Definitions
- the present invention relates to a container according to the preamble of claim 1, which in a wall, for. B. a bathroom wall to be installed sealed and has a seal provided for this purpose. It also relates to a corresponding use of this seal and a manufacturing method for producing such a container.
- the container is generally meant in the context of this representation and can e.g. B. a container for receiving a concealed cistern of a toilet or other water dispenser, for. B. a flush valve.
- the container can form a leakage protection for the water dispensing device.
- toilets have a water flush and the most common solution includes a cistern for storing a sufficient volume of flush water.
- Modern cisterns generally consist essentially of an injection molded or blow molded plastic tank and in the past ceramic cisterns were also used. Regardless of the choice of material, there is always a small residual risk of leakage with cisterns. E.g. Small damage to the cistern on the construction site or during the assembly process could occur and remain undetected, which would result in hidden water leakage, especially when concealed cisterns are no longer visible after installation in a room wall.
- concealed water dispensers e.g. B. concealed flush valves, i.e. valves for a toilet cistern-less flush, concealed fittings and concealed mixing valves.
- the container can instead of receiving a water dispenser but also z. B. in the manner of a piece of furniture for storing various user-side objects to be cleared and cleared, z. B. in a shower area of a bathroom.
- it can have supporting shelves, for example shelves, in order, for example, to store soap bars, shampoo bottles, towels or the like.
- Such containers for sealed wall installation are known per se.
- the container can also be part of a water drain, in particular in a bathroom, wall drains and floor drains being considered.
- wall is also to be referred to a floor or a ceiling, a vertical wall (in contrast to the floor and to the ceiling) being preferred.
- a container for holding the draining water which is also installed in a manner sealed to the wall.
- EP 3 031 990 A1 shows a floor drain in which a sealing sleeve connected to a waterproof flexible layer is inserted into an inlet pipe after the inlet pipe has been sawed off to a suitable height.
- EP 0 844 340 A1 with a flush-mounted box for sanitary fittings, which is sealed by a sleeve made of elastic and one-piece material.
- the DE 42 41 989 A1 also shows a one-piece elastic seal for a concealed fitting.
- the DE 10 2010 016816 A1 shows the sealing of a floor drain channel with sealing strips, which can consist of a flexible and waterproof carrier material with a spunbonded coating.
- the invention is based on the object of developing a container corresponding to the preamble with regard to the seal provided for the seal with regard to simple and universal mounting options.
- a seal is provided which surrounds the opening of the container and creates a seal between the container and the wall.
- the opening should remain accessible after installation, on the other hand, in particular, no water should be able to penetrate into an area outside of the container or the opening and thus uncontrollably into the wall.
- this applies particularly, but not exclusively, to porch walls in bathrooms or drywall walls.
- B. also protect wooden walls in wooden houses or other walls.
- the seal is designed with two surface sections, a first of which is fastened tightly to a part of the container wall of the container and one second is provided for a sealing system on the wall.
- the container wall part is angled to the wall, preferably approximately perpendicular, and it can in particular be side walls, bottom walls or top walls of the container (in contrast, for example, to the rear wall).
- the two surface sections of the seal are also angled to one another, in particular approximately perpendicular to one another, so that the first surface section is angled to the wall and can therefore be or can be attached particularly advantageously close to the container wall section.
- the second surface section in turn runs, at least in the finally assembled state, approximately parallel to the wall and is therefore suitable for the sealing system.
- the seal and in particular the second surface section can have a different orientation before the final installation, e.g. B. be hammered inwards into the opening of the container.
- the first surface section is preferably already tightly attached to the container wall part in the not yet assembled state and before the container is installed.
- a flat film material lends itself, from which the desired angled structure (in which the first is angled to the second surface section) z. B. is produced by deep drawing or other forming in one piece.
- the seal is overall in two parts (or in several parts), a first sealing part being present in the first surface section and a second sealing part in the second surface section. This does not rule out that the first sealing part projects into the second surface section and / or vice versa.
- the first sealing part is preferably limited to the first surface section. The two sealing parts are firmly and tightly connected.
- planks of different thicknesses can be used on the wall during installation. It is then of great advantage to be able to bridge the first surface section of the seal accordingly and, due to an oversize and a certain flexibility, to be able to take different dimensions into account.
- the second surface section in turn can then, for. B. sealingly applied to the outside of the planking, e.g. B. glued on are, and then in turn covered by a wall covering, for. B. be stuck with tiles.
- the two-part design can be used advantageously in various ways.
- the two sealing parts can be made of different materials, including different thicknesses, and can be optimized for their different tasks.
- the second sealing part can be somewhat stiffer and the first sealing part somewhat more flexible. If the first sealing part then has an oversize in relation to the distance to be bridged in some applications in a direction perpendicular to the wall up to the second surface section, that is to say to rest against the wall, it can be pushed together more easily due to its greater flexibility (or softness) and thus to the actually shorter distance to be bridged is adjusted.
- the somewhat stiffer second sealing part can be applied well and tends to v. a. when mounted on a vertical wall, less to collapse.
- the material of the first and that of the second sealing part can differ with regard to elastic properties. It may be preferred in the second sealing part, at least in one direction, to react elastically ("stretch") material, because experience has shown that this can be applied easily and without bubbles, e.g. B. when sticking. However, this property does not have to be important for the first sealing part. Conversely, the "softness" just mentioned with regard to pushing together and collapsing a typical requirement of the first and not the second sealing part.
- the invention can offer similar advantages, e.g. B. if this material has directional properties.
- a preferred flexible sealing material has, for example, clearly direction-dependent elastic properties (is therefore "anisotropic"). It happens that the material is "softer” in the direction of greater elasticity or in the only elastic direction in terms of pushing or folding.
- a one-piece seal that is not in accordance with the invention in this sense could be produced from a material lying in the plane of the second surface section by deep-drawing and cutting, the deep-drawn region corresponding to the first surface section. If a two-part design is now selected according to the invention, the first sealing part can be produced from the material with the desired orientation and the second sealing part can be produced independently thereof. Both parts are then connected together.
- the first sealing part for the first surface section can then simply be cut from the web material and, for example, be joined together at one point to produce a closed peripheral shape.
- the desired orientation along the entire first sealing part can have the preferred orientation.
- the invention By producing two initially separate and then assembled parts that are firmly and tightly connected to one another, the invention thus achieves improved flexibility in adapting to specific requirements, in particular with regard to the elastic properties or mechanical properties (with regard to pushing together or folding) of the material used.
- the seal preferably runs closed around the opening including all possible corners, because a seal is generally desired or required all around.
- the second sealing part is preferably considered in one piece as far as it has been punched out or cut from a material web and does not contain any connection points at which it is connected to itself.
- the opening is substantially rectangular, as e.g. B. is the rule with leakage protection for a cistern.
- the shape of the seal is preferably adapted to this.
- the first and the second sealing part can be connected to one another in the first or in the second surface section, a connection in the first surface section being preferred.
- the two sealing parts can be glued or welded together; this also applies to the aforementioned production of a closed peripheral shape of the first sealing part. Accordingly, if the second sealing part protrudes somewhat into the first surface section at this connection point, this is preferably limited to a portion of the first surface section and does not go much beyond the connection to the first sealing part.
- the first sealing part is preferably limited to the first surface section and preferably does not go significantly beyond the connection mentioned.
- connections mentioned, in particular those between the first and the second sealing part, are preferably made flat, the materials thus being (at least) double-layered. If, for example, they are welded together, their separate identity will naturally dissolve somewhat in this double layer.
- the double layer means strictly speaking initially only one phase during production and in the final state at least an increased material thickness.
- this area has an increased stiffness compared to the other areas of the seal. Since it is preferably limited to only one (with respect to the wall preferably outer) part of the first surface section, the pushing together and folding of the first sealing part can preferably inward thereof (with respect to the wall) and also the assembly of the seal on the container wall and Provided that it protrudes outwards (in relation to the wall), also when installing in the wall.
- a preferred material for the seal is a flexible film, with a fiber covering on at least one side, preferably on both sides.
- the fiber covering facilitates gluing by improving the adhesion.
- it can be a covering made of polypropylene fleece or another fleece.
- the film itself that is to say the "core" in the case of the two-sided fiber covering, is preferably an elastomer, from which the stretch properties already mentioned result.
- the anisotropy of the elastic properties can also be caused by the fiber covering, namely z. B. in one direction, the stretch hindering and in a perpendicular direction less hindering fibers.
- the film has thermoplastic properties.
- a thermoplastic elastomer film is preferred.
- a further embodiment has at least one fold in the first surface section and there preferably in the first sealing part, which is already embossed during installation, for. B. is ironed.
- This at least one fold facilitates the pushing together in a direction perpendicular to the wall if the seal is excessive in this regard and also avoids excessive interference of the second surface section due to uncontrolled wrinkling.
- connection between the first and the second sealing part is preferably glued or welded, in particular ultrasonically welded. Both options are of course also possible for the connection between the seal, in particular the first seal part, and the wall of the container. However, this wall is preferably rather dimensionally stable and the connection is therefore preferably glued.
- the first sealing part can be glued to the outside of the container wall, as the exemplary embodiment shows. The adhesive can simultaneously ensure the seal and is present over the entire length of the seal.
- Fig. 1 shows an essentially box-like container 1, namely a leakage protection cover for a concealed cistern, the open front of which in Fig. 1 points to the right front.
- This box-like container 1 is formed from a dimensionally stable, solid plastic and is tightly connected to a flexible seal that completely surrounds the opening in the front, namely a film seal 2 made of flexible plastic material.
- Fig. 1 shows a hint that the box-like container 1 is connected on its underside to a further leakage protective cover which is tightly connected to it and which is provided for a flushing pipe on the concealed cistern to be accommodated.
- This leakage protection envelope bears the reference number 3 and ends in the same front plane as the film seal 2 with a further annular film seal 4.
- substantially horizontal rails 5 are provided on the inside of the container 1 and one from the inside and which are used for later insertion of the cistern.
- Fig. 1 shows the leakage protection for a better understanding of the following figures, in a state that is only starting Fig. 5 is present, i.e. with foil seals 2 and 4 folded out to the sides Fig. 3 and 4th explained.
- Fig. 2 shows the leak protection Fig. 1 with a built-in concealed cistern 6 and a mounting frame 7 for mounting the cistern in and a toilet in front of a wall.
- the container 1 is provided between the cistern 6 and the mounting frame 7. Furthermore, the downward-facing end of the leakage protection covering 3 of the flushing pipe penetrates a transverse support of the mounting frame 7, so that the film seal 4 lies in front of this support. This condition also corresponds to that in the following description Fig. 5 and not the delivery status.
- Fig. 3 shows the mounting frame 7 with the leakage protection Fig. 1 mounted between vertical stands 8 for a lightweight wall.
- This assembly is conventional with regard to the assembly frame 7 which is conventional per se.
- the assembled unit also has a building protection plate 9 on the front, which is in the 1 and 2 recognizable opening of the container 1 largely covers.
- the film seals 2 and 4 are wrapped (and the film seal 4 is also protected by an attachment). This corresponds to the delivery state; in Fig. 3 is the delivered and pre-assembled ensemble of mounting frame 7, container 1 and concealed cistern 6 with building protection plate 9 mounted.
- the lightweight wall 10 can then be attached to the vertical supports 8, such as Fig. 4 shows, the building protection plate 9 serves as a reference line or stop. After their removal, the film seals 2 and 4 are then turned over, such as Fig. 5 shows, and can for example be glued to the lightweight wall 10.
- Fig. 6 shows, in addition to this situation, leaning against the lightweight wall 10 a cover plate 11 matching the opening therein, to which fitting parts 12, not shown here, are attached.
- Fig. 7 shows how after mounting the cover plate 11 in the opening, the lightweight wall 10 including the cover plate 11 now flush with it has been tiled.
- the tile layer has the reference number 13.
- a slot is provided on the outer contour of the cover plate 11 in the tiles, the upper slot in this example fitting a tile joint, but the remaining three slots not. These are realized by appropriate cuts in the tiles. All slots are then grouted with silicone.
- the tiles 13 are also glued to the folded film seals 2 and 4.
- Fig. 8 shows that a soundproofing plate 14 has been applied around the flush pipe socket and the drain pipe socket of the toilet, which is not yet visible. Apart from one detail, this is conventional in itself. This detail is an angle downwards from the flush pipe socket (in Fig. 8 gutter or recess 15 running to the bottom left).
- Fig. 9 the installation is then completed by attaching a toilet 16 and a conventional operating plate 17. If a leakage occurs in the cistern 6 or its flush pipe in this situation, the box-like container 1 or the corresponding casing 3 leads the corresponding leakage water in the case shown here in any case through the casing 3 of the flush pipe to the flush pipe outlet and enables drainage through the channel 15. The water is thus visible as a puddle next to the toilet 16 on the floor.
- the user recognizes the presence of a leak.
- the user can then initiate a repair.
- the craftsman cuts the silicone joint that separates the tiles in front of the cover plate 11 from the others, and for example attaches a suction cup to the tiles on the cover plate 11.
- the cover plate can now be pulled out to the front due to the special configuration of the fitting parts 12, so that the cistern 6 is accessible.
- This can now be removed, including the flushing pipe firmly attached to it, by a tilting movement, which in Fig. 10 is indicated.
- it is replaced by an intact cistern 6, whereupon the cover plate 11 is reattached, the silicone joint is created again and the actuating plate 17 is mounted.
- Fig. 11 shows the film seal 2 alone in a perspective view for a better understanding of its structure. It consists of two parts, namely a first part 20 and a second part 21.
- the first part is present in a rectangular area section running all around, which in comparison with z. B. 1, 2 and 5 obviously runs perpendicular to the plane of the wall.
- the second part 21 is essentially present in a second surface section perpendicular to it and lying in the wall plane.
- the two parts are welded together in an overlap area 22.
- they consist of a three-layer material, namely a medium thermoplastic elastomer film, which is coated on both sides with a polypropylene nonwoven.
- the fleece is stretchable transversely in one direction (in the surface) and almost not in the other direction perpendicular to it.
- thermoplastic cores of the two parts 20 and 21 become flowable in the overlap zone 22 by means of ultrasound and frictional heat, at least at their interface with one another, and thus produce the welded connection.
- the overlap area 22 is in the in Fig. 11 uppermost and outermost in terms of the assembly position of the first surface section and at the same time in each case on the edge of the first part 20 and the second part 21. It follows that the second part has been given a collar corresponding to the overlap region 22 by deep-drawing known per se, which is somewhat in protrudes the first surface section.
- Fig. 11 also shows a hint of a seam 23 in the first sealing part 20.
- This first sealing part 20 was first cut out from the flat starting material, just like the second sealing part 21, and then bent into a rectangular shape and ultrasonically welded to the seam 23 in the manner just described.
- the film seal 2 also has Fig. 11 two ironed folds on the inside Fig. 11 are not shown, but from Fig. 12 surrender.
- a corner of the film seal 2 is drawn in the installed state in a schematic and perspective cutout illustration, partially cut at the front left.
- a portion of the assembly frame 7, namely a cut vertical stand 8, and additionally a portion of the lightweight wall 10 can be seen cut on the front left.
- the film seal 2, namely with its second part 21, is turned over and glued onto this.
- the first part 20 is also glued in a manner shown in section with an indicated layer of adhesive to the outside of a front wall section of the container 1 with respect to the installed position and is thus sealed. Accordingly, the runs in Fig. 12 recognizable adhesive layer once closed around.
- Fig. 12 also shows the overlap region 22 at the upper end of the first surface section and the first sealing part 20 and at the inner end of the second sealing part 21 and adjacent to the second surface section and at right angles thereto.
- Fig. 12 is also the cover plate 11 with the double dash-dotted lines (cf. Fig. 6 ) indicated.
- a "zigzag line" of the first sealing part namely a bellows shape formed by three folds and approximately V-shaped inwards. This is by three pre-formed fold lines, an upper fold line 24, a middle and in Fig. 12 inward-facing fold line 25 and a third lower fold line 26 are pre-embossed.
- the first sealing part 20 of the foil seal 2 collapses relatively unproblematically and neatly not only because of the pre-ironed folds 24 to 26, but also because of the mechanical reinforcement due to the double layer of the material in the overlap region 22 (and the possible thickening of the elastomer core due to the welding or, in other examples, by adhesive). In a way, this provides a more rigid framework.
- the fleece-coated elastomer material has been processed for the first sealing part 20 in such a way that the direction of the maximum extensibility is perpendicular to the wall plane, that is, in Fig. 12 vertical.
- the same material was used for the second sealing part 21, here, depending on the leg of the rectangular shape, the direction of the extensibility in this embodiment is partly perpendicular and partly parallel to the edges of the opening, but in another embodiment also obliquely, approximately diagonally could run.
- the material, which is essentially stretchable on one side has proven to be particularly favorable for achieving a flat contact without bubbles or
- the two-sided non-woven covering has the advantage in the second surface section that, on the one hand, it makes it easier to glue to the planking of the lightweight wall 10, cf. Fig. 12 , on the other hand to facilitate later tiling or other sticking of wall cladding, cf. Fig. 7 .
- the flexible seal 2 has the overall advantage of being able to be knocked into the opening of the container before assembly and of being able to be removed therefrom in the manner described and only be turned around during or after assembly of the container.
- the material has an approximate mass per unit area of 300 to 350 g / m 2 and is stretchable in the elastic direction to three times its unloaded dimensions, in the direction perpendicular to it only one and a half times, where both values correspond to the elongation at break and thus extreme conditions.
- the thickness is approximately 0.6 to 0.7 mm.

Description
The present invention relates to a container according to the preamble of claim 1, which in a wall, for. B. a bathroom wall to be installed sealed and has a seal provided for this purpose. It also relates to a corresponding use of this seal and a manufacturing method for producing such a container.
The container is generally meant in the context of this representation and can e.g. B. a container for receiving a concealed cistern of a toilet or other water dispenser, for. B. a flush valve. In particular, the container can form a leakage protection for the water dispensing device.
By definition, toilets have a water flush and the most common solution includes a cistern for storing a sufficient volume of flush water. Modern cisterns generally consist essentially of an injection molded or blow molded plastic tank and in the past ceramic cisterns were also used.
Similar problems arise accordingly with other concealed water dispensers, e.g. B. concealed flush valves, i.e. valves for a toilet cistern-less flush, concealed fittings and concealed mixing valves.
The undiscovered leaks described are particularly problematic for wooden houses or wooden elements in houses and can cause considerable damage to lead. Additional protective measures are therefore desirable or even mandatory depending on the country concerned.
The container can instead of receiving a water dispenser but also z. B. in the manner of a piece of furniture for storing various user-side objects to be cleared and cleared, z. B. in a shower area of a bathroom. For this purpose, it can have supporting shelves, for example shelves, in order, for example, to store soap bars, shampoo bottles, towels or the like. Such containers for sealed wall installation are known per se.
Finally, the container can also be part of a water drain, in particular in a bathroom, wall drains and floor drains being considered. In the context of this invention, the term “wall” is also to be referred to a floor or a ceiling, a vertical wall (in contrast to the floor and to the ceiling) being preferred. In wall or floor drains, there is usually a container for holding the draining water, which is also installed in a manner sealed to the wall.

On this basis, the invention is based on the object of developing a container corresponding to the preamble with regard to the seal provided for the seal with regard to simple and universal mounting options.
This object is achieved by a container for sealed installation in a wall, which container has the combination of features of claim 1.
Preferred embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims and are explained below in addition to the invention in its general sense. This applies to the container and the use alike, without explicitly differentiating between the two.
According to the invention, a seal is provided which surrounds the opening of the container and creates a seal between the container and the wall. In this way, on the one hand, the opening should remain accessible after installation, on the other hand, in particular, no water should be able to penetrate into an area outside of the container or the opening and thus uncontrollably into the wall. Of course, this applies particularly, but not exclusively, to porch walls in bathrooms or drywall walls. B. also protect wooden walls in wooden houses or other walls.
For this purpose, the seal is designed with two surface sections, a first of which is fastened tightly to a part of the container wall of the container and one second is provided for a sealing system on the wall. The container wall part is angled to the wall, preferably approximately perpendicular, and it can in particular be side walls, bottom walls or top walls of the container (in contrast, for example, to the rear wall). The two surface sections of the seal are also angled to one another, in particular approximately perpendicular to one another, so that the first surface section is angled to the wall and can therefore be or can be attached particularly advantageously close to the container wall section. The second surface section in turn runs, at least in the finally assembled state, approximately parallel to the wall and is therefore suitable for the sealing system.
If the term "approximately perpendicular" or "vertical" is used here, this can preferably mean an angle of 70 ° to 110 °, particularly preferably 75 ° to 105 ° or 80 ° to 100 ° or 85 ° to 95 °, the choice of boundaries in the various contexts of course takes place independently of one another.
However, the seal and in particular the second surface section can have a different orientation before the final installation, e.g. B. be hammered inwards into the opening of the container. The first surface section, in turn, is preferably already tightly attached to the container wall part in the not yet assembled state and before the container is installed.
For the production of such a seal, a flat film material lends itself, from which the desired angled structure (in which the first is angled to the second surface section) z. B. is produced by deep drawing or other forming in one piece.
According to the invention, however, the seal is overall in two parts (or in several parts), a first sealing part being present in the first surface section and a second sealing part in the second surface section. This does not rule out that the first sealing part projects into the second surface section and / or vice versa. However, the first sealing part is preferably limited to the first surface section. The two sealing parts are firmly and tightly connected.
When using the seals and the container, different situations can occur, which lead to different dimensions with regard to the direction perpendicular to the wall. For example, planks of different thicknesses can be used on the wall during installation. It is then of great advantage to be able to bridge the first surface section of the seal accordingly and, due to an oversize and a certain flexibility, to be able to take different dimensions into account. The second surface section in turn can then, for. B. sealingly applied to the outside of the planking, e.g. B. glued on are, and then in turn covered by a wall covering, for. B. be stuck with tiles.
The two-part design can be used advantageously in various ways. Thus, the two sealing parts can be made of different materials, including different thicknesses, and can be optimized for their different tasks. In particular, the second sealing part can be somewhat stiffer and the first sealing part somewhat more flexible.
On the other hand, the somewhat stiffer second sealing part can be applied well and tends to v. a. when mounted on a vertical wall, less to collapse.
Additionally or alternatively, the material of the first and that of the second sealing part can differ with regard to elastic properties.
Even if, which is preferred per se, the same material is used for both sealing parts, the invention can offer similar advantages, e.g. B. if this material has directional properties. A preferred flexible sealing material has, for example, clearly direction-dependent elastic properties (is therefore "anisotropic"). It happens that the material is "softer" in the direction of greater elasticity or in the only elastic direction in terms of pushing or folding.
If e.g. B. an opening is sealed all the way around, then (for simplification starting from a rectangle), for example. On certain side edges this "soft" direction would lie in the desired direction and not on other side edges if not in pieces but in one piece. For example, a one-piece seal that is not in accordance with the invention in this sense could be produced from a material lying in the plane of the second surface section by deep-drawing and cutting, the deep-drawn region corresponding to the first surface section. If a two-part design is now selected according to the invention, the first sealing part can be produced from the material with the desired orientation and the second sealing part can be produced independently thereof. Both parts are then connected together.
The first sealing part for the first surface section can then simply be cut from the web material and, for example, be joined together at one point to produce a closed peripheral shape. The desired orientation along the entire first sealing part can have the preferred orientation.
By producing two initially separate and then assembled parts that are firmly and tightly connected to one another, the invention thus achieves improved flexibility in adapting to specific requirements, in particular with regard to the elastic properties or mechanical properties (with regard to pushing together or folding) of the material used.
Of course, the seal preferably runs closed around the opening including all possible corners, because a seal is generally desired or required all around. The second sealing part is preferably considered in one piece as far as it has been punched out or cut from a material web and does not contain any connection points at which it is connected to itself.
Preferably the opening is substantially rectangular, as e.g. B. is the rule with leakage protection for a cistern. The shape of the seal is preferably adapted to this.
The first and the second sealing part can be connected to one another in the first or in the second surface section, a connection in the first surface section being preferred. E.g. the two sealing parts can be glued or welded together; this also applies to the aforementioned production of a closed peripheral shape of the first sealing part. Accordingly, if the second sealing part protrudes somewhat into the first surface section at this connection point, this is preferably limited to a portion of the first surface section and does not go much beyond the connection to the first sealing part. Conversely, in this embodiment, the first sealing part is preferably limited to the first surface section and preferably does not go significantly beyond the connection mentioned.
The connections mentioned, in particular those between the first and the second sealing part, are preferably made flat, the materials thus being (at least) double-layered. If, for example, they are welded together, their separate identity will naturally dissolve somewhat in this double layer. The double layer means strictly speaking initially only one phase during production and in the final state at least an increased material thickness.
As a result of the double layer mentioned or another form of stiffening in the connection area, for example by means of adhesive, this area has an increased stiffness compared to the other areas of the seal.
A preferred material for the seal is a flexible film, with a fiber covering on at least one side, preferably on both sides. The fiber covering facilitates gluing by improving the adhesion. For example, it can be a covering made of polypropylene fleece or another fleece. The film itself, that is to say the "core" in the case of the two-sided fiber covering, is preferably an elastomer, from which the stretch properties already mentioned result. The anisotropy of the elastic properties can also be caused by the fiber covering, namely z. B. in one direction, the stretch hindering and in a perpendicular direction less hindering fibers.
For the welding properties mentioned, it is favorable if the film has thermoplastic properties. In particular, a thermoplastic elastomer film is preferred.
A further embodiment has at least one fold in the first surface section and there preferably in the first sealing part, which is already embossed during installation, for. B. is ironed. This at least one fold facilitates the pushing together in a direction perpendicular to the wall if the seal is excessive in this regard and also avoids excessive interference of the second surface section due to uncontrolled wrinkling. Preferably at least two and particularly preferably exactly three folds are provided. The mode of operation then resembles a bellows.
As already mentioned, the connection between the first and the second sealing part is preferably glued or welded, in particular ultrasonically welded. Both options are of course also possible for the connection between the seal, in particular the first seal part, and the wall of the container. However, this wall is preferably rather dimensionally stable and the connection is therefore preferably glued. In particular, the first sealing part can be glued to the outside of the container wall, as the exemplary embodiment shows. The adhesive can simultaneously ensure the seal and is present over the entire length of the seal.
