Description

Epaulette Sewing Machine
The Related Art
The invention relates to a system for sewing shirt sleeve epaulettes without sewing on top of each other and slipping.
The Prior Art
Sleeve epaulette is a piece that is sewn inside the sleeves so as to allow the sleeves of long-sleeved shirts to be turned into short sleeves by folding. In this way, the folded sleeve can be buttoned up with the help of the epaulette, and thus the shirt can be turned into a short-sleeved shirt. Moreover, epaulette is used as an ornament and decoration on short-sleeved shirts. In the prior art, below given problems are encountered during sewing of these epaulettes:
- The sewing machine stops eight times while sewing a single epaulette.
Epaulette sewing (envelope sewing) is made by lifting the presser foot up and inverting the sleeve. As a result, these processes cause the sewing operation to take long time and leads to loss of labour in unit time. The number of epaulettes that can be sewn by an average experienced staff is between 650 and 800 in daily.
- In terms of quality, the epaulette attachment sewing made with the prior art method is performed completely based on the ability of the worker without any millimetric measurement, and thus it is open to errors. The most common errors are slipping of the stitch to the shirt sleeve over the epaulette, and leaving double stitch marks during envelope sewing. Another problem that cannot be prevented, since sewing is made on the sleeve over the epaulette, is the yarn cutting operation (zigzag mark) to be made on the seen part of the shirt and cause a bad appearance.
- In wash fabrics, the worker has to place the presser foot on the shirt sleeve. At this moment, the wash fabric is damaged with the pressure of the presser foot. And this causes significant losses in wash fabrics and the product becomes defective fabric.
- The epaulette is attached on the previously marked point on the shirt sleeve, which is found in a state that is not sewn openly. The epaulette is placed on this point and the sewing operation starts. However, since this point is left under the epaulette each time, the operator making the sewing does not notice this situation and therefore standard quality is not provided. When the button is sewn on the marked point after the epaulette is sewn, the correct angle cannot be found and the epaulette sewing becomes slipped and when the epaulette is buttoned up, it stays sideways.
As a result, the above said drawbacks and the inadequacy of the prior art solutions about the subject have necessitated an improvement in the related technical field. Purpose of the Invention
The invention is formed with the inspiration from the prior art situations and aims to solve the above said problems.
The purposes of the invention can be listed as follows:
- Epaulette sewing is made quickly and during epaulette sewing, the sewing machine completes the operation at once, without stopping at any of the sewing corners. It provides saving from time, since the presser foot completes epaulette sewing at once without being lifted at all.
- The worker does not have to be qualified and thanks to the electronic dimensions provided to the sewing machine, the machine completes sewing without missing any sewing dimension.
- Since the foot and gear combination used in the prior art applications is not found in the machine according to the present invention, there would be no damage on the shirt sleeve. - By means of the support walls found at the epaulette holder, the epaulette is kept immobile while it is being sewn on the correct point.
- Body table is used for correct alignment of the shirt sleeve. In this way, the operation space is enlarged and correct alignment is ensured.
Against the most common mistakes in the prior art applications, the solutions provided by the developed sewing machine are as follows:
- By means of the epaulette holder found on the sewing machine, the epaulette stays fixed on during the sewing operation, and thus the stitch does not fall on the shirt sleeve.
- The machine performs sewing on a predetermined area. In other words, since the dimensions determined as the width and length of the epaulette are loaded on the machine, it prevents the stitch/sewing from getting out of the epaulette, and thus double sewing error is eliminated. - The sewing is obtained in the desired form, since the epaulette is fixed in the epaulette holder via vacuum.
In order to achieve the above said purposes, the invention is an epaulette sewing system which can perform epaulette sewing at once, without stopping or double sewing, and it comprises: - at least one epaulette housing where the epaulette is fixed,
- at least one vacuum housing which ensures fixing of the epaulette in said epaulette holder,
- at least one body table which ensures alignment of the epaulette,
- at least one support wall which ensures sewing on the desired point after the epaulette is aligned, - at least one point laser which ensures that sewing is made on the correct place,
- at least one vacuum pool which determines the vacuum operation area,
- at least one embedded table which provides a comfortable work space, where said vacuum pool and said vacuum system table are embedded therein,
- at least one vacuum valve which ensures adjusting the vacuum power to the desired level according to the fabric thickness and type,
- at least one presser foot which prevents the fabric from slipping during sewing, by means of pressing onto the fabric and the epaulette,
- at least one process foot which ensures completion of sewing by allowing the needle to move on the fabric,
- at least one adjustment screw which allows said system to be raised and lowered by the user, together with said embedded table,
- at least one switch pedal which gives start and stop commands to the vacuum and said system, and
- compressor providing vacuum to said vacuum pool.
The structural and characteristic features of the invention and all of its advantages shall be understood better with the figures and the detailed description given below in reference to the figures, and therefore, the assessment should be made by taking into account the said figures and detailed explanations.
