Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The present invention relates to the field of portable electric lamps and in particular a headlamp with a rigid or semi-rigid headband.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

Headlamps, originally used by minors, are experiencing a great development especially in the field of recreation, including caving and hiking.

They are also widely used in the professional field and are intended to find many new applications.

As recalled by figure 1 illustrating a conventional headlamp, a lamp 10 is, most often, associated with an elastic headband 11 for holding the lamp on the head of the user with maximum comfort.

Such a lamp, however, has the disadvantage of being unsuited to serve as a light source in circumstances other than those for which it was originally designed. In particular, when the user bivouacs and shares his meal with another user, the use of the headlamp 10 is inappropriate because it may illuminate, and even dazzle, the guest who shares his meal with the user.

In a situation, which is only one example among others, the headlamp does not allow a use as practical and user-friendly as it could allow.

The present invention aims to remedy this situation.

The document US 2007/177376 discloses a portable lamp carried around the neck and having a pivot axis for a rotation of the lamp between a first and a second amplitude.

Exposé de l'inventionPresentation of the invention

The present invention aims to provide a headlamp with improved ergonomics ...

Another object of the present invention is to provide a headlamp for practical use in "chokers" offering a second mode of use particularly convenient in other situations than the conventional situations of headlamps.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a headlamp for easy adjustment of the light beam for various uses, especially when used in the neck, or when the lamp is simply attached to a support, such as a tree branch.

  • une première amplitude d'au moins 0 à +30 degrés, et de préférence 0 à 45 degrés, pour assurer un éclairage approprié lorsque la lampe est portée de manière conventionnelle autour de la tête ;
  • une seconde amplitude allant d'au moins 0 à -45° degrés, et de préférence 0 à -80 degrés, pour assurer un éclairage approprié lorsque la lampe est portée autour du cou sans être renversée ;
The invention achieves these goals by means of a headlamp comprising a lamp and a headband for holding the headlamp on the head of a user, the headband having a rigid / semi-rigid front portion serving as a support for a lamp. The lamp is provided with at least one pivot for pivoting on said front portion of said strip, and configured to allow rotation having:
  • a first amplitude of at least 0 to + 30 degrees, and preferably 0 to 45 degrees, to provide adequate illumination when the lamp is conventionally carried around the head;
  • a second amplitude ranging from at least 0 to -45 ° degrees, and preferably 0 to -80 degrees, to provide adequate illumination when the lamp is worn around the neck without being overturned;
with the inclination 0 ° corresponding to the pivot of the lamp generating a horizontal light beam when the headlamp is positioned on the head of a user standing, eyes staring at the horizon.

In a particular embodiment, the strip comprises a front portion more or less rigid or semi-rigid and a rear portion made with an elastic textile strip, the connection between the front portion and the rear portion being provided by two pieces of links comprising orifices for the passage of electrical conductors. The electrical conductors are advantageously integrated, in the front, in the rigid / semi-rigid front part of the headband, so that they only "come out" at the level of the elastic textile headband.

In a particular embodiment, the lamp can be worn around the neck, so that the amplitude of the pivot of [- 45 °, + 30 °] and preferably [- 80 °, + 45 °] allows adjust the light beam to a large extent, allowing horizontal illumination, but also downward.

In a particular embodiment, the headlamp has a rigid / semi-rigid headband having, at the rear, a battery for the power supply of the lamp.

Preferably, the rigid / semi-rigid strip comprises a hollow tube allowing the passage of a plurality of conductors for the power supply of the headlamp.

In a particular embodiment, the rigid / semi-rigid strip has, at the rear, a bright rear light.

Preferably, the headlamp has a rigid / semi-rigid headband of fixed and deformable length, and comprises fixing points for a clamping elastic. The rigid / semi-rigid strip being configured to be deformable by the elastic clamping.

Description d'un mode de réalisation préféréDescription of a preferred embodiment

An improved headlamp is now described in that it allows new and particularly convenient uses, particularly around the neck or when it is hooked to a support, such as a tree branch.

The figure 2 illustrates a first embodiment of a headlamp according to the present invention. The headlamp has a lamp 20 having a light source which is fixed on a strip for holding the headlamp on the head of a user. The banner of the figure 2 is of mixed nature, having a rigid / semi-rigid front portion 30 serving as a support for the lamp 20 and a rear portion which may be, in a conventional manner, made of an elastic textile 40. The rigid / semi-rigid front part rigid has a pre-curved shape flexible enough to adapt to different shapes of heads, two pivots, respectively 21 and 22, are arranged on the front portion of the strip to allow a pivot connection of a large pivoting novelty of the lamp 20 with respect to the rigid / semi-rigid front part 30.

More specifically, it is considered the headband of the lamp 20 positioned conventionally on the head of a user standing, the eyes fixed towards the horizon and generating a horizontal beam serving as a reference to an inclination of the lamp (inclination = 0 °),

In one embodiment of the invention, the lamp is configured with a pivot connection of at least [- 45 °, + 30 °] at least and preferably [- 80 °, + 45 °] corresponding to a total amplitude of 125 °.

Thanks to this unique arrangement, when the headlamp is positioned on the head of a user, a rotation of [0, + 30 °] allows appropriate adjustment of the light beam. It should be noted that in this position the amplitude [-45 °, 0 °] would not be usable in this circumstance because the lamp would tend to "abut" against the front of the user.

On the other hand, and this is a considerable advantage of the present invention, the headlamp can now be directly positioned, without being "turned upside down", in "choker", while ensuring a proper adjustment of the beam luminous thanks to the amplitude [-45 °, 0 °] at least, as illustrated in figure 3 .

  • En premier lieu, un pivot de [- 45°, + 30°] permet alors de venir régler le faisceau lumineux dans une large gamme d'utilisation, en lampe frontale ou en « tour de cou » . Dans l'une ou l'autre configuration, l'utilisateur pour ajuster le faisceau lumineux pour qu'il éclaire vers le bas ou, au contraire pour qu'il éclaire à l'horizontal. La lampe devient ainsi utilisable dans deux configurations alternatives, voire d'autres puisque la même facilité de réglage devient possible lorsque la lampe frontale est accrochée à un support ;
Thanks to this particularly timely arrangement, we obtain two particularly fruitful technical effects:
  • In the first place, a pivot of [- 45 °, + 30 °] makes it possible to adjust the light beam in a wide range of use, as a headlamp or as a "choker". In one or the other configuration, the user to adjust the light beam so that it lights down or, on the contrary so that it lights up horizontally. The lamp thus becomes usable in two alternative configurations, and even others since the same ease of adjustment becomes possible when the headlamp is hooked to a support;
  • Secondly, the pivot being fixed on a front portion of a strip which is relatively rigid / semi-rigid, as shown in FIG. figure 2 , it follows a great stability of the lamp in the configuration "choker" which can then be adjusted accurately and easily according to the needs of the user.

As can be seen, the combination of the two means of the invention, a pivot of a large amplitude, of at least [- 45 °, + 30 °] on a rigid / semi-rigid support, gives the headlamp new possibilities of use.

In a particular embodiment, the lamp comprises a battery fixed in a conventional manner at the rear of the strip, at the level of the elastic textile. Preferably, the rigid / semi-rigid portion of the strip will be excavated so as to allow insertion of electrical conductors within the rigid / semi-rigid front part 30 of the strip. Two connecting elements, respectively 41 and 42 shown in the figure, then allow the connection between the front portion 30 and the elastic textile 40. These two connecting elements allow, moreover the output of the electrical conductors out of the rigid / semi-rigid part. rigid, which can then take the form of any spiral conductor connected via a suitable connector to the battery located at the rear of the lamp (and not shown).

In other embodiments, such as those which will be described in more detail now, and which are illustrated in the following figures, the headband of the headlamp may advantageously be a completely rigid / semi-rigid headband.

The figure 4 illustrates a right view of a dummy wearing, around its neck, a second embodiment of a headlamp having a rigid / semi-rigid headband according to the present invention, wherein the lamp is shown in FIG. two distinct pivot positions.

The figure 5 illustrates a left view of a dummy wearing, around its neck, an embodiment of a headlamp according to the present invention.

The figure 6a illustrates a second embodiment of a rigid / semi-rigid headband 50 of a headlamp having a "back" which descends before crossing the median sagittal plane. More specifically, the strip comprises a front portion which is rigid / semi-rigid, allowing the attachment of a lamp via a pivot connection, and which is located approximately in a horizontal plane (x, y) corresponding to a transverse plane of the wearer. of the lamp. As a first approximation, the radius of curvature R1 of the curve 51, which lies in the plane (x, y), is represented.

En arrière de la partie avant - vers la droite dans la figure 5 - on voit que le bandeau 50 suit ensuite une courbe latérale qui s'inscrit approximativement dans un plan vertical (x, z) parallèle au plan sagittal de l'utilisateur et, à nouveau, on a représenté l'approximation du rayon de courbure R2.Behind the front - to the right in the figure 5 - It is seen that the strip 50 then follows a lateral curve which is approximately in a vertical plane (x, z) parallel to the sagittal plane of the user and, again, there is shown the approximation of the radius of curvature R2 .

At the rear of the headband, the headband 50 follows a rear curve which is approximately in a plane (y, z) corresponding to the front plane with respect to the user of the lamp and the approximation of a radius of "curvature" equal to R3 ...

Par conséquent la plan sagittal médian sert de plan de symétrie et la partie en pointillé correspondant à la partie du bandeau située « derrière » le plan sagittal médian (x, z).Consequently, the median sagittal plane serves as a plane of symmetry and the dashed portion corresponds to the part of the strip located "behind" the median sagittal plane (x, z).

It can be seen that the rear portion of the rigid / semi-rigid headband 50 "now" descends before meeting the median sagittal plane. This is only an example of embodiment, in no way limiting a completely rigid / semi-rigid headband.

Le bandeau 50 comporte donc :

  • une partie avant rigide/semi-rigide permettant la fixation d'une lampe 101 et offrant une certaine déformabilité suivant un premier plan (x, y) qui est approximativement un plan transversal ;
  • une partie latérale intermédiaire rigide/semi-rigide permettant une certaine déformabilité suivant approximativement un second plan (x, z) qui est un plan sagittal ;
The strip 50 therefore comprises:
  • a rigid / semi-rigid front portion for fixing a lamp 101 and providing a certain deformability along a first plane (x, y) which is approximately a transverse plane;
  • a rigid / semi-rigid intermediate side portion allowing a certain deformability along approximately a second (x, z) plane which is a sagittal plane;
  • a rigid / semi-rigid rear portion providing a certain deformability along approximately a third plane (y, z) which is a frontal plane.

Thus, thanks to this advantageous arrangement, a three-dimensional shape which is deformable, according to any one of the above planes, is obtained while preserving a constant length for the strip 50.

In a particular embodiment, the strip 50 comprises an alternation of rigid / semi-rigid (deformable) elements. The rigid elements are illustrated in clear in the figure while the semi-rigid elements (deformable) are represented in dark. As we see, the band 50 of the figure 6a has a left branch with a front part 51 semi-rigid deformable (dark) then, from left to right:
  • a lateral part 56 rigid (clear),
  • a lateral portion 54 semi-rigid (dark),
  • a lateral part 57 rigid (clear),
  • a lateral part 52 semi-rigid (dark),
  • a rigid lateral portion 58 (clear),
  • a rear part 53 semi-rigid (dark).

As seen in this specific embodiment, the front portion 51, the lateral portions 54 and 52, and the rear portion 53 which are all semi-rigid, allow the deformation of the constant length band in the three planes (x, y), (x, z) and (y, z). Thus provoking the variability of the radii of curvature R1, R2 and R3 allowing the attachment of the strip 50 to a head of any size, as can be seen in the illustration of FIG. figure 6b .

We also see in the figure 6b that the strip 50 comprises rigid elements allowing the attachment and the passage of an elastic, respectively 150 and 151, to ensure the clamping to constrain the deformation of the rigid / semi-rigid strip along the three planes, reducing the radii of curvatures R1-R3, as shown in the diagram of the figure 6a .

The figures 7 and 8 illustrate the detail of a concrete embodiment of a rigid / semi-rigid strip according to the second embodiment. The headband has an alternation of rigid elements, represented in clear on the figures 7 and 8 , and more flexible elements that are represented in dark.

In a particular embodiment, the elements may be made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) or polyamide, polyester, PVC with grades chosen to allow the realization of a rigid / semi-rigid structure providing a stable structure (allowing even the positioning the band on a table) while being sufficiently deformable by means of an elastic 150. In practice, the more rigid elements will present a grade included in the range [_, 73SHD] while the more flexible elements (semi-rigid) will have a grade in the [_, 70SHA] range.

With reference to the figure 7 which more specifically shows a left view of the strip, it comprises a semi-rigid front portion 100 on which will be fixed, via a pivot connection, a lamp 101 having one or more LED (s) associated with its circuit electronic. The front part can be extruded. Preferably, the lamp 101 comprises a plurality of LEDs of average power, and their associated optics. As a result, the lamp will assume a relatively flat shape, with a large heat dissipation surface, which will allow the LEDs to be placed directly on a printed circuit serving as a radiator. This will result in a lamp 101 particularly compact.

Alternativement l'élément 116 pourra devenir semi-rigide (foncé) pour s'adapter sur le plan xy.The strip further comprises a rear portion 116 rigid (clear) forming a rear portion of the strip. Alternatively the element 116 may become semi-rigid (dark) to fit on the xy plane.

The strip 20 comprises, on its left-hand branch, a first rigid element 111 (of greater rigidity than the semi-rigid element 100) having a first lower end fixed to a first end of the front part 100, as well as a second upper end attached to a second element 112 semi-rigid (dark, so more flexible). The rigid element 111 comprises, respectively, its two lower and upper ends, two passage members 111a and 111b for a first clamping elastic 150.

The second semi-rigid element 112 has a first end attached to the second end of the first element 111 and a second end attached to a first end of a third rigid element 113 serving as a point of passage of the elastic 150 coming from the element 111b of the left branch.

The strip then comprises a fourth flexible element (semi-rigid) 114 having a first upper end attached to a second end of the third member 113 and a second end attached to a fifth rigid member 115 for fixing the first elastic member 150 from crossing point 111a.

Note that according to the embodiment considered, the rear portion 116 may be rigid or semi-rigid so that the elements 115 and 116 may be of manufacture or not. When the rear portion 116 is semi-rigid (dark), then the fifth rigid member 115 will be distinct from the latter. On the contrary, if the rear portion 116 is rigid, the elements 115 and 116 may be identical.

The left branch of the strip is finally attached to a first end of the rear portion 116 via a second end of the rigid element 115.

The figure 8 illustrates the detail of the right branch of the band which is, as we see, perfectly symmetrical with respect to the right branch. It can be seen that the straight branch comprises a sixth rigid element 121 having a first lower end attached to a second end of the front portion 100 and a second upper end attached to a first end of a seventh flexible element (semi-rigid 122. The rigid element 121 has, respectively at its two lower and upper ends, two passage elements 121a and 121b for a second clamping elastic 151.

The flexible element 122 has a first end attached to the element 121 and a second end attached to an eighth rigid element 123 serving as a point passage of the elastic 151 from the element 121b of the left branch.

The strip then comprises a ninth flexible (semi-rigid) element 124 having a first upper end attached to a second end of the element 123 and a second lower end attached to a first end of a tenth rigid element 125 and allowing attachment of the second elastic 151 from the passage point 121a.

The right branch of the strip is finally attached to the rear (semi-rigid) element 116 which forms the rear of the rigid / semi-rigid strip via a second end of the rigid element 125.

The figure 9a illustrates the detail of the rigid element 121 comprising, at its two ends 121a and 121b, the passage points of the elastic 151 allowing the stress on the radius of curvature R2 and, consequently, the deformation of the strip in the sagittal plane (x, z)
The figure 9b illustrates an example of a lamp 101 fixed on the semi-rigid front part of the strip, and this by means of a pivot having a large amplitude - equal to at least [- 45 °, + 30 °] - on a rigid element at the front of the headband. This pivot function of large amplitude allows, as discussed below, a possibility of additional adjustment of the headlamp when it is used in "neck". More specifically, the pivot of the headlamp is advantageously configured to allow a rotation of about 90 °, which allows a better adaptability to the morphology of the wearer and thus improves comfort. This rotation also makes it possible to considerably increase the balance of the lamp when it is placed on a table for example.

In a particular embodiment, the strip illustrated in the figures 7 and 8 comprises, at the rear, a battery 130 for supplying power to the lamp 101. Preferably, the battery comprises, on the top, a through hole for the elastics 150 and 151 with a locking button 140 . The figure 10 illustrates a rear view of the strip clearly showing the battery 130, the passage hole of the elastics 150 and 151 and the locking button 140. In the diagram of the figure 10 it is found that the rear portion 116 is made of rigid material such as the element 116, so that the two elements 115 and 116 are made from the same manufacturing process. But this is only a particular embodiment because, once again, the element 116 may be, optionally, semi-rigid material.

As can be seen, the band forms an overall structure, consisting of an alternation of rigid and semi-rigid elements, which is relatively stable since it can be placed on a table in the manner of any object. In this way, the headlamp can be used as a table lamp. Furthermore, the flexibility of the flexible elements allows a deformability of the strip in the space which is achieved by the tightening of the elastics 150 and 151 and their blocking at the blocking button 140 located on the top of the battery which, also, can rotate backwards as needed.

Thus, a headband presenting a new aesthetic, a new and original look, which is likely to meet new categories of consumers, potentially put off by the "tool" aspect of traditional headlamps.

In addition, this rigid / semi-rigid band of a new type offers many new features, as we will see now.

In a particular embodiment, the left and / or right branches of the strip are hollow and their constant length makes it possible to integrate a plurality of electrical conductors and / or optical fibers therein, thus eliminating, in a particularly elegant manner and functional, electrical son that is known in conventional headlamps with an elastic band non-constant length. The space will be sufficient to integrate, within the rigid / flexible elements, power conductors and control conductors which will be particularly well protected there.

In a particular embodiment, the strip comprises a rear light for signaling the lamp holder. This rear light can be achieved by means of a secondary lamp attached to the battery 130 or, alternatively, by deporting a fraction of the light created by the lamp 101 through one or more optical fibers. It can thus advantageously deport light from the front to the back. Conversely, it is also possible to combine a light source in the rear housing (red) with a set of optical fibers to move forward or to the side a fraction of the light (red) generated by the rear housing.

In a particular embodiment, the front portion 100 or rigid branches 111 and 121 are equipped with switches for controlling the functionality of the lamp, which certainly did not offer the conventional strips. Alternatively and / or cumulatively one or more displays can be provided to achieve a man-machine ergonomics (HMI) advantageous.

In another particular embodiment, the left and right branches of the strip are designed to be illuminated so as to allow effective lateral signaling of the lamp holder.

Claims (9)

  1. A headlamp comprising:
    - a lamp (20);
    - a band (30, 40) for holding said lamp (20) on the head of a user, said band (30, 40) having a front portion (30) rigid/semi-rigid flexible enough to adapt to different head shapes for supporting said lamp (20); wherein said lamp (20) is attached to said front portion (30) via a pivot connection (21, 22) allowing rotation with a first amplitude and a second amplitude;
    characterized in that said connexion (21, 22) is configured to allow a rotation having:
    - a first amplitude of at least 0 to + 30 degrees, and preferably 0 to 45 degrees, to provide adequate illumination when the lamp is conventionally carried around the head ;
    - a second amplitude ranging from at least 0 to -45 degrees, and preferably 0 to -80 degrees, to provide adequate illumination when the lamp is carried around the neck without being reversed,
    wherein the "0 degree" inclination corresponding to the pivot of the lamp when the latter generates a horizontal light beam when the headlamp is positioned on the head of a standing user, the eyes fixing the horizon
    wherein said second amplitude of at least 0 to - 45 degrees is unusable when the headlamp is positioned on the head because it tends to abut the lamp against the front of the user but allows the adjustment of the light beam when the lamp is positioned around the neck.
  2. The headlamp according to claim 1 characterized in that the headband (30, 40) comprises a rigid/semi-rigid front portion (30) which has a flexible pre-bent shape adaptable to different head shapes, and a rear portion (40) made with an elastic textile headband, the connection between the front portion and the rear portion being provided by two connecting pieces having orifices for the passage of electrical conductors, said electrical conductors being integrated, in the front, in the rigid/semi-rigid front part of the band, in which the flexible pre-bent portion provides stability to the lamp when worn around the neck.
  3. The headlamp according to claim 1 characterized in that the headband (30, 40) comprises an alternation of rigid/semi-rigid elements conferring sufficient rigidity to the lamp when it is worn in "round neck", said pivot connection being configured to allow a adjustment of the light beam in various positions ..
  4. The headlamp according to Claim 1, characterized in that the pivot makes it possible to adjust the light beam of the lamp for horizontal illumination, but also downwards when the lamp is worn around the neck.
  5. The headlamp according to claim 1 characterized in that the rigid/semi-rigid headband (30, 40) has, at the rear, a battery for the electrical power supply of the lamp.
