Description

    Technical field of the invention
  • The present invention concerns a process for the production of paper book perfume in order to make a the essence of a book, its perfume.
  • State of the art
  • The preparation of hydrolates namely preparations obtained by passing a current of water vapor through the plant drugs from which you want to extract the volatile active ingredients and doing, subsequently, condensing said active ingredients, is a process known since 1800. An example of preparation of a hydrolate with an extraction device is described in CN10870925-A .
  • The preparation of paper book perfume has never been carried out. Each book gives off its scent and dissemination of electronic books to readers could take away the pleasure to smell the book you are reading. The scent of paper book can return the pleasure of feeling also this sensation while reading an e-book, which otherwise would be lost by the reader.
  • Summary of the Invention
  • The present invention utilizes a distillation process for preparing the paper book perfume.
  • From the book we extract its essence that becomes perfume and characterizes its smell.
  • Description of an embodiment of the invention
  • Hereinafter a way of carrying out the invention is described, which is given by a non-limiting way. For example sheets or pages of a book can be used as whole pages or parts of pages or pages finely chopped or pages reduced in any way.
  • A book or a part of it, such as sheets and pages, has its scent and the present invention arises in order to gather the scent of the book through the process developed in the present invention.
  • The process for production of paper book perfume is performed by operating the following steps:
    1. a) More sheets a book are reduced in pieces;
    2. b) paper is macerated for 15-20 days soaking it in alcohol at 96 °;
    3. c) the soaked paper is then pressed;
    4. d) the macerated liquid is filtered;
    5. e) the filtered liquid is distilled, in a glass alembic, into a first container;
    6. f) after having evaporated 90% of the filtered liquid, the distillation is interrupted in order to collect the few ml of filtered liquid that remain at the bottom of the still, separately, in a second container;
    7. g) the few ml of macerated material collected from the bottom of the still are filtered;
    8. h) the first container holding the distilled liquid is covered with a cotton cloth, or in alternative with cotton, for a few days, until the odour of the distilled product in contact with oxygen softens and improves;
    9. i) the distilled product is filtered.
    10. j) finally the filtered distilled product is united with the second part of the separately collected filtered, macerated material.
  • The result of the process carried out with the present invention is a perfume unique for each type of book.
  • Furthermore, in the distilling of the filtered macerated material the first part is discarded and the second part is collected instead, that is the "heart" of the distilled product.
  • Moreover, the heart of the filtered, distilled product is united with the second part of the filtered, macerated liquid collected separately.
  • The discovery, it should be noted, is not limited to the description given, but may be perfected and modified by men skilled in the art without, however, exceeding the limits of patent.
  • The present invention allows numerous advantages and to overcome difficulties that could not be overcome with the systems on sale at present.

Claims (3)

  1. A process for the production of paper-book perfume, characterized by the fact that it is made by carrying out the following phases:
    a) Multiple pages of a book are cut or torn into small pieces;
    b) the paper is soaked for 15/20 days, immerged in alcohol at 96 ° (degrees);
    c) the soaked paper is then pressed;
    d) the macerated liquid is filtered;
    e) the filtered liquid is distilled, in a glass alembic, into a first container;
    f) after having evaporated 90% of the filtered liquid, the distillation is interrupted in order to collect the few ml of filtered liquid that remain at the bottom of the still, separately, in a second container;
    g) the few ml of macerated material collected from the bottom of the still are filtered;
    h) the first container holding the distilled liquid is covered with a cotton cloth, or in alternative with cotton, for a few days, until the odour of the distilled product in contact with oxygen softens and improves;
    i) the distilled product is filtered;
    j) finally the filtered distilled product is united with the second part of the separately collected filtered, macerated material.
  2. Process for the production of book-paper perfume, according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that in the distilling of the filtered macerated material the first part is discarded and the second part is collected instead, that is the "heart" of the distilled product.
  3. Process for the production of paper-book perfume according to claim 2, characterized by the fact that the heart of the filtered, distilled product is united with the second part of the filtered, macerated liquid collected separately.
