Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to an assembly-type ornament and, more particularly, to an assembly-type ornament which includes an insert and a holder configured to be mated with each other and formed with a locking groove and a locking protrusion, respectively, wherein an inclined surface is formed at a front edge of the insert to eliminate a need for a separate coupling mechanism or an adhesive and to reduce mutual interference during assembly, thereby facilitating assembly.
- Generally, an ornament has various logos formed thereon or accessories attached thereto and is attached to clothes, bags and the like to display information of a product or to provide a pleasant appearance.
- Such an ornament is composed of a base having a display surface, to which a logo, an accessory or the like is attached, and a coupling member for securing the base to a product.
- The ornament may have various structures, for example, a structure in which the base is coupled to the coupling member through the product disposed therebetween, a structure in which the coupling member is attached to an outer surface of the product, and the like.
- However, in a typical ornament, since assembling a coupling member and a base having a decorative article formed thereon requires a separate assembly tool and application of adhesives, it takes a lot of time to manufacture the ornament. Particularly, when adhesives are used, the adhesives can be deformed due to an external factor, thereby causing reduction in adhesive strength.
- As one example of the related art, Korean Patent Publication No.
10-2011-0092597 (August 18, 2011 - It is one aspect of the present invention to provide an assembly-type ornament which includes an insert and a holder configured to be mated with each other and formed with a locking groove and a locking protrusion, respectively, wherein an inclined surface is formed at a front edge of the insert to eliminate a need for a separate coupling mechanism or an adhesive and to reduce mutual interference during assembly, thereby facilitating assembly.
- It is another aspect of the present invention to provide an assembly-type ornament which has cutout edges formed at a front end of a holder such that, when the holder is coupled to an insert, a front end of the holder can be elastically restored after extending outward, thereby further facilitating assembly.
- In accordance one aspect of the present invention, an assembly-type ornament includes: a male body placed on an outer surface of a coupling object having a mounting hole formed therethrough and including an insert protruding from one surface thereof to be inserted into the mounting hole and a locking groove formed along an outer circumferential surface of the insert; and a female body placed inside the coupling object and including a holder protruding from one surface thereof and formed with an insertion hole receiving the insert and a locking protrusion formed on an inner circumferential surface of the holder to be engaged with the locking groove.
- Preferably, the male body is formed at a front edge thereof with an inclined surface having a diameter gradually decreasing towards the front, the inclined surface guiding the locking protrusion rearwards while allowing the locking protrusion to expand outwards when the insert is inserted into the insertion hole.
- Preferably, the holder and the insert are formed at rear ends thereof with large-diameter portions, edges of which are locked on both surfaces of the coupling object, respectively.
- Preferably, the holder has a plurality of cutout edges formed at predetermined intervals along the outer circumferential surface of a front end thereof, the cutout edges allowing the front end of the holder to expand outwards when the insert is inserted into the insertion hole.
- Preferably, a decorative article is formed on or attached to a surface of the male body opposite the coupling object.
- Preferably, the insert has a cylindrical shape such that the outer surface thereof forms a circumference, and the holder has a cylindrical shape corresponding to the insert and is rotatable in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the holder is coupled to the insert.
- According to the present invention, the assembly-type ornament includes an insert and a holder configured to be mated with each other and formed with a locking groove and a locking protrusion, respectively, wherein an inclined surface is formed at a front edge of the insert to eliminate a need for a separate coupling mechanism or an adhesive and to reduce mutual interference during assembly, thereby facilitating assembly.
- In addition, according to the present invention, the assembly-type ornament has cutout edges formed at a front end of a holder, such that when the holder is coupled to an insert, a front end of the holder can be elastically restored after extending outward, thereby further facilitating assembly.

- In addition, detailed descriptions of known functions and constructions which can unnecessarily obscure the subject matter of the present invention will be omitted.

Figs. 1 to 5 , the assembly-type ornament according to the present invention includes amale body 100, afemale body 200, and acoupling object 10. - The
coupling object 10 may be a bag, a cloth or the like. Thecoupling object 10 is formed therethrough with amounting hole 11 for installation of the assembly-type ornament of the present invention. - The
male body 100 is placed on an outer surface of thecoupling object 10 when coupled to thefemale body 200 and includes aninsert 110 protruding from one surface thereof to be inserted into themounting hole 11. - Preferably, the
male body 100 is formed of a metallic or resin-based material (for example, an acrylic resin) capable of being elastically restored after deformation. - The
insert 110 is configured to be mated with aholder 210 described below and has ainsertion hole 220 formed through the center thereof. - Referring to
Fig. 1 , theinsert 110 may protrude in a cylindrical shape and themounting hole 11 of thecoupling object 10 may have a shape corresponding to theinsert 120. - In addition, the
insert 110 may include alocking groove 111 formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof. Thelocking groove 111 is a groove into which alocking protrusion 211 described below is locked. - As shown in
Fig. 1 , when theinsert 110 has a cylindrical shape, thelocking groove 111 may be continuously formed (in a ring shape) along the circumferential surface of theinsert 120. - Since the
locking groove 111 has a smaller outer diameter than theinsert 110, a step is formed between thelocking groove 111 and the outer circumferential surface of theinsert 110 due to the difference in diameter. - Further, a
decorative article 20 may be formed on or attached to a surface of the male body opposite thecoupling object 10. Here, the male body may have a groove or the like to which thedecorative article 20 can be attached. - In other words, a logo or the like is formed (for example, printed or molded) on one surface of the
male body 100, or an accessory or the like is attached to the surface of the male body to display a trademark or the like of thecoupling object 10 or to provide a pleasant appearance. - Furthermore, the
male body 100 is formed at a front edge thereof with aninclined surface 112 that has a diameter gradually decreasing toward the front. - The
inclined surface 112 serves to guide thelocking protrusion 211 rearwards while allowing thelocking protrusion 211 to expand outwards when theinsert 110 is inserted into theinsertion hole 220 of thecoupling object 10. - In other words, the
inclined surface 112 guides aholder 210 described below to be bent outwards while contacting a protruding end of thelocking protrusion 211, as shown inFig. 3 . - Thus, when the
insert 110 is mated with theholder 210 described below, a front end of theholder 210 can be easily slidably engaged without being caught by the front end of theinsert 110. - In addition, the
insert 110 is formed at a rear end thereof with alarge diameter portion 120 such that the periphery of thelarge diameter portion 120 can be caught by one surface of thecoupling object 10. Here, theinsert 110 protrudes from one surface of thelarge diameter portion 120. - The
female body 200 is coupled to themale body 100 inside thecoupling object 10. Here, thecoupling object 10 may be placed between thefemale body 200 and themale body 100. - Preferably, the
female body 200 is formed of a metal or resin-based material (for example, an acrylic resin) capable of being elastically restored after deformation. - The
female body 200 includes theholder 210 that protrudes from one surface of thefemale body 200 to be coupled to theinsert 110. Theholder 210 is formed therein with aninsertion hole 220 to receive theinsert 110. - In addition, the
holder 210 includes alocking protrusion 211 protruding from an inner circumferential surface thereof to be locked into thelocking groove 111 formed on the outer circumferential surface of theinsert 110. - Referring to
Fig. 1 , theholder 210 may protrude in a cylindrical shape and themounting hole 11 of thecoupling object 10 may have a shape corresponding to theinsert 110. - As shown in
Fig. 1 , when theinsert 110 has a cylindrical shape, thelocking protrusion 211 may be continuously formed (in a ring shape) along the circumferential surface of theinsert 110. - Since the locking
protrusion 211 has a greater outer diameter than theholder 210, a step is formed between the lockingprotrusion 211 and the inner circumferential surface of theholder 210 due to the difference in diameter. - In addition, the
holder 210 is formed at a rear end thereof with alarge diameter portion 230 such that the periphery of thelarge diameter portion 230 can be caught by the other surface of thecoupling object 10. Here, theholder 210 protrudes from one surface of thelarge diameter portion 230. - Referring to
Fig. 5 , a plurality of cutout edges 212 is formed at predetermined intervals along an outer circumferential surface of the front end of theholder 210. The cutout edges 212 serve to allow the front end of theholder 210 to expand outwards when theinsert 110 is inserted into theinsertion hole 220. - Here, the cutout edges 212 may have a predetermined length in a longitudinal direction and the number of the cutout edges 212 may vary as needed.
- The
holder 210 may have a cylindrical shape corresponding to theinsert 110. In this case, theholder 210 and theinsert 110 may be rotated in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the holder is coupled to the insert. - In other words, the
insert 110 can be rotated with respect to theholder 210, such that thedecorative article 20 attached to or formed on one surface of theholder 210 can be freely rotated. - In the assembly-type ornament according to the present invention, when the
insert 110 is inserted into theinsertion hole 220 of theholder 210, theinsert 110 is advanced with the inner circumferential surfaces of the lockingprotrusions 211 contacting theinclined surface 112 formed at the front end of theinsert 110. - Here, the locking
protrusions 211 expand outwards with the cutout edges 212 interposed therebetween. When theholder 210 is completely coupled to theinsert 110, the front end of theholder 210 is elastically restored to an original shape thereof. - As a result, the locking
protrusions 211 of theholder 210 are locked in the lockinggroove 111 of theinsert 110 so as not to be movable back and forth. - In this state, since the locking
protrusions 211 are interlocked with the lockinggroove 111, themale body 100 can be coupled to thefemale body 200 with thecoupling object 10 interposed therebetween. - Here, the
large diameter portion 120 of themale body 100 and thelarge diameter portion 230 of thefemale body 200 can hold both sides of thecoupling object 10 in both directions, respectively. - The assembly-type ornament according to the present invention includes the insert and the holder configured to be mated with each other and formed with the locking groove and the locking protrusion, respectively, wherein the inclined surface is formed at the front edge of the insert to eliminate a need for a separate coupling mechanism or an adhesive and to reduce mutual interference during assembly, thereby facilitating assembly.
- In addition, the assembly-type ornament according to the present invention has the cutout edges formed at the front end of the holder, such that when the holder is coupled to the insert, the front end of the holder can be elastically restored after extending outward, thereby further facilitating assembly.
- Although some embodiments have been described herein, it should be understood by those skilled in the art that these embodiments are given by way of illustration only, and that various modifications, variations and alterations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
- Therefore, the embodiments and the accompanying drawings are provided for illustration only and should not be construed as limiting the present invention.
- The scope of the invention should be interpreted according to the following appended claims as covering all modifications or variations derived from the appended claims and equivalents thereof.
Claims (6)
- An assembly-type ornament, comprising:a male body placed on an outer surface of a coupling object having a mounting hole formed therethrough, the male body comprising an insert protruding from one surface thereof to be inserted into the mounting hole and a locking groove formed along an outer circumferential surface of the insert; anda female body placed inside the coupling object, the female body comprising a holder protruding from one surface thereof and formed with an insertion hole receiving the insert, and a locking protrusion formed on an inner circumferential surface of the holder to be engaged with the locking groove.
- The assembly-type ornament according to claim 1, wherein the male body is formed at a front edge thereof with an inclined surface having a diameter gradually decreasing towards the front, the inclined surface guiding the locking protrusion rearwards while allowing the locking protrusion to expand outwards when the insert is inserted into the insertion hole.
- The assembly-type ornament according to claim 1, wherein the holder and the insert are formed at rear ends thereof with large-diameter portions, edges of which are locked on both surfaces of the coupling object, respectively.
- The assembly-type ornament according to claim 1, wherein the holder has a plurality of cutout edges formed at predetermined intervals along the outer circumferential surface of a front end thereof, the cutout edges allowing the front end of the holder to expand outwards when the insert is inserted into the insertion hole.
- The assembly-type ornament according to claim 1, wherein a decorative article is formed on or attached to a surface of the male body opposite the coupling object.
- The assembly-type ornament according to claim 1, wherein the insert has a cylindrical shape such that the outer surface thereof forms a circumference, and the holder has a cylindrical shape corresponding to the insert and is rotatable in a direction perpendicular to a direction in which the holder is coupled to the insert.
