The document DE20217618U describes a device for tensioning a frame supporting a flexible or textile membrane. The device comprises a rectangular frame provided with four profiles to hold and tension the four sides of the membrane. Angular connection elements allow the profiles to be moved relative to one another in order to adjust the tension of the membrane.

The document US2003 / 0150147 describes a device for tensioning a frame supporting a plurality of laminated membranes. The device comprises a parallelepipedic frame, the edges of which are formed by movable fastening elements. The displacement of each of these fastening elements is carried out by a screw-nut device.

The document WO2006 / 063991 describes a frame supporting a textile membrane and comprising a device for the elastic tensioning of the membrane. The rectangular frame has four profiles to tension the four edges of the membrane. Each profile is movable relative to the others by means of a plurality of angular connection elements. Each end of the membrane is equipped with an elastic end part, while the frame comprises a device applying a joint displacement to the four angular connection elements.

JPS61233180A also discloses a portion of a building envelope, comprising: a roofing membrane; a membrane support frame comprising at least a first profile for holding at least one first end of said membrane a second profile for holding at least a second end of said membrane; a single said fastening element being linked to two elastic tensioning mechanisms, so as to exert a displacement force of the first profile in a first direction, and a displacement force of the second profile in a second direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction; a fixing element intended to fix the support frame to said permanent structure; a plurality of elastic tensioning mechanisms, each arranged to exert a force between a said profile and said fastening element to which it is linked so as to tension said membrane, and each comprising a spring configured to adjust the tension of the membrane between a minimum value guaranteeing the functionality and / or tightness of the membrane and a maximum value in response to aging of the membrane or to climatic or thermal change; wherein the same profile of said at least one first profile is tensioned by several of said plurality of elastic tensioning mechanisms.

These devices require the membrane to be tensioned in the workshop or at the foot of the building at the latest. Transporting trucks and lifting them with a crane of these mounted casing portions is however complicated and costly. It also happens that the frame deforms slightly when it is assembled and fixed to the building; these deformations cause an adjustment in the tension of the membrane which is very difficult to adjust after mounting. On the other hand, these devices do not allow a simple adjustment of the tension of the fabric after assembly, for example if the membrane relaxes due to aging or weather conditions.

The document DE102012200960 describes a device for tensioning and maintaining the tension of a membrane comprising an elastic element. This device retains one end of the membrane while operating as a lever on one side of a profile of the membrane frame.

The document DE202009012638 reveals a membrane support frame containing a device for tensioning and maintaining the tension of the membrane. This device operates in support under the membrane by applying a force between the membrane and the frame.

These devices for tensioning and maintaining the tension of a membrane require the entire frame to be fixed to a building in a single operation. If this operation is easy for frames of reduced weight and size, the installation of a frame larger dimension and weight, as is normally the case when it is a part of a building envelope portion, requires the deployment of several specialized workers, often several meters high.

These devices for tensioning and maintaining the tension of a membrane also require the device to be preset before the membrane is fixed to the frame. An adjustment of the device which does not meet the requirements for tensioning or maintaining tension implies disassembly of the membrane to allow access to the device for the purpose of a new adjustment.

The installation time as well as the costs of such a roof strongly depend on the time necessary for the execution of these operations of assembly of the frame and tensioning of the membrane as well as on the safety measures necessary for the implementation safety of all the specialized workers carrying out these operations.

Bref résumé de l'inventionBrief summary of the invention

An object of the invention is therefore to have a portion of a building envelope comprising a mechanism for making the membrane easier to tension.

Another object is to provide a portion of a building envelope with a surface area of between 1 square meter and a few tens of square meters, or even a few hundred square meters, and which is easier to assemble and to adjust in tension.

Another object of the invention is to have a portion of a building envelope comprising a mechanism for tensioning the textile covering membrane suitable for on-site assembly with reduced costs and installation time.

The mounting and tensioning operations must minimize the stretching and / or deformation of a part and / or of one end of the membrane in order to respect the integrity, tightness and aesthetics of the membrane. and the envelope portion. These operations must also be adapted to portions of the building envelope having rigid support frames meeting the requirements and standards for permanent structures.

Another object of the invention is to have a portion of a building envelope comprising a mechanism for adjusting the tension of the textile cover membrane capable of reducing intervention and maintenance costs.

Another object of the invention is to have a portion of a building envelope comprising a mechanism for adjusting the tension of the textile cover membrane allowing adjustment of the tension when all of the ends of the membrane are retained by the framework.

According to the invention, these objects are achieved in particular by means of a portion of the building envelope according to claim 1.

The portion of the building envelope has the particular advantage of allowing the frame to be fixed to a structure by separate pieces. The smaller size and weight of these parts as well as a fixing operation carried out in several successive operations allows a reduction in the installation complexity as well as the number of specialized workers involved in the installation. The advantages in terms of time and costs are particularly remarkable when the installation is carried out at several meters in height.

According to the invention, the same section is tensioned by several so-called setting mechanisms. elastic tension, each of these tensioning mechanisms being linked to a separate fixing element.

This embodiment allows a distribution of all the forces applied to the same profile, which makes it possible to reduce the deformation and elasticity stresses under load of the profile, in particular in the case of a profile of large dimensions.

Selon l'invention, le cadre de support comprend un deuxième profilé pour maintenir au moins une deuxième extrémité de ladite membrane de couverture textile ;
According to the invention, the support frame comprises a second profile for holding at least one second end of said textile cover membrane;
a single said fastening element being linked to two elastic tensioning mechanisms, so as to exert a displacement force of the first profile in a first direction, and a displacement force of the second profile in a second direction substantially orthogonal to the first direction.

According to the invention, the displacement force of the second profile is in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction.

These embodiments have the particular advantage of limiting the number of fasteners necessary for fixing the entire frame, by reducing the number of fasteners required in the corners of the envelope portion.

According to the invention, the frame supports and surrounds substantially the entire perimeter of the membrane.

Advantageously, the frame has a substantially polygonal shape, in particular rectangular or square.

The elastic tensioning mechanism has the particular advantage of maintaining a minimum tension on the membrane, which guarantees the sealing and the lifetime of the membrane.

According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the tensioning mechanism comprises a stop to limit the amplitude of the displacement of the profile relative to the fastening element. The value of the force applied to the membrane can thus be limited between a minimum value and a maximum value.

This solution has in particular the advantage compared to the prior art of limiting the tension applied to the membrane between a minimum value guaranteeing the functionality and / or the tightness of the membrane and a maximum value making it possible to cope with variations in the tension due to climatic and thermal changes while avoiding a tear and / or damage to the membrane of the textile cover.

According to one embodiment, the elastic tensioning mechanism comprises a spring. In another embodiment, the device can comprise one (or more) elastic element of another type, such as a stack of Belleville washers or an elastomer.

According to one embodiment, the tensioning mechanism can be disarmed so as to release the application of force on the profile. The tensioning mechanism can thus pass in a single operation between a primed position, in which the membrane is stretched, and a defused position in which the membrane is relaxed. According to a particularly advantageous embodiment, the spring is defusable so as to release the application of force on the profile.

This solution has in particular the advantage compared to the prior art of making it possible to defuse the tensioning mechanism so as to relax the application of force on the profile, in particular during the fixing of the frame to the building. This solution thus allows the fixing and the tensioning of one end of the membrane to the frame in an easy manner and even after the frame, or a substantial part of the latter, has been fixed to the building.

  • une base liée à l'élément de fixation;
  • un élément de support du profilé ;
In one embodiment, the tensioning mechanism comprises:
  • a base linked to the fixing element;
  • a support element for the profile;
  • a device for guiding the profile support relative to the base; and
  • a screw-nut mechanism for moving the guide device relative to the base.

In one embodiment, the screw-nut mechanism is positioned between the support element of the profile and the base so as to allow its access at all times, in particular during operations for handling the envelope portion, to a user.

This solution has the particular advantage over the prior art of allowing adjustment of the device at any time, without requiring disassembly, partial or complete, of the membrane.

In a particularly advantageous embodiment, several elastic tensioning mechanisms share the same base.

In one embodiment, the support element of the profile comprises a first end comprising a rod and a second end comprising a base for holding the profile, for example by screwing.

In one embodiment, the guide device comprises a cylinder integral with the base.

In one embodiment, the spring around the rod exerts a force between one end of the cylinder and the base.

In one embodiment, the building envelope portion comprises at least one corner piece intended to operate between two sections of the frame oriented substantially perpendicular or oblique to one another.

The invention also relates to a method for tensioning a membrane for covering a portion of a building envelope according to claim 10.

This solution allows the membrane to be fixed and tensioned after fixing its support frame, or a substantial part of the latter, to the permanent structure, which subsequently facilitates transport, assembly and fixing the envelope portion to the building.

The tensioning can be done in a single priming operation, without adjustment; the tensile force is determined by the elastic tensioning mechanism.

This solution makes it possible in particular to transport and dispatch the portion of the envelope in spare parts to the building, and to assemble it only on site, or even on the facade.

This solution allows in particular the advantage compared to the prior art to facilitate the operations of fixing the envelope portion to the building, since the support frame, or at least a substantial part of the latter, can be fixed in building spare parts before being fitted with the membrane. The fixing operations thus overcome the difficulties linked to the weight, the size, the shape and / or the type of membrane equipping the envelope portion. This advantage is especially appreciable when fixing a portion of a large envelope several meters high or at places in the building that are difficult to reach at the same time by a group of workers. The risks of damaging the membrane during the fixing of the envelope portion are thus greatly reduced.

This solution notably offers the advantage of allowing the frame to be tensioned by means of one or more elastic tensioning elements without requiring additional operations to adjust the tensioning and / or the adjustment of the membrane tension. In particular, tensioning and / or adjusting the tension of the membrane does not require the use of a torque wrench.

In one embodiment, step b) comprising the steps of:
  • fixing the profile to said first fixing element by means of said elastic tensioning element; and
  • fixing said end of the membrane to said profile.

Exemple(s) de mode de réalisation de l'inventionExample (s) of embodiment of the invention

The present invention relates to a portion of a building envelope, such as a facade or roof portion, for a permanent structure comprising a mechanism for tensioning and adjusting the tension of the textile covering membrane.

The invention provides a portion of a building envelope that meets the requirements and standards for permanent structures.

The invention allows a tensioning of a textile covering membrane having a surface which varies between a square meter up to several tens of square meters, or even a few hundred square meters, while guaranteeing the integrity and sealing of the membrane.

The figure 1 illustrates a portion of building envelope 1, more precisely a portion of the facade of a permanent structure, according to the invention. The envelope portion comprises a textile covering membrane 2, the ends of which are retained by a support frame 3 which is fixed to a building by a plurality of fixing elements 4. The fixing elements can for example be screwed onto the vertical facade or the frame of a building.

The support frame 3 comprises, as illustrated by the figures 2 and 3 , a plurality of profiles, or bars, 5 provided with anchors 8 for retaining the ends 7 of the membrane 2. The anchors can for example consist of annular grooves in which rods connected to the edges of the membrane can be slid.

Each fixing element 4 is linked to one or more elastic tensioning mechanisms 9 arranged to exert a force on the profiles 5, so as to tension the membrane. The elastic tensioning mechanisms 9 comprise for example a spring 10 which pushes the profile relative to the fixing element.

Each elastic tensioning mechanism is arranged to exert a force between the profile and the element for fixing to the building to which it is linked.

Each anchoring 8 of the profile 5 makes it possible to retain one end of the membrane 2 while allowing a lateral displacement of the latter in order to allow an effective application of a plurality of tensions to the membrane, this in various directions oblique or perpendicular to each other other.

A plurality of tensioning mechanisms 9 can be integral with the same fixing element 4 so as to guide the movements of a plurality of profiles 5. As illustrated in the figures 1 , 11, 12 and 13 , the fastening elements 4 equipping the four corners of the rectangular envelope portion may be provided with two tensioning mechanisms 9 arranged to direct and to apply a force to the profiles 5 positioned in a manner substantially orthogonal to one another .

The figure 4 illustrates an elastic tensioning mechanism 9 arranged to exert a force on a profile 5 of the frame so as to tension the membrane. The element 17 is a base for fixing to the fixing element 4. The element 14 is a support for fixing to the profile 5 of the frame. The spring (not visible in this figure) exerts a force to push back the support 14 relative to the base 17.

The figure 5 illustrates an arrangement of two mechanisms 9 for elastic tensioning, which can be fitted to the fastening elements at the corners of rectangular envelope portions. This arrangement is arranged to exert a first force on a first profile of the frame and a second force on a second profile positioned orthogonally to the first profile. Advantageously, the two elastic tensioning mechanisms 9 can share, entirely or partially, the same base 17 and can therefore be fixed in a single operation to a common fixing element 4.

The figures 6-8 illustrate details of an embodiment of the mechanism 9 for elastic tensioning. As indicated, the base 17 allows the mechanism 9 to be fixed to a fixing element 4 of the frame 3. The base can thus be provided with a plurality of oblong openings suitable for fixing and fine adjustment of the positioning by screwing.

The mechanism 9 then comprises a platform 16 integral with the base 17 and a support element 14 arranged for the maintenance of a profile 5. At one end, the support element 14 comprises a base with walls facilitating the maintenance and fixing by screwing the profile 5, while the other end is formed by a rod. This rod is retained by a cylinder 13 integral with the platform 16 whose function is to guide the movements of this support element 14 relative to the platform 16. This annular linear type connection also allows rotation of the element 14 relative to the platform 16 which facilitates the operation of fixing the profile 5 to the base. In a variant, it is possible to reverse the position of the rod and of the cylinder.

Advantageously, a spring is mounted around the rod of this support element 14 and exerts a force between the cylinder 13 and the base of the support element 14 in order to push the profile relative to the base.

Un disque 11 équipant l'élément 14 permet de limiter le déplacement minimal en empêchant un glissement ultérieur de la tige à l'intérieur du cylindre 13.The mechanism 9 includes two stops 11, 12, in order to limit the minimum and / or maximum displacement of the support element 14 relative to the platform 16. In the example of figures 6-8 , a pin 12 limits the maximum displacement by limiting the displacement of the rod towards the outside of the cylinder 13. A disc 11 equipping the element 14 makes it possible to limit the minimum displacement by preventing subsequent sliding of the rod inside the cylinder 13.

The mechanism 9 further comprises a screw-nut mechanism 15 capable of linearly displacing the platform 16 relative to the base 17. One end of the screw is retained by a plate 18 secured to the base 17 while the other threaded end acts on a nut integrated into an axis integral with the platform 16. A rectilinear translation 21 of the platform 16 is ensured by an extension 19 of the base 17 enveloping the lateral ends of the platform 16 so as to produce a slide connection. The displacements 21 of the platform 16 are directed in a manner substantially coaxial with the displacements 20 of the element 14.

Une translation de la plateforme 16 sensiblement coaxial aux déplacements 20 de l'élément 14 permet de régler finement le déplacement minimal et maximal du profilé 5 par rapport à l'élément de fixation 4.A translation of the platform 16 substantially coaxial with the displacements 20 of the element 14 makes it possible to finely adjust the minimum and maximum displacement of the profile 5 relative to the fastening element 4.

When attaching the membrane to the frame, the platforms can thus be moved so as to defuse the tensioning and limit the maximum displacement of the bars 5 below a threshold allowing easy attachment of the ends of the membrane .

Une fois terminée cette opération, les plateformes peuvent être déplacées de manière à amorcer la mise en tension et à exercer une ou plusieurs forces de mise en tension sur la membrane au travers des profilés 5.Once this operation has been completed, the platforms can be moved so as to initiate the tensioning and to exert one or more tensioning forces on the membrane through the profiles 5.

In this way, the tensioning operation guarantees the application of one or more forces having a preset value of maximum tension, without the use of a torque wrench.

Advantageously, the screw-nut mechanism is positioned between the support element 14 of the profile and the base 17 of the device. This positioning allows access, at any time, to the screw-nut mechanism in order to adjust the movement of the platform 16 relative to the base 17. When the envelope portion is equipped with the membrane, this access allows tensioning as well as adjustment of the membrane tension without requesting the complete or partial disassembly of the membrane or parts of the frame.

The stops thus make it possible to frame the tension applied to the membrane between a maximum value ( Figure 9a ) and a minimum value ( Figure 9b ). The minimum value guarantees the functionality and / or waterproofness of the roof. The maximum value makes it possible to cope with significant variations in tension, due for example to the climatic and thermal changes that the membrane undergoes, while guaranteeing the integrity of the membrane of the textile cover. The maximum value must in fact avoid the application of too high a voltage which could cause damage and / or damage to the membrane.

According to the invention, the membrane 2 of the envelope portion 1 of a building 6 can be tensioned, advantageously, by the following steps. The Figures 10a and b illustrate a mode of application of the method applied to a rectangular frame.

The first step includes fixing a plurality of elements for fixing the frame to the building. The fastening elements are fixed, one after the other or in parallel, to the building.

La deuxième étape concerne la fixation d'une extrémité (7) de la membrane à un profilé (5) du cadre et la fixation du cadre (3) à la pluralité d'éléments de fixation (4).The second step concerns the fixing of one end (7) of the membrane to a profile (5) of the frame and the fixing of the frame (3) to the plurality of fixing elements (4).

A first tensioning mechanism 9 is mounted on a first fixing element and a second tensioning mechanism 9 is mounted on a second fixing element.

This step may include defusing each or part of the tensioning mechanisms.

The profiles 5 are thus positioned at a close distance from each other, as illustrated in the figure 10a .

This step includes fixing one or more ends of the membrane to the profiles 5 thus fixed.

The frame 3 is then tensioned by applying a force to each of the profiles 5 of the frame 3 by means of elements 9 for elastic tensioning. The sections 5 will thus move away from each other until the desired tensioning of the membrane is obtained. For the sake of clarity, the figure 10b shows the effects of applying a plurality of forces on the frame profiles in the absence of the membrane.

This solution has the particular advantage of allowing the membrane to be fixed and tensioned after fixing its support frame, or a substantial part of the latter, to the permanent structure, which subsequently facilitates operations. transport, assembly and fixing of the envelope portion to the building. This solution allows in particular the advantage of being able to transport and / or send the portion of the envelope in loose parts to the front of the building concerned.

This solution allows in particular the advantage of facilitating the operations of fixing the envelope portion to the building, since the support frame, or at least a substantial part of the latter, can be fixed to the building devoid of the membrane. The membrane frame can thus be fixed without being hindered by the weight, size, shape and / or type of membrane. This advantage is especially appreciable when fixing a portion of a large envelope several meters high or at places in the building that are difficult to reach at the same time by a group of workers.

This solution notably offers the advantage of tensioning and / or adjusting the tension guaranteeing the integrity and / or tightness of the membrane without the use of a torque wrench.

This solution offers in particular the advantage compared to the prior art of tensioning and / or adjusting the tension at all times, without requiring the complete or partial disassembly of the membrane or parts of the frame.

This method reduces installation and handling time and costs. The installation time as well as the costs of such a roof strongly depend on the time necessary for the execution of this manual manipulation of tensioning as well as on the number of workers necessary for the operation, while the maintenance operations Regular and extraordinary also involve the deployment of several specialized workers as well as securing the site during maintenance operations.

The membrane thus installed and tensioned remains taut thanks to the tensioning elements 9 which apply a constant force to the membrane when they are primed after their installation.

This method makes it possible to avoid the difficulties associated with manual regulation of the membrane tension by specialized workers acting separately on the positioning of each profile.

The method is suitable for tensioning portions of building envelopes with rigid support frames meeting the requirements and standards for permanent structures.

The figures 11-13 illustrate variants of envelope portions 1 of this type having various surfaces as well as curved profiles ( Figures 13A and 13B ).

The rectangular support frame 3 of the Figures 11A and 11B comprises four fixing elements 4 each supporting two mechanisms 9 for elastic tensioning, acting in a manner substantially orthogonal to one another. Each profile 5 of the frame is thus actuated by two mechanisms 9, each being linked to a fixing element 4 different from the other. This configuration is particularly suitable for reduced-size frames as well as for frames of substantially square shape.

Frame 3 of Figures 12A and 12B further comprises two intermediate fastening elements 4, each comprising a mechanism 9 for elastic tensioning. Each horizontal profile is thus tensioned by three mechanisms 9, while each vertical profile is tensioned by two mechanisms 9. Each tensioning mechanism 9 acting on the same profile is linked to a fixing element different from the others. This configuration is particularly suitable for large and rectangular frames.

Frames having other polygonal shapes, such as triangular, pentagonal or hexagonal, may include
a plurality of fastening elements 4 each comprising a mechanism 9 for elastic tensioning; and or
a plurality of fastening elements 4 each comprising two mechanisms 9 for elastic tensioning acting in oblique or perpendicular directions relative to one another.

Frames having other more complex polygonal shapes may include a plurality of fasteners 4 each comprising three or more elastic tensioning mechanisms 9 acting in one or more directions.

Des cadres comprenant des formes arrondies peuvent comprendre des profilés courbés, concaves, convexes, semi-circulaires, etc.Frames with rounded shapes can include curved, concave, convex, semi-circular profiles, etc.

The third variant of the envelope portion 1, illustrated by the Figures 13A and 13B includes fastening elements 4 having variable lengths, see adjustable. This envelope portion 1 has two distinct surfaces, the planes of which are not coplanar with one another, by means of vertical curved or foldable sections 5.

Frames having a plurality of distinct surfaces may include a plurality of fasteners 4 each comprising a plurality of elastic tensioning mechanisms 9 each acting coplanar to one of these surfaces.

Building envelope portions must meet specific aesthetic requirements for the duration of their presence on a facade of a structure.

The tensioning as well as the maintenance of the tension of a membrane causes relative displacements between pairs of sections oriented obliquely or substantially perpendicular to each other. These movements can cause cosmetic imperfections in corner areas of the membrane.

The building envelope portion can thus include corner pieces 50 intended to operate between sections 5 of the frame, in particular between pairs of sections oriented in a manner substantially perpendicular or oblique to one another.

The corner piece 50 can be arranged to retain or support or guide one end or part of the membrane. The corner piece can thus be provided with means for retaining or supporting or guiding a part of the membrane.

The figure 14 illustrates a first embodiment of a corner piece making it possible to face possible aesthetic imperfections of a corner area of the membrane. For the sake of clarity, the figure 14 shows the corner piece 50 acting between a pair of profiles 5 in the absence of the membrane.

This part is connected at each end of the two profiles 5 in a movable manner so as to maintain substantially unaltered the external shape of the envelope portion, this independently of the relative displacement between the profiles due to the action of the tensioning mechanisms 9 elastic.

La glissière peut être positionnée sur le profil externe du profilé 5.In another variant, part of the corner piece can be arranged to be slidably retained by a slide equipping one or both ends of the profiles 5. The slide can be positioned on a wall or in a cavity d one or both ends. The slide can be arranged, once the frame fixed to the structure, to be turned towards the surface of the structure or to be invisible, for example by being covered by a part of the membrane. The slide can be positioned on the external profile of profile 5.

The figure 15 illustrates a second embodiment of a corner piece making it possible to face possible aesthetic imperfections of a corner area of the membrane. The corner piece of this variant is, partially or entirely deformable, elastically. The coefficient of elasticity of this part must be chosen so as not to significantly influence the action of the mechanisms 9 for elastic tensioning. This corner piece is arranged to be fixed to the ends of the two profiles 5. For reasons of clarity, the figure 15 shows this corner piece 50 acting between a pair of profiles 5 in the absence of the membrane.
