Aufgrund der bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Bandteil ohne weitere Maßnahmen erzielten kraftschlüssigen Wechselwirkung zwischen Montagefortsatz und Montageaufnahme verbleibt das zu montierende Bauteil regelmäßig bereits in seiner Montagelage, ohne dass es hierzu gesondert gehalten werden müsste, bevor es mit Hilfe weiterer Fixiermittel gegen eine Demontage fixiert wird. Die Montierbarkeit des Bauteils an dem Bandkörper ist somit wesentlich erleichtert, da nicht zeitgleich das Bauteil in seiner Montageposition manuell gehalten werden muss während beispielsweise das Schraubelement eingedreht wird, wie dies beim gattungsgemäßen Bandteil der Fall ist. Um bei diesem das Bauteil zu montieren, sind regelmäßig zwei Personen erforderlich; eine hält das Bauteil bei in die Montageaufnahme eingeführtem Montagefortsatz in Position, die andere dreht das Schraubelement bis in dessen das Befestigungselement fixierende Endstellung. Der Montagefortsatz umfasst ein beim Einführen in die Montageaufnahme voreilendes Einführende und einen sich von diesem in den Montagefortsatz erstreckenden Schlitz, derart, dass der Montagefortsatz zwei durch den Schlitz voneinander beabstandete Teilfortsätze aufweist. Durch das Vorhandensein des Schlitzes weisen die Teilfortsätze eine elastische Nachgiebigkeit zueinander auf, die ausreicht, um die kraftschlüssige Anlage des Montagefortsatzes an einer Fläche der Montageaufnahme zu bewirken.
