Description

The invention relates to the technical field of musical instruments with free reeds, accordion-type or bandoneon.

This type of musical instrument, from the family of winds, is well known to a person skilled in the art.

Essentially, the accordion or the like uses a system of reeds, made of wood or metal, fixed on one side, and free to move on both sides of a rest position. The displacement of a column of air puts this reed in vibration, which is excited by a variable wind provided by a bellows actuated by the musician.

Generally, the instrument comprises at least one right box and one left box, movable relative to each other, according to movements of approximation or spacing relative to the bellows. The reeds are mounted on a support, commonly called bed base. A valve actuating mechanism, for opening and closing, allows the reeds to be solicited or not by the airflow.

For example, this actuating mechanism comprises keys and a register adapted to move slides provided with holes, and able to be moved from an inactive position to an active position, and vice versa, for the selection of a specific stamp.

We know, moreover, that the vibration of a reed is the result of a so-called relaxation phenomenon, so that such a vibration is not sinusoidal, and has many harmonics responsible for a typical family of stamps. , which harmonics are used to facilitate the tuning of low frequencies. The vibration frequency is virtually independent of the power of the air blast, the vibrating reed being able to act as a flow limiter.

Because of the very short wavelength of the most acute sounds produced, one often finds stationary wave phenomena, the propagation of which faces certain obstacles, such as the springboard which supports the plates, the valves, .. ..... Such phenomena can weaken or even neutralize the sound produced.

It is also known, by teaching the document EP 2,908,311 , of which the Applicant hereof is also a holder, an accordion-type instrument with specific characteristics, allowing to play felted sounds, without decreasing the sound volume, and to obtain unsaturated sounds.

In particular, according to the teaching of this document, the right box of the accordion comprises a cap covering the valves, and closing said box. This cover has a bottom wall, an upper wall, and side walls integral with the inner and upper walls. The bottom wall has a width less than the width of the opening of the boxes. The upper walls also have a width less than the width of the opening of the box, so that said inner and top walls are offset to form a baffle for the outgoing air.

From this state of the art, the problem that the invention proposes to solve is to amplify the harmonics, while limiting the saturation of the sounds emitted.

To solve such a problem, it has been designed and developed a device for amplifying the harmonics of a musical instrument with free reeds, solicited by an air flow, of the accordion or bandoneon type, which device comprises at least one removable independent case having arrangements for modifying the flow of air, wherein said casing (s) being disposed within the instrument.

It follows therefore from these characteristics that the casing is totally independent of the musical instrument in question, being able to be fixed by any known and appropriate means inside said instrument, in other words, without having to make any modifications. on the instrument.
