Description

The field of the invention is that of the design and manufacture of sanitary equipment. More specifically, the invention relates to a flushing mechanism intended to be mounted on a toilet water tank, of the type comprising means for actuating the flushing mechanism in the form of at least one pushbutton.

In the field of the invention, it is known to provide flushing mechanisms comprising a frame mounted in the toilet water tank, this frame comprising a means for closing a hole in a lower wall. (Bottom) of the tank and through which the water tank can be discharged, these shutter means being connected by a transmission mechanism to actuating means accessible from outside the tank by a user.

According to a rather old approach, these actuating means may be constituted by a pull tab, that is to say by a gripping means at the end of a rod intended to be pulled upwards to cause the evacuation water from the tank. Thus, clearly, by moving the pull tab up, it also causes upward movement of the closing means of the flush and, conversely, by releasing the pull tab, the latter, and the shutter means move. downwards until the closure means resume their closed position of the orifice formed in the bottom wall of the tank.

Such a solution is particularly reliable. However, there is an element that protrudes outside the tank and must be pulled completely to trigger a complete flush.

According to a more recent approach, however, which is already widely used, the actuating means consist of a push button (or two push buttons, one to release a "big hunt" and the other to release a "small hunt"") Presented on a top wall (in practice the lid) of the tank, so that the user must push the push button to the inside of the tank to cause a flush. Of course, in this case, it is necessary to implement a system that reverses the stroke of the push button at the closure means, so that a downward movement of the push button or buttons result in a upward movement of the shutter means, while an upward movement of the push button or buttons results in a downward movement of the shutter means.

To achieve this, a lever-operated reversing system is mounted inside the tank, this lever being pivotally mounted about an axis carried either by the frame of the flush mechanism mounted inside the tank, or by the wall of the tank itself. One end of the lever is connected by a connecting rod to the push button, while the other end of the lever (opposite the first end relative to the pivot axis) is connected to the closure means.

Such mechanisms are generally satisfactory and relatively reliable.

According to a common drawback of the pull-type and push-button actuation means, it has been found that improper handling can lead to undesirable water losses. For example, children can play with a push button by pushing it slightly so that a trickle of water flows. In this case, the tank fills up at the same time as water is wasted.

According to a disadvantage specific to the actuating means of the push button type, the setting of the flush mechanism may be more complex than that of mechanisms using actuating means constituted by a pull tab. Indeed, while with a zipper there is a ratio of 1 between the race of the zipper and the stroke of the closing means of the hunt, a mechanism using a button pusher and a toggle lever system generally involves a ratio of about 3 between the stroke of the push button and the stroke of the closure means. This increase in the ratio requires a person performing the assembly of the hunting mechanism to precisely refine the adjustment of the mechanism.

According to another disadvantage that may result from this maladjustment or the manner in which the push button is actuated, it may be noted that the volume of water displaced may not be constant.

The problem of the volume of water stored in the tank is particularly important because strict regulations can set thresholds to be respected. As a result, the flush mechanisms must be particularly reliable in this regard.

The invention particularly aims to overcome these disadvantages of the prior art.

More specifically, the object of the invention is to propose a flush mechanism of the push-button type that makes it possible to avoid or at least limit the risk of wasting water as a result of unwanted manipulations of the push button. .

The invention also aims to provide such a flushing mechanism that is reliable over time, both in its operation as in its ability to store a predetermined volume of water, and in particular in comparison with the proposed solutions by the prior art.

The invention also aims to provide such a flush mechanism that is easy to install and in particular to adjust during said installation.

  • au moins un bouton poussoir destiné à être présenté sur le réservoir, mobile entre une position de repos et au moins une position enfoncée, le bouton poussoir comportant des moyens de rappel en position de repos ;
  • un bâti destiné à être monté à l'intérieur du réservoir et comprenant des moyens d'obturation mobiles entre une position d'obturation et au moins une position de libération d'un orifice de passage d'eau ménagé dans une paroi du réservoir ;
  • un mécanisme de transmission entre le ou les boutons poussoirs et les moyens d'obturation ;
These objectives, as well as others that will appear later are achieved through the invention which relates to a flush mechanism for mounting in a toilet water tank, comprising:
  • at least one push button intended to be presented on the reservoir, movable between a rest position and at least one depressed position, the push button comprising return means in the rest position;
  • a frame intended to be mounted inside the tank and comprising closing means movable between a closed position and at least one release position of a water passage orifice formed in a wall of the tank;
  • a transmission mechanism between the one or more pushbuttons and the shutter means;
characterized in that the push button is free in translation with respect to the transmission mechanism, from the rest position to at least one predetermined depressed transient coupling position with the transmission mechanism in which the push button and the mechanism transmission are integral in translation, the passage of the push button from a predetermined transient coupling transient position to the rest position causing the passage of the shutter means from the closed position to a release position.

The flushing mechanism according to the invention makes it possible to avoid waste of water following undesired manipulations of the push button.

Indeed, thanks to its design, a flush can be triggered only from the moment the push button has been pressed to its or one of its predetermined transient coupling positions. Consequently, if the button is accidentally depressed, or pressed in an incomplete manner, without the predetermined transient coupling position (s) being reached, then the sealing means remain in the closed position and the water stored in the reservoir is not wasted.

In a complementary manner, the passage of the shutter means from the shutter position to a release position results from the passage of the push button from a predetermined transient coupling position to the rest position. As a result, the passage of the closure means from the closed position to a release position results from the action of the return means in the rest position of the push button. This design makes it possible to control the force that is exerted to move the sealing means from their closed position to one of their release position. As a result, the reliability of the mechanism over time is improved.

Also, thanks to the direct action of the mechanism (opening of the shutter means through the raising of the push button) and unlike a mechanism employing a toggle lever system, the mechanism ensures that the tank fills with a predetermined volume of water.

According to a preferred embodiment, the transmission mechanism comprises at least one traction rod movable in translation between a non-towed position and at least one trailed position, the passage of the traction rod from its non-towed position to a position tethered driving the passage of the shutter means from the closed position to a release position, and the transmission mechanism comprises means for transient coupling of the pull rod to the push button, the transient coupling means being capable of coupling together the push rod to the push button in the depressed predetermined transient coupling position of the push button, and decouple the pull rod of the push button when returning the push button to its rest position.

According to this embodiment, the flushing mechanism has a ratio equal to 1 between the travel of the traction rod and the stroke of the closure means, thus making it possible to simplify the adjustment and the reliability of the mechanism according to the invention. invention in time.

    • le bouton poussoir ;
    • une première partie du mécanisme de transmission comprenant la tige de traction ;
    • le bâti ;
    • une deuxième partie du mécanisme de transmission, complémentaire de la première partie du mécanisme de transmission, couplée aux moyens d'obturation ;
According to an advantageous embodiment, the flushing mechanism comprises:
  • a first assembly for mounting on a tank lid, the first assembly comprising:
    • the push button;
    • a first part of the transmission mechanism comprising the pull rod;
  • a second assembly intended to be mounted in the reservoir, separately from the first assembly, the second assembly comprising:
    • the built ;
    • a second part of the transmission mechanism, complementary to the first part of the transmission mechanism, coupled to the closure means;
and the transmission mechanism has means for coupling the first portion of the transmission mechanism to the second portion of the transmission mechanism during positioning of the cover on the reservoir.

Such a design greatly simplifies the setting of the flush mechanism according to the invention. Indeed, it is then enough for a person who carries out the assembly of the mechanism to mount the first assembly on the tank lid and the second assembly in the tank so that, when setting up the lid on the tank, the adjustment the flushing mechanism is self-cleaning.

Advantageously, the first assembly comprises means for locking the traction rod in a non-towed locked position, the coupling means interacting together during the positioning of the lid on the tank while the pulling rod is in the non-locked position. trailed locked and that the closure means are in the closed position.

According to this design, the flush mechanism is adjusted while the pull rod is in a locked non-tow position. Thereafter, it is sufficient for a person to unlock the pull rod from its locked non-towed position so that the mechanism according to the invention is operational.

Preferably, the transmission mechanism comprises at least one decoupling abutment cooperating with the transient coupling means in the rest position of the push button.

Such a decoupling abutment forms a simple and reliable means for decoupling a pull rod of the push button when the latter has reached its rest position and to allow the return of the pull rod to a non-towed position.

Avantageusement, les moyens de couplage transitoire comportent :

  • un organe mobile d'accrochage de la tige de traction avec le bouton poussoir, susceptible de coopérer avec la butée de découplage ;
Advantageously, the transient coupling means comprise:
  • a movable member for hooking the pull rod with the push button, capable of cooperating with the decoupling stop;
  • means for elastic tensioning of the movable fastening member tending to trigger the attachment of the pull rod with the push button.

According to a preferred solution, the transient coupling means comprise at least one notch, the mobile attachment member being intended to hook with the notch to couple the pull rod to the push button.

Thanks to these transient coupling means, their elastic tensioning means and the notch, the notch is hooked automatically by the movable member when the push button is depressed to a sufficient depth, this height being predefined and then forming the predetermined transient transient coupling position of the transmission mechanism with the push button.

According to a preferred feature, the transient coupling means comprise at least two successive notches, each notch representing a predetermined quantity of water of water to be removed from the toilet tank.

The flush mechanism then has a "big hunt" and a "small hunt" that correspond to at least two different depths of depression of the push button.

According to one conceivable embodiment, the push button comprises two parts, of which:
  • a part makes it possible to reach a first predetermined transient coupling transient position corresponding to the small hunting, where a first notch makes it possible to carry out the transient coupling, and
  • the other part makes it possible to reach a second predetermined depressed position of transient coupling (after having crossed the first transient predetermined transient coupling position and the first notch) corresponding to the large hunting and where a second notch also makes it possible to perform the transient coupling .

According to a preferred embodiment, the pull rod has the one or more notches and in that the push button carries the movable hooking member.

Such an embodiment has a design easier to produce, particularly with regard to the mounting of the movable fastening member on the push button.

According to an advantageous solution, the flushing mechanism comprises a receiver body having a cavity in which the push button is movably mounted, the return means comprising at least one compression spring located inside the cavity, the spring compression being intended to be compressed by the push button during its passage from its rest position to a depressed position.

The receiving body, as well as the compression spring or springs, are simple means to implement to ensure the guidance of the push button from its rest position to one of its depressed positions and vice versa, as well as to ensure the ability of the mechanism to apply a constant force to cause the passage of the shutter means from the closed position to one of the release positions.

Preferably, the receiver body has the decoupling stop.

This design ensures disengagement of the pull rod to the push button at the moment the push button reaches its rest position in the receiving body.

As can be seen from the Figures 1 to 3 , the flush mechanism according to the invention equips a tank 1 of toilet water. This mechanism comprises at least one push button 2, a frame 3 comprising means 30 for closing a water passage opening in a wall of the tank, and a transmission mechanism 4 coupling the push button to the means of shutter.

The push button 2 is mounted on a tank lid. This push button 2 is movable inside a cavity 220 of a receiver body 22. The push button is movable between a rest position ( figure 1 ) and depressed positions, including at least one predetermined transient coupling transient position with the transmission mechanism ( figure 2 ).

As shown on the figure 3 , the push button is being wound up from a predetermined transient coupling position and has almost reached its rest position.

The push button comprises in particular restoring means 5 in the rest position. These return means take the form of a compression spring 50 located inside the cavity 220, under the push button ( figure 4 ). The compression spring is especially intended to be compressed by the push button during its passage from a rest position to a depressed position, and therefore tends to raise the push button to its rest position.

The frame 3 is in turn mounted inside the tank, above the water passage opening in the bottom wall of the tank. The closure means 30 presented by the frame are movable between a closed position ( Figures 1 and 2 ) and at least one release position ( figure 3 ) of the orifice.

Thanks to the transmission mechanism of the flush mechanism according to the invention, it is noted that when the push button is in its rest position or in one of its depressed positions (without having reached a predetermined transient coupling transient position), the sealing means remain in the closed position. Indeed, it is only when the push button is raised from one of its predetermined transient coupling transient positions to its rest position that the sealing means pass into a release position.

  • le bouton poussoir soit libre en translation par rapport au mécanisme de transmission, à partir de la position de repos jusqu'à au moins une position enfoncée prédéterminée de couplage transitoire avec le mécanisme de transmission dans laquelle le bouton poussoir et le mécanisme de transmission sont solidaires en translation ;
As a result, the transmission mechanism is designed so that:
  • the push button is free in translation relative to the transmission mechanism, from the rest position to at least one predetermined transient coupling transient position with the transmission mechanism in which the push button and the transmission mechanism are integral in translation;
  • the passage of the push button from a predetermined transient coupling transient position to the rest position causing the passage of the shutter means from the shutter position to a release position.

According to the present embodiment and as can be seen on the Figures 1 to 4 as well as on Figures 5a to 5g , the transmission mechanism 4 comprises a traction rod 40 and means for transient coupling of the pull rod to the push button 2.

This traction rod is movable in translation between a non-towed position and at least one towed position.

When the traction rod moves from its non-drawn position to a trailed position, it causes the closing means 30 to move from the closed position to a release position.

As can be seen on the figure 4 and the Figures 5a to 5g , the push button 2 comprises a lower part forming a housing 201 in which the pull rod 40 is able to be housed ( Figures 5b to 5f ).

The transient coupling means are used to couple together the pull rod to the push button in the predetermined depressed transient coupling position of the push button with the transmission mechanism (the pull rod), and to decouple the push rod from the push button during the return of the push button to its rest position.

The transient coupling means are described in more detail below with reference to the figure 4 and to Figures 5a to 5g .

In a first step, it is observed that the transient coupling means comprise notches 25. These notches are carried by the pull rod 40. More precisely, at least two successive notches positioned on the pull rod 40 are observed. predetermined positions and are intended to allow to chase different predetermined amounts of water from the tank 1 toilet water, namely a "small hunt" and a "large hunt".

In a second step, it is observed that the transient coupling means comprise a mobile attachment member 23 of the pull rod 40 with the push button 2. This mobile hooking member is designed to hook with the notches to couple the pull rod 40 to the push button 2.

This mobile attachment member is thus carried by the push button 2. The mobile attachment member is in particular coupled to the lower part of the push button 2, which has holes 202 complementary snap pins 232 carried by the movable member hooking.

The mobile attachment member further comprises a hooking portion 230 which is intended to cooperate with the notches as illustrated by the Figures 5c and 5d .

As can be seen from the figures 4 , 5a, 5b, 5e, 5f and 5g , the mobile attachment member also comprises a decoupling portion 231. This decoupling portion is in particular intended to cooperate with a decoupling abutment.

As can be seen from the FIGS. 5a, 5b, 5e, 5f and 5g this decoupling stop 221 is presented by the receiver body, and is formed in particular by the bottom face of the bottom of the cavity 220.

In a complementary manner, the transient coupling means also comprise means for elastic tensioning 24 of the mobile fastening member 23. These elastic tensioning means tend to trigger the attachment of the traction rod with the button. button. More specifically, these elastic tensioning means take the form of a spring positioned on a protrusion 240 presented by the lower part of the push button, the spring being trapped under the movable fastening member.

The operating kinematics of the push button, in relation to the Figures 5a to 5g , is described below.

According to figure 5a , the push button 2 is in a rest position (decompressed compression spring 50) and the pull rod 40 is in a non-towed position. In this case, it is observed that the decoupling portion 231 of the movable fastening member 23 cooperates with the decoupling stop 221. Thus, the movable fastening member is held away from the pull rod and the push button is free in translation relative to the pull rod. This situation corresponds to the figure 1 in which the sealing means are in the closed position.

Ces moyens de mise en tension élastique tendent à déclencher l'accrochage de la tige de traction avec le bouton poussoir en appliquant la partie d'accrochage 230 de l'organe mobile d'accrochage 23 contre la tige de traction 40.According to figure 5b , the push button is depressed, but it has not reached a predetermined transient coupling depressed position and the push button is still free in translation relative to the pull rod. The compression spring 50 and the action of the elastic tensioning means are then observed. These elastic tensioning means tend to trigger the attachment of the pull rod with the push button by applying the hooking portion 230 of the movable fastening member 23 against the pull rod 40.

According to figure 5c , the push button is depressed and reaches a predetermined transient coupling depressed position. Indeed, it is observed that the attachment portion 230 of the movable fastening member 23 is hooked with one of the notches 25. The pull rod 40, in the non-towed position, is then coupled with the push button and is integral in translation with the push button. This pull rod is then fully engaged in the housing 201 of the lower part of the push button. This situation corresponds to the figure 2 in which the closure means are in the closed position (the water contained in the reservoir is still not released).

Dans cette situation, les moyens d'obturations sont entraînés par le mécanisme de transmission et sont en passage entre la position d'obturation et une position de libération (l'eau s'écoule alors du réservoir).Following the figure 5d , the compression spring 50 causes the push button to rise to its rest position, and the pull rod (coupled with the push button via the notch 25 and the attachment portion 230 of the body mobile hooking 23, and thus integral in translation of the push button) is driven from its non-towed position to a trailed position. In this situation, the sealing means are driven by the transmission mechanism and are in passage between the closed position and a release position (the water then flows from the reservoir).

According to figure 5e , the push button is about to reach its rest position. It is observed that the decoupling portion 231 of the mobile attachment member 23 begins to cooperate with the decoupling stop 221 to decouple the pull rod of the push button. This situation corresponds to the figure 3 in which the closure means are in the release position.

According to figure 5f , the push button has reached its rest position, and the pull rod has reached a pulled position. At this time, the pull rod is no longer coupled with the push button and is likely to fall under the action of its weight or closure means (the pull rod being released in translation of the push button).

Le mécanisme de chasse d'eau revient alors à sa condition initiale illustrée par la figure 5a.Finally, according to the figure 5g the fall of the pulling rod, which is not prevented by the mobile hooking member 23, is observed. In fact, since the push button is in its rest position, the decoupling portion 231 of the movable member hooking 23 cooperates with the decoupling stop 221 and the movable attachment member is held away from the pull rod. The flushing mechanism then returns to its initial condition illustrated by the figure 5a .

According to the present embodiment illustrated by the figure 4 it is observed that the push button 2 comprises a main button 20 and a secondary button 21. The main button corresponds to a large flush and the secondary button corresponds to a small flush.

The kinematics illustrated by Figures 5a to 5g corresponds to a big hunt. It is observed in this case, that the push button reaches a predetermined deep transient coupling position, corresponding to the lowest notch 25 on the pull rod 40. As a result, the pull rod will be pulled by the push button at a height more important in order to release a large quantity of water.

In the case where the secondary button 21 is actuated, the latter limits the depression of the push button to a predetermined depressed position of less high transient coupling (on the figure 5c , we notice that the secondary button protrudes during the maximum depression of the push button). Consequently, when the secondary button is actuated directly, only the highest notch 25 is hooked by the mobile hooking member 23, and the pull rod can be towed only at a height less than that corresponding to the large flush, causing de facto a limited rise at the top of the closure means of their closed position at one of the release positions. Thus, a more limited amount of water (compared to a large flush) is released from the tank.

The Figures 6, 7 and 8 illustrate locking means 6 of the pull rod in a locked non-towed position. According to the present embodiment, these locking means also cause the locking of the push button in its rest position.

Indeed, as illustrated by the figure 6 , it is observed that the push button 2 has a locking stop 61 complementary to a light 60 presented by the receiving body 22. In this case, the push button is mounted also movable in rotation about its axis of insertion into the body receiver. Thus, a clockwise rotation of the pushbutton while it is in the rest position makes it possible to engage the locking stop in a locking portion 600 preventing the pushbutton 2 from being pressed into the receiving body. .

  • une première partie de verrouillage 203 présentée par le bouton poussoir 2 ;
According to Figures 7 and 8 it is observed that the locking means 6 comprise:
  • a first locking portion 203 presented by the push button 2;
  • a second locking portion 400, complementary to the first locking portion, presented by the pull rod 40.

In the figure 7 (corresponding to the situation illustrated by the figure 6 ), the first locking portion 203 is not positioned opposite the second locking portion 400 and the pulling rod is not locked in a locked non-towed position. Also, the push button can then be depressed itself too.

According to figure 8 , on the contrary, the first locking portion 203 is positioned opposite the second locking portion 400 and the rod traction is locked in a non-towed locked position. Indeed, in this situation, the pull rod can not go up in the housing 201 presented by the lower part of the push button.

These locking means make it possible to prevent the use of the push button but also to simplify the installation of the flushing mechanism according to the invention.

  • un premier ensemble destiné à être monté sur le couvercle 10, ce premier ensemble comprenant le bouton poussoir 2 et une première partie du mécanisme de transmission comprenant la tige de traction 40 ;
More specifically, the flush mechanism comprises:
  • a first assembly intended to be mounted on the cover 10, this first set comprising the push button 2 and a first part of the transmission mechanism comprising the pull rod 40;
  • a second assembly intended to be mounted in the tank, this second assembly comprising the frame 3 and a second part of the complementary transmission mechanism of the first part of the transmission mechanism, coupled to the closure means 30.

  • des moyens de clipsage mâle 70 présentés par la partie inférieure de la tige de traction 40 ;
As illustrated by figure 9 , the transmission mechanism comprises coupling means 7 of the first part of the transmission mechanism to the second part of the transmission mechanism during a positioning of the lid on the tank. These coupling means are broken down into:
  • male clipping means 70 presented by the lower part of the pull rod 40;
  • female clipping means 71 presented the second part of the transmission mechanism 4 (this second part being constantly coupled to the closing means).

According to a first variant embodiment, the first assembly comprises the locking means 6 of the traction rod 40 in a locked non-towed position, as illustrated by the Figures 6 to 8 . The coupling of the first part of the transmission mechanism to the second part of the transmission mechanism is performed during a positioning of the lid on the tank, while the pulling rod is in the locked non-towed position and the means shutter are in the closed position.

Thus, according to the Figures 10a and 10b during an installation of the flushing mechanism according to the invention, the locking means are actuated so as to position the pull rod 40 in its locked non-towed position. The lid of the tank can then be positioned above the tank, and then lowered so as to engage the male clipping means 70 in the female clipping means 71 to perform the coupling.

Once the lid 10 has been put in place on the tank 1, the coupling means have then coupled the first set and the second set of the flushing mechanism while having synchronized the different positions of the movable elements with each other.

Indeed, thanks to this design, the male clipping means 70 engage in the female clipping means 71 at a "height adjustment" which depends on the shape of the reservoir. During this installation operation the traction rod being in a non-towed locked position and the shutter means being in the closed position, then the "adjustment height" is automatically adjusted without additional intervention of the person who realizes installation.

According to another variant embodiment illustrated by the Figures 11a to 11d , the kinematic adjustment of the transmission mechanism is decomposed in two stages, and is performed during the introduction of the lid 10 of the tank 1, and during the first use of the push button.

With reference to the figure 11a , the lid 10 is lowered on the tank without prior intervention on the push button 2. Only the positioning vis-à-vis the male clipping means 70 with the female clipping means 71 must be provided during the lowering of the lid on the tank.

As it appears on the Figures 11b and 11c , the coupling means progressively cooperate, and the pull rod 40 is driven into its towed position, high, under the effect of the engagement of the male clipping means 70 in the female clipping means 71.

Once the cover 10 in place, the pull rod 40 is in an intermediate position: it is not towed but remains in a high position.

The figure 11d illustrates a first use of the push button 2. This first use of the push button allows to push the pull rod 40 to fully engage the male clipping means 70 in the female clipping means 71. In this way, the user realizes transparent way adjustment of the "adjustment height" to synchronize the different positions of the moving elements between them.

In other words, during the first passage of the push button from its rest position to its depressed position, it forces the passage of the pulling rod from its towed position to its non-towed position and thus the commitment of the means of male clipping 70 inside the female coupling means 71.

Thus, during the first use of the push button, the flush is not triggered by the fact that the pull rod, in the high position called the towed position, is not yet synchronized with the rest of the transmission mechanism and with the sealing means. Only after the first use of the push button, in this embodiment, the flush mechanism can be used normally.
