Description

A CLAMPING UNIT FOR EGG PACKAGING MACHINES
DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL FIELD The invention is about the clamping unit that includes in the packaging machine enabling the product to be packaged without any thermal (shrinking) process for different amounts in egg packaging sector.
PRIOR ART
Shrinking (PVC, Polyolefin Film) packaging method comprises 80% of packaging methods in egg sector while 20% of product packaging is conducted by putting cardboard, foam, plastic etc.caps.
Packaging with shrinkage method is completed through duration of egg packaging, labelling the product from the manufacturer, covering the whole package with shrink (pvc, polyolefin) and finally going through the heat tunnel between 250-300 degrees for 10-15 seconds for the package to be drawn.
The disadvantage of shrinkage method which the sector mainly uses is that shrink (pvc, pof etc.fim) is exposed to 250-300 degrees heat for 10-15 seconds to take the form of packaging product. In this case, the product packaged by shrink has no air contact, the product is exposed to high temperature heat and while it receives high temperature heat, as the packaging project is completed, heated air stores itself in the package for a while. Mentioned cases lose freshness of the product in a short time and accordingly shorten shelf-life severely. In countries that have poor control mechanism it may threaten people's health.
In terms of the operator, the disadvantage of this packaging method is that it increases sold product return rates and affect operating costs negatively. These disadvantages are eliminated. As the nature of eggs, the product which was supposed to be stored between 5-12 degrees, it used to be packaged exposing to 300 degrees through shrinking as any alternative packaging machine did not exist. While packaging is performed with 3 main matters as upper table, lower table and shrink in the present model, packaging is performed without any need for shrink with the invention. This case eliminates the phase of high level heat tunnel to which the product is exposed.
In patent application with numbered 2013/05604 and "new technology for packaging machine" title; a clamping machine in which plastic voyol pins holed in cardboard voyol are heated by 50-60 °C and clamped to the hole squashed between moving upper punch and lower punch through a pneumatic piston is mentioned.
The clamping unit for the mentioned case of the art has moving lower and upper punches and operates only with pneumatic piston. The invention arouses through the developlmen of the clamping unit for the mentioned case and differently it has a fixed upper punch and a moving lower punch. Moreover, it is used by integrating servo motor system or ac drive system with cam system. As both lower and upper punches were moving in the old art, cam system could not be used. Movement of upper punch is inconvenient for cam system.
In the clamping unit for the mentioned case of the art, while movement number of lower and upper punch is four, with the invention upper punch is fixed by eliminating the piston connected to upper plate. With this form, only lower plate is mobilized in the machine and thus movement number of lower punch is reduced to 2 and clamping pace is increased.
As upper plate becomes fixed here, less parts are demounted for the following maintenance and repair. Moreover, as the movement number is reduced from 4 to 2, the number of working parts is decreased. Wtih this case, abrasion declines in half for the following periods. As a result, the number of parts that may break down is reduced.
With the invention, it is facilitated to use hydraulic-powered piston and choice diversity is provided for customers. The fact that upper punch is fixed and lower punch is moving provide service concession.
DESCRIPTION FOR THE INVENTION
Packaging method provided by the clamping unit for the invention is that mounting table in which eggs are placed and self-pinned lid which are placed on the table for eggs through the holes in lower table. The cardboard voyol (10) full of eggs that are placed on the conveyor inlet of the packaging machine is firstly drilled in a convenient size for plastic voyol pins (1 1 ) to pass through between upper punch (7) and lower punch (5) in drilling unit for the packaging machine. Prepared by drilling, the cardboard voyol (10) is cut into halves from the center with bandshaw rotated by electric motor in cutting unit of the packaging machine in order to prepare two 15-voyol by cutting in the middle if requested.
Cardboard voyols (10) that are cut or not cut arrives automatic lid closing unit of the packaging machine and here they are installed in such a way to mount plastic voyol pins (1 1 ) on cardboard voyol pin holes (12) drilled in drilling station and it is transferred to the clamping unit (1 ).
The work of the clamping unit (1 ) for the invention subject is to provide clamping plastic voyol (9) inserted on 30 or 15-cardboard voyol (10) in such a way to mount pins (1 1 ) on pin holes (12) in automatic lid closing unit.
The clamping unit (1 1 ) consists of a fixed upper punch (7) and a moving lower punch (5) enabling cardboard voyol (10) and plastic voyol (9) to be clamped crushing pins (1 1 ) inserted into pin holes (12).
Cardboard voyol (10) arriving the clamping unit (1 ) inserting a plastic voyol (9) on the cardboard one is lifted with piston (3) and leaned on stopper lama (4). The said stopper lama (4) has at least one lifting piston (3). The said piston (3) is hydraulic or pneumatic-driven.
Up and down movement of the lower punch (5) for the clamping unit (1 ) is performed with hydraulic or pneumatic piston (2) as well as with cam (14) connected to servo or ac motor (15). Here cardboard voyol (10) and plastic voyol (9) arriving the clamping unit (1 ) leans on stopper lama (4). Meanwhile, the lowest point of cam (14) is leaned on cam shaft (13). During clamping, cam (14) is leaned the highest point of cam shaft (13) by rotating 180 degrees. Therefore, cam shaft (13) lifts lower punch (5) and cardboard voyol (10) inserted in punch bushing (6) is lifted. Pins (1 1 ) of plastic voyol (9) inserted into pin holes (12) in cardboard voyol (10) are clamped into the hole crushing fixed upper punch (7) and moving lower punch (5).

When the said cam shaft (13) leans on cardboard voyol (10) stopper lama (4), it is leaned on the lowest point of the cam (14). The highest point of the said cam (14) is leaned on cam shaft (13) by rotating about 180 degrees during clamping and cam shaft (13) activates lower punch (5) by rotating.
The said upper punch (7) and lower punch (5) is heated about 50-60° C preferrably.
As plastic voyol (9) is in lid position, eggs are visible. Moreover, as cardboard voyols (10) arrive as free of charge from egg producers, packaging costs are reduced regarding counterparts and eggs have longevity as they are not exposed to any high temperature.
The preferred practice of the clamping unit for the invention subject is explained and the invention complies with claims.

Claims

Egg packaging machines for the invention has clamping units and the following characteristics are characterized with;
- upper punches (7) fixed in upper plate (1 .a) of the clamping unit and moving lower punches (5)
- at least one stopper lama (4) stopping cardboard voyol (10) that comes to the clamping unit (1 )
- at least one hydraulic or pneumatic piston (3) lifting stopper lama (4)
- at least one punch bushing (6) where cardboard voyol (10) is mounted
- clamps (8) enabling pins (1 1 ) to interlock with pin holes (12)
- at least one pneumatic or hydraulic piston (2) or ac or servo motor (15) lifting punch bushing (6),
- lower plate (1 .b) of the clamping unit, ac or servo motor (15) and motor mounting plate (16) integrated with cam(14),
- cam (14) that ac or servo motor (15) lifts upwards,
- cam shaft (13) lifting lower punch (5) by moving cam (14)
The invention is in accordance with claim 1 and its characteristic is characterized with cam shaft (13) leaning on the lowest point of cam (14) when cardboard voyol (10) leans on stopper lama (4).
The invention is in accordance with claim 1 and its characteristic is characterized with cam (14) whose highest point is leaned on cam shaft (13) by rotating approximately 180 degrees during the clamping.
The invention is in accordance with claim 1 and its characteristic is characterized with upper (7) and lower punch (5) heated approximately in 50-60° C preferably.
