Description

Modular shelving systems are characterized by the fact that they can be easily assembled or disassembled from individual components. In this way, they can be easily set up at their destination and set up or converted according to their needs there. They have proven particularly in the field of shop fitting, because in this case the ability of an individual adaptability to the ever-changing product ranges is desired. Also for the manufacturers of the shelving systems whose modular structure is advantageous because the individual components can be well stored and transported in disassembled state.

Typically, a modular shelving system is constructed of several perforated shelf columns, which are placed vertically on foot parts and in the perforation horizontally oriented brackets are hung to support shelf shelves. For visual reasons, but also to prevent goods from falling backwards, a rear wall is placed between the shelf columns. Often, a separate lighting concept is created for better visual presentation of goods arranged in the shelf, which brings the goods in an optimal light for them best advantage. In some cases, the necessary light sources are behind the shelf back wall, for example, to allow indirect lighting of the goods or the sales room.

The known in the prior art modular back panels have hooks with which they can be hung in holes of two spaced-apart shelf columns and thus form a rear end of the shelf support surface. In addition, the shelf columns are stabilized against lateral tilting by mounting the shelf rear walls. The disadvantage of such a shelving system, however, is that in the case of a plurality of shelf shelves mounted one above the other, the boundary area of two rear walls arranged one above the other does not end in a light-tight manner. This means that an observer, who sees the transition of the two shelf walls in a shelf, is given an undesired visual impression by a light source arranged on the other side of the shelf. From the US4508231A1 is a shelf back wall known. This disruptive optical effect is due, on the one hand, to manufacturing tolerances of the rear walls, which make an opaque termination of superimposed rear walls only inadequately possible. On the other hand, however, also contributes to the hinged rear walls with time occurring Bend helps to increase this negative effect. The deflection is mainly due to the weight of the rear wall. Furthermore, small distortions can occur in the rear wall, which can occur after a certain period of use due to shear forces transmitted from the shelf column to the rear wall.

The object of the present invention is to at least partially overcome the disadvantages described above and to provide a rear wall for a modular shelving system which is easy to manufacture, stable and at the same time allows a light-tight transition to a further rear wall arranged above or below it.

This object is achieved at least partially by the shelf rear wall defined in the present claim 1. The shelf back wall according to the invention according to claim 1 allows a light-tight transition to an above or below further arranged shelf rear wall and also serves to stabilize the rear wall against deflection in the installed state. The invention can also be applied in a corresponding manner to side walls of a shelf.

The other dependent claims describe further advantageous developments of the shelf rear wall.

  • Fig. 1 zeigt eine Frontalansicht zweier übereinander angeordneter Regalrückwände,
An embodiment of the present invention will be explained below with reference to the drawings.
  • Fig. 1 shows a frontal view of two superimposed shelf rear walls,
  • Fig. 2 shows a side view of the two stacked shelf rear walls, and
  • Fig. 3 shows the section indicated by auxiliary circle A in FIG Fig. 2 in an enlarged view.

In order to simplify an unambiguous description of the invention, a coordinate system fixed to the shelf rear wall is introduced, which with the aid of Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 is defined as follows.

As a longitudinal direction (in the suspended state of the shelf rear wall coinciding with the horizontal direction) applies the direction which extends from the one provided with connecting means for hanging in a rack column shelf back wall side to the other shelf rear wall side with connecting means.

As a width direction (in the hinged state of the shelf rear wall coinciding with the vertical direction) applies to the longitudinal direction orthogonal direction, which lies in the plane defined by the shelf rear wall plane. Therefore the width direction is defined so that it runs from the one longitudinal edge of the shelf rear wall to the other longitudinal edge of the shelf rear wall.

The depth direction is orthogonal to the longitudinal and width direction, thus describing the depth of the shelf in the hinged state of the shelf rear wall.

Der Übergangsbereich der beiden Rückwände 1 schließt lichtdicht und stabilisiert die beiden Rückwände 1 zusätzlich gegen die im eingehängten Zustand auftretende Durchbiegung der Rückwand 1.In the Fig. 1 shown shelf backs 1 have a substantially rectangular base plate 2 and are mounted on their width defining sides by means of connecting means 6 in vertical shelf columns (not shown). The transition region of the two rear walls 1 closes light-tight and stabilizes the two rear walls 1 in addition to the occurring in the suspended state deflection of the rear wall first

Fig. 2 shows a side view of the two superimposed rear walls 1 from Fig. 1 , To see are formed as a hook connecting means 6, which are designed to intervene in the suspended state in the space provided on the vertical shelf column perforations. Furthermore, each rear wall has on one of its longitudinal edges an element 3 extending in the depth direction from the base plate plane 2 of the rear wall. The transition region of the two rear walls 1 marked by the auxiliary circle A will be explained in more detail below.

Fig. 3 shows the transition region A of the two rear walls 1 in detail. Here, the exact shape of the extending from the base plate plane in the depth direction element 3 can be seen. The rear wall has at its longitudinal edges an element 3, which extends in the depth direction, which is perpendicular to the base plate plane of the base plate 2 extends. Furthermore, this element 3 has a recess 4 extending in the width direction and / or a rise 5 which increases in the width direction. The term depression describes an element descending from the longitudinal edge in the width direction to the respective opposite longitudinal edge, the expression increasing an element projecting from the longitudinal edge in the width direction with respect to the respective opposite longitudinal edge. In the in Fig. 3 The upper shelf rear wall shows on its adjoining side an element 3 with a recess 4 which is formed so that it can accommodate the increase 5 of the underlying shelf rear wall in itself. The recess 4 and the increase 5 cooperate as a groove 4 and spring 5 of a tongue and groove system.

This makes it possible to provide a light-tight transition between two shelf rear walls 1. One located on the front of the shelf rear wall 1 Regardless of the light conditions prevailing behind the shelf rear wall, the viewer receives an unadulterated visual impression, which can be realized as desired by appropriate lighting. In addition, the interlocking elevation 5 and recess 4 of the two superimposed rear walls 1 have a stabilizing effect against a deflection of the hinged shelf rear walls 1.

It is thus possible to install the lighting required in the shelf construction area without additional work behind the shelf rear wall 1, so that the light source does not shine through the transition region of the rear wall 1. Thus, the visual impression of a viewer of the shelf rear wall is not disturbed by a light source arranged behind it. Furthermore, the elastic support function emanating from the element 3 for a shelf rear wall arranged above it is advantageous against the sagging of the shelf rear wall which normally occurs over time.
