It should be note that any other materials may readily be used for the splint body (or splint core) that have self- supporting property and suitable for permanent deformation in any way, in particular by hand.

Abstract

L'invention concerne une attelle de poignet (10), comprenant un corps d'attelle (11) comprenant une première partie attelle allongée (14) formée pour s'adapter sensiblement à l'avant-bras (22) et à la main (23) d'un patient dans la région de cubitus et d'os métacarpien du petit doigt (29) ; une seconde partie attelle allongée (15) formée pour s'adapter sensiblement à l'avant-bras (22) et à la main (23) d'un patient dans la région de radius (33) et d'os métacarpien de l'indexe (26) ; au moins deux éléments de liaison (16, 17) entre les première et seconde parties attelles allongées (14, 15), les éléments de liaison (16, 17) étant formés pour s'adapter sensiblement au côté dorsal de l'avant-bras (22) ou à la main (23) ; et une languette faisant saillie latéralement (12) formée en tant que partie intégrante de la première partie attelle (14) à sa première extrémité, ladite languette (12) étant formée pour s'adapter sensiblement à la main (23) d'un patient dans la région d'hypothénar. L'attelle de poignet (10) comprend en outre au moins un élément de fixation amovible non-extensible (30, 31, 32) pour fixer le corps d'attelle (11) à l'avant-bras (23) et à la main (22) d'un patient. Le corps d'attelle est constitué d'un matériau sensiblement rigide mais déformable de façon permanente.
