Description

Domaine techniqueTechnical area

The present invention relates to a paint bucket having a spin boom and a tilting handle for transport.

The invention relates more particularly to a paint bucket in which the tilting handle serves as wedging means for the bucket in order to give it a better stability, in particular during the spinning of a paint tool on the spinning beam. .

Such a paint bucket is also referred to as a "truck" by those skilled in the art.

Etat de la techniqueState of the art

It is known to use paint buckets, usually made of plastic, in which the painter pours the paint that he wishes to apply to a surface. This allows him to transport the desired amount of paint, in a suitable container for example to immerse a paint roller.

These paint buckets usually have a handle for transport, handle that is sometimes provided to be hooked, for example the bar of a ladder or scaffolding.

By the patent GB 715 223 A in the name of HITCHMAN , there is known a device for transporting water which comprises a cylindrical reservoir provided for rolling on itself by pulling it by means of a handle fixed on the sides of the cylindrical reservoir at its axis of rotation. This transport device for water is not a paint bucket and its handle can only pull it by rolling it on the ground. It does not allow a wedging with the ground, but must instead be associated with an additional support mounted on the handle for support and wedging with the ground.

By the patent US 2015/053708 A1 on behalf of RUHA , there is known a paint bucket having two handles each fixed to the edge of the bucket by means of an elevating attachment element, which is offset laterally outwardly of the bucket. Each handle can be tilted to come into bearing contact and wedging with the ground only on one side, either forward or backward, but not both.

Cette rampe d'essorage sert notamment à essorer les outils de peinture, par exemple les rouleaux, en les appuyant sur la face supérieure de celle-ci.Generally the paint buckets also include a spin boom, either in one piece with the bucket, for example in the form of an inclined wall, or in the form of a separate piece that is introduced into the bucket. This wiper boom is used in particular to wring the paint tools, for example the rollers, by pressing on the upper face thereof.

While paint buckets are usually designed to be stable and not easily overturned, this stability is not always sufficient, especially when the painter strongly presses his roller or brush on the spin line. The bucket is then likely to tilt on the side of the spin boom and overturn, which can have unfortunate consequences.

More rarely, the seal is likely to tip over and overturn when the painter plunges his paint tool into the bucket and squeezes it lightly on the edge of it, without using the spin line.

In general, the bucket is likely to tilt and roll over from any side or move when the painter plunges his paint tool into the bucket. This risk is greatly increased when the paint tool is mounted at the end of a pole, the length of which increases the range of motion of the tool in the bucket.

Il existe donc un besoin pour améliorer la stabilité et le maintien au sol des seaux de peintureThere is therefore a need to improve the stability and the maintenance of the buckets of paint on the ground

Description de l'inventionDescription of the invention

The object of the present invention is therefore to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by proposing a new paint bucket, as claimed in claims 1 to 15, offering improved stability with respect to its tilting and increased ground support.

The objects assigned to the invention are achieved by means of a paint bucket having an open upper face bordered by a flange, the bucket comprising a bottom, a leading edge, a trailing edge, two lateral flanks and a loop presenting two substantially vertical portions interconnected by a substantially horizontal intermediate portion, the free ends of the substantially vertical portions of the handle being pivotally mounted on each of the lateral sides of the bucket. This bucket is characterized in that the shackle is pivoted both forwards and backwards to a stable position tilted forwards and a tilted position to the rear in which its intermediate portion is located. each time in contact of support and wedging with the ground.

The support of the intermediate portion of the handle against the floor advantageously offers better stability for the bucket, the ground maintenance can be further increased when the painter presses with his foot on the intermediate portion of the handle.

According to an exemplary implementation of the invention, the handle is rotatably mounted on the side flanks at the upper edge of the bucket. It is for example placed in a substantially central position relative to the longitudinal axis of the rim of the bucket.

According to another example of implementation of the invention, the intermediate portion is substantially straight and horizontal which provides a greater support surface on the ground and better stability for the bucket when the handle is in the tilted position.

According to another additional example of implementation of the invention, the bucket comprises a spin ramp, either in one piece with the bucket in the form of an inclined portion of its trailing edge, or in the form of a separate piece that is introduced into the bucket.

According to an exemplary implementation of the invention, the intermediate portion of the handle has a first wedging surface provided to come into contact with the ground when the handle is tilted forward. This wedging surface is substantially flat, which provides a greater support surface on the ground and better stability for the bucket when the handle is in the tilted position. In this way, the handle is firmly locked in a fixed position when the user presses with his foot on the intermediate part and the plate on the ground. The ends of the handle are thus maintained at a constant altitude which prevents the tilting of the bucket.

In practice, the wedging surface may extend in length over at least the entire transverse width of the bucket.

According to a further example of implementation of the invention, the intermediate portion of the loop has a bearing surface on which the painter can press with his foot towards the ground, this bearing surface being located opposite the the first wedging surface. This bearing surface may have non-slip reliefs, which prevents the painter's foot from sliding on the handle when it presses on its intermediate part.

According to an exemplary implementation of the invention, the intermediate portion of the loop has a second wedging surface, adjacent to the first wedging surface and provided to come into contact with the ground when the handle is tilted backwards. . This second wedging surface makes it possible to wedge the bucket to the ground when the handle is tipped in the other direction, and the painter can also press with his foot on this second wedging surface to provide better stability and better ground maintenance. for the bucket.

According to another example of implementation of the invention, the flange of the bucket has a first abutment surface bearing against the substantially vertical portion of the handle, the rotation of the bucket being blocked forward relative to the handle when the substantially vertical portion of the loop is in contact with said first abutment surface. This first abutment surface advantageously prevents the bucket from tipping forward, especially when the painter plunges his paint tool without the bucket.

Similarly, according to a further example of implementation of the invention, the flange of the bucket has a second abutment surface abutting against the substantially vertical portion of the handle, the rotation of the bucket being locked backward relative to at the handle when the substantially vertical portion of the handle is in contact with said second abutment surface. Like the first abutment surface, this second abutment surface advantageously makes it possible to prevent the bucket from tilting backwards.

According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, a clearance is provided between the floor and the bottom of the bucket when the handle thereof is in the tilted position and / or in the rearward pivoted position, this game being in the form of a free space to shift the position of the bucket upwards from the ground when the intermediate portion of the handle is in contact with the ground. This game makes it possible to compensate for any deformations of the bucket and is overtaken by the elastic deformation of the handle, especially when the painter presses with his foot on the intermediate part of the handle towards the ground.

According to this alternative embodiment of the invention, the clearance is for example between 1 and 10 millimeters, preferably between 3 and 8 millimeters and more preferably between 5 and 7 millimeters.

Mode(s) de réalisation de l'inventionMode (s) of realization of the invention

The structurally and functionally identical elements present in several separate figures are assigned a same numerical or alphanumeric reference.

For the sake of simplicity, the rear face will be referred to as the substantially vertical side of the bucket comprising the spin ramp, whereas the front face therefore designates the substantially vertical sidewall opposite the rear face.

The bucket (1) paint according to the invention comprises a bottom (2) substantially horizontal, a front flank (3) substantially vertical, a rear flank (4) substantially vertical and two side flanks (5, 5 ') substantially vertical. It has an open upper face, preferably inclined forwards, and bordered by a flange (6) usually reinforced by a return.

The open upper face is preferably large. It occupies for example the entire upper face of the bucket (1) paint according to the invention so as to fill and empty the latter easily, and to be able to introduce all the usual utensils used in painting, namely brushes, rollers, mixers etc.

The bucket (1) paint according to the invention also comprises a handle (7) rotatably mounted on the side flanks (5, 5 ') of the bucket (1), preferably at its upper flange (6). The handle (7) is provided tilting between a tilted position forward and a tilted position in which it is each time in contact with each other. with the ground (8).

In general, the handle (7) is preferably single and allows the bucket (1) to be lifted to move it when in the transport position (see FIG. figure 2 ).

The substantially horizontal bottom (2) of the paint bucket (1) provides good stability to the paint bucket (1) to prevent it from accidentally spilling and its open upper face always remains upwardly positioned when the bucket (1) ) to paint is laid on the ground.

Dans ces positions basculées, la anse (7) permet également d'immobiliser le seau (1) à peinture de manière supplémentaire par appui du pied de l'utilisateur sur celle-ci (voir figure 4 à 7).The handle (7) is particularized in that, when it is in a position tilted forwards or backwards, it serves alone as a wedge support against the ground for the bucket (1) to paint ( see figure 1 and 3 ) to provide additional stability for the bucket (1). In these tilted positions, the handle (7) also makes it possible to immobilize the bucket (1) with additional paint by pressing the user's foot on it (see figure 4 to 7 ).

The handle (7) has two substantially vertical parts (9, 9 ') interconnected by an intermediate portion (10) substantially rectilinear and horizontal. Each of the substantially vertical portions (9, 9 ') may for example be connected to the intermediate portion (10) by a curved portion (11, 11'). The free ends of the substantially vertical portions (9, 9 ') of the loop (7) are pivotally mounted on each of the lateral flanks (5, 5') of the bucket (1), for example by means of a spigot mounted in a orifice provided in the lateral flanks (5, 5 ') of the bucket (1).

The intermediate portion (10) serves as a carrying handle for the bucket when the handle (7) is tilted in a substantially vertical position, said transport position. It is also this intermediate part (10) which is in contact with the ground (8) when the handle (7) is tilted forward, said tilted position forward, and when the handle (7) is tilted backwards. said rear tilted position.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the bucket (1) with paint according to the invention also comprises a spinning ramp (12), either in one piece with the bucket (1) in the form of an inclined portion of its rear flank (4) as shown in the figures, either in the form of a separate piece which is introduced into the bucket (1).

In the case where the spin ramp (12) is in one piece with the bucket (1) it has wiping reliefs (13) on its upper face.

In the case where the spin ramp is a separate part of the bucket (1) it has dewatering reliefs and / or holes.

The handle (7), in particular in its intermediate portion (10), has a substantially parallelepipedic section, comprising at least a first wedging surface (14), preferably flat and intended to come into contact with the ground (8) when the handle (7) is tilted, preferably in the tilted position.

This additional stability is even greater than the first wedging surface (14) is large and extends in length over at least the entire transverse width of the bucket (1).

Opposite the first wedging surface (14) the intermediate portion (10) of the handle (7) has a bearing surface (15) on which the painter can press with his foot (16) to offer perfect stability to the jump (1) of paint when it is used, in particular when it plunges its paint tool into the bucket (1) or when it wrings it against the spin line (12). The bearing surface (15) may have anti-slip reliefs (17) to facilitate the support of the foot (16) of the painter.

Adjacent to the first wedging surface (14) the intermediate portion (10) of the loop (7) also has a second wedging surface (18), provided to come into contact with the ground (8) when the loop (7) is tilted to the other side of the bucket, preferably in the tilted rear position.

When second wedging surface (18) is in contact with the ground (8) the painter can again press with his foot (16) on it to stabilize the bucket (1) and improve its maintenance on the ground.

The bucket (1) according to the invention can therefore be stabilized by the tilted positioning of the handle (7) on one side or the other of the bucket (1) when its intermediate portion (10) is in contact with the ground (8). The grounding of the bucket (1) can also be reinforced by a support of the foot (17) of the painter in the direction of the ground (8) on the intermediate portion (10) of the handle (7). This support of the foot (17) can be done either from the front or from the rear with respect to the bucket, which advantageously allows the painter to effectively stabilize his bucket (1) whether he himself is positioned in front or behind the bucket (1).

When the bucket (5) according to the invention comprises a drying ramp (12) and the handle (7) is preferably placed in a substantially central position with respect to the longitudinal axis of the flange (6) of the bucket (1) , the weight of the paint contained in the bucket (1) naturally switches the latter forward.

In order to prevent the bucket (1) from tipping forward when carried by the handle (7), the flange (6) of the bucket (1) has a first abutment surface (19, 19 ') bearing against the rear face of the substantially vertical portion (9, 9 ') of the handle (7). This first abutment surface (19, 19 ') thus blocks the rotation of the bucket (1) forward with respect to the handle (7), which makes it possible to prevent the bucket (1) from tilting towards the before when worn by the handle (7).

Note that the handle (7) has a thinned portion (20), for example in the form of a notch (20 '), provided in the middle of its intermediate portion (10) to facilitate its grip for transporting the bucket (1), especially when the wedging surface (14) is particularly wide and does not allow to take the handle (7) in hand satisfactorily.

In order to prevent the bucket (1) from tilting backwards when the handle (7) is in the tilted back position, the flange (6) of the bucket (1) has a second abutment surface (21, 21 ') bearing against the front face of the substantially vertical portion (9, 9 ') of the handle (7). This second abutment surface (21, 21 ') thus blocks the rotation of the bucket (1) rearwardly relative to the handle (7), which makes it possible to prevent the bucket (1) from tilting towards the back when the painter presses his painting tool against the spin line (12).

According to a variant of the invention, a slight clearance (H) is provided between the ground (8) and the bottom of the bucket (1) when the handle thereof is in the tilted position forward and / or in position tilted backwards.

This clearance (H) is in the form of a free space intended to shift the position of the bucket (1) upwards relative to the ground (8) while the intermediate portion (10) of the handle (7) is in contact with the ground (8).

The clearance (H) makes it possible to compensate for possible deformations of the bucket (1) and is caught when the painter presses with his foot (16) on the intermediate part (10) of the handle (7) towards the ground (8). The elastic deformation of the handle (7) when the painter presses with his foot (16) on the intermediate part (10) then makes it possible to catch this game (H) so that the bucket rests on the ground (8) by its bottom ( 2) stably.

The clearance (H) is of the order of 1 to 10 millimeters, preferably between 3 and 8 millimeters and more preferably between 5 and 7 millimeters.

Son éventuel basculement vers l'arrière, ainsi que tout mouvement de déport éventuel du seau (1) est alors empêché par l'appui du pied (16) du peintre sur la partie intermédiaire (10) de la anse (7).Note that when the handle (7) is in the tilted position before, the bucket does not tend to swing naturally forward, even when the painter plunges his paint tool in the bucket (1), because the front flank (3) the bucket (1) is preferably substantially vertical and a possible support on the front flank (3) does not cause the bucket (1) to tilt forward. Its eventual rearward tilting, as well as any movement of displacement of the bucket (1) is then prevented by the support of the foot (16) of the painter on the intermediate part (10) of the handle (7).

In general, the stability of the bucket (1) is also ensured by a flat shape of its bottom (2) provided to come into contact with the ground (8). This stability can also be improved by non-slip pads (22) or a non-slip surface provided under the bottom (2) of the bucket (1).

It is obvious that the present description is not limited to the examples explicitly described, but also includes other embodiments and / or Implementation. Thus, a described technical feature can be replaced by an equivalent technical characteristic without departing from the scope of the present invention and a described step of implementing the method can be replaced by an equivalent step without departing from the scope of the invention.
