Description

The invention relates to a gap sealing element, which is provided for sealing a gap below a sliding door or a larger, referred to as gate sliding door. From the WO 2015/001096 A1 For example, a magnetic gap sealing tape is known.

In practice, it is known to seal sliding doors using linear brushes. In particular, in front doors, which are exposed to the weather, and whose door leaves are moved above a floor, which is also exposed to the weather, it can come in practice to increases the ground, for example, for lifting tiles or floor panels due to frost. If this reduces the gap that the brush is to bridge over, the brush is correspondingly strongly deformed and its wear accelerated. If, after the frost period, the floor lowers again, because it is used or driven, and as a result, the gap width increases again below the sliding door, the bristles of the brush are not always reliably back completely, also can be due to the meantime increased wear under Circumstances a complete gap bridging can not be guaranteed.

The invention has for its object to provide a Spaltabdichtungselement that is easily assembled and disassembled, is wear-resistant and has a correspondingly long life, and its mounting position on a door with simple means is adjustable. Furthermore, the invention has for its object to provide a Spaltabdichtungsanordnung which allows the aforementioned advantages in the sealing of the gap below a sliding door.

This object is achieved by a gap sealing element according to claim 1 and by a gap sealing arrangement according to claim 11. Advantageous embodiments are described in the subclaims.

The proposed gap sealing element on the one hand has a central position, which consists of metal and thus gives the gap sealing element excellent stability.

On the back side, the gap sealing element is provided with a magnetic adhesive layer. The magnetic mounting secures high withdrawal forces across the surface normal of the door leaf or the Spaltabdichtungselements and thus causes an excellent grip of the gap sealing element on the door. On the other hand, however, the magnetic mounting easily allows a displacement of the gap sealing element on the door, overcoming displacement forces acting parallel to the door leaf or the gap sealing element and are lower than the withdrawal forces, so that the position of the gap sealing element can be easily corrected.

This correction option concerns firstly the adjustment of the gap sealing element when it is first mounted on the sliding door. Secondly, however, this also concerns the possibility that the gap sealing element can avoid obstacles without destroying it by sliding against the sliding door, avoiding the obstacle. This comes the longevity the Spaltabdichtungselements benefit, because accordingly damage the Spaltabdichtungselements can be avoided. And then the gap sealing element can easily be moved back again, in favor of an optimal bridging of the gap.

On the front of the metallic middle layer is provided with a textile-like deformable surface element. The fact that this surface element protrudes beyond the metallic center layer, it may be the area surrounding the door leaf optimally sealing and thereby, for example, also bridge irregularities in the course of a floor below the door. Due to the combination of the metallic middle layer and the surface element, the gap sealing element has an otherwise not achieved combination of advantages, namely on the one hand to be as strong as a sheet and on the other hand as flexible as a brush.

In this case, this deformable surface element can advantageously extend downwards by about 0.5 cm beyond the middle layer, so that on the one hand optimal adaptation to the substrate is ensured by sufficient deformability on the basis of the length of 0.5 cm, but on the other hand it secures comparatively short length of 0.5 cm sufficient rigidity of the surface element, for example, the gap effectively against small animals such. As rodents, especially mice, seal. If the gap between the door leaf and the substrate is greater than 0.5 cm, the rigid center layer of the gap sealing element reduces this originally existing gap width and the remaining gap below the middle layer is sealed by the planar element. Assuming further that the surface element not only stands up on the ground, but rather is deformed and rests the ground with a certain bending and under a bias, the effective gap width below the central position is less than the extent to which the surface element protrudes beyond the middle layer. If this supernatant for example 0.5 cm and the effective gap width is correspondingly even lower, it is possible by means of the gap sealing element effective protection against rodents.

If the substrate under the door is optimally smooth, for example, in a seamless surface, the projection of the surface element can be significantly reduced, for example, to a value of only 0.5 mm, so that the metallic center layer actually reaches almost to the ground and the Surface element practically without deformation with its lower narrow edge rests on the ground.

As a "textile deformable" while a surface element is referred to, which is not comparatively rigid, such as a wood or metal plate, but which can be reversibly deformed like a textile surface element, as z. B. of a textile surface element is known, which can be rolled or folded or from which z. B. a bag or the like can be produced. Even if such a three-dimensional deformability is not provided in the context of the present proposal is to be expressed by the term "textile-like deformability" of the proposal for the surface eligible material that, for example, textile surface elements such as woven, knitted or the like, or that For example, films, or that, for example, a combination thereof in the form of fiber-reinforced films, can be used. The surface elements which can be used according to the proposal can, for example, be collectively referred to as tarpaulins. In the following, therefore, the starting material used is always referred to as a tarpaulin, regardless of whether it is a film, a textile element, or a fiber-reinforced film.

The middle layer may preferably consist of a metal sheet, which comparatively stiff and accordingly is poorly deformable, and which offers better protection against bite compared to plastics. The metal sheet may be an aluminum sheet, or, advantageously, a steel sheet.

The front layer can be mounted as a comparatively narrow strip only in the lower region of the middle layer at this. Advantageously, however, it can cover the entire front side of the middle layer, so that the most uniform, inconspicuous visual appearance of the gap sealing element is supported. In particular, the color scheme of the front layer can be adapted to the rest of the door, namely either as similar as possible, or deliberately contrasting color.

Advantageously, the front layer can be configured as a film, which has a fiber reinforcement, and which is referred to as a tarpaulin due to their material thickness. In practical tests, for example, so-called truck tarpaulins have proven to be extremely effective, on the one hand because of their wear resistance and on the other hand because of their economic availability.

The magnetic adhesive layer can be firmly connected to the middle layer, so that the gap sealing element can be mounted without tools on, for example, steel door frames or door leaves / door wings. However, the magnetic adhesive layer can be configured as a separate component, so that it can be mounted, for example, on a non-ferromagnetic sliding door and then in turn allows the magnetic support of the central position, if it consists of a ferromagnetic material, for. B. in the form of a steel sheet.

If the magnetic adhesive layer is fixedly connected to the central layer, mounting of the gap sealing element on a non-ferromagnetic sliding door can be made possible by using an additional mounting rail. The mounting strip is in turn firmly mounted on the sliding door, for example glued or screwed. The mounting strip consists of a ferromagnetic material, which cooperates with the magnetic adhesive layer and this provides excellent grip. For example, the mounting rail made of sheet steel or a magnetic material, for. As a so-called magnetic film, which is commercially available in different thicknesses and stiffnesses. The advantages of being able to move the adhesive layer, the middle layer and the surface element of the gap sealing element on the door are also possible when using the additional mounting strip.

The bonding of the mounting strip can be easily made possible in that the mounting strip has a self-adhesive back. The screwing of the mounting strip can be simplified in that the mounting strip has holes which allow a screw mounting, so are adapted in terms of their diameter and their arrangement or distribution in the mounting bar to the recording of the mounting screws.

According to the proposal, the gap sealing element is designed as an elongated strip. In this case, advantageously, the gap sealing element can be folded at one of the two ends of this narrow strip, so that this beveled end can extend in front of the narrow edge of the respective door leaf. In this way, the best possible sealing of the gap is made possible, namely not only below the sliding door, but also laterally in the lower region as high as the gap sealing element extends on the door leaf. When installing the gap sealing element for the first time, this can be deliberately mounted with a large lateral projection on the door leaf. When the sliding door is then guided into its closed position, the folded end of the gap sealing element against an obstruction such as against a second door leaf of the sliding door, or a door frame, or the masonry of a building. Due to the magnetic holder the gap sealing element is moved on the sliding door, so that it rests in the distortion of the sliding door the mentioned obstacle gap-free. As a result, an additional seal, in particular an additional protection, for example, against the intrusion of rodents is effected.

The fact that the proposed gap sealing element has a very low height on the door leaf, for example, only about 2 mm, it can also be mounted on sliding doors, which dip into a compartment which rests very closely to the door leaf. Such a compartment may for example be created between a building wall and a wall paneling. Even if a sliding door is provided with two door leaves, one of which is movable and the other either fixed or also movable, so that in any case these two leaves do not abut each other frontally, but run parallel to each other, a proposed gap seal can be mounted easily in most cases while seal brushes often have a build-up height from the face of the door panel of 1 cm or more.

Dabei zeigt

Fig. 1
Fig. 2
The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to the purely schematic illustrations. It shows
Fig. 1
a first embodiment of a Spaltabdichtungselements in perspective view obliquely from above, and
Fig. 2
a gap sealing arrangement in which a second embodiment of a gap sealing element is used.

In the drawings, 1 each denotes a gap sealing element, which has a metallic center layer 2 in the form of a steel sheet, and a rear magnetic adhesive layer 3, which is designed as a magnetic sheet. At the front, the gap sealing element 1 has a textile-like deformable surface element 4, which is configured in the illustrated embodiments in each case as a truck tarpaulin. Overall, the gap sealing element 1 is configured as an elongated strip which has a bevelled area 5 at one of its two front ends.

In the embodiment of the Fig. 1 extends the surface element 4 as a narrow strip only over a small part of the height of the metallic center layer 2. It protrudes beyond the central layer 2 by about 0.5 cm down.

In Fig. 2 a gap sealing arrangement is shown which has 2 sliding doors 6, wherein these two sliding doors 6 can also be referred to as a sliding door system with 2 door leaves. Both sliding doors 6 have a metallic frame 7, which consists of steel, and held in the frame 7 door panel 8, for example made of glass. The two sliding doors 6 do not run parallel to each other in the illustrated embodiment, but in the same plane optionally apart in an open position or each other in the in Fig. 2 illustrated closed position.

Each of the two sliding doors is provided with a gap sealing element 1, which is mounted in front of the lower, horizontal portion of the respective frame 7 and is held with its magnetic adhesive layer 3 directly to the frame 7. The two bevelled areas 5 are located in front of the mutually facing end faces of the two sliding doors 6 and lie against each other without a gap.

The textile-like deformable surface elements 4 each extend over the entire surface in front of the middle layers 2 of the two gap sealing elements 1. With their projection projecting downwards over the middle layer 2, and in which the two surface elements 4 are curved, the surface elements 4 sealingly rest on a base 9 on.
