  1. A device for pressing a substance out of a deformable tube (24), the device having the following:
    - a housing (1) comprising a base end (2),
    - an upper portion (3) opposite the base end (2) and

    the housing (1) having, in the upper portion (3), an opening (5) through which a dispensing outlet of the tube (24) can be guided, and, in opposite parts of the side wall portions (4), openings (8) by means of which the jaws (12) can be operated, the jaws (12) being fastened at one end to the support element (11) and the squeezer (10) additionally having a manual lever element (15) on at least one jaw (12), the lever element (15) being connected in a connection region (20) to the jaw (12) in an arrangement in which pressure manually applied to the lever element (15) produces a force on the jaw (12) toward the other jaw (12), characterized in that the lever element (15) has a body (16) comprising reinforcing ribs (17), the reinforcing ribs (17) being surrounded, at least in part, by a closed outer shell (18), a region of the outer shell (18) forming a grip region (19), the connection region (20) between the lever element (15) and the jaw (12) having a maximum width v which is at most half a width b of the jaw (12) in this region.
  2. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that the lever element (15) has a concave portion (21) on the at least one jaw (12) at the level of the connection region (20).
  3. The device according to claim 2, characterized in that for a radius of curvature r of the outer shell (18) of the lever element (15) in the concave portion (21), the following applies: 5 mm ≤ r ≤ 50 mm, in particular 16 mm ≤ r ≤ 35 mm.
  4. The device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that, in the grip region (19), grip ribs (22) are arranged on the outer shell (18) of the lever element (15).
  5. The device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the connection region (20) between the lever element (15) and the jaw (12) has a length L, L being less than 25% of the length of the jaw (12).
  6. The device according to claim 5, characterized in that for the length L, the following applies:
    2 mm ≤ L ≤ 20 mm, in particular where 3 mm ≤ L ≤ 12 mm.
  7. The device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the connection region (20) between the lever element (15) and the jaw (12) is arranged in an upper half of the jaw (12) remote from the support element (11), but not in the region of the uppermost 20% of the jaw (12).
  8. The device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the body (16) of the lever element (15) is integral with the jaws (12).
  9. The device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the housing (1) is open at its base end (2) and the squeezer (10) can be inserted into the housing (1) through the open base end (2) and can be secured therein.
