Locking system (10), comprising a lock case (16) for being arranged on a leaf (12) of a door or a window, the lock case (16) having a blocking element (18), a handle and an actuator (22) which can be controlled on the basis of access authorization and is intended for coupling and separating the blocking element (18) and handle, a receiving element (32) being provided for retrieving the access authorization, a control device (30) being provided for controlling the actuator (22) on the basis of a received signal and a battery (28) being provided for supplying the actuator (22) with power, the control device (30) and/or the battery (32) being connected to the actuator (22) by means of cable connections (34), characterized in that the receiving element (32), the control device (30) and the battery (28) are arranged on the leaf (12) and outside the lock case (16) and in an additional module (24) that has a housing (26) provided separately from the lock case (16), the housing (26) being designed to be mounted on a faceplate (42) of the leaf (12) or having a faceplate (42) or faceplate portion.
  2. Locking system (10) according to claim 1, characterized in that none of the components receiving element, control device and battery are arranged in the lock case (16).
