Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The present invention relates to a fastening tie, in particular a lightning fastener, for providing fastening loops.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Fastening ties are known from the prior art. They are used in many different applications as a fast-to-use and inexpensive connecting element, in particular for the permanent connection of cables and entire cable harnesses to one another or to other objects.

A common variant of such fastening ties are known under the term “cable ties”. These have a head part with a passage opening and a strand extending from the head part. The strand has an area in which a serration is introduced into the strand. A locking tongue is arranged in the passage opening, which has a serration which is designed to be complementary to the serration. If the strand is pushed through the passage opening in an intended feed-through or threading direction, the serration of the strand engages with that of the tongue, so that a non-detachable connection between strand and head is created against the threading direction.

It is also known to provide such cable ties with injection-molded fastening elements such as adhesive bases, stick anchors or lamellar feet in order to fasten them, for example, to a frame structure such as a vehicle frame.

As an alternative to this, it is known that the head of such cable ties has two equally or analogously designed passage openings with locking tabs arranged next to one another in order to be able to create two loops by passing the strand through the first passage opening and then through the second passage opening, for example by means of a first loop to attach the cable tie to a frame structure and also to be able to provide a loop for holding cables. A such a cable tie is for example in the WO 9958890 A1 shown. Here, one of the locking tongues is also equipped with a lever element in order to lift the locking tongue off the strand and thus to be able to release the latching.

Cable ties have a relatively complex structure due to the provision of the serration and the locking tongue in the head, which increases the manufacturing costs. This is particularly true when a lever element is to be provided in addition to the locking tongue. In addition, releasing the latching is relatively difficult, since the lever element usually has to be made small. A repeated actuation of the lever element can also wear out the locking tongue, so that there is no longer a secure connection.

As an alternative to the above-described cable ties, which are based on the principle of latching complementarily designed serrations, so-called lightning ties are known, which for example from the AT 209245 B can be found. In contrast to cable ties, these have a strand with a multiplicity of retaining projections extending radially outward from the strand.

The head part of such fastener ties can have two identically designed eyelets for passing through the strand provided with the retaining projections. The eyelets have a passage opening and a strand receiving opening connected to it, the passage opening having dimensions larger than the dimensions of a holding projection perpendicular to a longitudinal extension of the strand, and the strand receiving opening having dimensions which essentially correspond to the dimensions of the strand perpendicular to its longitudinal extent, so that the strand can be releasably held in the strand receiving opening.

These quick-release ties have the advantage that, in contrast to cable ties, they require less complex tools to manufacture. Due to the simpler structure, especially of the heads, the manufacturing costs are correspondingly reduced. In addition, this geometry, which is different from that of cable ties with a locking tongue, enables the loop to be closed and opened quickly and repeatedly in a simple manner. However, lightning ties have the disadvantage that the connection between the head and the loop can loosen if the cord experiences movement. Therefore, they are only suitable to a limited extent for applications in which a first loop is to be used for a permanent connection, but on the other hand the second loop is to be opened and closed several times, for example when cables are to be attached to the frame in several production steps of a vehicle .

Based on the known prior art, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved fastening tie which takes the aforementioned disadvantages into account.

The object is achieved by a fastening tie, in particular a lightning tie, with the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments result from the subclaims, the description and the figures.

Correspondingly, a fastening tie, in particular a lightning fastener, is proposed for providing fastening loops, comprising a head part and a strand formed in one piece with the head part and extending from the head part with a plurality of retaining projections extending radially outward from the strand, the head part having a first and a second eyelet for passing through the strand provided with the holding projections, the second eyelet being formed from a passage opening and a strand receiving opening connected thereto, the passage opening having dimensions greater than the dimensions of a retaining projection perpendicular to a longitudinal extension of the strand, and the strand receiving opening Has dimensions which correspond essentially to the dimensions of the strand perpendicular to its longitudinal extension, so that the strand can be held detachably in the strand receiving opening.

According to the invention, the first eyelet has a basic opening, the basic opening having dimensions which are larger than the dimensions of the holding projections perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand, and a trap element for providing a non-releasable retention of a holding projection extends radially inward from an outer contour of the basic opening .

Characterized in that the first eyelet has a basic opening, the basic opening having dimensions which are larger than the dimensions of the holding projections perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand, and a trap element for providing a non-releasable retention of a holding projection extending radially inward from an outer contour of the basic opening extends, on the one hand, a first loop can be provided through the cord and the first eyelet, which is not detachable due to the retention of the cord via the trap element in cooperation with the retaining projection resting on the trap element, and furthermore a second loop is provided which extends through the one from the first eyelet results in the second loop extending strand. This second loop is releasable due to the releasable connection between the strand and the second eyelet.

In other words, the design of the fastening tie according to the invention combines the advantages of a lightning tie with the provision of a non-detachable first loop. For this purpose, the first eyelet and the second eyelet have different operating principles. By designing the first loop with a first operating principle to hold the strand in the loop against the direction of passage and the design of the second loop with a second operating principle that differs from the first operating principle, it is achieved that in the first loop a safe and permanent blocking of retraction of the strand is enabled through the first eyelet opposite to the feed-through direction over a retaining projection, and in contrast, in the second eyelet, quick and easy locking and loosening of the strand in the second eyelet, thus quick and easy closing and opening of the second loop is achieved.

The trap element is arranged in the basic opening in such a way that it reduces the cross section of the basic opening in such a way that the cross section of the retaining projections, viewed perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand, is larger than the remaining cross section of the basic opening.

The trap element furthermore has an elastic deformability, so that when a retaining projection is passed through in the direction of passage, the retaining projection can displace and elastically deform the retaining projection. As a result, the holding projection can be pushed or pulled through the first eyelet. After the retaining projection has passed the trap element, the trap element is resiliently deformed back into its initial state, so that the retaining projection guided through the first eye cannot pass the first eye against the direction of passage. The elastic deformability of the trap element is preferably provided over a wall thickness and a length of the trap element.

Because the trap element extends radially inward, an axially extending tube with essentially axially extending locking elements, as provided in conventional cable ties with a locking function, can be dispensed with. In other words, there is no need for a tube element on the head part which extends perpendicularly in the thickness direction of the head part from the head part through which the strand is to be passed. Compared to such conventional ties, the proposed fastening tie therefore has a lower material requirement. In addition, a tool mold for producing the fastening tie, in particular an injection molding tool mold, can also be constructed more simply.

The trap element preferably extends in a thickness direction of the head in which the basic opening extends, viewed inside the basic opening.

According to a preferred further embodiment, the retaining projections each have an undercut surface which interacts with the trap element in such a way that a self-locking form fit is provided between the trap element and a retaining projection against a predetermined direction of passage of the cord through the first eyelet. This makes it possible to ensure in a simple manner that the holding projection, which forms the permanent connection with the trap element, cannot be withdrawn through the first eyelet against the direction of passage.

If, according to a further preferred embodiment, the strand is a band or a wire, the band or wire preferably having a circular cross section or a polygonal profile, preferably a square profile, the fastening tie can have a particularly simple structure. In particular, if the strand has a circular cross-section, it is not necessary for the strand to have to be guided through the eyelets in a predetermined orientation, rather the strand can be pushed through the eyelets independent of the orientation.

The holding projections preferably have an essentially circular cross-section, viewed perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand. As a result, the strand can also be held in the respective eyelet independently of the alignment of the strand or retaining projection with respect to the respective eyelet.

In order to be able to provide a particularly simple and inexpensive fastening tie, the fastening tie can be produced from a plastic, preferably a thermoplastic, the fastening tie preferably consisting of this.

A particularly secure holding of the strand in the eyelets can be achieved if the strand has a strand diameter and the holding projections perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand have a projection diameter which is greater than the strand diameter. A fastening tie constructed in this way also has a particularly simple structure and is particularly easy to manufacture.

In order to achieve a particularly simple passage of the strand through the second eyelet, the passage opening according to a further preferred embodiment has a passage diameter greater than the projection diameter.

If the strand receiving opening has a receiving diameter which corresponds approximately to the strand diameter, the strand can be safely received in the strand receiving opening. The strand receiving opening preferably has a receiving diameter which is slightly smaller than the trunk diameter, so that the strand can be held in the strand receiving opening by means of a press fit of a predetermined size.

As an alternative or in addition, the second eyelet between the passage opening and the strand receiving opening can have a connection area which has a width which is smaller than the strand diameter. As a result, the strand in the strand receiving opening can be prevented from returning from the strand receiving opening into the passage opening, unless a predetermined force is applied to the strand which causes the strand to displace the connecting area.

If, according to a further preferred embodiment, the basic opening of the first eyelet has an opening diameter greater than the projection diameter and the trap element defines an inner diameter of the first eyelet which is smaller than the projection diameter, a particularly simple passage of the strand through the first eyelet and also a safe Holding the strand at its retaining projection can be achieved by the trap element.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the trap element has a conical ring, preferably a segmented conical ring, which provides a radially tapering opening in the specified direction of passage of the first eyelet, the dimension of the opening having an inner diameter at the end of the cone ring, viewed in the direction of passage, which is preferably smaller than the dimension of the retaining projections perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand and larger than the dimension of the strand perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand.

According to a further preferred form of expression, the trap element is elastically deformable in such a way that a retaining projection can be passed through the trap element in the feed-through direction by elastic deformation of the trap element.

A particularly simple structure of the first eyelet and also a particularly high blocking effect against the strand being passed through the first eyelet against the direction of passage can be made possible if the first eyelet has a basic opening with an opening diameter that is larger than the dimensions of the holding projections perpendicular for the longitudinal extension of the strand, and the trap element extends radially inward from the basic opening.

The trap element preferably extends radially inward from the basic opening essentially perpendicular to a direction of extent of the first eyelet and / or perpendicular to a direction of thickness of the head. The extent or direction of extent of the basic opening is preferably oriented in the depth direction or thickness direction of the head part. As a result, the strand can be pushed through the first eyelet from both sides and a non-detachable connection can be obtained.

According to a preferred embodiment, the head part is constructed essentially in the form of a plate. In other words, the head part has a width and a length which are significantly greater than a thickness or, in other words, the depth of the head part. The width and the length of the head part are preferably at least twice, three times, four times or five times as large as the thickness of the head part.

The first and the second eyelet preferably extend in the direction of the thickness or depth of the head part.

Detaillierte Beschreibung bevorzugter AusführungsbeispieleDetailed description of preferred exemplary embodiments

Preferred exemplary embodiments are described below with reference to the figures. Identical, similar or identically acting elements are provided with identical reference numerals in the different figures, and a repeated description of these elements is partially dispensed with in order to avoid redundancies.

In Figure 1 is schematically shown a perspective view of a fastening tie 1 according to a first embodiment. The lightning bolt has a head 2 and an elongated strand 3 which extends therefrom from a first end 32 and which extends to a free second end 34. The strand 3 has a multiplicity of holding projections 4 which extend radially outward from the strand 3 in the circumferential direction.

The fastening tie 1 has a first eyelet 5 on its head for providing a non-releasable connection between the head 2 and the strand 3. By passing the strand 3 with its free end 34 through the first eyelet 5, a first loop 8 is correspondingly formed, which is not detachable due to the permanent connection to the strand 3 provided via the first eyelet 5.

Furthermore, by subsequently passing the strand 3 with its free end 34 through the second eyelet 6, a second loop 9 can be provided which is detachable due to the detachable connection at the second eyelet 6.

The fastening tie 1, or lightning bolt, is in the present case designed in one piece and made of a plastic. Alternatively, the fastening tie 1 can also be made from a different material, for example a metal or a metal alloy, preferably steel.

Figure 2 shows schematically a detailed sectional view through the first eyelet 5 of the fastening tie 1 from Figure 1 . The first eyelet 5 has a basic opening 50 which has an opening diameter 58. A trap element 52 in the form of a conical ring extends radially inward in the basic opening 50 with respect to the basic opening 50. The trap element 52 provides a non-releasable retention of the strand 3 counter to the feed-through direction 7 by retaining the last holding projection 4 passed in the feed-through direction 7. For this purpose, the retaining projection 4 has an undercut surface 40 which interacts with the trap element 52 in such a way that a self-speaking form fit is provided between the trap element 52 and the retaining projection 4 through the first eyelet 5, counter to the specified direction 7 of the strand 3 through. In other words, the end of the trap element 52 and the undercut surface 40 provide an undercut counter to the feed-through direction 7.

At its free end, the trap element 52 has an inner diameter 59 which is smaller than a projection diameter 42 which the holding projections 4 have perpendicular to the longitudinal extension of the strand 3. The trap element 52 has a wall thickness 56 and a length 54, designed such that the trap element 52 has elastic deformability. When the strand 3 is passed through the first eyelet 5 in the direction of passage 7, the retaining projection 4 successively displaces the trap element 52 radially outward. After the holding projection 4 has passed the trap element 52, it moves back into its starting position. This creates the undercut described above.

The retention of the retaining projection 4 by the trap element 52 against the feed-through direction 7 is therefore provided by the fact that the undercut surface 40 rests against the end of the trap element 52. Due to the geometry of the trap element 52 and the retaining projection 4 described above, it is not possible for the retaining projection 4 to expand the retaining element 52 if the retaining projection 4 presses on the retaining element 52 due to a force on the strand 3 against the feed-through direction 7.

As from the synopsis of the Figures 1 and 2 As can be seen, the head 2 is essentially plate-shaped. In other words, the head 2 forms a substantially flat plate which is thin-walled. The head 2 therefore has a length and a width, as shown in FIG Figure 1 can be seen on, which is many times greater than a depth or thickness of the head, the depth in Figure 2 extends from left to right, in other words the lead-through direction 7 is parallel to the thickness direction of the head 2.

Figure 3 shows schematically a detailed sectional view through a second eyelet 5 of the fastening tie 1 from Figure 1 . The second eyelet 6 has a passage opening 60 through which the strand 3 together with the retaining projection 4 can be passed in both directions. The passage opening 60 is connected to a strand receiving opening 62. In Figure 3 the strand 3 is shown received in the strand receiving opening 62.

In Figure 4 FIG. 6 is a schematic, further detailed sectional view of the second eyelet 6 from FIG Figure 3 shown. The view from Figure 4 is one related to Figure 3 Sectional view rotated by 90 °. It can be clearly seen that the passage opening 60 has a passage diameter 64 which is larger than the projection diameter 42 of the holding projection 4. The strand receiving opening 62 connected to the passage opening 60 has a receiving diameter 66 which corresponds approximately to the strand diameter 30. The strand 3 together with the retaining projection 4 can therefore be guided or inserted through the passage opening 60. In order to achieve a releasable latching between the strand 3 or a retaining projection 4 and the second eyelet 6 against the feed-through direction 7 of the strand 3, the strand 3 only needs to be in relation to the orientation of the head 2 in Figure 4 be moved downward into the strand receiving opening 62. This creates a form fit between the rear of the retaining projection 4 and the material of the head 2 around the strand receiving opening 62 against the direction 7 of the strand 3. To release this locking, the strand 3 only has to leave the strand receiving opening 62 with respect to the orientation of the head 2 in Figure 4 be moved upward into the passage opening 60 so that the strand 3 together with its retaining projections 4 can also be moved again against the feed-through direction 7 through the second eyelet 6.

In Figure 5 is shown schematically a detailed view of a head 2 of a fastening tie 1 according to a further embodiment. The fastening tie 1 shown here corresponds essentially to that from Figure 4 . The first eyelet 5, however, has a segmented trap element 52. To form the trap element 52, four segments 53 are provided in the present case, which extend radially inward from the basic opening 50 in a web-like manner.

Alternatively, a different number of segments can also be provided and / or the trap element can only be partially segmented.

The second eyelet 6 is essentially the same as that of FIG Figure 4 second eyelet 6 shown. In addition to this, the in Figure 5 The second eyelet 6 shown between the passage opening 60 and the strand receiving opening 62 has a connecting area 68 which has a width 69 which is less than the strand diameter 30. To close the Connection between the strand 3 and the second eyelet 6, as to Figure 4 described, the strand 3 is to be pushed through the connecting area 68, the connecting area 68 being elastically deformed or displaced in the direction of the strand receiving opening 62 when a predetermined force is applied to the strand 3 due to the material properties of the head 2. As a result, the strand 3 can be moved from the passage opening 60 into the strand receiving opening 62. After the strand 3 has passed the connecting area 68, it is elastically deformed back into its starting position. This creates a positive fit between the strand 3 and the connecting region 68, which prevents the strand 3 from being able to leave the strand receiving opening 62 in the direction of the passage opening 60. The strand receiving opening 62 can therefore have a receiving diameter 66 which is somewhat larger than the strand diameter 30. In other words, there can be a predetermined play between the strand 3 and the strand receiving opening 62. The manufacturing tolerances for a head 2 designed in this way can therefore be designed less precisely.

The holding projections 4 in this embodiment are designed like a truncated cone, which enlarge in the direction of the connection between head 2 and strand 3, and consequently in the direction of the first end 32. They have rearwardly directed undercut surfaces 40 which each enter into a form fit with the segments 53 counter to the feed-through direction through the first eyelet 5 and also with the material of the head 2 around the strand receiving opening 62 counter to the feed-through direction 7 through the second eyelet 6 and thereby prevent the strand 3 from being able to be moved back through the first eyelet 5 or second eyelet 6 counter to the feed-through direction 7.

Figure 6 shows schematically a detailed view of a head 2 of a fastening tie 1 according to a further embodiment, which is essentially that of FIG Figure 5 corresponds, the strand 3 based on the embodiment from Figure 5 is arranged on the opposite side of the head 2.

Figure 7 schematically shows a detailed sectional view through a first eyelet 5 of a fastening tie 1 according to a further embodiment. The fastening tie 1 corresponds essentially to that from Figures 1 and 2 , wherein the trap elements 52 in this embodiment extend perpendicular to the extension of the first eyelet 5 through the head 2, thus perpendicular to the feed-through direction 7 radially inward. In other words, the trap elements 52 only extend radially inward and have essentially no axial ones Component of their extension. As a result, the strand 3 can be guided through the first eyelet 5 from both sides, as indicated by the double arrow in the feed-through direction 7.

As far as applicable, all the individual features that are shown in the exemplary embodiments can be combined with one another and / or exchanged without departing from the scope of the invention.
