Abstract
This invention is related to a flexible or rigid container lid (1) for canalization of s Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid flow and spreading of the fluid in an even way, comprises; at least an interior lid (2), at least an outer lid (3), at least a constriction region (31) and at least a mouth (32) which has a shape like spud.
Description
- This invention relates to a container lid that provides canalization of a Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid flow and application of the aforementioned fluid evenly onto flat and/or non-flat surface.
- The possible application of a viscous Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid is performed by using a spud or similar spreading tool to cover the applied surface. The fluid is placed in a container and when there is a need, it is applied by immersing a spreading tool in the container. In this situation, the fluid spreads to the surface in a random and rough way.
- In the known situation of prior art, although there are some fluid containers that have caps with some openings, they fail at applying the fluid evenly onto the surface.
- In one application of the known situation, an applicator helping a non-Newtonian fluid to be applied on a surface, is mentioned in the U.S document
US2005/191115A1 . Aforesaid applicator has an exit and a spud near the exit. In this invention, the exit and the spud are separate parts. The only could exit from one passage along a center line. - In another application of the known situation, In the U.S document
US2004/258459A1 , an applicator which has a head comprising a mouth and an inner rib emerging from one of the edges of the mouth, is cited. Even though the rib creates a narrower section, this section is not enough for a volumetric reduction and canalization of the non-Newtonian fluid flow. Additionally, the rib causes some accumulations in the mouth. Because of these accumulations, the rib could become clogged in time. - With the lid subject to this invention, a sufficient reduction or canalization, and an even distribution on the surface are provided by a mouth and a constriction region structure.
- With this invention, it is aimed to apply a Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid onto a flat or non-flat surface evenly, The even application includes canalization of the fluid flow and spreading of the fluid on a surface.
- Some embodiments of this invention is explained by following figures detailed. On these figures:

- Lid for rigid or flexible container (1) which provides canalization of a Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid's flow and application of the fluid on a flat or non-flat surface evenly, comprises;
- At least one interior lid (2) which ensures closure of the fluid and has a hole for flow of the fluid
- At least one outer lid (3) placed on the interior lid (2),
- At least one constriction region (31) which provides the canalization of the fluid flow and is formed by reduction of an internal volume of outer lid (3),
- At least one mouth (32) which lies along the outer lid (3) for the exit of the fluid and which consists curved ends on one end of outer lid (3), for spreading of the evenly,
- At least one outer cap (4) for preventing the fluid flows out from outer lid (3).
- The outer lid (3) is placed on interior lid (2) and basically consist of constriction region (31) and mouth (32). Constriction region (31) is in the form of duct. It is comprising of reduction of volume and internal surfaces. The Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid leaks in a controlled manner due to constriction region (31). Mouth (32) lies along the outer lid (3). This placement of mouth (32) provides that the Newtonian or non-Newtonian fluid spreads on a large area and the mouth (32) has curved ends for an even application. And also one outer cap (4) for preventing the fluid flows out from outer lid (3).
- In one preferred embodiment of this invention, the flat ends of mouth (32) has a shape like spud.
- In one preferred embodiment of the lid for flexible or rigid container (1), is produced and used for wax containers and wax delivering.
