Abstract

L'invention concerne une approche de localisation basée sur une détection de longueur de câble. Selon un aspect, l'invention porte sur un procédé effectué par un système de positionnement permettant de déterminer la localisation d'un dispositif de communication mobile (MCD pour Mobile Communication Device). Selon certains modes de réalisation, le procédé comprend le système de positionnement qui détermine une valeur de longueur de câble représentative de la longueur du câble reliant une station de base à une tête radio desservant le dispositif MCD. Le système de positionnement détermine ensuite un emplacement du dispositif MCD sur la base de la longueur de câble déterminée.
