Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The current invention disclosure pertains to a waterproof bag for containing articles in an airtight, waterproof environment.
  • BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
  • In the past, it has been very difficult for a person to carry both wet and dry articles at one time. Usually, two carrying bags have been required to keep the wet and dry articles separate from one another. The bag holding the wet articles usually has an undesirable leak or drip. If a person were carrying something in addition to the carrying bag, the wet and dry articles would typically be wrapped in some type of waterproof material and placed in the same bag. This procedure requires time to wrap the articles separately from one another, and results in a waste of material because the waterproof wrapping is thrown away. Furthermore, it is almost invariably the case that the wrapping comes loose when travelling, and the articles come in contact with each other. Therefore, the articles, which were dry when initially placed in the bag, become wet or damp.
  • U.S.Patent. No. 4,155,453 discloses a bag that is rather large and bulky, and requires considerable space for storage. Another Zipper-type closure bag has been found not entirely satisfactory when used around sand and water, as they are susceptible to breakage.
  • U.S. Patent. No. 4,421,150 describes a bag that has a waterproof enclosure contained within an outer case that has a cover flap. This fastens over a closure by a yieldable fastener to seal an article within the enclosure in a generally airtight, waterproof environment.
  • U.S.Patent Application No. US 20120128273 A1 discloses a waterproof, self-sealing container that is sealed by magnet-to-magnet contact, making the container airtight and water resistant. This bag is waterproof, but the use of magnets to seal the bag makes it expensive.
All of the above mentioned prior art inventions are either bulky or expensive to manufacture. Therefore, it is required to have a waterproof bag that can be suitably used daily, and is cost effective.
  • The current invention disclosure specifically provides a solution to mitigate the problems in existing prior arts. The current invention discloses a waterproof bag that is available in various sizes, and is devoid of any extra securing means. This makes it more easy to manufacture and easy to utilize.
  • BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The current invention discloses a waterproof bag that has an effective closure secured by means of drawstrings.
  • Accordingly, an important objective of the present invention is to provide a generally airtight waterproof bag that has an improved closure mechanism.
  • Yet another important objective of the present invention is to provide a waterproof bag that has a safety closure, which maintains the waterproof environment thereof.
  • Still another objective of the present invention is to provide a simple, reliable waterproof bag for containing articles that is simple, inexpensive, and provides a reliable yet unbreakable closure for the waterproof environment.
  • The objective of the current invention is to provide a waterproof bag that is durable, easy to pack, and is water resistant.
  • The current invention is both highly cost efficient and structurally feasible.
  • Other objectives of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art once the invention has been shown and described. These objectives are not to be construed as limitations of the applicant's invention, but are merely aimed to suggest some of the many benefits that may be realized by the apparatus of the present application with its many embodiments. In addition to the various objectives and advantages of the present invention, described with some degree of specificity above, it should be obvious that additional objectives and advantages of the present invention will become more readily apparent to those persons who are skilled in the relevant art from the following more detailed description of the invention.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS
  • To further clarify various aspects of some example embodiments of the present invention, a more particular description of the invention will be rendered by reference to specific embodiments thereof, which are illustrated in the appended drawing. It is appreciated that the drawing depicts only illustrated embodiments of the invention, and is, therefore, not to be considered limiting of its scope. The invention will be described and explained with additional specificity and detail through the use of the accompanying drawing, in which:
    • FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating waterproof bag constructed according to the present invention.
    • FIG.2 is a perspective view of the designer logo placed on the top right side of the waterproof bag.
    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The embodiments of the present disclosure, described below, are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the disclosure to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that others skilled in the art may appreciate and understand the principles and practices of the present disclosure.
  • The following embodiments and the accompanying drawings, which are incorporated into and form part of this disclosure, illustrate embodiments of the invention and, together with the description, serve to explain the principles of the invention.
  • The current invention is an easy to slide waterproof bag, including the package body, with a drawstring and pocket.
  • The current invention is a waterproof bag that is made of waterproof Rip-top coated material 1. The waterproof bag disclosed herein has a drawstring 2 to close and open the opening end of the bag. The drawstrings are double flapped in order to minimize the wear and tear that may be caused due to pulling of drawstrings over a period of time. The drawstrings' ends are tied together by use of macrame cord 3, which has an inbuilt plastic spring stop toggle cord lock. The waterproof bag is also provided with an additional pocket 4 placed in the center of the bag over the front panel of the bag. The pocket is secured by the flap 5, which covers the open end of the pocket with a button 6. The pocket attached to the bag has a plastic backing that is preferably 1 inch in length and 1 inch in height. The size of the button placed on to the flap to secure the open end of the pocket is 1 inch, which is remove-ably secured in button enclosure of size 1.25 inches. The load bearing capacity of the waterproof bag disclosed herein is 15 pounds.
  • The waterproof bag disclosed herein is also provided with a logo, as shown in Fig 2 , that provides a trendy look to bag. The logo has a bright yellow base with a green umbrella and a raindrop falling on top of the umbrella. The logo 7 is preferably placed on the right side top corner of the bag.
  • Although specific embodiments have been illustrated and described herein, it will be appreciated by those of ordinary skill in the art that any arrangement that is calculated to achieve the same purpose may be substituted for the specific embodiment shown. This application is intended to cover any adaptations or variations of the present invention.
  • Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention.
