Abstract
Verfahren zum Stufenwalzen eines Metallbandes (4), wobei das Metallband (4) von einer Ablaufhaspelvorrichtung (5) abgewickelt und von einer Aufhaspelvorrichtung (6) aufgewickelt wird, wobei das Metallband (4) während des Walzprozesses durch einen zwischen zwei Arbeitswalzen (1,2) gebildeten Walzspalt (3) geführt wird und der Walzspalt (3) während des Walzprozesses gezielt verändert wird, wobei hierdurch eine Banddicke des Metallbandes (4) stufenweise in Längsrichtung (7) während des Walzprozesses verändert wird, wobei ein auf das Metallband (4) aufgebrachter Bandzug gezielt so gesteuert wird, dass die von den Arbeitswalzen (1,2) auf das Metallband (4) aufgebrachte Walzkraft während des Walzprozesses konstant oder annähernd konstant ist.
