  • the snus mixture (herein referred to as smokeless tobacco composition) is produced by batch processing and should be carried out in a closed system to minimize the risk of contamination from bacteria or foreign substances. Since automatic feeding of tobacco and the other ingredients is preferred, the whole process may be computer controlled and can be run day and night, all week around.
  • the process normally starts with loading of tobacco material in powder form (tobacco flour), water, sodium chloride (NaCl) and possibly additional ingredients, into a cylindrical blender. Loading is done while stirring. The loaded materials are mixed to a homogeneous blend, which is heated by injection of steam. The blend is then kept heated for several hours with support of steam to ensure reduction of the natural bacterial flora in the tobacco and to bring texture, taste and colour to the snus blend.   • Air permeability of the nonwoven was measured according to standard test method WSP 070.1.R3(12). In this test, the air flow passes through the tested material from the face side to the back of the material. The test area was 20 cm 2 . The pressure drop was 200 Pa.
  • Heat sealing strength of the nonwoven, in dry state was measured according to an in-house method of Swedish Match: A strip of nonwoven having a length of about 1 m in the MD direction of the nonwoven and a width of 40 mm in the CD direction of the nonwoven is cut out. The strip is double-folded to obtain a two-ply material, which is about 0.5 m long. The two plies are welded to each other in a HS-2 laboratory heat sealer from RDM equipment. The dimensions of upper and lower seal bars are 50 mm x 5 mm. The seal bars are applied such that the 50 mm direction is perpendicular to the length direction of the double-folded strip. The upper seal bar is heated to 300°C. The lower seal bar is not heated.
  • the force used to press the seal bars against the nonwoven is 0.24 kN and the contact time is 0.06 s.
  • a number of seals are formed in the double-folded strip, see thick grey lines in Figure 1 .

  • Wetting properties of the nonwoven material may be measured using the standard test method Tappi T-558-06.
  • the initial water contact angle of the nonwoven materials is measured. Further, the water contact angle of the nonwoven materials is measured after 12 seconds.
  • Water retardation time (WTR) is the time it takes for the contact angle to reach below 90°. The material is wetted when the contact angle reaches below 90°. The change in base diameter of the water droplet after 12 seconds indicates the spreading of the water.
  • Percentage of open (surface) area of the nonwoven material was measured according to an in-house method of Swedish Match: A Carl Zeiss Axio Vision stereo microscope was utilized at 2.5X. An image analysis software called ZEN Lite 2013 was used to make a colour histograms for levels between 0 and 255. The histograms have two peaks, one representing the fibres and one representing the pores. A threshold of level 150 was used. The threshold is located in between the two peaks of the histograms. Hence levels from 0 to 149 are taken as an open surface in the material, i.e. a pore. The total number of pixels was 4 915 200. Five measurements were made for each material. Percentage of open area was calculated as (no of pixels below 150)/(total no of pixels) expressed as %.
  • Example 1A For Example 1A the average count of 5 replicates was 884 392, standard deviation was 195 131. Hence the open area is about 18% of the total area. See Figure 3 showing a microscopy image of Example 1A.
  • the porosity (pore volume distribution) of the nonwoven may be measured using liquid extrusion porosimetry (LEP). This method is, for instance, described in Jena, Akshaya; Gupta, Krishna, Advances in Filtration and Separation Technology (2003), 16, 133-138 .

Claims (15)

  1. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale comprenant une matière de remplissage et un sachet perméable à la salive renfermant la matière de remplissage, le sachet comprenant un non-tissé comprenant des fibres discontinues de cellulose régénérée et un agent liant, les fibres discontinues de cellulose régénérée comprenant des fibres discontinues de lyocell,
    caractérisé en ce que
    le non-tissé est un non-tissé cardé obtenu par voie sèche se composant d'une seule couche de bande ;
    le non-tissé a une orientation de fibre principale, et
    le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche a un poids de base d'au plus 25 g/m2, tel qu'à l'intérieur de la plage de 20 g/m2 à 25 g/m2 ou de 20 g/m2 à 23 g/m2.
  2. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel au moins 50 %, tel qu'au moins 70 % ou au moins 90 %, des fibres discontinues de cellulose régénérée sont des fibres discontinues de lyocell.
  3. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les fibres discontinues de cellulose régénérée se composent de fibres discontinues de lyocell.
  4. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les fibres discontinues de lyocell sont dépourvues d'agent blanchissant, tel que du dioxyde de titane.
  5. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les fibres discontinues de lyocell ont une longueur de fibre à l'intérieur de la plage de 20 à 60 mm, tel qu'à l'intérieur de la plage de 35 à 45 mm.
  6. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel les fibres discontinues de lyocell ont une densité de masse linéaire dans la plage de 1,0 à 2,2 décitex, tel que dans la plage de 1,5 à 2,0 décitex ou de 1,6 à 1,8 décitex.
  7. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche a une épaisseur d'au plus 180 µm, tel qu'à l'intérieur de la plage de 100 µm à 180 µm ou de 100 µm à 170 µm.
  8. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche a une perméabilité à l'air d'au moins 4400 l/m2/s, tel qu'au moins 4600 l/m2/s ou au moins 4800 l/m2/s.
  9. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche dans un état sec a un rapport MD/CD de résistance à la traction dans la plage de 6 à 12, tel que dans la plage de 7 à 10.
  10. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche a une résistance au thermocollage à sec d'au moins 0,17 N/mm, de préférence d'au moins 0,19 N/mm, avec plus de préférence d'au moins 0,21 N/mm.
  11. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche a une aire ouverte d'au moins 12 %, tel qu'au moins 15 %, telle que mesurée en utilisant le procédé décrit dans les présentes.
  12. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche comprend à l'intérieur de la plage de 55 à 70 % en poids de fibres discontinues lyocell, sur la base du poids sec total du non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche.
  13. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche comprend à l'intérieur de la plage de 30 à 45 % en poids de l'agent liant, sur la base du poids sec total du non-tissé obtenu par voie sèche.
  14. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, qui est un produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale sélectionné dans le groupe se composant d'un produit de tabac sans fumée en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale, un produit à priser sans nicotine et sans tabac en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale et un produit à priser contenant de la nicotine et sans tabac en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale.
  15. Produit à priser en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, qui est un produit de tabac sans fumée en sachet destiné à une utilisation orale post-hydraté.
