ZUSAMMENFASSUNG DER ERFINDUNGSUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Against this background, the present invention seeks to provide a connector with improved electrical properties.

According to the invention, this object is achieved by a high-frequency connector having the features of patent claim 1.

The idea underlying the present invention is to design a contact sleeve for an outer conductor of a first connector of an HF connector such that an end-side region of the contact sleeve in the inserted state is formed as circumferentially as possible, ie substantially without interruptions.

According to the invention, the slot of the frontal area is designed such that it closes itself when connected to a second connector.

Accordingly, the contact sleeve of an RF connector according to the invention ensures a more homogeneous distribution the impedance through a substantially circumferential frontal area when the contact sleeve is in the inserted state.

The angling of the slot with respect to the longitudinal axis of the contact sleeve brings with it special mechanical advantages in terms of tolerance compensation.

It is understood that the term "circumferential frontal area" refers to a plugged state of the contact sleeve.

Advantageous embodiments and further developments will become apparent from the other dependent claims and from the description with reference to the figures of the drawing.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the slot of the contact sleeve is designed such that clamping forces when connecting the first connector to a second connector of the RF connector are reduced and a tolerance compensation is provided.

Through the slot insertion forces, which are required for connecting the contact sleeve with a second connector, are reduced compared to a contact sleeve with an unslotted frontal area.

Further, the contact sleeve according to the invention provides a tolerance compensation to the effect that too large a circumference or too small a circumference of the frontal area is compensated by the opposite sides of the slot in the inserted state against each move or a gap between the opposite sides of the slots remains.

The person skilled in the art understands the term "self-closing" in that the opposite sides of the slot move towards each other when connecting the contact sleeve to a second connector and, in the ideal case, make contact. The skilled person is aware, however, that due to possible manufacturing tolerances a remaining small gap between the opposite sides of the slot can not be completely ruled out.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the contact sleeve has a spring region with at least one recess which is set up to provide a deformability of the spring region and to further reduce the insertion forces.

As a result of the spring region according to the invention, the flexibility and deformability of the contact sleeve are further increased by the recesses of the spring region ensuring a displacement of the frontal region relative to the spring region. This is particularly advantageous for small connectors with very low insertion forces.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the longitudinal axis and the slot form an angle of between 30 ° and 50 °, in particular an angle of substantially 45 °. Accordingly, with a 45 ° bend of the slot relative to the longitudinal axis, a maximum tolerance compensation of the diameter can be ensured by the risk of tilting of the opposite sides of the slot is reduced and the opposite sides of the slot can move particularly easily against each other.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the spring region has an elevation which is set up make electrical contact with the second connector and which is arranged in particular adjacent to the recess in the radial direction. Thus, two outer conductors to be connected of a first connector and a second connector can be contacted in a particularly simple manner. In addition, such contacts prove to be particularly fail-safe even with occurring vibrations or shocks.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the contact sleeve has at least two recesses, in particular at least four recesses, more particularly at least six recesses. The skilled person understands that the number and the geometric dimensioning of the recesses are to be provided depending on the size of the contact sleeve.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the frontal region of the contact sleeve tapers in the frontal direction. As a result, the insertion force to be applied for connecting the contact sleeve to a second connector can be further reduced.

Particularly advantageous is an RF connector having a first connector and a second connector, wherein the first connector has a contact sleeve according to the invention and wherein the contact sleeve is formed as an outer conductor.

According to a preferred embodiment of an RF connector according to the invention, the first connector is designed as a plug and the second connector as a socket. However, one of ordinary skill in the art will understand that hermaphroditic connectors are also within the scope of this patent application. Furthermore, the person skilled in the art understands that a contact sleeve according to the invention can also form part of a bushing.

According to a preferred embodiment of the RF connector according to the invention, the second connector has latching means which are adapted to lock with the increase. The locking means may be formed, for example, as a corresponding recess to the increase. Thus, the contact safety can be further increased.

The above embodiments and developments can, if appropriate, combine with each other as desired. Further possible refinements, developments and implementations of the invention also include combinations, not explicitly mentioned, of features of the invention described above or below with regard to the exemplary embodiments. In particular, the person skilled in the art will also add individual aspects as improvements or additions to the respective basic form of the present invention.

Die Ausnehmungen 22a-f gewährleisten eine ausreichende Verformbarkeit der Kontakthülse 100.The jacket region 16 has the spring region 20 with the recesses 22a-f and with the elevations 24a-f. The recesses 22a-f ensure sufficient deformability of the contact sleeve 100.

In order to further increase the deformability of the contact sleeve 100, the slot 14 is connected to the recess 22b of the spring portion 20.

The contact sleeve 100 has between the recesses 22a-f each elevations 24a-f, which ensure an electrical contact to an outer conductor of a second connector 40 in the inserted state. The skilled person understands that the arrangement of the elevations 24a-f is by no means limited to an arrangement between the recesses 22a-f. In particular, the elevations can also be arranged in the frontal area 12 or between the frontal area 12 and the spring area 20.

In FIG. 3 In addition to the contact sleeve 100 and an inner conductor 30 and an insulating member 32 is shown. The insulating part 32 is formed as a plastic ring.

The following are the Figures 4, 4a and 5, 5a described comprehensively. The FIGS. 4 and 5 each show a sectional view of a contact sleeve 100 and a second connector 40th

FIG. 4 shows the contact sleeve 100 and the second connector 40 in a non-hidden state. The subregion 40 according to FIG FIG. 4a shows that the frontal region 12 of the contact sleeve 100 has a slot 14.

In Figur 5 bzw. Figur 4a in Figur 5 bzw. 5a geschlossen hat.In FIG. 5 5a, the contact sleeve 100 and the second connector 40 are shown hidden. It can be clearly seen that the slot 14 according to FIG. 4 or. FIG. 4a in FIG. 5 or 5a has closed.
