Die Rasthaken 15 werden aus einer am Anbauflansch umlaufenden Nut 19 entfernt, so dass der Steckverbinder 1 aus den Anbauflansch 2 gezogen werden kann. Beim Hineinstecken des Steckverbinder 1 in den Anbauflansch 2 gleiten die Rasthaken 15 zunächst am Hohlzylinder 20 des Anbauflansches entlang, bevor sie in die Nut 19 einrasten. In Figur 6 ist eine perspektivische Darstellung des Anbauflansches 2 zu sehen. Der Anbauflansch bildet einen Hohlzylinder 20 aus. Der Hohlzylinder weist außen eine Nut 19 auf, in welcher, wie oben bereits erwähnt, Rasthaken 15 der Verriegelungsarme 14 eingreifen können. Im Innenbereich des Hohlzylinders 20 ist eine Stufe zu sehen, die Bereiche mit unterschiedlichem Durchmesser ausbildet. Der Bereich mit dem größeren Durchmesser bildet den so genannten Einsteckbereich 21 aus. Der Einsteckbereich 21 ist gewindelos ausgeführt, während der weiter unten verlaufende Bereich mit dem kleineren Durchmesser ein Gewinde (nicht gezeigt) aufweist.
