Definitions

  • the invention relates to a housing for connecting at least one cable strand of a cable to a connection pad of an electrical contact.
  • a housing In such a housing are usually one or more electronic components that serve to perform a variety of tasks. It can be z. B. be a measuring electronics or control electronics.
  • a cable comprising one or more cable strands or several cables are guided with corresponding cable strands in the housing, and are there with corresponding connection pads, for example, on a board, which carries corresponding electronic components, connected.
  • the connection which is usually done by manual soldering, however, is relatively difficult in known housings.
  • the cable strand must be passed through a corresponding hole in the board, which is provided on the connection pad, so be pushed through, after which it is first soldered.
  • additional components for cable positioning and guidance such as a spout or an additional plastic part such as a plug or the like, to guide the cable or the strand according to the connection pad.
  • the EP 1 039 606 A2 discloses a device for electrically conductive connection of at least two electrical devices. A cable is inserted into a recess open towards the edge of the housing or clamped between projections in order to support it.
  • the stripped cable strands of the cable are fed from above back into the housing and pressed by a guide through through holes by a resilient strap against an electrical contact to support the corresponding strand and contact.
  • the WO 2015/005982 A1 discloses a printed circuit board with side recesses and adjoining contact pads. A cable strand can be brought here laterally to the circuit board, to thread them into a through hole and to solder there.
  • the DE 10 2014 201 331 A1 discloses an arrangement for connecting electrical assemblies.
  • a frame-shaped holder for cables is used, which has a passage opening for the strand of the respective cable.
  • the holder of the cable can be done by guide means on this bracket alone or in addition by arranged on a bracket housing guide channels.
  • the DE 10 2014 209 282 A1 discloses an electrical circuit arrangement with positioning aid for cable strands.
  • a mold housing is used, which encloses a printed circuit board at least partially. Through a recess in the mold housing a contacting region of the circuit board is exposed. By a wall element cables are held, the cable strand is guided by a provided in the mold housing positioning aid.
  • the invention is based on the problem of providing a comparison with this prior art improved housing that allows easier connection of a cable strand.
  • a housing for connecting at least one cable strand of a cable to a connection pad of an electrical contact wherein a holder with at least one holding section for fixing the cable supplied from outside the housing is provided on a housing component having a bottom and side walls, which is arranged in the region of a side wall of the housing part, a holding section adjacent arranged and upwardly open cable guide in which the cable strand is receivable or received, and a directly adjacent to the cable guide connection pad to which the cable strand is connected or connectable via a connection connection , wherein the connection pad is provided on a printed circuit board which has an edge recess for receiving the cable strand at the connection pad, wherein the cable guide is open towards the holder, wherein the holding section as a C-shaped and the Jardinf Guidance out open cable clamp is formed.
  • the housing according to the invention allows for easy connection of a cable strand.
  • the supplied from outside the housing cable usually consisting of an outer insulation in which one or more cable strands are embedded, is attached with its outer insulation in the holding portion of the holder, which is provided on the housing side wall, for example clipped.
  • From the cable runs the cable strand, which means that the outer insulation is removed.
  • Assigned to the holding section positioned slightly spaced from it is a cable guide.
  • This cable guide is on the one hand to the holder, on the other hand, open at the top, immediately adjacent to a terminal pad is positioned.
  • the cable strand can now be introduced without difficulty into the cable guide which is open towards the holder and upwards; it can be inserted into the cable guide without effort from above.
  • connection pad Since the cable guide is immediately adjacent the connection pad, there is the stripped cable strand, so the part of the cable strand to be connected directly with introduction into the cable guide in its connection position on the connection pad, so is on this.
  • the connection pad is thus immediately adjacent and, seen in the longitudinal direction of the cable strand, almost behind the cable guide.
  • the cable guide preferably has two guide sections receiving the cable strand between them, that is to say two web-like guide sections, so that a channel open towards the holder and upwards, in which the cable strand is inserted from above, is formed.
  • the guide sections are preferably substantially vertical to the bottom of the housing part, so almost parallel to the opposite side wall to which the cable is fixed to the bracket. It is obvious that the cable strand must be bent inevitably by an angle> 90 ° and is guided to the connection pad after the cable is guided vertically in the mounting position in the direction of the ground and the cable strand then along the ground and back again slightly bent up into the cable guide and running to the connection pad. This results in the already described slight bias with which the cable strand rests securely on the connection pad.
  • connection pad itself is preferably provided on a printed circuit board which has an edge recess for receiving the cable strand on the connection pad.
  • This edge recess which is, for example, C-shaped, is open towards the cable guide, thus closing against the channel formed via the cable guide.
  • the cable strand is accommodated in this open, C-shaped recess, and fixed, which further simplifies the subsequent soldering process, since the solder joint can be obtained in this strand region engaging in the edge recess, where there is a very good connection to the connection pad, ie the contact metallization , lets reach.
  • the support portion to which the cable is fixed in the region of the side wall, according to the invention is designed as a C-shaped and cable guide open towards the cable clamp, which allows a simple clipping or pushing the cable.
  • the cable clamp can be designed as a three-point clamp in which the cable is fixed.
  • the cable in the assembly position, preferably runs essentially perpendicular to the ground through the holding section, after which the cable strand is inclined at an angle > 90 ° bent over for cable routing.
  • This offers the advantage of self-supporting positioning of the cable strand on the connection pad, as already described above.
  • the holder may have a plurality of holding sections for fixing a plurality of cables, wherein each holding section is associated with at least one cable guide adjacent.
  • each holding section is associated with at least one cable guide adjacent.
  • one or more holding sections may also be arranged adjacent to a plurality of guide sections for receiving one cable strand each.
  • a cable can also comprise a plurality of cable strands which are to be contacted.
  • Each individual strand is accommodated in accordance with this embodiment of the invention in a separate guide section assigned to the holding section and guided to a corresponding connection pad. Again, the installation is very simple, since the individual cable strands only need to be inserted in the forward for mounting and upwards open cable guides.
  • the holder itself may be a separate component, for example made of plastic, which is fastened to the housing part via a clamping, latching, adhesive or welded connection.
  • the holder a simple plastic injection-molded component, be latched or clamped in corresponding latching receptacles on the housing component, which greatly simplifies the assembly. Gluing over a suitable adhesive bond is conceivable, as well as when using correspondingly similar materials of support and plastic component a welded joint, so either a plastic or a metal weld.
  • the pad or pads are arranged as described on a circuit board.
  • a particularly expedient development of the invention also provides for arranging the cable guide on the circuit board having the connection pad or pads, so that the cable guide is simultaneously mounted and correctly positioned with the assembly of the circuit board.
  • the arrangement of the cable guide to the circuit board is particularly useful because it is as described immediately adjacent to the connection pad and must necessarily be aligned correctly relative to the connection pad, so that by inserting the cable strand in the cable guide and the cable strand is automatically applied to the connection pad.
  • the cable guide can for this purpose be formed integrally with the circuit board, which is readily possible, since the circuit board itself is usually a component based on plastic, that is, consists of a synthetic resin matrix. It is readily possible to form the corresponding geometry of the cable guide in the manufacture of the circuit board, so when pressing.
  • the cable guide is a separate component, for example also made of plastic, which is connected via a clamping, latching, adhesive or welded connection to the circuit board. It is also conceivable here arguestecken the edge of the cable running as a simple plastic injection molded cable management component or on the circuit board, so that a secure fixation is given.
  • the cable guide component comprising a plurality of individual cable guides or elongated guide sections is designed quasi in the manner of a "rake", wherein the guide portions are all arranged on a common connecting web, from where they protrude.
  • the housing part can be closed or closed by means of a cover part, or that the side walls terminate above the plane of the connection pad or pads, in particular the circuit board, and the housing part can be cast or cast with a potting compound.
  • the housing is in two parts, it can be closed by means of a separate cover part to be exposed on the housing part and firmly connected to it.
  • the side walls can also be pulled up so high and above the plane of the connection pads or the printed circuit board that the housing part can be potted with a potting compound.
  • all components relevant to cable handling are provided on the housing part on a side wall or bottom side, respectively. The cable handling and the PCB fixing takes place solely on this housing part. Therefore, it is easily possible to shed the housing part after connecting the cable or cables.
  • Fig. 1 shows a partial view of a housing 1 according to the invention, comprising a shown lower housing part 2 and an unspecified upper housing part 2, which are placed on each other for enclosing the housing interior.
  • the connection of the two housing parts may be such that a sealed connection results, thus the housing is sealed against the ingress of moisture, but this is not mandatory. This depends on the electronics installed on the housing side and the intended use or location.
  • the housing part 2 comprises a bottom 3 and a plurality of side walls 4, two of which are shown in the example shown. Attached to the base 3 or attached there is a printed circuit board 5 having a plurality of individual connection pads 6, that is, contact metallization sections to which a cable strand of a cable supplied from the outside is to be connected.
  • a cable 7, which leads in the example shown, a cable strand 8, which is to be attached to a connection pad 6 and to be soldered thereto.
  • a holder 9 which has a plurality of C-shaped holding portions 10, which are open to the housing interior.
  • Each C-shaped holding portion is designed as a three-point holder, that is, the cable 7 rests with its outer insulation at three points 11 and is fixed in the holding portion 10 by clamping.
  • Fig. 3 shows, the cable 7, which is fixed by a corresponding clamping portion 12 at the upper edge of the side wall 4, bent over virtually 90 ° along the side wall 4 down, from where the cable strand 8 continues to run.
  • the holder 9 is fixed, for example via suitable locking elements 13 at corresponding latching portions 14 on the side wall 4.
  • the holder 9 is, for example, a simple plastic injection-molded part, so that the corresponding latching sections 13 can be readily formed. Also, the assembly is easy because the holder 9 is only to be engaged in the locking portions 14.
  • each terminal pad 6 is a cable guide 15 assigned.
  • Each cable guide 15 is, see Fig. 1 , of two elongated guide portions 16, which extend substantially vertically to the bottom 3.
  • the web-like guide portions 16 receive the cable strand 8 between them, as in FIG Fig. 2 is clearly visible. Two adjacent guide sections each form a cable guide.
  • the cable guides 15 are open to the C-shaped holding portions 10, they are also open at the top, that is, the cable strand 8 can be inserted from above between the two guide portions.
  • This insertion is very easy, because, see Fig. 3 , the cable strand 8 is inevitably umzubiegen by more than 90 °.
  • a restoring force of the cable strand 8 having a certain stiffness is formed, which makes it possible to "snap in" the cable strand 8 manually between two guide sections 16, the cable strand 8 springs itself quasi between the guide sections.
  • the guide portions 16 are preferably formed directly on the circuit board 5, that is designed in one piece with this.
  • the guide portions 16 may also be part of a separate, one-piece plastic component, they are then connected to each other via a common connecting web, from which connecting web they protrude. Overall, the arrangement of the guide sections forms a kind of "rake".
  • Fig. 2 shows, the respective terminal pad 6 is immediately adjacent to the respective cable guide 15, ie immediately adjacent to the space between two guide sections.
  • Each terminal pad 6 has, formed on the board 5, a substantially C-shaped edge recess 17.
  • the cable strand 8 engages with the stripped strand section 18 a.
  • the connection pad 6, that is to say the metal contact extends directly to the edge recess 17, consequently the strand section 18 is already positioned exactly relative to the connection pad 6 and is already in contact therewith. It is then readily possible to produce the corresponding solder joint in the region of the edge recess 17 and the contact between the strand section 18 and the connection pad 6.
  • a holding portion 10 usually two or more cable guides 15 associated with, as well as a corresponding number of connection pads. This is because often a cable 7 several separate cable leads 8 leads, which are to be contacted separately.
  • the specific layout of the printed circuit board 5 and the connection pads 6 and thus also the cable guides 15 and the plurality of elongated, web-like guide portions 16 depends on the assembled electronics and the number of cables to be supplied 7 respectively 8 strands.
  • FIG. 4 shows a further embodiment of a housing according to the invention 1.
  • This comprises only a housing part 2 with bottom 3 and four side walls 4, wherein on a side wall 4, the holding geometries for fixing one or more cables, as in the in the Fig. 1-3 described example, are provided.
  • Shown is a printed circuit board 5, which is fixed on a suitable holder 19, and by way of example a cable 7 together with cable strand 8, which is contacted on the circuit board 5.
  • the side walls 4 terminate above the plane of the printed circuit board 5, the cable also runs above it and then dives into the interior.
  • the housing part 2 can be cast here with a potting compound 20, in which all the components located in the housing part 2 are embedded. A lid is not provided here.
