Further, the drive may include cold-strained gases, which have long been known in the field of spray cans and pneumatic weapons, such as air pistols, air rifles or paintball weapons. Typically, such weapons include either a gas, especially C0 2 cartridge or a spring store.
- the drive can also be provided by a pyrotechnic propellant, static charge, magnetic fields or electric motors, etc. A variety of possible driving are known to those skilled in the art.
- the propulsion system accelerates the projectile to its maximum speed, whereupon the projectile is braked to zero due to air friction or an impact on a target body. The projectile describes approximately during this (neglecting the air resistance) a parabolic flight.
- the distance measuring device is designed such that it allows a distance between the handset and a target body to be measured.
- the distance measuring device is preferably arranged in the region of an outlet opening of the hand-held device and preferably measures a distance between the outlet nozzle of the hand-held device and a supposed target, which would currently be hit upon actuation of the drive.
- the distance measuring device outputs a distance signal to a processor, which determines therefrom, and optionally from other parameters, the pump power.
- the other parameters may include, for example, a fluid temperature (e.g., to take into account the viscosity of the fluid), the outside temperature, humidity, elevation of the nozzle (especially if not automatically adjustable, see below), etc.
- the energy storage provides the acceleration energy for the projectile.
- the energy storage may include a capacity for accelerating one or more projectiles.
- the control unit serves to control the drive as a function of a distance measured with the distance measuring device.
- the control unit is preferably a computing unit, in particular a processor, with which the distance data can be converted into an amount of energy with which the projectile is accelerated.

- the handset comprises the control unit.
- the control unit may also be carried separately, for example decentrally or in a bag, a backpack or the like.
- a power of the drive is controllable in dependence on the measured distance.
- the controller is preferably designed such that, below a predetermined limit distance between the hand-held device and the target body, the drive is operated in such a way that the projectile leaves the hand-held device at a lower speed than if the predetermined limit distance were exceeded.
- the controller can also do this be formed so that below the limit distance of the drive is not activated.
- a plurality of limiting distances are provided, between each of which a power of the drive is assigned, wherein the controller can optionally be configured such that below a minimum limit distance of the drive is completely switched off. Further, the controller may also be configured such that the drive is switched off when exceeding a maximum limit distance, at which a meeting of the object is excluded or unlikely.
- toy gun or the like is achieved so that the projectile, in particular, for example, the fluid projectile at a short distance has a lower kinetic energy, so that a risk of injury to a target person can be reduced.
- the drive is switched off below a minimum, predetermined limit distance.
- the fact that the drive is turned off below a minimum limit distance can be provided by simple means a safe water gun or other toy for strigissen objects, which on the one hand offers the advantage of safe handling and on the other hand for the user the added value of greater performance, in particular Because the distance measurement allows the fluid projectile to be fired with great power when determining a large distance.

- the piston 720 is fully retracted into the cylinder 710 in this state. It can be seen that the rack does not extend to the opposite with respect to the piston 720 end of the piston rod 721. After the emptying of the cylinder 7 10, the drive gear 803 loses engagement with the rack 722, so that the drive gear 803 runs empty. This overload protection for the motor in the final position is achieved in a simple manner.
- FIG. 7 a shows a schematic side view of a third variant of a device 900 for shutting off a fluid projectile with a full fluid container 1 000.
- casing plane is understood to mean a plane which lies substantially in the mirror plane of the illustrated casing, i. in the sheet plane of Figures 7a and 7b.
- FIGS. 7a and 7b in turn, no electrical lines are shown for a better overview.
- Variant 900 here comprises a housing 901 in which a fluid container 1000 designed as an insert can be inserted.
- the housing 901 comprises a peristaltic pump 914, which is fluidically connected to a suction hose 9 16 and a nozzle hose 917.
- the nozzle tube 917 opens into the nozzle 91 1, which in the present case is pivotable about an axis perpendicular to the housing plane (see below).
- the housing 901 comprises a distance sensor 91 2, which is arranged below the nozzle 91 1.
- the data of the distance sensor 91 2 are sent to a control unit 915 also located in the housing 901, where they are processed.
- a battery 920 is arranged, with which the peristaltic pump 914, the distance sensor 91 2 and the control unit 915 are fed.
- the housing 901 comprises a trigger 910, whereby the function of the device set in motion, in particular a fluid, can be fired.
- the peristaltic pump in the present case is at right angles to the housing plane with an axis of rotation of the motor, it can also be connected to the axis of rotation for reasons of space lie within the housing level.
- the rotor of the peristaltic pump may be slipped over a gearbox of the engine or over the engine itself, so that the tube section to be squeezed during operation is laid around the engine or the gearbox. This achieves a particularly compact design.
- the nozzle 9 1 1 is present in a plane parallel to a cross-sectional surface of the housing 901 pivotally.
- the nozzle 91 1 is preferably automatically pivoted via a micro-servo, but can also be designed to be pivotable by hand. Finally, can be dispensed with the pivoting. In particular, the nozzle can also be pivoted fixed, so that the parabolic flight is compensated solely by the pump power and the measured distance.
- the housing 901 further comprises a receptacle for the fluid container 1000.
- the fluid container 1000 comprises a cylinder 1010, which frontally a Luer-Lock connection 1 01 1 comprises.
- the counterpart of the luer lock connector is encompassed by the distal end of the aspiration tube 916.
- the cylinder 101 0 can thus be mounted by insertion into the housing 901 and a subsequent rotation, in particular by an angle of 90 °.
- a piston 1020 is movably mounted within the cylinder 1010.
- a distance to the target object is determined in a first step via the distance sensor 91 2.
- This distance data is sent to the control unit 915 and processed there.
- the necessary power for the drive ie the peristaltic pump, is determined.
- the trigger 910 is depressed, the peristaltic pump 91 is put into operation.
- a negative pressure acts on the cylinder 1010, whereby the fluid in the cylinder is sucked out of the same.
- the piston 1020 in the direction of the closed end of the cylinder 1010.
- the fluid is discharged via the nozzle line 9 17 through the nozzle 91 1.
- the present cylinder comprises an optional, aligned with the Luer lock port 101 1 and inwardly projecting mandrel 1 01 2, which will be discussed in more detail in connection with Figure 7b.
- FIG. 7b shows a schematic representation according to FIG. 7a with the fluid container 1000 emptied and elevation of the outlet nozzle 91.
- the piston 1020 comprises an inner space separated by a membrane 1022 with a cleaning agent 1021.
- the membrane 1022 is directed towards the mandrel 101 2. If the fluid supply is now emptied, the piston 1020 moves toward the mandrel 101 2, so that the mandrel 101 2 pierces the membrane 1022.
- the cleaning agent 1021 is sucked in, with which the lines and the nozzle of the device can be cleaned.
- other substances may be provided, in particular a marker or the like.
- a device for shutting off a projectile wherein the kinetic energy of the projectile can be controlled on the basis of a distance between the device and a target object, in particular at a small distance.
- This is particularly and water guns of great advantage, since it can be avoided, for example, eye injuries when used at close range.
- FIG. 8 shows a fourth variant 1 100 of a device for shutting off a solid projectile 1 1 1 0.
- the device comprises a gas cartridge 1 101, which in the present case contains CO 2 under pressure.
- the gas cartridge 1 101 is interchangeable.
- the gas cartridge 1 101 is connected to a valve 1 1 02, which is controllable by means of the control device 1 103.
- variant 1 100 comprises a passage 1 105 communicating with the valve 1 102, in which gas can be discharged from the gas cartridge 1 101 as a function of the valve position.
- In run 1 105 is a solid projectile in the form of a sphere 1 1 10.
- the variant 1 100 further comprises a distance sensor 1 104, which is presently designed as an ultrasonic sensor.
- the ultrasonic sensor 1 104 is disposed below the run 1 1 05 and measures a distance in the longitudinal direction.
- variant 1 100 includes a trigger 1 1 06.
- the distance to the target object is determined by the control unit 1 103 by pressing the trigger 1 106 with the distance sensor 1 1 04 and compared with a predetermined limit distance. If the measured distance is smaller than the predetermined limit distance, the valve 1 102 is not actuated, so that the ball 1 1 10 is not fired.
- valve 1 102 is switched by the control unit 1 103 such that a pressure of the gas cartridge 1 1 01 through the valve 1 1 02 through the barrel 1 105 discharges and so the ball 1 1 10 out of the run 1 105 also accelerated.
- ball 1 1 10 other objects may be provided, in particular toy projectiles of any kind such as arrows, in particular suction cups, pins made of foam, polystyrene, hard rubber, projectiles such as balls, spinning top, frisbee, clay pigeons, etc.
- toy projectiles of any kind such as arrows, in particular suction cups, pins made of foam, polystyrene, hard rubber, projectiles such as balls, spinning top, frisbee, clay pigeons, etc.
- Toy aircraft and other objects known in the art include.
- the distance can optionally be measured continuously, instead of only when pulling the trigger. This applies to all the above variants.
