Die vorgespannten Federn 12 sind an einem Ende fest am Rahmen befestigt und auf der anderen Seiten können sie entweder an der Welle 10 befestigt sein oder an der Kurvenscheibe 13. Die Vorspannung der Federn 12 ändert sich durch die Drehung Welle 10 bei Heben und Senken der Spindelbank 9. Die Kurvenschreiben 13 sind so ausgelegt, dass das von den Federn erzeugte Drehmoment im Hubverlauf der Spindelbank im Wesentlichen (ganz oder fast) ausgeglichen wird. Die Federn 12 können am Anfang und Ende eines Abschnitts angebracht werden (Abschnitt 91, 93) oder sich zentral in einem Abschnitt in jede ein Richtung erstrecken (mittlerer Abschnitt 92).
