Abstract

A package (1) is used for packaging bottles or cans. The packaging (1) has an outer packaging (3) for the at least partial repackaging of bottles or cans, consisting of a heat-shrinkable plastic film, and a carrying handle (4) attached to the outer packaging (3) with a carrying handle additional component (5). All components of the packaging (1) consist of at least one recyclable plastic. The carrying handle additional component (5) is made of a printed plastic and has a print (8). The result is a recyclable packaging.

Description

The invention relates to a packaging for packaging bottles or cans.

From the prior art, such packages are known as plastic packaging with a carrying handle, in particular as so-called six-packs for water bottles, by public prior use. In such a package, the carrying handle on a paper feeder. The paper insert is firmly connected to the carrying handle, so that the paper insert does not come off the carrying handle during use, in particular while carrying the packaging on the carrying handle. Recycling the packaging requires that this paper insert be removed. This is possible, if at all, only with complicated separation processes.

An object of the present invention is to provide a recyclable package of the type mentioned.

This object is achieved with a package having the features of claim 1.

The packaging according to the invention consists exclusively of recyclable plastics. As a result, a removal of a paper inserter is unnecessary. The costs are reduced. Plastic is also a plastic composition, a so-called blend to understand.

The recycled plastic regenerate, a reusable raw material that is produced when the packaging is recycled, is of a higher quality for a new product. It is ensured that only plastic components are recycled when recycling the packaging. The plastic can be recycled more frequently. The environment and raw materials are spared.

Advantageously, the packaging components can consist of a multilayer film composite. One or more layers of the film composite may consist of one or more recyclable plastics or recyclable plastic compositions.

The outer package is made of a heat-shrinkable, recyclable plastic, e.g. Polyethylene (PE). The carrying handle may be made of a recyclable plastic such as e.g. consist of stretched polypropylene (PP). Advantageously, the carrying handle can also be made of polyethylene (PE).

The carrying handle accessory component is made of a printable, recyclable plastic, such as plastic. Polyethylene (PE).

As a starting material for the carrying handle additional component, a printable film is advantageously provided, these are also known as labeling films or label films.

By using polyethylene (PE) as the main constituent of the plastic composition for the packaging components, the individual recyclable plastics become compatible with each other. The recyclability of the packaging is further improved.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, the plastic composition of the packaging components may comprise renewable raw materials. Such plastics are also referred to as bio-plastic. In particular, this includes cellulose acetate, bio-based polyethylene (Bio-PE) and bio-based polypropylene (Bio-PP).

The carrying handle additional component has a print, this can be designed as a barcode, brand, label, trade name, PLU number or the like. A combination of these is possible.

In particular, the outer packaging has a film thickness from 20 μm, in particular from 25 μm. Basically, the film thickness depends on the weight of the bottles or cans to be packed. Depending on the weight, the film may have a film thickness between 20 μm and 65 μm. The cans or bottles to be packaged, especially PET bottles, may have a capacity of 0.25 l, 0.33 l, 0.5 l, 1.0 l, 1.5 l or 2.5 l. In particular, in a packaging with 6 x 1.5 1 bottles, a film thickness from 25 microns is advantageous. In particular, in packaging with 6 x 0.5 1 cans or bottles, a film thickness from 20 microns is advantageous.

In a packaging according to claim 2, the carrying handle and the carrying handle additional component form a single-layer plastic component. As a result, a particularly uniform embodiment is provided.

A package according to claim 3 is particularly advantageous for bottles or cans to be packed with a high total weight, in particular over 6 kg. In particular, the carrying handle made of a durable plastic. This reduces the risk of the carrying handle breaking during use.

With the package according to claim 4, a particularly advantageous packaging is provided in which the carrying handle additional component is less loaded. This minimizes the risk that the imprint on the accessory handle component will be distorted. The readability of the imprint remains.

In a further alternative embodiment, the carrying handle additional component can be attached to the carrying handle on the side facing the outer packaging and the side facing away from the outer packaging. With a package according to claim 5, a structurally simple and inexpensive connection is provided. Advantageously, the section-wise adhesive strip is provided by a section-wise application of an adhesive layer consisting of an adhesive to the carrying handle. As a result, the carrying handle on the outer packaging and / or the carrying handle additional component can be glued to the carrying handle.

In particular, the adhesive is a bio-adhesive that is washable and biodegradable. As a result, the environmental impact is further improved. Ensures a good washability of the adhesive, that the adhesive can be removed almost without residue. As a result, the plastic regenerate is further improved. Advantageously, the adhesive consists of renewable or recyclable raw materials.

With a package according to claim 6, a structurally simple and cost-effective connection of the components of the package is provided.

Depending on the embodiment of the attachment of the carrying handle additional component to the carrying handle, the adhesive layer is applied on the carrying handle on the side remote from the outer packaging and / or on the side facing the outer packaging.

In a package according to claim 7, a particularly stable carrying handle is provided. The risk of loosening the carrying handle from the outer packaging is minimized.

Advantageously, the carrying handle is designed as a closed plastic strip.

It is particularly advantageous if the carrying handle is welded to the outer packaging. This can be dispensed with the removal of adhesive, in particular a bio-adhesive.

In a packaging according to claim 8, a carrying handle additional component is provided with a particularly advantageous plastic.

In a package according to claim 9, a carrying handle additional component is provided with a paper-like feel. The consumer is used to the feel and / or appearance of paper.

Advantageously, the carrying handle additional component consists of a multilayer plastic film composite. Such a plastic film composite can have a paper character, ie a paper-like feel.

As in Fig. 2 illustrated, the carrying handle 4 is designed in the form of a rectangular plastic strip. Advantageously, a stretched polypropylene is used as the plastic. The adhesive portions 7 form two opposite ends of the carrying handle 4. The adhesive portions 7 are formed by an adhesive layer, not shown. Between the adhesive portions 7, the carrying handle additional component 5 is provided.

As in Fig. 3 shown, the carrying handle additional component 5 is attached as an additional layer of plastic on the side facing away from the outer packaging 3 side of the carrying handle 4. The carrying handle 4 serves as a carrier layer for the carrying handle additional component 5. The latter is glued to the carrying handle 4. Depending on the embodiment, there is a further adhesive layer either on the carrying handle additional component 5 or on the carrying handle 4.

The carrying handle additional component 5 consists of a printable, recyclable plastic and has an imprint 8 in the form of a barcode. Depending on the beverage manufacturer's request, other imprints, e.g. a brand or a label possible.

The carrying handle additional component 5 consists in the illustrated embodiment of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

Advantageously, the carrying handle additional component 5 consists of a plastic composition with paper character, that is a paper-like feel. This is provided by a multilayer film structure
