Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of devices for shelter against the sun's rays and relates more particularly to a parasol of the type with a folding head.
  • the invention also relates to a method of folding the head of such a parasol.
  • parasols are known, that is to say devices provided with a foot intended to be fixed to the ground, and bearing a head at a distance from the ground.
  • the head typically consists of a plurality of ribs extending radially around a central axis, to which is fixed a fabric capable of at least partially filtering the sun's rays when it is struck by said rays.
  • the ribs are generally fixed in an articulated manner, on the one hand, to the foot, and on the other hand, to a sliding ring, fitted on the foot, capable of occupying two extreme positions. According to a first extreme position of the ring, the ribs are folded over the foot, as is the canvas, and according to a second extreme position the ribs are deployed radially around the foot, exerting forces on the canvas in order to stretch it and to give it the shape of a spherical cap. When the canvas is stretched, it projects a shaded surface on the ground, thus forming a shelter from the rays of the sun.
  • wind resistance is meant the surface on which pressure forces are exerted by the wind. These pressure forces generate moments of force on the whales. These moments of force can generate mechanical stresses in the parasol head, and cause damage to said head due to the low resistance of the ribs to mechanical stresses.
  • the pressure forces exerted on the parasol's fabric can, if the mast is poorly fixed to the ground or if said forces are sufficiently large, generate a lift phenomenon displacing the pole. parasol in the direction of the wind, posing obvious safety problems.

  • the object of the present invention is to provide a parasol suitable for use when the wind is blowing, without presenting danger problems or deteriorating.
  • Another objective of the invention is to provide a parasol capable of projecting a shaded surface onto the ground, which can be fully exploited by a user.
  • An additional objective of the present invention is to provide a parasol which is quick and easy to use.
  • the present invention relates, according to a first aspect, to a parasol comprising a foot comprising a mast, and a head, integral with one end of said mast, comprising a fabric capable of filtering at least part of the sun's rays and a support structure. of said canvas.
  • Said support structure is deformable between a first so-called deployed configuration, in which the canvas is stretched, and a second so-called folded configuration, in which the canvas is folded.

Description

Domaine de l'inventionField of the invention

The invention relates to the field of devices for shelter against the sun's rays and relates more particularly to a parasol of the type with a folding head. The invention also relates to a method of folding the head of such a parasol.

État de l'artState of the art

Among the existing devices for shelter against the sun's rays, parasols are known, that is to say devices provided with a foot intended to be fixed to the ground, and bearing a head at a distance from the ground.

The head typically consists of a plurality of ribs extending radially around a central axis, to which is fixed a fabric capable of at least partially filtering the sun's rays when it is struck by said rays. The ribs are generally fixed in an articulated manner, on the one hand, to the foot, and on the other hand, to a sliding ring, fitted on the foot, capable of occupying two extreme positions.

These parasols have the particular drawback of not being usable when the wind blows at relatively high speeds, typically at a few tens of kilometers per hour, because of the significant wind resistance of the canvas. By wind resistance is meant the surface on which pressure forces are exerted by the wind. These pressure forces generate moments of force on the whales. These moments of force can generate mechanical stresses in the parasol head, and cause damage to said head due to the low resistance of the ribs to mechanical stresses. In addition, the pressure forces exerted on the parasol's fabric can, if the mast is poorly fixed to the ground or if said forces are sufficiently large, generate a lift phenomenon displacing the pole. parasol in the direction of the wind, posing obvious safety problems.

Des parasols sont divulgués, par exemple, dans les documents WO 2005/084480 A1 , US 2011/099692 A1 , US 6 202 659 B1 , US 4 836 232 A ou FR 2 700 802 A1 .Parasols are disclosed, for example, in documents WO 2005/084480 A1 , US 2011/099692 A1 , US 6,202,659 B1 , US 4 836 232 A or FR 2 700 802 A1 .

Exposé de l'inventionDisclosure of the invention

According to a first aspect, the object of the present invention is to provide a parasol suitable for use when the wind is blowing, without presenting danger problems or deteriorating.

Another objective of the invention is to provide a parasol capable of projecting a shaded surface onto the ground, which can be fully exploited by a user.

An additional objective of the present invention is to provide a parasol which is quick and easy to use.

The present invention relates, according to a first aspect, to a parasol comprising a foot comprising a mast, and a head, integral with one end of said mast, comprising a fabric capable of filtering at least part of the sun's rays and a support structure. of said canvas. Said support structure is deformable between a first so-called deployed configuration, in which the canvas is stretched, and a second so-called folded configuration, in which the canvas is folded. The support structure comprises a first arch closed on itself, called a “peripheral arch”, forming part of a plane in the deployed configuration of the support structure, and the canvas is fixed inside the peripheral arch. such that said canvas is stretched inside said peripheral arch in the deployed configuration of the support structure. The support structure also comprises a second arch, called an “internal arch”, closed on itself, the internal arch being arranged inside the peripheral arch, contiguous at a point of internal tangency, and substantially coplanar with it. the latter when the support structure occupies its deployed configuration.

When the support structure occupies its deployed configuration, the parasol is in the position of use, that is to say the fabric is able to project a shaded surface on the ground.

In this deployed configuration, the parasol head advantageously has a substantially planar geometric shape, capable of being placed substantially parallel to the direction of the wind. The head thus placed therefore has little or no wind resistance, the wind pressure forces on said head are therefore absent or relatively low. Thanks to these characteristics of the parasol head, the parasol can be used when the wind is blowing, without presenting any danger problems or deteriorating.

In addition, the internal arch makes it possible to provide mechanical resistance against the forces exerted on the support structure, in particular generated by the wind following its direction.

According to particular embodiments, the invention also meets the following characteristics, implemented separately or in each of their technically operative combinations.

In particular embodiments of the invention, the peripheral arch is elastically deformable between a position, called “free position”, in which it is deployed so as to stretch the canvas, and a position called “constrained position”, in which it is folded over on itself in a substantially planar conformation.

The free position of the peripheral arch corresponds to the deployed configuration of the support structure, and the constrained position of said peripheral arch corresponds to the folded configuration of the support structure.

The peripheral arch being elastically deformable, once deformed, it tends to resume the shape it occupied before deformation and generates forces for this purpose. The mechanical stresses to which the peripheral arch is subjected in the constrained position oppose these forces so as to cancel them and to maintain said arch in the constrained position. The peripheral arch is therefore adapted to resume its initial shape spontaneously when it is no longer subjected to mechanical stresses, and therefore to deploy and stretch the canvas. Therefore, it is easy and fun to put the parasol in the use position. In addition, the canvas is deployed faster than that of state-of-the-art parasols.

The parasol is configured such that, when the peripheral hoop occupies its constrained position, said peripheral hoop is elastically deformed so as to fold the canvas back on itself and to have a substantially planar shape. The parasol then occupies a position of storage in which it is able to be easily transported and stored.

Advantageously, the head is made integral with said end of the mast by an articulation system comprising a first articulation means fixed on the head and a second articulation means fixed on the mast, said first and second articulation means cooperating with each other.

These first and second articulation means are adapted to form an articulation thanks to which the head is able to adopt different positions relative to the mast.

In particular embodiments of the invention, the first articulation means is arranged at the periphery of the head.

By virtue of this characteristic, when the parasol is in the position of use, the canvas is able to project a shaded surface on the ground, entirely usable by a user, insofar as the mast is placed outside said shaded surface. .

In particular embodiments of the invention, the first articulation means is fixed to a spacer, fixed inside the internal arch so as to extend between two diametrically opposed points of the internal arch.

Due to these characteristics, the parasol is easy to design and install. Thus, the cost of the parasol is relatively low, and any maintenance operations are facilitated, such as the replacement of parts.

In particular embodiments of the invention, the first articulation means and the second articulation means are configured so as to allow the head to be movable relative to the foot according to at least one degree of freedom in rotation.

The articulation means are preferably configured so that the head is movable in rotation relative to the mast according to a mechanical connection of the ball joint type, in order to be able to modify the orientation of the head relative to the mast according to three axes of rotation.

Thus, the head can easily be arranged substantially parallel with respect to the direction of the wind so that it has little or no wind resistance.

The head can advantageously be attached to the foot in a removable manner, so as to be able to be detached from the foot.

In particular embodiments of the invention, the support structure comprises a third arch closed on itself, called an “intermediate arch”, arranged between the peripheral and internal arches, fixed at a point of internal tangency of the arches. peripheral, and fixed to the canvas on at least a portion of its periphery.

Advantageously, the intermediate arch is elastically deformable between a position, called “free position”, in which it is deployed, and a position called “constrained position”, in which it is folded back on itself in a substantially planar configuration. The free position of the intermediate arch corresponds to the deployed configuration of the support structure, and the constrained position of said intermediate arch corresponds to the folded configuration of the support structure. The intermediate arch is substantially coplanar with the peripheral arch.

The intermediate arch makes it possible to provide additional resistance against the forces exerted by the weight of the head on the support structure, more or less high according to its dimensions, and, if necessary, by the wind on the structure Support.

In particular embodiments of the invention, which the mast is of adjustable length.

Thus, when the parasol occupies its storage position, the length of the mast can be minimal, and the head folded against the mast, so as to reduce the size of the parasol. The parasol can therefore be transported and stored easily.

In particular embodiments of the invention, the mast comprises a means for fixing in the ground.

The present invention relates, according to a second aspect, to a method of folding the head of a parasol comprising:
  • a first step consisting in folding two opposite points of the peripheral arch against one another, while applying a torsional force on said peripheral arch, so as to cause part of the head to pivot, substantially over one hundred and four- twenty degrees from another part of said head,
  • a second step consisting in folding the two parts of the head against each other, so as to form an intermediate arrangement in which the peripheral hoop forms two rings superimposed one against the other,
  • a third step consisting in repeating the first and second steps on the intermediate arrangement thus formed, so as to constrain the support structure in its folded configuration,
  • a fourth step consisting in immobilizing the support structure in said folded configuration by means of attachment.

Preferably, when the support structure comprises an intermediate arch and the peripheral arch is manipulated during the implementation of the method of folding the parasol head, this manipulation causes deformations of the intermediate arch which are substantially similar to those undergone. by the peripheral arch.

The present invention also relates to a method of unfolding the head comprising a step of releasing the support structure in which the user acts on the attachment means in order to restore mobility to the support structure so that it regains spontaneously its deployed configuration.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

The present invention relates to a parasol 10, as represented by the figures 1 to 3 in a non-limiting exemplary embodiment, comprising a head 20 of parasol 10, referred to as “head” in the remainder of the text, secured to a foot 30 of parasol 10, referred to as “foot” in the remainder of the text. More precisely, the foot 30 comprises a mast 32 extending between two opposite ends, the head 20 being integral with one of these ends.

The head 20 is formed by a support structure 21 comprising at least a first peripheral arch 210 closed on itself, elastically deformable. The term “peripheral arch closed on itself” is understood to mean that the peripheral arch 210 has a geometric shape, the contour of which is closed, as represented by the figure. figure 1 , so as to define an interior area.

The peripheral arch 210 is able to be elastically deformed, from a position called “free position”, to a position called “constrained position”, when it is subjected to forces of sufficient intensity, that is to say. say greater than a given value. When the forces are no longer applied to said peripheral hoop 210, or when their intensity is insufficient, that is to say less than a given value, the peripheral hoop 210 is advantageously able to spontaneously resume its free position. The free position is the position occupied by the peripheral arch 210 before deformation, that is to say, a position in which it is deployed. When it occupies its deployed position, the peripheral arch is inscribed in a plane.

Lorsque la toile 22 est tendue par l'arceau périphérique 210, ledit arceau périphérique 210 exerce préférentiellement des efforts de tension sur l'ensemble de la périphérie de la toile 22.In a first configuration of the support structure 21, called the “deployed configuration”, as illustrated by figure 1 , the peripheral arch 210 occupies its free position, and the canvas 22 is stretched. When canvas 22 is tensioned by the peripheral arch 210, said peripheral arch 210 preferentially exerts tension forces over the entire periphery of the fabric 22.

By way of example, the peripheral hoop 210 is engaged in one or more housings developing along the periphery of the canvas 22. Alternatively, the peripheral hoop 210 can be fixed to the canvas 22 by any known fixing means. of the person skilled in the art, permanent or removable.

The canvas 22 comprises a face 221 called “upper face”, which is intended to receive the sun's rays when the parasol 10 is in the position of use, and a face 222 called “lower face”, which is intended to remain opposite. from the ground when the parasol 10 is in the use position.

The support structure 21 also comprises a second arch, called an “internal arch” 211, closed on itself so as to define an interior area, and fixed to the canvas 22, for example, against a face 221 or 222 of the canvas. 22. As represented by figure 1 , when the support structure 21 occupies its deployed configuration, the internal arch 211 is disposed inside the peripheral arch 210, contiguous at an internal point of tangency 23, and is substantially coplanar with the latter.

The internal arch 211 is preferably of circular shape. The internal arch 211 can be made of any elastically deformable material.

The support structure 21 may include a third hoop called an “intermediate hoop” 212 disposed between the peripheral 210 and internal 211 hoops. In a similar way to the peripheral 210 and internal 211 hoops, the intermediate hoop 212 is closed on itself, so so as to form an interior area, and fixed to the canvas 22, for example, against one of its faces 221 or 222.

The intermediate arch makes it possible to provide additional resistance against the forces exerted by the weight of the head on the support structure, more or less high according to its dimensions, and, if necessary, by the wind on the structure Support.

Advantageously, analogously to the peripheral hoop 210, the intermediate hoop 212 is elastically deformable between a position, called "free position", in which it is deployed so as to stretch a portion of the canvas, and a position called "constrained position", in which it is folded back on itself in a substantially flat conformation.

The intermediate arch 212 can be made from any elastically deformable material.

By way of nonlimiting example, the area of the interior area delimited by the intermediate arch 212 is twice as large as the area of the interior area delimited by the internal arch 211.

The point of tangency 23 is called “point of internal tangency” insofar as the intermediate hoops 212 and interior 211 are respectively arranged inside the peripheral arch 210.

The peripheral hoop 210 is the hoop most subject to mechanical stresses, such as the forces generated by the weight of the head and / or the forces generated by the wind. It is therefore dimensioned to have greater mechanical strength than the intermediate 212 and inner 211 hoops. The cross section of the peripheral hoop 210 therefore has larger dimensions than the cross section of the intermediate hoop 212. Likewise, the cross section of the peripheral hoop 210 The intermediate arch 212 can be dimensioned to have a greater mechanical strength than the internal arch 211, its cross section may therefore have dimensions greater than the dimensions of the cross section of the internal arch 211.

In the non-limiting example of embodiment illustrated by the figures 1 and 5 , the peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 arches are substantially of ovoidal geometric shape. More precisely, said peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 arches develop respectively in two transverse portions joined together by two longitudinal portions symmetrical with respect to an axis of symmetry S. The two transverse portions each have the geometric shape of a circular arc, the radii of said arcs being of different values from one another.

Preferably, the peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 hoops are fixed to one another, at the internal point of tangency 23, by one of their transverse portions. More particularly, as illustrated by figure 1 , said peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 hoops are fixed to the internal point of tangency 23 by their respective transverse portion, the radius value of which is the smallest.

Avantageusement, le système d'articulation 24 peut être fixé en périphérie de l'arceau périphérique 210.The head 20 is made integral with the mast 32 by an articulation system 24. Advantageously, the articulation system 24 can be fixed at the periphery of the peripheral arch 210.

The first articulation means 243 is fixed to a spacer 240 fixed inside the internal hoop 211 so as to connect two points of the diametrically opposed internal hoop 211.

The spacer 240 extends along a longitudinal axis, and comprises two opposite ends each respectively comprising an end face. Each end face advantageously comprises a notch 241, 242, intended to receive a portion of the internal arch 211.

In the exemplary embodiment illustrated by the figures 1 and 5 , the spacer 240 adjoins the internal tangent point 23 of the internal 211, intermediate 212 and peripheral 210 arches, via one of its ends called the “proximal end”, its other end, called the “distal end” being distant from said point of tangency interior 23, so that the mast 32 is eccentric with respect to the head 20.

De manière alternative, l'entretoise 240 peut ne pas être attenante au point de tangence intérieure 23.Alternatively, the spacer 240 may not be contiguous to the internal point of tangency 23.

In the exemplary embodiment illustrated by the detail view of the figure 4 , the notch 242 made on the face of the proximal end of the spacer 240 comprises several indentations so as to receive successively, juxtaposed to each other, the internal arch 211, the intermediate arch 212 and the peripheral arch 210. The indentations are dimensioned so as to correspond to the dimensions of the straight sections of the peripheral 210, intermediate 212 and internal 211 arches.

The notch 241 made on the face of the distal end preferably comprises only a single indentation insofar as it is intended to receive only the internal arch 211.

Alternatively, in other exemplary embodiments not shown in the figures, the notches 241, 242, of the end faces may comprise only one indentation each.

Advantageously, the spacer 240 and the internal arch 211 are mechanically linked by an adjustment of the tight type, produced, for example, by a slight deformation of the internal arch 211, generating a tension for maintaining the spacer 240. Alternatively, , the spacer 240 can be mechanically linked to the internal arch 211 by any other fixing means known per se.

Préférentiellement, le second moyen d'articulation 31 est situé à une des extrémités du mât 32, dite « extrémité supérieure ».Preferably, the second articulation means 31 is located at one of the ends of the mast 32, called the “upper end”.

As represented by the figure 4 by way of non-limiting example, the first articulation means 243 can comprise a sphere 244.

Préférentiellement, la sphère 244 est maintenue à distance de l'entretoise 240 par l'intermédiaire d'un arbre 245 dont l'axe longitudinal s'étend, par exemple, perpendiculairement à l'axe longitudinal de l'entretoise 240, tel que représenté par la vue de détail de la figure 4.Preferably, the sphere 244 is kept at a distance from the spacer 240 by means of a shaft 245 whose longitudinal axis extends, for example, perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the spacer 240, as shown. by the detail view of the figure 4 .

Preferably, the shaft 245 is arranged in the vicinity of the proximal end of the spacer 240. The spacer 240, the shaft 245 and the sphere 244 can be obtained in one piece, by molding.

However, alternatively, the shaft 245 may be attached to the spacer 240 by a screw / nut type assembly or by any known assembly means, and the sphere 244 may be permanently attached to the shaft 245, for example. example, by collage.

The second articulation means 31 is intended to cooperate with the first articulation means 243, so that the head 20 is able to be movable relative to the foot 30 according to at least one degree of freedom in rotation.

In other embodiments not shown in the figures, the first and second articulation means 243, 31 can form between them a mechanical link of the pivot type or a mechanical link comprising two degrees of freedom in rotation.

Preferably, the articulation system 24 allows the articulation of the head 20 relative to the foot 30 according to a mechanical connection of the ball joint type.

Preferably, the second articulation means 31 comprises a housing of complementary shape to the sphere 244, so that said sphere 244 is able to pivot in the housing along at least one axis of rotation.

The second articulation means 31 also comprises means for locking said sphere 244 in rotation. For example, the housing is provided with a clamping member capable of deforming said housing, within the limits of its elastic limit, so as to applying a clamping force on the sphere 244 sufficient to block said sphere 244 in rotation.

In a non-limiting example of an embodiment, the head is attached to the foot in a removable manner, so that it can be detached from the mast. Thus, a user can in particular use heads of different dimensions with a single foot.

As shown in figures 1 and 4 , the mast 32 is provided, at its other end, called the “lower end”, with a means 33 for fixing in the ground.

Advantageously, the fixing means 33 in the ground consists of a thread on a portion of the length of the mast 32, the cross section of which decreases towards the lower end of the mast 32. Thus, the parasol 10 can be screwed into the ground. furniture or in any suitable housing so as to achieve a screw / nut assembly.

Alternatively, the fixing means 33 can be formed by any arrangement or device known to those skilled in the art, such as the conformation of the lower end in the form of a point.

De manière avantageuse, la longueur du mât 32 peut être ajustable entre deux longueurs extrêmes minimale et maximale, respectivement représentées par les figures 1 et 4.Advantageously, the length of the mast 32 can be adjustable between two extreme minimum and maximum lengths, respectively represented by the figures 1 and 4 .

For this purpose, the mast 32 can be telescopic, so that it can be divided into at least two coaxial portions nested one inside the other and able to slide with respect to one another.

The mast 32 then comprises means for stopping the portions in translation from one another. For example, one of the portions is provided with a clamping member capable of deforming said portion so as to apply a clamping force on the other portion sufficient to block the portions in translation.

In the non-limiting example of embodiment represented by the figures 1 to 4 , the mast 32 is divided into four portions, three of which are provided with clamping members.

Alternatively, in other exemplary embodiments not shown in the figures, the portions of the mast 32 can be fixed in an articulated manner to each other, so as to be able to respectively occupy a folded position in which they are contiguous to each other, over their entire length, and an unfolded position in which they are coaxial and adjoining each other at each of their ends.

The parasol 10 can advantageously occupy a position of use, in which the support structure 21 occupies its deployed configuration, as shown in figure 1 , the canvas 22 being deployed.

In this position, the canvas 22 is deployed and is intended to project a shaded surface on the ground, when struck by rays of the sun, in order to provide shelter to a user against said rays.

The figure 3 shows the parasol 10 in the storage position, the support structure 21 occupying a second configuration, called “folded configuration” and the mast 32 being adjusted so that its length is minimal. In this folded configuration of the support structure 21, the peripheral hoop 210 and the intermediate hoop 212 are elastically deformed, in the constrained position, so as to fold the canvas 22 back on itself, as described more precisely in the following section. text.

In this position, the parasol 10 is intended to be transported or stored.

In order to modify the position of the parasol 10, from a position of use to a storage position, the user must carry out steps in order to conform the support structure 21 in the folded configuration. The figures 5 to 8 respectively represent an embodiment of the successive steps of a method for folding the head 20 according to the invention.

The figure 5 shows a first step which consists in folding a point of each longitudinal portion of the peripheral arch 210 against one another. The points are preferably chosen so that their projection orthogonal with respect to the axis of symmetry S passes through the interior area defined by the intermediate arch 212, and are preferably substantially symmetrical with respect to one another along the axis of symmetry S.

At the same time, a torsional force is applied to the peripheral arch 210 so that respective portions of the upper 221 and lower 222 faces of the fabric 22 are simultaneously visible in the same plane. Part of the head 20 is thus pivoted, substantially over one hundred and eighty degrees relative to another part of said head (20). These two parts correspond respectively to each of the upper 221 and lower 222 faces of the canvas 22. The head then takes substantially the form of a lemniscate.

It should be noted that the manipulation of the peripheral hoop by the user, during the implementation of the folding method, causes deformations of the intermediate hoop substantially similar to those undergone by the peripheral hoop.

During a second step, the two parts of the head 20 are then folded against one another, so that the portions of the upper 221 and lower 222 faces are arranged facing each other. , as represented by the figure 6 . An intermediate arrangement is thus formed, in which the peripheral hoop 210, as it is deformed following these steps, forms two rings superimposed one against the other, as does the intermediate hoop 212.

Preferably, but without limitation, the hoops 210, 211 and 212 are handled so that the intermediate hoop 212 is substantially concentric with the internal hoop 211 and that their diameter is substantially identical.

A third step consists in repeating the first and second steps carried out above, the two points to be folded against one another being two diametrically opposed points of the peripheral hoop 210, as illustrated by figure 7 . The head 20 then has the shape of a disc, the diameter of which is substantially equal to the diameter of the internal arch 211, formed by a superposition of portions of arches.

It should be noted that when the peripheral 210 and intermediate arches 212 are in the constrained position, they exert tension forces insofar as said peripheral 210 and intermediate arches 212 seek to return to their free position, that is to say say their initial, unfolded form.

The figure 8 shows a fourth step consisting in immobilizing the support structure 21 in its folded configuration resulting from the previous folding steps. Indeed, it is necessary to immobilize the peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 hoops to keep this shape. This step of immobilizing the support structure 21 is carried out by an attachment means 25 opposing the tension forces exerted by the peripheral 210 and intermediate arches 212 aiming to bring them back to the free position.

As represented by the figure 8 in a nonlimiting exemplary embodiment, the attachment means 25 comprises a strap fixed to the periphery of the head 20, intended to be placed on either side of the head 20 so that it diametrically surrounds said head 20. The strap can be fixed at one of its ends to the internal tangent point 23 of the hoops 210, 211 and 212, and can include a means for removable fixing of the strap on itself at an attachment point.

Preferably, the head 20 has reference means allowing a user to determine the position of the points of the peripheral arch 210 to be folded against one another during at least one of the steps described above.

It should be noted that the material constituting the peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 hoops, as well as their dimensions, are determined so that said hoops do not deform beyond their elastic limit during steps of folding the head 20. In this context, the deformation of these peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 hoops is always reversible.

To modify the position of the parasol 10, from a storage position to a position of use, the unfolding of the head 20 is carried out without any intervention by the user other than that consisting in releasing said support structure 21 from the means of tie 25.

Indeed, the tensile forces exerted by the peripheral 210 and intermediate 212 hoops tend to spontaneously return the support structure to the deployed configuration.

In other embodiments of the invention, the material constituting the peripheral arch 210, as well as the dimensions of its cross section and of the interior area which it defines, are such that it has a sufficiently high rigidity. to maintain the head 20 in a substantially planar shape when the support structure 21 is deployed, without an intermediate hoop 212. It is within the competence of those skilled in the art, on the basis of their general knowledge, to make such a choice of material and dimensions of the appropriate peripheral arch 210.
