Description
- The present invention relates to a configuration which enables the mounting of a jack kit used for changing tire in all vehicles, mounting inside itself, its mounting inside a vehicle, and enables these mountings to remain fixed when the vehicle is moving.
- In the current applications, additional materials which are larger in volume and have nondurable material and shown in
Figure 7 and Figure 8 are used for enabling mounting of the components on the vehicle. This situation increases the cost of the components, and the use of nondurable materials prevents the product from functioning during its life. - Problems such as disintegration, fragmentation are experienced in time in EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) material (
Figure 7 ) which is used for enabling the mounting of the jack kit on the vehicle. The mounting members manufactured from EPP material take more space in volume, they are heavy and they are high cost. EPP material is affected from temperature changes. In EPP material, even compatibility is provided in terms of dimension, unwanted noise problems occur in time in the vehicle since it is a flexible material. - Plastic materials (
Figure 8 ) also take more space in volume and they are high cost. In plastic material, even compatibility is provided in terms of dimension, unwanted noise problems occur in time in the vehicle since it is also a flexible material. - One of known prior-art document is related to the subject is
CN203419712U . This utility model discloses a portable sedan-mounted jack. A said jack comprises; a fixing groove on jack and fixing member on the lug wrench. - Consequently, due to the disadvantages mentioned above and inadequacy of current solutions regarding the subject, there has been a requirement for making improvements in the related technical field.
- The invention is created by being inspired by current situations and aims to solve the disadvantages abovementioned.
- By means of the configuration according to the invention, no additional material is required for the mounting of the jack kit inside itself and mounting to the vehicle. Therefore, the materials used for mounting are cheaper in cost and lighter than the applications in the prior art. It is preferred in automotive sector because of these features.
- The jack kit according to the invention will preserve the detail parts which the jack will carry on itself in stable position, allow the detail parts to be removed and attached more easily and with less force when it is necessary, and it will enable the jack kit to be mounted to the vehicle together with the detail parts which it carries thereon without requiring additional material.
- In the configuration according to the invention, by means of not using EPP material, problems such as disintegration and fragmentation experienced in EPP material used in current applications will not be experienced.
- In order to fulfill the abovementioned purposes, a jack kit has been developed according with
claim 1. - Said jack kit comprises
- a jack,
- a lug wrench,
- a mounting hole which is used in fixing said lug wrench to the vehicle and formed on the lug wrench,
- both together which fixes the lug wrench to the jack;
- ∘ fixing groove which is formed on said jack, and in which the end part of the lug wrench is attached; and
- ∘ at least one fixing member which is formed on said lug wrench.
- Said fixing member is in form of a hook positioned on one of the rivets inside the jack base of the jack.
- In a further configuration of the invention, there can be two fixing members on the lug wrench. One of said fixing members is in form of a connecting tab positioned on the fixing surface on the jack base of the jack. The other fixing member, as it is mentioned before, is in form of a hook positioned on the rivet inside the jack base of the jack.
- All structural and characteristic features and all advantages of the invention will be understood better by means of the detailed description with reference to the figures given below and for this reason the evaluation should be done by taking into consideration said figures and the detailed description.

Figure 1a is a top perspective view of a preferred configuration of the jack kit according to the invention. -

Figure 2 is the perspective view of a preferred configuration of the lug wrench according to the invention. - In
Figure 3a , the drawings are given, which shows the mounting of the connecting tab, which is the fixing member, enabling the lug wrench to be fixed to the jack in the jack kit shown inFigure 1a . - In
Figure 3b , the drawings are given, which shows fixing groove enabling the lug wrench to the jack and how the mounting is performed in the jack kit shown inFigure 1a . -
Figure 3c is the top perspective view of the state of the jack kit shown inFigure 1a after the lug wrench is mounted to the jack kit. -
Figure 4 is a top perspective view of another preferred configuration of the jack kit according to the invention. - In
Figure 5a , the drawings are given, which shows the mounting of the hook, which is the fixing member, enabling the lug wrench to be fixed to the jack in the jack kit shown inFigure 4 . - In
Figure 5b , the drawings are given, which shows fixing groove enabling the lug wrench to the jack and how the mounting is performed in the jack kit shown inFigure 4 . -
Figure 5c is the top perspective view of the state of the jack kit shown inFigure 4 after the lug wrench is mounted to the jack kit. -
Figure 6 shows the mounting of jack kit on the vehicle. -
Figure 7 is the apparatus manufactured from EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) material and used for enabling the mounting of the jack kit on the vehicle in prior art. -
Figure 8 is the apparatus manufactured from plastic material and used for enabling the mounting of the jack kit on the vehicle in prior art. -

31. Retainer - It is not essential to necessarily scale the drawings, and the details which are not necessary to understand the present invention may be ignored. Aside from this, the members which are substantially identical at least or have substantially identical functions at least are shown with same reference numbers.
- In this detailed description, the preferred configurations of the jack kit (A) according to the invention are only explained for better understanding the subject.
- The jack kit (A) according to the invention is comprised of jack (1) and lug wrench (2).
- The jack (1) is an intermediate product which enables the mounting of the lug wrench (2) thereon and enables the jack kit (A) to be mounted on the vehicle after the mounting by using its geometric form.
- The lug wrench (2) is the product which enables the mounting to the jack (1) by means of its geometric form and mounting the jack kit (A) to the vehicle by means of the mounting holes (22) provided thereon.
- In the jack kit (A) according to the invention, the new features relative to the current technique are the fixing groove (111) formed on the jack (1) and at least one fixing member (21) formed on the lug wrench (2) in order to enable the lug wrench (2) to be fixed to the jack (1). The sizes of the jacks (1) may be different. For this reason, as well as having the same function, the form of said fixing member (21) differs according to the jacks (1) in different sizes. Below, the features of the configurations formed for two jacks (1) having different sizes and the mounting processes will be explained.
- In
Figure 1a the top perspective view of a preferred configuration of the jack kit (A) according to the invention is given. InFigure 1b the top perspective view of the configuration shown inFigure 1a is given. - The fixing groove (111) formed in the jack kit (A) shown in
Figure 1a is shown inFigure 3b . The fixing groove (111) is formed on the jack top step (11), in a scale in which the end part (23) of the lug wrench (23) can enter. Besides, in the jack kit (A) shown inFigure 1a , the fixing member (21) formed on the lug wrench (2) is formed in form of a connecting tab (211). Said connecting tab (211) form can be seen in drawings inFigure 3a . In said configuration of the jack (1) and said configuration of the lug wrench (2), the mounting of the lug wrench (2) to the jack (1) is realized as follows: The connecting tab (211) provided on the lug wrench (2) is first attached to the fixing surface (131) present on the jack base (13) which is the determined area on the jack (1), as it is shown inFigure 3a . The end part (23) of the lug wrench (2) is also attached to the fixing groove (111) located on the jack top step (11) of the jack (1), as it is also shown inFigure 3a . Then the jack (1) is closed a little and the lug wrench (2) is compressed, and the mounting of the lug wrench (2) to the jack (1) is completed, and the jack kit takes its form shown inFigure 3c . - As it is mentioned above, by using the same lug wrench (2), mounting can be provided in different forms for different sizes of the jacks (1) in said type.
- In
Figure 4 top perspective view of another preferred configuration of the jack kit according to the invention is given. - The fixing groove (111) formed in the jack kit (A) shown in
Figure 4 is shown inFigure 2b . Said fixing groove (111) is also formed on the jack top step (11), in a scale in which the end part (23) of the lug wrench (23) can enter. In the jack kit (A) shown inFigure 4 , the fixing member (21) formed on the lug wrench (2) is formed in form of a hook (212). Said hook (212) form can be seen in drawings inFigure 5a . In said configuration of the jack (1) and said configuration of the lug wrench (2), the mounting of the lug wrench (2) to the jack (1) is realized as follows: The end of the lug wrench (2), on which the hook (212) is located, is placed inside the jack base (13). Therefore, the hook (212) is located on the outer part of one of the rivets (12) present inside the jack base (13). The side surface (24) located in front of the hook (212) is positioned on the outer part of the other rivet (12). Therefore, the right and left movement of the lug wrench (2) that can be caused by the quakes is prevented by means of the hook (212). The end part (2d) of the lug wrench is attached to the fixing groove (111) located on the jack (1) as it is shown inFigure 5b . Therefore, up and down movement of the lug wrench (2) is prevented. After said mounting, the movement of the lug wrench (2) is limited and it is enabled to be comprised inside the jack (1). Then the jack (1) is closed a little. InFigure 5c , the state of the jack kit (A) in a said configuration after mounting and its final state after the jack (1) is closed is seen. - In the jack kit (A), by means of the fixing groove (111) in different forms and the fixing member (21) in different forms, for jack (1) models different from each other, it is possible to mount the same lug wrench (2) in different ways.
- The mounting of the jack kit (A) according to the invention to the vehicle is realized as follows: First, lug wrench (2) and other parts, if present, are connected on the jack (1). Then the jack kit (A) is placed on the metal sheet piece present in the trunk cavity (3) of the vehicle. Then, by means of the retainer (31) passed through the mounting hole (2c) on the lug wrench (2) of the jack kit (A) and connected to the vehicle, the jack kit (A) is fixed to the vehicle. In
Figure 6 , the state of the jack kit (A) fixed on the vehicle trunk cavity (3) on the vehicle is shown. - In a further configuration of the invention, there can be two fixing members (21) on the lug wrench (2) (
Figure 2 ). One of said fixing members (21), as it is also mentioned above, is in shape of a connecting tab (211) positioned on the fixing surface (131) on the jack base (13) of the jack (1). The other fixing member (21), as it is also mentioned before, is in form of a hook (212) positioned on the rivet (12) inside the jack base (13) of the jack (1). For jack (1) models different from each other, the mounting of lug wrench (2) to the jack (1) is realized by using the fixing member (21) which form of the fixing member (21) is compatible.
Claims (2)
- A jack kit (A) comprising- a jack (1) having rivets (12),- a lug wrench (2),- a mounting hole (22) which is used in fixing said lug wrench (2) to the vehicle and is formed on the lug wrench (2), wherein said jack kit (A) comprises- a fixing groove (111) which is formed on said jack (1), and in which the end part (23) of the lug wrench (2) is attached,- at least one fixing member (21) which is formed on the said lug wrench (2); wherein both said fixing groove (111) and said at least one fixing member (21) together fix the lug wrench (2) to the jack (1),
characterized in that
said fixing member (21) is in form of a hook (212) arranged to be positioned on one of the rivets (12) inside the jack base (13) of the jack (1). - A jack kit (A) according to claim 1, characterized in that- there are two of said fixing members (21),- the second of the fixing members (21) is in form of a connecting tab (211) arranged to be positioned on the fixing surface (131) on the jack base (13) of the jack (1).
