Definitions
- the invention relates to an improvement of the closing buckles of sports shoes and, more particularly, of alpine ski boots, cross-country skiing, ski touring or even snowboarding.
- the invention relates to an improvement of the closing loops of an alpine ski boot intended more particularly for competition.
- the alpine ski boots generally comprise a rigid outer shell formed of a collar facing the calf of the user, articulated on a lower shell enveloping the lower leg and the foot of the user, and provided with a manual closure system with clamping loops and hooks.
- loops comprise a main lever or lever-tensioner articulated on a base and having a longitudinal notch in which is mounted a tie connected to a hook.
- the free end of the lever-lever carries an auxiliary lever whose median longitudinal axis is offset towards the rear of the buckle relative to the axis of the lever-tensioner to allow easier opening of the loop.
- This configuration also has a chamfer designed to prevent the risk of accidental snapping of the loop, especially when in contact with slalom stakes or ski poles.
- auxiliary lever extends over the entire width of the tensioning lever by providing a spacer and its pivot axis is housed in a conduit which opens directly to the chamfer and which is not protected.
- the FR 2 317 890 discloses a shoe whose closure loop is protected against shocks by a protector of the lever constituted by a projection forming a ramp-shaped rim formed on the front of the shell and placed in front of shield loops to deflect the stakes.
- this embodiment requires modifying the mold for manufacturing the shell and is insufficiently effective.
- the auxiliary lever being intended to facilitate the gripping of the tensioning lever and the opening of the loop, it is, by its very structure, all the more subject to untimely openings because it is the organ system closure whose opening mode requires the weakest efforts. It is therefore important to protect the auxiliary lever from any parasitic interaction with surrounding elements.
- the invention aims to remedy these technical problems by modifying the structure of the loop.
- a ski boot closure loop comprising a main lever articulated on a base and having a longitudinal notch in which is mounted a tie rod connected to a hook and whose end carries an auxiliary lever, characterized in that the main lever comprises a protective lug delimiting laterally a housing for receiving the auxiliary lever.
- the tab is offset at least partially towards the rear of the loop.
- the tab extends on the lateral side of the auxiliary lever.
- the respective edges of the tab and the auxiliary lever are oriented parallel.
- the tab is oriented along an inclined axis with an angle between 0 ° and 90 ° relative to the longitudinal axis of the tie rod.
- the auxiliary lever has an axis of rotation not perpendicular to the axis of the tie rod.
- the tab is projecting and is connected to the main lever by a first outer edge parallel to the axis of the tie rod and which extends towards its free end by a second outer edge parallel to the central axis of the auxiliary lever .
- the second outer edge is extended by a third outer edge delimiting a tapered end of axis which closes, towards the front of the loop, the housing of the auxiliary lever by joining its end edge.
- the upper face of the tab carries a chamfer.
- the chamfer extends continuously on the upper face of the tab and the thickness of the tab is thinned towards its outer lateral edge.
- the upper face of the chamfered flap is flush with the upper face of the auxiliary lever.
- the lower face of the auxiliary lever and the lower face of the end of said tab are bevelled and extend in the same plane raised relative to the plane of the base to facilitate manual grip.
- the axis of rotation of the auxiliary lever is linked to the protective tab.
- Another object of the invention is a ski boot equipped with loops as defined above.
- the tab is oriented towards the front of the shoe while the auxiliary lever is oriented towards the rear of the shoe.
- auxiliary lever is effectively protected by the front lug of the main lever which delimits a housing also housing the bearing of the pivot axis.
- the ski boot loops generally comprise a main lever 2 or lever-tensioner articulated on a base 1 and having a longitudinal slot 20 in which is mounted a tie rod 3 connected to a hook K (shown in FIG. figure 5 ).
- the front of the loop is on the side of the tie rod 3 and the hook.
- the base 1 is intended to be riveted on the upper face of the shell of the boot and its longitudinal axis which coincides with the axis X1 of the main lever 2 and the tie rod 3 is generally oriented transversely on the shell of the boot, as illustrated on the figure 5 .
- the free end of the lever-tensioner opposite the hook carries an auxiliary lever 4 whose median longitudinal axis Y1 is angularly offset relative to the longitudinal axis X1 of the main lever 2 which is itself perpendicular to its pivot axis X2. This offset is oriented towards the rear of the shoe to provide, in the event of collision with an obstacle, a rear angle of flight.
- the median longitudinal axis Y1 of the auxiliary lever 4 does not cross the entire width of the main lever 2, but is located only on part of the width of the main lever 2 which is located towards the rear of the shoe.
- the invention aims to improve the existing loops by improving the protection of the auxiliary lever and jointly reducing the risk of snagging.
- the main lever 2 comprises a lever body and, on the frontal side, that is to say on the most forward side of the boot, a tab 21 projecting in the extension of the body of the lever, which is positioned on one of the lateral sides of the auxiliary lever 4.
- the tab 21 is connected to the body of the main lever 2 by a first outer edge 21a parallel to the axis X1 followed continuously by a second outer edge 21b substantially parallel to the axis Z1.
- the tab is an integral part of the main lever 2 and is in the extension of the latter to form an outgrowth on the front of the main lever.
- the lug 21 is integral with the main tensioner lever 2, but this lug 21 could be an auxiliary part attached to the end of the main lever 2, which would make it possible, in particular, to use a different material from that of the main lever 2.
- the intermediate edge 21b is extended by a third outer edge 21c forming a narrower end inclined along a Z2 axis closing towards the front of the loop, the housing 24 of the auxiliary lever 4 by joining its end edge, as illustrated by the figures 2 and 3 .
- the tab 21 has a right inner edge 21d closing the housing 24 facing the lateral edge 41 of the auxiliary lever 4.
- the edges 21d and 41 are oriented parallel and inclined along an axis Z1 with an angle ⁇ of between 0 ° and 90 ° by relative to the longitudinal axis X1 of the tie rod 3, as illustrated by the figure 2 .
- the tab 21 thus extends beyond the end of the main lever 2 by delimiting, towards the rear of the loop, a housing 24 for receiving the auxiliary lever 4 which is closed towards the front and on the lateral side of the loop by the edge 21d.
- the edges 21b and 21c of the tab 21 protect both the front edge 41 of the auxiliary lever 4 and its pivoting mechanism.
- pivot bearing 23 carried by the end of the body of the main lever 2 and which receives the pivot 5 axis Y2 whose ends are engaged, on both sides and so rotating in two ducts 42, 43 formed in the body of the auxiliary lever 4.
- the pivot 5 is also coupled with a coil spring 6 disposed between the bearing 23 and one of the conduits 42, 43 ( figure 3 ).
- one of the ends of the pivot 5 on the axis Y2 of the auxiliary lever 4 can be housed in the lug 21.
- the auxiliary lever could be directly articulated on this lug.
- the lower face 211 of the end portion delimited by the tapered edge 21c of the tab 21 is beveled, as illustrated by the figure 3 .
- This arrangement makes it possible to place the face 211 in the same plane as that of the lower face of the auxiliary lever 4 which is slightly raised relative to the plane of the base 1 in order to facilitate the manual engagement of the auxiliary lever 4 and the main lever 2.
- the tab 21 carries on its upper face 210 a chamfer oriented so that the thickness of the tab 21 decreases away from the side edge 41 of the auxiliary lever 4. In other words, the outer edge of the tab 21 is thinned with respect to the inner edge 21d of the tab 21.
- the chamfer which is made on the upper face 210 of the tab 21 extends continuously from the connecting edge 21a to the end edge 21c.
- the chamfer forms a ramp or an inclined plane so that when a slalom post hits the loop, it is guided and slides on the inclined plane and thus being removed from the loop without risk of snagging.
- a chamfer it is possible, according to variants of the invention not shown, to give the upper face of the leg any other shape capable of guiding and sliding an object colliding with the loop.
- a gradually decreasing thickness can be provided in the form of a rounding.
- the chamfer of the tensioning lever can also extend to the auxiliary lever.
- the end of the auxiliary lever is also partially chamfered.
- the lug 21 has a chamfered area but it will not depart from the scope of the invention if this lug 21 is of constant thickness or even if it has an outgrowth greater than the thickness of the auxiliary lever 4.
- these different forms of tab 21 can fulfill the purpose of the invention is to protect the loop from accidental and untimely openings.
- auxiliary lever 4 is articulated on an axis Y2 perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the tie rod X1, the tab 21 of the main tensioning lever 2 coming to protect this auxiliary lever 4 laterally.
- the end zone located at the front of the tab 21 has a rounded edge to prevent inadvertent attachment with an external object.
- the loop according to the invention is preferably made of metal, in particular aluminum, but could be made of plastics, possibly loaded with fibers.
- the buckle according to the invention is intended to be used, principally, on a gliding sports shoe and, in particular, a ski boot as represented on the figure 5 .
- the shell C of this shoe is provided here with a single assembly consisting of a loop, as described above, associated with a hook K which cooperates with a corresponding dente (not visible on the figure 5 ) carried by the opposite side of the hull and ensuring the locking and retaining of the hook.
- the shell C is equipped with four sets of loops, hooks and dentaires, respectively two at the collar of the shoe and two at the bottom of the hull.

Description
figure 5 .
figure 2 .
figure 3 ).
figure 3 .
figure 1 .
figure 5 .
