- The ironing appliance according to claim 2, characterised in that the control lever (7; 107) pivots on the order of an angle between 45° and 90° to move from the unlocked position into the locked position and in that the control lever (7; 107) is advantageously arranged substantially perpendicular to the rod (81; 181) when it occupies one of the locked or unlocked positions and is arranged in alignment with the rod (81; 181) when it occupies the other position.
- The ironing appliance according to any one of claims 2 to 3, characterised in that the braking element (8) is an elastically deformable element passing from an initial shape to a modified shape under the force exerted by a part (80) integral with the rod (81) when the control lever (7) moves from the unlocked position into the locked position.
- The ironing appliance according to claim 4, characterised in that the pivot connection allowing the rotation of the coat hanger (4) on the base (1) comprises a shaft (5) pivotally mounted in a bearing (6) and in that the braking member (8) is compressed between a disc (80) and an end of the shaft (5) when the control lever (7) is in the locked position.
- The ironing appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the braking element (108) consists of a rigid flange, advantageously of frustoconical shape.
- The appliance according to claim 6, characterised in that the pivot connection allowing the rotation of the coat hanger (4) on the base (1) comprises a hollow shaft (106), pivotally mounted in a bearing (105) and in that the flange (108) is arranged in a jacket (160) attached to one end of the shaft (106).
- The appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the control member (7; 107) is arranged in a cavity (41) of the coat hanger, the cavity (41) advantageously opening on two opposite sides of the coat hanger (4).
- The appliance according to any of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the base (1) comprises a vertical mast (11), advantageously telescopic, which carries the coat hanger (4).
- The appliance according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the accessory (3) is a smoothing brush (3) or an iron.
