second processing unit 22 comprises asecond receiving module 221 configured to receive a request for authorization R_ab from the subject S as a function of the identification data DS for the same subject (S); - The
second processing unit 22 comprises aregistration module 222 configured to record the identification data DS in thesecond memory unit 21, thus determining the data for registered subjects DBS. - The
second processing unit 22 further comprises anauthorization module 223 configured to generate an authorization signal S_ab for the access identification means ID_ACC as a function of receiving the authorization request R_ab and following a registration of data for registered subjects DBS in thesecond memory unit 21. - The authorization signal S_ab thus generated represents authorization of the subject S identified by the identification data DS.
- The
second processing unit 22 comprises atransmission module 224 configured to transmit the authorization signal S_ab to the subject S and/or to the access identification means ID_ACC. - An
updating module 225 is instead configured to receive the updating data D_UP and to update the data concerning registered subjects DBS and/or the reservation data DR in thesecond memory unit 21. - Once the subject S has been registered in the system of the invention, the subject S can make a reservation for an outdoor accommodation facility SA by adding data concerning the corresponding guests, vehicles and dates/times to the reservation.
- To do so, the
second processing unit 22 comprises an identification module 227 (Fig. 3 ) configured to identify the subject S as a function of an access request R_ac and of the authorization signal S_ab sent to the subject S. - The
second processing unit 22 comprises areservation module 226 configured to receive the reservation data DR from the subject S, after the subject has been identified, and to save the data in thesecond memory unit 21, thereby determining registered reservation data DSR. - In this manner, the
server 20 permits a reservation to be made real time, which is guaranteed by the fact that in all the embodiments there is an alignment between the management unit 3 (processing unit 10) and theserver 20. - According to the invention, the
server 20 makes the registered reservation data DSR available for access, upon request by reception personnel as is the case in the first embodiment, or automatically and periodically as in the second and third embodiments. - Data concerning reservations made and the duration thereof can therefore be consulted locally with respect to the access facility.
- The
second processing unit 22 further comprises apayment module 228 associated with thereservation module 226. - The
payment module 228 is configured to manage payment transactions after a reservation has been made by means of saidreservation module 226. - In other words, payment can be made only after the reservation has been registered on the
server 20 as registered reservation data DSR. - Once the payment has been made, the
module 228 sends a payment received signal to theserver 20 and said signal updates the data in the registered reservation data DSR. - The invention also discloses an outdoor accommodation facility (SA) access method.
- The method comprises the steps of:
- assigning access identification means ID_ACC to a subject S for access to the outdoor accommodation facility SA, said means ID_ACC comprising at least identification data DS for the subject S;
- providing reading means 1 locally with respect to the outdoor accommodation facility SA;
- reading the access identification means ID_ACC and acquiring the identification data DS for the subject S;
- providing access means 2 for access to the outdoor accommodation facility SA, the
means 2 being interposed between the reading means 1 and the outdoor accommodation facility SA; - providing a
first memory unit 19 comprising data concerning registered subjects DBS and reservation data DR for the outdoor accommodation facility SA, the latter comprising at least registration data identifying the outdoor accommodation facility SAR; - receiving the identification data DS for the subject S read by the reading means 1, and identifying data DSA for the outdoor accommodation facility SA, the data DSA being associated with the reading means 1;
- comparing the identification data DS for the subject S and the identifying data DSA for the outdoor accommodation facility SA with corresponding data certainly registered subjects DBS and registered outdoor accommodation facilities SAR in the
first memory unit 19; - sending an activation signal S_AZ to said access means 2 as a function of a match OK resulting from the comparison carried out;
- enabling access ACC to the outdoor accommodation facility SA as a function of the received activation signal S_AZ;
- transmitting, as a function of the resulting match OK, updating data D_UP for the updating of the reservation data DR at least to the
first memory unit 19, thereby updating the reservation data DR. - The method further comprises the steps of:
- receiving a request for authorization R_ab from the subject S, as a function of the identification data DS for the subject S;
- recording the identification data DS, thus determining the data for registered subjects DBS;
- generating an authorization signal S_ab for the access identification means ID_ACC as a function of receiving the authorization request R_ab and following a registration of data for registered subjects DBS, where the authorization signal S_ab represents authorization of the subject S identified by the identification data DS;
- transmitting the authorization signal S_ab to said subject S and/or to the access identification means ID_ACC;
- receiving the updating data D_UP so as to update the data for registered subjects DBS and the reservation data DR.
- The method according to the invention comprises additional steps corresponding to the functions of the modules described hereinabove. According to the invention, one or more steps of the method are implemented by means of a computer.
- The step of storing the registration data DR preferably takes place via the Web, subject to authentication with a username and password. Preferably, the step of requesting authorization can be carried out using a mobile device such as a smartphone, a tablet, a PC, a notebook or suchlike.
- Preferably, receiving said updating data D_UP and updating the data for registered subjects DBS comprises receiving data on the effective expiration of the access period PAR upon exiting the access facility SA. Under these circumstances, the
processing unit 10 updates vacancies and sends updating data D_UP to the server concerning actual vacancies. - To sum up, the invention allows outdoor accommodation facilities to make use of a technological development in guest management so as to reduce the presence of personnel at the facility itself, identify persons who are staying overnight at the facility and comply with the provisions of law (e.g. TULPS), take advantage of greater visibility and enable online booking of available vacancies.
- The invention also enables potential guests to use a smartphone or PC to check the availability of accommodations and to make ongoing reservations.
- In particular, the invention makes it possible to provide a service for managing access to outdoor accommodation facilities which moves the management of reservations to remote online communication systems, particularly by using the access facility's website so as to reduce the presence of personnel locally at the facility. The invention also makes it possible to identify in an automated manner and in real time persons who are staying overnight at the facility and to comply with provisions of the law (TULPS) on providing data on the guests present at the facility. The invention also makes it possible to give the facility and guests greater visibility and to check the availability of vacancies in real time using a simple smartphone, tablet, computer or suchlike.
