Description
The invention relates to contact sockets for sockets or couplings with two resilient, an insertion opening forming female legs, between which a pin of a plug is clamped by the fact that the two socket legs are resiliently diverted when the pin is inserted perpendicular to the deflection plane in the insertion.
Such contact sockets are commonly used in sockets or couplings, in particular in Schuko sockets, and are used to make the electrical contact between the contact socket and the contact pin. In these sockets or couplings usually plugs can be inserted, which have contact pins with different diameters. Contact pin diameters e.g. between about 4 and 5 millimeters. As a result, these sockets or couplings must ensure a universality in terms of various connector systems having contact pins of different diameters.
The above-mentioned variability of plugs often results in socket legs being plastically deformed from conventional receptacles of such receptacles or couplings, especially with large diameter contact pins or torque loads on the plug or coupling, especially when lever forces or tensile loads on the plugs or couplings or on attached connection cables.
Furthermore, it can occur in conventional contact sockets and plugs with pins that have small diameter, that is pressed due to acting transverse or leverage forces at least the free end of the inserted contact pin from a desired clamping position in the insertion of the contact sockets against the two socket legs in that either the bushing legs and, as the case may be, the socket or coupling housing are plastically deformed and damaged because of the strong leverage and / or that the contact pin is forced out of the desired clamping position in the insertion opening sideways through the two distanced bushing legs and then pressed possibly also damaged the socket or the coupling. The result may be a loss of the spring action of the electrical contact and / or overheating to a burning of the contact sockets in any case.
An object of the invention is therefore to provide a comparison with the prior art improved contact socket for sockets or couplings, which can accommodate different diameters of pins and thus can be used flexibly. In addition, the contact socket according to the invention and a present invention equipped socket or coupling should be protected from damage by plastic deformation or at least resistant to possible transverse, tensile or leverage forces acting on a plug, a coupling or a cable attached thereto to the contact socket can.
Another object of the invention is to ensure a simple, safe and / or space-saving installation of the contact socket according to the invention in a socket or coupling. In addition, an economical production should be possible.
As a solution, the invention proposes a contact socket and a socket or coupling with the features of the independent claims. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.
Accordingly, the invention proposes a contact socket for sockets or couplings with two resilient, an insertion opening forming female legs, between which a pin of a connector is clamped by the fact that the two socket legs are resiliently diverted when the pin is inserted perpendicular to the deflection plane in the insertion.
The contact socket according to the invention has a fork with a first and a second outer leg, between which a first and a second inner leg is formed, wherein the inner legs are respectively disposed at the free ends of the outer legs and form at one free end of the bushing legs, wherein between the socket and outer legs free areas are formed, so that when inserting the contact pin in the insertion opening, the two socket legs can be deflected resiliently outward into the free areas.
According to the invention between the socket and outer legs, in particular on the first and / or the second outer leg, at least one boundary formed, which limits the deflection of the first and / or second sleeve leg.
Preferably, such a boundary is formed on the first and / or second outer leg in the manner of a bow directed towards the bushing leg. In addition, as an alternative or in addition, such a limitation may be formed by reinforcing the material on the inside of the first and / or second outer leg or on the first and / or second bushing leg.
The contact socket according to the invention thus offers on the one hand the advantage that different diameters of contact pins can be accommodated and thus the contact socket or the socket or coupling can be used flexibly.
Furthermore, however, the freedom of movement is limited in terms of the deflectability of the bushing legs, so that the resistance of the contact socket according to the invention and a socket or coupling equipped therewith increased against plastic deformation and relative to the contact pin acting transverse, tensile or leverage. The spring action of the contact socket thus remains much longer.
By at least one formed on the outer leg in the manner of a bow directed towards the bushing leg boundary is also a further portion formed with spring-damping properties, the beyond the inherent stability of the contact socket is improved and easy to produce.
In a further preferred embodiment of the contact socket according to the invention, this has a spring back, which connects the first with the second outer leg. Based on this, in a further particularly preferred embodiment, the outer legs, the inner legs, the socket legs and the spring back can be bent from a single elongated piece of sheet metal, whereby the inherent stability of the contact socket is further increased and the required production steps are reduced.
Alternatively, however, only one connecting element may be provided between the first and the second outer limb, which connects the first to the second outer limb, wherein the connecting element is anchored in particular to the first and the second outer limb.
However, the spring back is particularly preferably shaped such that it additionally includes such a connection element.
Suitably, such a supplemental or alternative connecting element is fixed to at least one of the boundaries. In this way, in particular, it is achieved that the contact bush is considered to be held together in a dimensionally stable manner and the two outer limbs are permanently held at the same distance from each other regardless of which forces act on the spring legs of the contact socket.
It is also advantageous if the connecting element is configured as an electrical connection element, so that an electrical conductor can also be connected thereto, depending on the specific design.
Furthermore, at least one of the two bushing legs can be shaped such that the insertion opening is conical or funnel-shaped, so that a plug pin with the least possible resistance in the insertion opening is easy to insert.
The invention also relates to a socket and a coupling in which a contact socket according to the invention is included. Such a socket preferably has a housing in which the contact socket is appropriately fixed in the socket or the coupling. It is advantageous if the contact socket is fixed on the first and second outer leg and the first and the second inner leg is resiliently movable.
