Description

The present invention relates to a connection device for connecting a protective glove to a protective suit, in particular to a diving suit, with a retaining ring for connecting a first, protective suit-side connecting body and a second, glove-side connecting body.

Protective suits with appropriate protective gloves are used for different purposes and in various embodiments, such as as diving suits or chemical protective suits that can be used for example in the internal cleaning of a tank. The diving suit has the special problem of cooling the diver. Dry suits are known from the prior art, which have a significantly higher insulation effect than conventional wet suits or semi-dry suits due to their watertightness and an air layer surrounding the body. In general, dry suits are provided with latex or neoprene cuffs, which have a sealing effect on the wrist. To protect the diver's hands from cold, suitable protective gloves or diving gloves are connected to the sleeves of the drysuit. For chemical protective suits, tightness against liquids or gases is also required to achieve the protective effect.

The connection of protective gloves to the sleeves of a protective suit is in the document EP 2 082 655 A2 thematized, which proposes a connection device for connecting a protective glove to a protective suit, in particular to a diving suit, by means of which a safe connection of the protective glove with a sleeve of the suit can be made in a simple and easy to handle manner. For this purpose, the connection device has a first Connection body which is formed substantially tubular section-shaped and to which a part of a sleeve of the protective suit can be fixed, and a second connection body, which is formed substantially tubular section-shaped and to which the protective glove is fixable on, wherein an outer coupling ring is provided to the one of the two connection body is attached and can be screwed to the other of the two connection body.

It is an object of the invention to improve a prior art connector device so as to allow additional use of the expensive device.

The object is achieved by a connection device according to claim 1. In the dependent claims preferred embodiments and advantageous developments are given.

The connection device according to the invention for connecting a protective glove to a protective suit, in particular to a diving suit, has a securing ring for connecting a first, protective suit-side connecting body and a second, glove-side connecting body. The first connection body is in particular substantially tubular-section-shaped and can be fixed to a part of a sleeve of the protective suit, and the second connection body is in particular substantially tubular-shaped and can be fixed to the protective glove. The securing ring is attached, for example, as an outer coupling ring on one of the two connector body and screwed to the other of the two connector body, or connects in another way the first connector body with the second connector body. According to the invention it is provided that the retaining ring has a device carrier for attaching equipment.

The equipment may be equipment, in particular measuring instruments, diving equipment or communication means, as well as lighting, armament or tools, including tool sets. An advantage of the connection device according to the invention is that a separate holding device for the equipment is saved on the protective suit. The connection device has sufficient Stability for attachment of equipment. The position of the connection device in the area of the upper arms of the diver or the sleeves of the protective suit allows good accessibility of the equipment.

According to a preferred embodiment, it is provided that a connection between the first and the second connector body in the manner of a cone clutch can be produced, the connector body thus substantially at least partially have conical walls which are inserted into each other form a self-locking and sealing coupling. The first connection body has, in particular, an inner surface which is conically shaped at least in sections, wherein the second connection body has an outer surface which is conically shaped at least in sections. The respective cone angles are in particular substantially the same, so that the first connection body can be inserted at least in sections into the second connection body.

According to a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the locking ring locks when pushed onto the second connection body with this. Further preferably, the securing ring is fixable by means of at least one coupling closure to the first connection body and / or to the second connection body. It is particularly preferably provided that the securing ring, in particular in the latched state, is rotatable relative to the second connection body and with respect to the first connection body when the at least one coupling closure is released. As a result, the retaining ring with the equipment carrier is advantageously also rotatable during operation, which allows an adjustment of the equipment, which would not be possible with a screwed-over cover. The first connection body and the second connection body are preferably not or at least only with considerable effort rotatable relative to each other, since at least one sealing ring between the two connection bodies is arranged and clamped such that such a rotational movement is greatly inhibited. If the at least one coupling closure is closed, the securing ring is preferably fixed relative to the first connection body and / or with respect to the second connection body in the direction of rotation.

Further preferred is the at least one coupling closure as a clamping closure for clamping the securing ring against the first connection body in provided in the axial direction. Particularly preferred are at least two coupling closures are provided, which are distributed in particular as evenly as possible over the circumference. As an alternative variant, it is preferably provided that the at least one coupling closure is provided as a clamping closure for reducing a circumference of the securing ring, in order to allow a tensioning of the securing ring relative to the second connection body in the radial direction. The axial direction is to be understood in the pipe-section-shaped connecting bodies and the retaining ring, the direction along the pipe section formed, while the radial direction is to be understood as a direction perpendicular to the axial direction through a central axis of the pipe section.

The device carrier itself could for example be made in one piece with the retaining ring. Preferably, however, the device carrier is positively releasably connected to the retaining ring and interchangeable with a variety of other equipment carriers that may be adapted for certain equipment, interchangeable. For this purpose, the device carrier particularly preferably has a fastening groove open on one side, which is designed with an undercut, which can also be referred to as a dovetail groove. The locking ring has a form-fitting engaging in the mounting groove rail, wherein the rail has dovetail-shaped formations which engage in the undercut of the mounting groove. The fastening groove preferably has a stop for the rail, which means that the fastening groove is guided guided in the circumferential direction of the locking ring on the rail, so that a positive connection in the radial and axial direction is formed until the stop is reached in the circumferential direction. The release of the device carrier with the mounting groove of the locking ring with the rail takes place in the reverse direction.

According to a further preferred embodiment, it is provided that the equipment carrier has a holder for connection to a carrier closure on the securing ring. The device carrier can be clamped in particular by the carrier closure with the securing ring, the carrier closure particularly preferably bracing the device carrier against the rail of the securing ring. As a result, an advantageous simple way of securing the device carrier is created because the carrier closure allows a quick replacement of the equipment carrier. The carrier closure may be particularly preferably identical to the coupling closure described above as a tension lock for reducing a circumference of the locking ring, so that the carrier closure performs a dual function.

With reference to the FIG. 1 a connection device 11 is described according to the prior art. A sleeve 12 of a protective suit, which may be for example a diving suit, in particular a dry suit, has at its end a sleeve cuff 13, which in the case of a dry suit, for example, may be made of latex. To connect a protective glove 10 to a protective suit, the connecting device 11 has a first, essentially tubular section-shaped connecting body 2 and a second connecting body 3, which is likewise substantially tubular, and which can be made of plastic.

The first connection body 2 is connected to the sleeve 12 of the protective suit. The second connection body 3 is in turn connected to the protective glove 10. The first and second connection body 2, 3 are releasably connected to one another by means of an outer coupling ring 14. The diameters of the two connection bodies 2, 3 are chosen so that a user's hand can be comfortably passed through them.

FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the connecting device 1 according to the invention for connecting a protective glove to a protective suit (not shown) with a retaining ring 4 for connecting a first, protective suit side connector body 2 and a second, glove-side connector body 3, wherein the first connector body 2 is formed substantially tubular section-shaped and on a part of a sleeve of the protective suit can be fixed and the second connection body 3 is formed substantially tubular section-shaped and can be fixed to the protective glove. For this purpose, the first and the second connection body 2, 3 in the region of the inner circumference in each case grooves or comparable suitable formations for receiving clamping rings (not shown), which in connection with FIG. 3B to be described in more detail. The likewise pipe-section-shaped retaining ring 4 has a conically shaped outer surface and a substantially parallel to the outer surface, also conically shaped inner surface. The first and second connecting bodies 2, 3 also each have substantially, at least in sections, conically shaped outer surfaces. The first connection body 2 also has an at least partially conically shaped inner surface. The cone angle of all outer and inner surfaces is substantially the same, so that the first connector body 2 is at least partially inserted into the second connector body 3 and the second connector body 3 at least partially inserted into the retaining ring 4, whereby the connection device 1 according to the invention a connection between the first and the second connection body 2, 3 in the manner of a cone clutch can be produced.

In the illustrated embodiment, two, offset by 180 ° about the outer circumference, acting in the axial direction of the coupling closures 6 are arranged on the retaining ring 4, the securing ring 4 to the first Anschlussköper second to back up. According to the invention, the securing ring 4 has on its outer circumference a device carrier 5 for fastening equipment (not shown), which is secured by a carrier closure 17. The carrier closure 17 is preferably identical to the coupling closures 6, but acts in the circumferential direction of the securing ring between a holder 16 on which the equipment carrier 5 and a second receptacle 15 on the securing ring 4. The carrier closure 17 is fixed, optionally detachable, with the receptacle 15th connected and engages behind the hook-shaped holder 16. The coupling closures 6 and the carrier closure 17 are preferably designed as a clamping closures, of which here each of the clamping hook, but not the clamping lever is shown. These allow a quick loosening and closing without tools and can compensate by a resilient clamping hook advantageous installation tolerances and compensate for voltage losses during operation, which can occur due to wear or setting of seals.

The FIG. 3A shows the connection device 1 according to FIG. 2 shown in a side view. In the FIG. 3B is a detail in section along a line BB in FIG. 3A in which the first connector body 2, the second connector body 3 and the retaining ring 4, in the given order from inside to outside, are shown arranged one inside the other. The first connection body 2 has a circumferential recess 27 for receiving a first clamping ring, not shown, for connection to the diving suit (not shown). An open to the outside, circumferential groove 19 serves to receive a ring seal, not shown, for sealing against the inner wall of the second connector body 3. This has to attach the glove a circumferential groove 22 for receiving a second clamping ring, not shown, which for clamping attachment of Glove (not shown) is used. An intermediate space 24 is provided for receiving a sealing ring disk, not shown, between the first connection body 2 and the second connection body 3. On the outside of the second connection body 3 revolving, a ramp-shaped locking lug 21 is arranged on which the locking ring 4 engages with a circumferential on the inside locking groove 25 when it is pushed to the stop on the second connector body 3. The stopper forms a shoulder 23 on the second connection body 3, on which a shoulder 26 of the securing ring 4 comes to rest. The ramp-shaped locking lug 21 is shaped such that a latching in a Sliding the locking ring 4 counteracts a lower resistance, as a release of the locking connection in a removal of the locking ring. 4

The attachment of the second connector body 3 to the first connector body 2 is also limited by a stop, since the shoulder 23 comes to rest on the second connector body 3 at a shoulder 20 of the first connector body 2. The shoulder 20 of the first connector body 2 has a crown-shaped edge, behind which engage the coupling closures 6 with the pivotally mounted clamping hook to prevent separation of the connecting device 1. Nevertheless, it is possible to open the coupling closures 6 during operation, since a sufficiently large self-locking force counteracts a separation between the first and second connection bodies 2, 3. The circlip 4 is held on the basis of its latching connection in the axial direction of the second connection body 3, but can be rotated with open coupling closures 6 in the circumferential direction, whereby the equipment held on the equipment carrier 5 can be advantageously adjusted during operation. A deliberate separation of the first and second connection body 2, 3 from each other is facilitated by the elastically compressed sealing ring in the groove 19, which acting on the conical inner surface of the second connection body 3 restoring force has a first connection body 2 of the second connection body 3 separating force component. As a result, the counteracting by self-locking of the separation resistance decreases so slowly that the coupling closures 6 can be briefly opened to rotate the locking ring 4, but a desired separation is still supported.

The FIGS. 4A and 4B show the locking ring 4 as a single part in two side views, with the mounted equipment carrier 5, but without the locking carrier closure 17. The equipment carrier 5 is positively connected to the retaining ring 4. For this purpose, the circlip 4 a form-fitting engaging in a mounting groove 7 of the device carrier 5 rail 18, wherein the rail 18 has a dovetailed or kederförmige shape, which cooperates with a corresponding undercut of the mounting groove 7. The equipment carrier 5 will be described below with reference to FIG FIG. 5 in conjunction with the FIGS. 4A and 4B described in more detail.

The FIG. 5 shows the equipment carrier 5 in different views. The device carrier 5 preferably has a fastening groove 7 which is open on one side and which is designed with an undercut, which can also be referred to as a dovetail groove or piping groove. The locking ring 4 has a form-fitting engaging in the mounting groove 7 rail 18 (see FIG. 4A ), wherein the rail 18 dovetailed or kederförmige formations which engage in the undercut of the mounting groove 7. The fastening groove 7 preferably has a stop 9 for the rail 18, which means that the fastening groove 7 is guided guided in the circumferential direction of the locking ring 4 on the rail 18, so that a positive connection in the radial direction is formed until the stop 9 in the circumferential direction is reached. The release of the device carrier 5 with the mounting groove 7 of the locking ring 4 with the rail 18 takes place in the reverse direction. The device carrier 5 further comprises the holder 16 for the carrier closure 17 (see FIG. 2 ) on the retaining ring 4. By means of the carrier closure 17 designed as a tension lock, the device carrier 5 can be clamped on the securing ring 4 or against the rail 18.

The device carrier 5 has in the illustrated embodiment, a hinge-like device receptacle 8 for attaching the equipment. The equipment may be provided with a corresponding counterpart of the hinge-like receptacle 8. The device carrier 5 is preferably exchangeable, so that different forms of the receptacle 8 can be made available for different pieces of equipment. All gear tray 5 have identical to the mounting groove 7 for mounting on the rail 18 on the locking ring 4.
