Description

  • The present invention relates to a cooling device comprising a bottle holder.
  • Various solutions have been developed in order that bottles can be stored inside the cooling device without occupying much space in the inner volume of the cooling device. These solutions are generally bottle holders of various configurations positioned above or under the shelves that divide the inner space of the cooling device into partitions.
  • In the state of the art International Patent Application No. WO2005059458 , bottle holders, which are moved along a rail group, are explained. These bottle holders enable one bottle to be stored when aligned at the same level such that their horizontal or vertical axes intercept, and enable more than one bottle to be stored when not aligned at the same level.
  • European Patent Application EP 1 239 245 A2 discloses a device for supporting objects in a refrigerator, comprising a vertical supporting element that is pivotally connected to a holder for a bottle and that further comprises elastic wings cooperating with a perpendicular step for hooking the device to a shelf.
  • The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooling device comprising a bottle holder that occupies less space when not in use. The cooling device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a bottle holder having a holding plate that forms a volume whereon an item, especially a bottle, can be placed and a support plate around the edge, whereon the holding plate is mounted, of which, the holding plate moves. In situations wherein the bottle holder is not used, the holding plate is changed from a position of serving as a bottle holder wherein there is a 90 degree angle between the holding plate and the support plate to a position of being folded on the support plate. Thus, the space occupied by the foldable bottle holder inside the body is reduced. When the holding plate is in a position almost parallel with the shelf, a volume is formed between the holding plate and the shelf wherein the bottle can be placed. The holding plate supports the bottle placed thereon by supporting it from below and thus enables the bottle to be stored under the shelf inside the body.
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder is portable. The bottle holder can be mounted to the desired shelf and is stored outside the cooling device when not in use.
  • In the present invention, the position of the bottle holder on the shelf is changed without taking the bottle holder out of the shelf. Thus, the user can easily position the bottle holder as desired by sliding it on the shelf.
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder comprises an extension that is provided on the edge of the support plate from where the support plate is mounted to the shelf and that enables the bottle holder to be mounted to the shelf. By means of the extension, the support plate is suspended from the shelf so as to slide on the shelf.
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder comprises a fixing means that is provided on the support plate and whereon the shelf is seated when the bottle holder is mounted to the shelf. The shelf, one surface of which bears against the extension and the other surface against the fixing means, carries the bottle holder in a rigid manner.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the bottle holder comprises a pin that is provided on the edge of the holding plate and that enables the bottle holder to change from the open position to the closed position, and at least two housings wherein the pin is pivotably mounted. By means of the pin rotating inside the housing wherefrom it is pivoted, the bottle holder is changed from the open position of enabling bottles to be stored thereon to the closed position of occupying a minimum amount of space in the cooling volume.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the bottle holder comprises a rib that extends on the support plate so as to remain between the two opposite housings and limits the rotational movement of the holding plate. When a bottle is placed on the holding plate, the edge of the holding plate that is mounted to the support plate moves upwards with the effect of the weight of the bottle. By means of the rib, the rotational movement of the holding plate is limited and the holding plate is prevented from turning upside down.
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder comprises at least one ramp-shaped locking means that is provided at the edge of the support plate whereon the holding plate is mounted, against the surface of which the holding plate bears when the bottle holder is in the closed position and that prevents the holding plate from dislodging from the support plate.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the holding plate is concave matching with the form of the bottle. Thus, the bottle can be easily placed on the holding plate and stored more safely.
  • A cooling device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures, where:

    • Figure 2 - is the perspective view of the bottle holder in the open position in an embodiment of the present invention.
    • Figure 3 - is the perspective view of the bottle holder in the closed position in an embodiment of the present invention.

  • The cooling device (1) of the present invention comprises a body (2) wherein items to be cooled are stored, one or more shelves (3) positioned into the body (2) at different heights and a bottle holder (6) having a holding plate (4) mounted on the shelf (3), suitable for placing a bottle (B) thereon and a support plate (5) that enables the holding plate (4) to be suspended from the shelf (3).
  • The bottle holder (6) of the present invention comprises an open position wherein the holding plate (4) is moved away from the shelf (3) by being rotated around the axis where the holding plate (4) is connected to the support plate (5) and a closed position wherein the holding plate (4) is positioned almost parallel with the support plate (5) by being rotated towards the shelf (3). When the bottle holder (6) is in the closed position, the holding plate (4) is folded over the support plate (5). In this position, the bottle holder (6) occupies a minimum amount of space in the cooling volume. When the holding plate (4) is rotated 90 degrees around the axis where the holding plate (4) is connected to the support plate (5), the bottle holder (6) is changed to the open position from the closed position. Thus, a loading volume is created on the bottle holder (6) that enables loading a bottle (B).
  • In a derivative of this embodiment, when the bottle holder (6) is in the closed position, the support plate (5) bears against the side wall of the body (2) and the holding plate (4) is folded over the support plate (5). In this situation, no bottle can be loaded on the holding plate (4). Thus, the bottle holder (6) is enabled to occupy a minimum amount of space inside the body (2).
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder (6) is detachably mounted on the shelf (3). Thus, the bottle holder (6) is taken out of the cooling device (1) when not required to be used for a long period of time.
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder (6) is displaced by being slid along the shelf (3). Thus, the user positions the bottle holder (6) on the shelf (3) as desired and the space under the shelf (3) is used efficiently.

The bottle holder (6) is fixed to shelf (3) so that the edge of the shelf (3) remains between the extension (7) and the fixing means (8).
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the bottle holder (6) comprises a pin (9) that is provided on the holding plate (4) and two housings (10) provided on the support plate (5), wherein the pin (9) is rotatably seated.
  • In an embodiment of the present invention, the bottle holder (6) comprises a rib (11) that is positioned close to the level of the housing (10) on the support plate (5) and that limits the rotational movement of the holding plate (4). The rib (11) serves as guardrail that prevents the holding plate (4) from stretching downwards with the effect of the weight of the bottle (B) placed on the holding plate (4). Thus, the bottle (B) can be stored more safely.
  • In the present invention, the bottle holder (6) comprises at least one ramp-shaped locking means (12) that is provided at the edge of the support plate (5) whereon the holding plate (4) is mounted, against the surface of which the holding plate (4) bears when the bottle holder (6) is in the closed position and that prevents the holding plate (4) from dislodging from the support plate (5).
  • In embodiment of the present invention, the holding plate (4) is concave that is suitable to hold the bottle (B) by grasping. Thus, the bottle (B) can be easily placed on the holding plate (4) and stored on the holding plate (4) without sliding.
  • With the present invention, by means of the foldable and detachable bottle holder (6), the space inside the body (2) is used efficiently. The holding plate (4), that forms a loading volume enabling the loading of a bottle (B) thereon, is almost entirely connected with the support plate (5) by being folded over the support plate (5) when the bottle holder (6) is not in use and thus the bottle holder (6) is enabled to occupy less space inside the body (2).

Claims (4)

  1. A cooling device (1) comprising a body (2) wherein items to be cooled are stored, one or more than one shelf (3) positioned into the body (2), and a bottle holder (6) with a holding plate (4) mounted on the shelf (3), suitable for supporting a bottle (B) placed thereon and with a support plate (5) that enables the holding plate (4) to be suspended from the shelf (3),
    wherein the bottle holder (6)
    - can be changed by being rotated around the axis where the holding plate (4) is connected to the support plate (5) from an open position of serving as a bottle holder wherein there is a 90 degree angle between the holding plate (4) and the support plate (5) to a closed position of being folded on the support plate wherein the holding plate (4) is positioned almost parallel to the support plate (5),
    - is detachably mounted on the shelf (3),
    - can be displaced by being slid along the shelf (3),
    characterized by the bottle holder (6) comprising
    - an extension (7) that extends almost along the support plate (5) and that facilitates the mounting of the support plate (5) on the shelf (3) and the movement of the support plate (5) on the shelf (3) by sliding,
    - a fixing means (8) that is provided on the support plate (5) and that enables the bottle holder (6) to grasp the shelf (3) together with the extension (7),
    - at least one ramp-shaped locking means (12) that is provided at the edge of the support plate (5) whereon the holding plate (4) is mounted, against the surface of which the holding plate (4) bears when the bottle holder (6) is in the closed position and that prevents the holding plate (4) from dislodging from the support plate (5).
  2. A cooling device (1) as in claim 1, characterized by the bottle holder (6) comprising a pin (9) provided the holding plate (4) and two housings (10) provided on the support plate (5), wherein the pin (9) is rotatably seated.
  3. A cooling device (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the bottle holder (6) comprising a rib (11) that is positioned close to the level of the housing (10) on the support plate (5) and that limits the rotational movement of the holding plate (4).
  4. A cooling device (1) as in any one of the above claims, characterized by the concave holding plate (4) suitable to carry the bottle (B) by grasping.
