Definitions
- the present invention relates to a wedging device for a generally prismatic packaging.
- One envisaged field of application is in particular, but not exclusively, that of packaging relatively fragile bottles, for example perfume bottles.
- Known wedging devices based on cellulosic material for maintaining and preserving a bottle inside a rectangular parallelepiped packaging, comprise a substantially square bottom cushion and four triangular flaps integral with the cushioning base. Each of the flaps has a triangular recess defining a bearing edge substantially parallel to the side of the wedge bottom to which the flap is connected.
- the wedging device is inserted inside the parallelepiped packaging, so as to bring the cushioning bottom bearing on the bottom of packaging, while each of the triangular flaps is applied in an inclined manner relative to to the walls of the parallelepiped packaging and in the angles formed by these walls. Therefore, it is possible to engage a substantially rectangular parallelepiped bottle between the triangular flaps so that its four corners are respectively bear against the support edges defined by the triangular recesses. The parallelepiped packaging is then closed and the bottle can be transported without damage.
- the quality of the support of the triangular flaps in the corners of the parallelepiped packaging is fragile, because it requires a perfect adjustment of the cushioning background on the bottom of packaging, both in terms of centering and angular orientation. And therefore, the wedging device can in certain circumstances be driven in motion inside the package by the inertia of the bottle.
- the document FR2910881 discloses a wedging device installed inside a package. Also, a problem that arises and that aims to solve the present invention is to provide a wedging device that allows to ensure a better setting of the bottle inside the package.
- a wedging device intended to be installed inside a right prismatic packaging to be able to receive a bottle, said right prismatic packaging having a bottom of packaging and a plurality of walls raised with respect to said bottom of packaging, said wedging device having, firstly a wedging base, and secondly a plurality of flaps connected to said bottom cushion and each having two opposite side edges, said wedging device being intended to be installed inside said right prismatic packaging so that said cushioning base bears against said bottom of the package while said flaps are raised with respect to said cushioning bottom so as to bear in inclined support against said walls said plurality of walls of said prismatic package, said vial being adapted to engage said flaps.
- Said flaps are respectively connected two by two by their lateral edges to form a conical portion from said bottom cushioning.
- a feature of the invention lies in the implementation of a wedging device forming a conical surface inside which is inserted the bottle.
- conical part, or conical surface is understood to mean frustoconical parts.
- At least two flaps of said plurality of flaps have a wedge recess, and said flask extends through said wedging recesses.
- each of said flaps of said plurality of flaps has a trapezoidal portion integral with said cushioning bottom, and a rectangular portion extending said trapezoidal portion.
- the trapezoidal parts will allow to form the conical portion, which is then inclined relative to the walls of the package and departs gradually as we approach the bottoms of packaging, while the parts rectangular allow to form a cylindrical part that will come to fit perfectly inside the package, itself cylindrical symmetry. In other words, the cylindrical portion comes to line the inner surface of the package.
- said flaps may comprise only a trapezoidal part, without a rectangular part.
- the wide-width free edge of the trapezoidal parts can bear against the wall of the corresponding prismatic packaging.
- At least one of said flaps comprises a flap extending said rectangular portion opposite said trapezoidal portion.
- the flap can come to close the wedging device after the bottle has been inserted inside. This provides additional protection with a rigid assembly completely surrounding the bottle.
- said cushioning base has a rectangular parallelogram shape defining four sides.
- said plurality of flaps comprises four flaps respectively connected to said four sides of said cushioning bottom.
- wedging devices thus formed can advantageously be stored by nesting into each other and consequently be transported. Indeed, if this were not the case, the cost of transporting sets of rigging would be prohibitive. Thus, on the same production line, we just cut the blanks of the wedging device, form and paste them for fine, nest and transport them.
- said wedge recess is circular in shape.
- said walls of the bottle can bear entirely against the edge circular that it defines. It will be understood that parts of the walls of the flask extend protruding from the trapezoidal parts by partially passing through them. This ensures a perfect setting of the bottle.
- wedging recesses of triangular shape are provided to receive the corners of the prismatic bottles and in particular rectangular parallelepiped bottles, when the number of flaps is four as will be explained in more detail in the following description.
- a portion of said flaps of said plurality of flaps comprises tabs connected respectively to their lateral edges.
- the flaps are connected together by gluing by applying the tabs against the outer surface of the adjacent flap.
- a hot-melt adhesive, or hotmelt is advantageously deposited on the outer surface of the flap before pressing the tongue.
- said wedging device is made of a material based on cellulosic plant fibers.
- cellulosic materials of cardboard type, or for example corrugated cardboard make it possible to form relatively rigid and light rigging devices at a time. Thanks to the corrugated cardboard, the vials are even more protected because their shock absorbing properties are better.
- the invention relates to a straight prismatic packaging having a bottom of packaging and a plurality of walls erected relative to said bottom of packaging, said package comprising a wedging device as described above.
- said bottom of packaging is of rectangular parallelogram shape, whereas said plurality of walls comprises four walls.
- such a package is adapted to receive a wedging device having a pyramidal frustoconical portion surmounted by a tubular portion with a square base.
- the four rectangular portions extending the trapezoidal portions are respectively applied against the inner surface of the package, while the cushioning base abuts against the bottom of packaging.
- the long side of the trapezoidal parts bears against the internal surface on any the width corresponding to the width of the rectangular parts.
- the wedging device is perfectly centered inside the package and moreover it is perfectly maintained in a fixed position.
- the Figure 1 illustrates a blank 10 formed in a plate of a cellulosic material, and in this case in a material based on cellulosic plant fibers.
- a double-sided corrugated cardboard plate having a corrugated paper sheet sandwiched between two sheets of flat paper is used.
- the blank 10 has an inner face appearing on the drawing of the Figure 1 and opposite outer face, located behind the drawing. All the elements of the blank 10 described below will thus have an inner face and an outer face.
- the blank 10 has a first central square 12 having four opposite two-by-two edges 14, 16; 18, 20 on which are respectively articulated, four trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26 and 28 of the same dimensions. It will be observed that the trapezoidal parts 22, 24, 26 and 28 are isosceles.
- a first trapezoidal portion 22 and a second trapezoidal portion 26 are mounted opposite one another relative to the central square 12 in a main direction D. And each of them has two opposite free first lateral edges 30, 32 respectively, diverging at from the central square 12, and two opposite second free lateral edges 34, 36 also diverging from the central square 12.
- the first trapezoidal portion 22 has a first wide edge 38 opposite and parallel to a first narrow edge coincident with the first edge 14 of central square 12.
- first rectangular portion 40 extending the first trapezoidal portion 22 is articulated on the first wide edge 38.
- second trapezoidal portion 26 has a second wide edge 42 itself opposite and parallel at a second narrow edge coincident with the second edge 16 of the central square 22.
- a second recta portion ngulaire 44 extending the second trapezoidal portion 26 is articulated on the second wide edge 42.
- the dimensions of the first rectangular portion 40 and the second rectangular portion 44 are identical.
- the second rectangular portion 44 has, in its extension, opposite the second trapezoidal portion 26, a flap 46 free mounted articulated on said second rectangular portion 44.
- a third trapezoidal portion 24 and a fourth trapezoidal portion 28 are mounted opposite one another relative to the central square 12. And each of them respectively has two third lateral edges 48, 50 diverging and two opposite fourth lateral edges 52, 54 diverging.
- the third trapezoidal portion 24 has a third broad edge 56 opposite and parallel to a third narrow edge coincident with the third edge 20 of the central square 12.
- a third rectangular portion 58 extending the third trapezoidal portion 24 is hingedly mounted on the third edge 56.
- the fourth trapezoidal portion 28 has a fourth wide edge 60 itself opposite and parallel to a fourth narrow edge coincident with the fourth edge 18 of the central square 22.
- a fourth rectangular portion 62 extending the fourth portion trapezoidal 28 is mounted articulated on the fourth wide edge 60.
- the dimensions of the third 58 and fourth 62 rectangular portions are identical to those of the first 40 and second 44 rectangular portions.
- the third trapezoidal portion 24 comprises two opposite third tongues 64, 66 mounted respectively hinged to the two third lateral edges 48, 50, while the fourth trapezoidal portion 28 comprises two opposite fourth tabs 68, 70 respectively hinged to the two fourth, opposite lateral edges 52, 54.
- the pairs of tongues 64, 66, on the one hand, and 68, 70, on the other hand respectively have two symmetrical proximal cuts 71, 73, located near the third edge 20 and the fourth edge 18 of the central square 12. It will be explained in greater detail in the following description, the function of these proximal cuts 71, 73.
- the four trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26 and 28 respectively extended by their four rectangular portions, 40, 44, 58, 62 form four flaps, a first flap 72, a second flap 74, a third flap 76 and a fourth flap. part 78.
- each of the flaps 72, 74, 76 and 78 has in their respective trapezoidal portion 22, 24, 26 and 28, a circular wedge recess 80 located near the four edges two-by-two 14, 16; 18, 20 of the central square 12.
- This wedging recess here is circular because the wedging device described here is intended to receive a spheroidal shaped bottle surmounted by a neck. But it could be of a shape, for example triangular or trapezoidal to receive a bottle of parallelepiped shape, as will be explained below.
- the blank 10 is first brought over a cavity having a well, so as to carry the central square above the well.
- a hot-melt glue gun or hotmelt in English, just bring glue points on the two pairs of tabs 64, 66; 68, 70.
- Other types of quick setting glue can also be used.
- the four trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 will come to stand in relation to the central square 12, so that one 48 of the two third lateral edges 48, 50 and one 54 of the two fourth edges opposite lateral sides 52, 54, respectively fit against the two first free opposite lateral edges 32, 30, while the other 50 of the two third lateral edges 48, 50 and the other 52 of the two opposite fourth lateral edges 52, 54, respectively fit against the two opposite second free lateral edges 34, 36.
- one 64 of the two third, opposite tabs 64, 66 and one 68 of the two opposite fourth tabs 68, 70 then respectively apply to the opposite of each other, against the the outer face of the first trapezoidal portion 22, while the other 66 of the two opposite third tabs 64, 66 and the other 70 of the two opposite fourth tabs 68, 70, respectively, apply to the opposite one on the other, against the external face of the second trapezoidal part 26.
- the tongues 64, 66, 68, 70 are held in abutment against the outer surface of the trapezoidal portions 22, 26, for a predetermined period of time.
- the hot-melt glue solidifies and causes the respective tabs 64, 66, 68, 70 and the trapezoidal portions 22, 26 to be sealed.
- the wedging device 82 thus formed is represented on the Figure 2 . It will be observed that the circular wedge recess 80 of the first trapezoidal portion 22 is free thanks to the two proximal cuts 71 of the tongues 64, 68. It is the same for the circular wedging recess 80 of the second trapezoidal portion 26. , located behind the drawing of the Figure 2 .
- the four trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 form a rigid pyramidal conical portion 84 of axis A, while the four rectangular portions 40, 44, 58, 62 form a cylindrical portion 86.
- the central square 12 then form the cushioning background.
- the four rectangular portions, 40, 44, 58, 62 are joined edge to edge, without being sealed together, while the flap 46 extends in the plane of the second rectangular portion 44.
- the wedging device 82 is then engaged inside a parallelepipedic prismatic packaging 88, shown transparent on the Figure 3 for a better understanding of disappointment.
- the latter is for example made in a flat carton.
- the package 88 has a packing bottom 90, and first two opposing first walls 92, 94, shown in FIG. Figure 3 , one of which 94 is extended by a packing flap 95, and secondly, two second opposite walls 96, 98, perpendicular to the two opposite first walls 92, 94, and shown in FIG. Figure 4 .
- the package 88 is also shown transparent on the Figure 4 .
- the height of the first opposite walls 92, 94, and also the second opposite walls 96, 98 is substantially equal to the sum of the heights of the conical 84 and cylindrical portions 86.
- the cross section of the cylindrical portion 86 which is here square with a side length corresponding to the width of the rectangular portions, 40, 44, 58, 62, or the wide edges 38, 42, 56, 60 of the trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 is substantially equal to the functional clearance near the cross-section of the package 88. In this way, the four parts rectangular, 40, 44, 58, 62 are held edge to edge by the walls 92, 94, 96, 98 of the package 88 which surround them.
- the wedging device 82 engaged inside the package 88, is held there in a fixed position thanks to the cylindrical portion 86 paved inside the package 88, and the central square 12 forming the wedge bottom, which bears against the bottom 90.
- the trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 are respectively in inclined support against the walls 92, 94, 96, 98 of the package 88.
- the cushioning base here is flat against the bottom of the package.
- struts forming feet are interposed between the cushioning fund and the bottoms of packaging.
- the four flaps are devoid of rectangular parts and they are provided with only four trapezoidal parts. Also, the wide edges of the trapezoidal portions come directly against the walls of the package, while the cushioning bottom abuts against the bottom of packaging.
- the wedging device 82 engaged inside the package 88 and as shown in FIG. figure 3 it is possible to engage a bottle, in this case of spheroidal shape surmounted by a neck, inside the open package 88, and inside the wedging device 82.
- the dimensions of the wedging device 82 and packaging 88, are defined by the dimensions of the bottle.
- the trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 tend to deform elastically and to deviate substantially from each other in radial directions, until the bottle comes to engage in the four circular wedge recesses 80, respectively four trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28.
- the trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 then find their position d original balance, and the bottle is maintained engaged between the trapezoidal portions 22, 24, 26, and 28 of the wedging device 82.
- FIG. 5 showing through the package 88 and the wedging device 82, a bottle 100 having, on the one hand, a substantially spheroidal portion 102 bearing on the wedging base 12 and engaged in the circular wedging recesses 80, and on the other hand a neck 104 surmounting the spheroidal portion 102.
- the neck 104 being closed by a plug 106.
- the bottle In this position, the bottle is held in a fixed position in the directions perpendicular to the insertion direction, which is performed along the axis A of the conical portion 84 and the cylindrical portion 86. In addition, the bottle is maintained in a fixed position along the axis A, toward the bottom 90 packing, because the bottle is wedged inside the conical portion 84. It is also locked in translation in a direction opposite to its direction of introduction through flap 46, after it has been folded down to close the cylindrical portion 86.
- the dimensions of the wedging device 82 are advantageously provided, so that the flap 46, comes to apply to the closure member of the bottle, in order to be able to block it in translation.
- the bottles are perfectly maintained in a fixed position inside the package 88.
- the shape of the wedging device is adaptable to other types of bottle.

Description
The present invention relates to a wedging device for a generally prismatic packaging.
One envisaged field of application is in particular, but not exclusively, that of packaging relatively fragile bottles, for example perfume bottles.
Known wedging devices based on cellulosic material, for maintaining and preserving a bottle inside a rectangular parallelepiped packaging, comprise a substantially square bottom cushion and four triangular flaps integral with the cushioning base. Each of the flaps has a triangular recess defining a bearing edge substantially parallel to the side of the wedge bottom to which the flap is connected.
Thus, the wedging device is inserted inside the parallelepiped packaging, so as to bring the cushioning bottom bearing on the bottom of packaging, while each of the triangular flaps is applied in an inclined manner relative to to the walls of the parallelepiped packaging and in the angles formed by these walls. Therefore, it is possible to engage a substantially rectangular parallelepiped bottle between the triangular flaps so that its four corners are respectively bear against the support edges defined by the triangular recesses. The parallelepiped packaging is then closed and the bottle can be transported without damage.
However, the quality of the support of the triangular flaps in the corners of the parallelepiped packaging is fragile, because it requires a perfect adjustment of the cushioning background on the bottom of packaging, both in terms of centering and angular orientation. And therefore, the wedging device can in certain circumstances be driven in motion inside the package by the inertia of the bottle.

In order to solve this problem, it is proposed a wedging device intended to be installed inside a right prismatic packaging to be able to receive a bottle, said right prismatic packaging having a bottom of packaging and a plurality of walls raised with respect to said bottom of packaging, said wedging device having, firstly a wedging base, and secondly a plurality of flaps connected to said bottom cushion and each having two opposite side edges, said wedging device being intended to be installed inside said right prismatic packaging so that said cushioning base bears against said bottom of the package while said flaps are raised with respect to said cushioning bottom so as to bear in inclined support against said walls said plurality of walls of said prismatic package, said vial being adapted to engage said flaps. Said flaps are respectively connected two by two by their lateral edges to form a conical portion from said bottom cushioning.
Thus, a feature of the invention lies in the implementation of a wedging device forming a conical surface inside which is inserted the bottle. Here, conical part, or conical surface, is understood to mean frustoconical parts. Thus, the flaps being connected together forming a rigid conical portion, the bottle is held by wedging under the effect of its own weight inside the wedging device. The bottle is then better maintained inside the package, compared to packaging including a wedging device that bears on the corners.
According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, at least two flaps of said plurality of flaps have a wedge recess, and said flask extends through said wedging recesses. Thus, the bottle is more still maintained in engagement between the shutters.
Preferably, each of said flaps of said plurality of flaps has a trapezoidal portion integral with said cushioning bottom, and a rectangular portion extending said trapezoidal portion. In this way, the trapezoidal parts will allow to form the conical portion, which is then inclined relative to the walls of the package and departs gradually as we approach the bottoms of packaging, while the parts rectangular allow to form a cylindrical part that will come to fit perfectly inside the package, itself cylindrical symmetry. In other words, the cylindrical portion comes to line the inner surface of the package.
It will be observed that, according to another variant embodiment, said flaps may comprise only a trapezoidal part, without a rectangular part. In this case, the wide-width free edge of the trapezoidal parts can bear against the wall of the corresponding prismatic packaging.
According to one embodiment of the particular invention, at least one of said flaps comprises a flap extending said rectangular portion opposite said trapezoidal portion. In this way, thanks to the flap can come to close the wedging device after the bottle has been inserted inside. This provides additional protection with a rigid assembly completely surrounding the bottle.
According to a particularly advantageous feature of the invention, said cushioning base has a rectangular parallelogram shape defining four sides. Also, and preferably, said plurality of flaps comprises four flaps respectively connected to said four sides of said cushioning bottom.
In this way, the four flaps connected together in pairs by their lateral edges around the rectangular parallelogram-shaped wedge bottom, then form a pyramidal truncated cone with a square base. The wedging device, in the form of an inverted pyramid, thus bears on the bottom of the package.
It will be observed that the wedging devices thus formed can advantageously be stored by nesting into each other and consequently be transported. Indeed, if this were not the case, the cost of transporting sets of rigging would be prohibitive. Thus, on the same production line, we just cut the blanks of the wedging device, form and paste them for fine, nest and transport them.
According to a particular embodiment, said wedge recess is circular in shape. Thus, for bottles of substantially spheroidal shape surmounted by a neck, such circular forms of wedging are advantageous since the walls of the bottle can bear entirely against the edge circular that it defines. It will be understood that parts of the walls of the flask extend protruding from the trapezoidal parts by partially passing through them. This ensures a perfect setting of the bottle.
Of course, wedging recesses of triangular shape are provided to receive the corners of the prismatic bottles and in particular rectangular parallelepiped bottles, when the number of flaps is four as will be explained in more detail in the following description.
Advantageously, a portion of said flaps of said plurality of flaps comprises tabs connected respectively to their lateral edges. In this way, thanks to these tabs, the flaps are connected together by gluing by applying the tabs against the outer surface of the adjacent flap. A hot-melt adhesive, or hotmelt, is advantageously deposited on the outer surface of the flap before pressing the tongue.
Preferably, said wedging device is made of a material based on cellulosic plant fibers. Thus, cellulosic materials of cardboard type, or for example corrugated cardboard, make it possible to form relatively rigid and light rigging devices at a time. Thanks to the corrugated cardboard, the vials are even more protected because their shock absorbing properties are better.
According to a second object, aimed at solving the problem posed, the invention relates to a straight prismatic packaging having a bottom of packaging and a plurality of walls erected relative to said bottom of packaging, said package comprising a wedging device as described above. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, said bottom of packaging is of rectangular parallelogram shape, whereas said plurality of walls comprises four walls. Thus, such a package is adapted to receive a wedging device having a pyramidal frustoconical portion surmounted by a tubular portion with a square base. Thus, the four rectangular portions extending the trapezoidal portions are respectively applied against the inner surface of the package, while the cushioning base abuts against the bottom of packaging. As a result, the long side of the trapezoidal parts bears against the internal surface on any the width corresponding to the width of the rectangular parts. In this way, the wedging device is perfectly centered inside the package and moreover it is perfectly maintained in a fixed position.

Also, the blank 10 has a first
In a direction perpendicular to the main direction D, a third
All the described parts obviously form the single blank 10, and their articulation relative to each other is made easier, for example by a grooving, during the cutting step of the blank 10.
In addition, each of the
Thus, according to an automated method, the blank 10 is first brought over a cavity having a well, so as to carry the central square above the well. Also, a hot-melt glue gun, or hotmelt in English, just bring glue points on the two pairs of
Then a punch then comes to bear on the
In addition, one 64 of the two third,
Thus, the wedging
According to another embodiment of the invention, not shown, the four flaps are devoid of rectangular parts and they are provided with only four trapezoidal parts. Also, the wide edges of the trapezoidal portions come directly against the walls of the package, while the cushioning bottom abuts against the bottom of packaging.
In this position, the bottle is held in a fixed position in the directions perpendicular to the insertion direction, which is performed along the axis A of the
Thus, thanks to the relative rigidity of the wedging
Of course, the shape of the wedging device is adaptable to other types of bottle. For example, prismatic flasks, and in particular straight parallelepiped flasks. The wedge recesses are then advantageously trapezoidal or triangular to provide straight support edges.
In addition, and according to yet another object, the invention relates to a method of implementing stalling devices 82 comprising the following steps: blanks 10 are cut out each comprising, on the one hand, a wedging base 12, and on the other hand a plurality of flaps 72, 74, 76, 78 connected to said clamping bottom 12 and each having two opposite side edges 30, 32; 34, 36; 48, 50; 52, 54, at least two flaps of said plurality of flaps having a wedge recess 80; said flaps 72, 74, 76, 78 are raised with respect to said wedging base 12, for each of said blanks; for each of said blanks, said flaps 72, 74, 76, 78 are respectively connected in pairs by their lateral edges 30, 32; 34, 36; 48, 50; 52, 54 to form a tapered portion 84 from said wedging base 12 so as to provide the wedging devices 82, said fitters are interlocked with each other to be able to store said wedging devices 82; right prismatic packages 88 are formed having a packing bottom 90 and a plurality of walls 92, 94, 96, 98 erected relative to said packing bottom 90; these staggers 82 are disjoined in order to be able to install each stalling device 82 inside each right prismatic package 88 so that said stowing base 12 bears against said bottom 90 while said flaps 72, 74 , 76, 78 bear in inclined support against said walls 92, 94, 96, 98 of said plurality of walls of said prismatic packaging 88; and, vials 100 are provided and said bottles are respectively carried in engagement with said wedging recesses 80 of said flaps 72, 74, 76, 78 of each of said wedging devices 82.
Thus, according to the aforementioned automated method, in the same production unit, the blanks are cut at the same time and the
In this other production unit, the right
