Description
- The present invention relates to an egg shelf comprising a movement mechanism and a refrigerator comprising the egg shelf.
- Cooling devices, preferably refrigerators comprise egg trays which provide eggs to be stored by being disposed therein. Determination of the volume occupied by the egg trays, which are preferably disposed to the door shelves of the refrigerator, on the shelf according to the number of eggs is of importance in terms of the effective use of the shelf. Egg trays that are used in the cooling devices and that are disposed on the door shelves or shelves in the refrigerator body are provided for keeping the eggs in a reliably manner. The egg trays that are disposed on the door shelf or that are produced as door shelves cause excessive volume loss on the door shelves.
- As a result of the opening and closing of the door of the cooling device, the eggs and other foodstuffs that are placed to the door shelves are affected from temperature fluctuations and eggs may deteriorate because of temperature fluctuations. In order to solve these problems, it is known in the prior art that egg trays suitable for placement in the body of the refrigerator instead of the door. However, in these types of egg trays located on the shelves in the body, loading and unloading of eggs cannot be done from a single point.
- In the state of the art Chinese Patent Document CN104713303, eggs can be placed on the egg holder stably and it is easy to take the eggs out from the refrigerator.
- The object of the present invention is the realization of an egg shelf which stores the eggs safely while increasing space inside the refrigerator and to provide easy loading and unloading.
- In the egg shelf realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body having a base, a carrier for placing eggs thereon being disposed on the base, a connection means being interposed between the base and the carrier, the base and front of the carrier defining a distance. The egg shelf of the present invention comprises the egg shelf further comprising a movement mechanism for providing front of the carrier to move on an axis extending perpendicular to said base and with respect to back of the carrier, such that a movement of front of the carrier relative to the back of the carrier being downwards, so that the distance is decreased in order to go forward of the eggs with the effect of gravity. This allows users to unload the eggs more easily.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf comprises the movement mechanism which provides a movement of the front of the carrier relative to the back of the carrier being upwards, so that the distance is increased in order to go backwards of the eggs with the effect of gravity. This allows users to load the eggs more easily.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf comprises the movement mechanism which comprises a male connector on the carrier and a female connector being fit on to the male connector. User rotates the female connector and by means of the female connector, the movement is transmitted to the male connector.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf comprises the male connector which comprises a shaft for connecting to the female connector and an oblong member for altering the distance between the base and front of the carrier. Oblong member’s one side is longer than the other side. By the way, if the oblong member sits on its long side, the distance between front part of the carrier and base would be lower than while the oblong member sits on its short edge.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf further comprises a retainer on the carrier for obstructing the fall of the eggs. Retainer is on the axis extending perpendicular to said carrier.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf further comprising at least one channel on the carrier. By means of the channel eggs can be placed side by side.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf further comprising a cover. By means of the cover, the bacteria on the eggs are not circulated in the air stream.
- A refrigerator comprising the egg shelf according to any of the preceding claims.
- By means of the present invention, loading and unloading operations of the eggs are carried out in a safe and easy manner.
- An egg shelf realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:
- Figure 1 – is the perspective view of an egg shelf.
- Figure 2 – is the exploded perspective view of a movement mechanism.
- Figure 3 – is the perspective view of the egg shelf while in the loading position.
- Figure 4 – is the perspective view of the egg shelf while in the unloading position.
- Figure 5 – is the perspective view of the egg shelf.
- Figure 6 – is the perspective view of a refrigerator.
- The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
- 1. Egg shelf
- 2. Body
- 3. Base
- 4. Carrier
- 5. Connection means
- 6. Movement mechanism
- 7. Male connector
- 8. Female connector
- 9. Shaft
- 10. Oblong member
- 11. Retainer
- 12. Channel
- 13. Cover
- 14. Refrigerator
- An egg shelf (1) comprises a body (2) having a base (3), a carrier (4) for placing eggs thereon being disposed on the base (3), a connection means (5) being interposed between the base (3) and the carrier (4), the base (3) and front of the carrier (4) defining a distance.
- The egg shelf (1) of the present invention further comprises a movement mechanism (6) for providing front of the carrier (4) to move on an axis extending perpendicular to said base (3) and with respect to back of the carrier (4), such that a downwards movement of the front of the carrier (4) relative to the back of the carrier (4) causes the distance to be decreased so that the eggs move forward with the effect of gravity (Figure 1).
- User moves the movement mechanism (6) in order to unload the eggs. Movement mechanism (6) alters the distance between the base (3) and front of the carrier (4). By this movement, front of the carrier (4) moves downwards relative to the back of the carrier (4). Thus the egg shelf (1) is brought to the unloading position.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf (1) comprises the movement mechanism (6) which provides an upwards movement of front of the carrier (4) relative to the back of the carrier (4), so that the distance is increased and the eggs move backwards with the effect of gravity. By means of the movement mechanism (6), front of the carrier (4) moves upwards relative to the back of the carrier (4). Thus the egg shelf (1) is brought to the loading position which enables the user to easily load the eggs on the egg shelf (1).
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf (1) comprises the movement mechanism (6) which comprises a male connector (7) on the carrier (4) and a female connector (8) being fit on to the male connector (7). The movement mechanism (6) converts the rotary movement to the linear movement.
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf (1) comprises the male connector (7) which comprises a shaft (9) for connecting the female connector (8) and an oblong member (10) for altering the distance between the base (3) and the front of the carrier (4) (Figure 2). While altering the position from loading position to unloading position, user rotates the female connector (8). The female connector (8) transmits the movement to the shaft (9) and the shaft (9) rotates the oblong member (10) in a manner that its long edge will be on the carrier (4). So the front of the carrier (4) moves closer to the base (3) (Figure 4). While altering the position from unloading position to loading position, user again rotates the female connector (8). The female connector (8) transmits the movement to the shaft (9) and the shaft (9) rotates the oblong member (10) in a manner that its short edge will be on the carrier (4). So the front part of the carrier (4) moves away from the base (Figure 3).
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf (1) further comprising a retainer (11) on the carrier (4) for obstructing the fall of the eggs. The retainer (11) is positioned on the front side of the carrier (4), so when the egg shelf (1) is in unloading position, the retainer (11) prevents eggs to fall down (Figure 5).
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf (1) further comprising at least one channel (12) on the carrier (4). By means of the channels (12), eggs can be safely kept in a flush-seamed manner (Figure 5).
- In another embodiment of the present invention, the egg shelf (1) further comprising a cover (13). By means of the cover (13) the bacteria on the eggs are prevented from spreading on other foods (Figure 5).
- A refrigerator (14) comprising the egg shelf (1) according to any of the preceding claims (Figure 6).
- By means of the present invention, the user can easily load and unload eggs by moving the egg shelf (1) with a movement mechanism (6).
