.g. are available under the registered trademark Cordura® from Invista Textiles (U.K.) Ltd, Manchester, GB, or aramid textiles such as Kevlar®, which is a registered trademark of E.I. Du Pont de Nemour and Co., Wilmington Del., US, is. Other cut-resistant materials made from other largely tear-resistant technical fibers that are known today or will be developed in the future can be used in order to achieve the purpose desired here.
In preferred embodiments of any of the above-mentioned items of outer clothing, a conventional inner pocket placed on or inserted on the inside can also be attached to the inside of the outer clothing, preferably in the area of the at least one outer pocket, congruent with it, which is accessible from the inside and preferably can be closed by means of a further closure means. Other items, including valuables that do not significantly impair the wearing comfort, can be stored in the inner pocket. The further closure means is preferably a zip fastener, but can be any desired closure means as mentioned above in connection with the access opening of the at least one outer pocket.

The
Although the
The

In the preferred embodiment shown, all outer pockets 21-24 are designed in the form of bellows pockets, which are provided with a folded piece of fabric on the lateral sides and on the underside, which, when the respective outer pocket 21-25 is loaded, it allows the pocket to pop open or expand, while the pocket without its contents can lay in a flat original position.
As already mentioned, the breast pockets 21, 22 are each designed in the form of a bellows pocket which, in the exemplary embodiment shown here, has an
The
The optional snap-
The individual elements 26-29 can be sewn together in advance to form the
The
In the embodiment shown, a closure means 46 is provided on the

24.Briefly summarized, the
The
The
Numerous modifications are possible within the scope of the invention. Although a leisure jacket is shown and described here as an exemplary embodiment of an
In addition, the
While here, in the preferred embodiment, the outer pockets 21-24 are designed as bellows pockets, the outer pockets 21-24 can also be designed differently and differently from one another. E.g. they can simply be created from a single piece of fabric material that is appropriately closed and sewn. The outer pockets 21-24 can be made from the same material as the upper material of the

An item of
