Description

The invention relates to a connector assembly according to the preamble of claim 1.

It is known e.g. Plug-in connector with an external thread, which can be secured via a nut designed to match the external thread in a recess of a wall. In order to use the connector with different wall thicknesses, usually the external thread is relatively long and thus usually designed with oversize. This has the disadvantage that the screwing of the fastening nut in many cases, especially at low wall thickness, is relatively time consuming. Moreover, such a threaded fastener has the risk that the nut may become loose, e.g. due to forces or vibrations acting on the connector.

A generic connector assembly is known from DE 10 2005 059 713 A1 known. The DE 10 2012 105 901 A1 shows a strain relief for an electrical connector and a device housing.

The invention has for its object to provide a connector assembly in which a connector can be securely fixed by means of a mounting ring in a recess of a wall in a simple and fast way.

This object is achieved by a connector assembly according to claim 1.

The invention has the advantage that the connector by means of the mounting ring with simple, ergonomic movement sequences can be quickly attached to the wall or within the recess. By appropriate dimensioning of the number of discrete rotational angular positions an adaptation to respective tasks is possible, for example, by providing less discrete rotational angular positions fast attachment or by providing a larger number of discrete rotational angle positions still relatively fast attachment, but a finely graded adaptability to different wall thicknesses.

The connector assembly or its connector may e.g. be designed as an electrical connector, pneumatic connector, hydraulic connector, optical connector or as a connector for other other media.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, one, several or all parts of the connector assembly are made of plastic, e.g. as an injection molded part. In particular, the housing of the connector, the fastening ring, the first and / or the second fastening means may be made of plastic. This has in addition to a rational and cost-effective production has the advantage that the components have a certain flexibility or elasticity, so that even with a relatively small number of discrete rotational angular positions flexible adaptability of the attachment of the connector assembly to different wall thicknesses is possible. Small differences between wall thicknesses can be absorbed by the elasticity of the plastic parts.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the fastening ring is rotatable by means of the second fastening means in cooperation with the first fastening means latching relative to the connector. Due to the stepped detent can easily and reliably different discrete rotational angle positions can be realized, in which the fastening ring is locked relative to the connector.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first and / or the second fastening means a plurality of successively ramp-shaped, stepped or sawtooth in a direction of rotation increasing detent positions.

According to an advantageous development of the invention, the first and / or the second attachment means have a sawtooth-like contour in side view of the attachment means.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first fastening means is arranged in the recess fastened in the interior of a connector having a hollow object or outside of the interior. The wall-mounted hollow object may for example be a housing of a device, eg of an electrical appliance. In a first variant, in which the first fastening means is arranged in the interior of the hollow object, the fastening ring can be slid onto the rear side of the connector arranged inside the interior, and during the insertion of the connector into the recess from the inside against the wall of the hollow Are led objects until the mounting ring rests against the wall. Then, the connector can be locked by means of an external latching means on the outside of the wall behind the recess. At the same time, the outer latching means form an abutment for the rotatable mounting ring. By rotating the mounting ring to a certain discrete rotational angular position such that the first attachment means cooperates with the second attachment means, the connector can be secured to the wall.

In a second variant of the connector can be performed with a pre-assembled thereon mounting ring turn from the inside of the hollow object in the recess, so that the mounting ring with a first fastening means, for example, may be radially projecting and cooperating with the second fastening means of the mounting ring , be attached to the wall of the hollow object. By a rotational movement of the mounting ring relative to the connector, the connector assembly is set in the recess by the second fastener such as a bayonet engages behind the wall. In this case, spatially separated latching means and axial fixing means may be provided as second fastening means. The locking means serve to fix the rotational angular position of the mounting ring relative to the connector and the Axialfixiermittel for axially fixing the connector in the recess.

In both variants, different wall thicknesses of the wall between the connector and the mounting ring can be accommodated.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first fastening means on the or the plug-in connections of the connector facing side of the wall or on the plug-in connections of the connector facing away from the wall is arranged.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the connector and / or the mounting ring at least one anti-rotation means, with which the connector assembly is secured in the recess against rotation about the longitudinal axis. This has the advantage that the connector assembly is fixed in the circumferential direction and can not be misaligned by external forces. By providing a separate anti-rotation means, moreover, the fastening arrangement, which is formed from the second fastening means in cooperation with the first fastening means, can be relieved of the absorption of circumferential forces and is therefore not affected by such peripheral forces in terms of their fixing effect.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the connector on an outer peripheral side of its housing at least one passable through the recess outer latching means, which is adapted to engage in the recess in the wall-mounted state of the connector assembly. The outer detent means may comprise at least one first abutment surface for abutment against the surface of the wall outside the recess and at least one second abutment surface for abutment within an inner peripheral side of the recess. In this way, the connector can be secured within the recess both against rotation about the longitudinal axis and axially fixed.

Thus, the connector assembly may be e.g. a number of discrete rotational angular positions in the range of 2 to 10, in particular 3 to 6, have. As a result, a favorable compromise between a simple and quick attachment of the connector assembly and a flexible adaptability to different wall thicknesses is achieved.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the connector is designed in several parts and has at least one contact carrier, in which the or the plug-in connections are arranged, and at least two shell-like composable and the contact carrier at least partially receiving in itself housing parts. In this way, a modular connector is provided which can be configured by providing differently shaped housing parts for the aforementioned different fastening variants. In this case, always the same plug-in connections having contact carrier can be used, so that the production and storage of the components of the connector assembly is favored despite high flexibility.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first and / or the second fastening means spatially separated latching means for fixing the rotational angular position of the mounting ring relative to the connector and Axialfixiermittel for axially fixing the connector in the recess. This has the advantage that the functions of Axialfixierung and the lockability are disengaged from each other in discrete rotational angular positions, so that the locking means and the Axialfixiermittel can be optimized separately from each other to their respective function.

The attachment of the mounting ring on the connector can then be done in a bayonet.

Based on the following FIGS. 8 to 16 A second embodiment of the connector assembly will be described. First, let's look at the FIGS. 8 and 9 received. The connector 1 in turn has a contact carrier 10 which, as in FIG. 1 is shown formed. Furthermore, two trained as half-shells housing parts 11, 12 are present, which except for the differences explained below the housing parts 11, 12 of the FIG. 1 correspond. The housing parts 11, 12 have as the first fastening means 2 each have a knob or latching projection, which, unlike in the embodiment of FIG. 1 , is arranged further close to the contact carrier 10 on the housing parts 11, 12. The housing parts 11, 12 also have an annular peripheral mounting flange 214, 224, which is designed to rest on the wall and takes over the function of the annular flange portion 30 of the mounting ring 3 of the first embodiment. On the contact carrier 10 facing side of the mounting flange 214, 224 also anti-rotation projections 228 on the housing parts 11, 12 are arranged. These have the second contact surfaces 128, which correspond in terms of their function to the second contact surfaces 128 of the first embodiment.

The FIG. 8 shows only the contact carrier 10 and the housing part 11. Die FIG. 9 shows the components according to FIG. 8 in assembled condition and additionally the housing part 12.

The FIG. 10 shows the connector 1 according to FIG. 9 in the assembled state and a fastening ring 3 provided for this purpose. In the second embodiment of the connector arrangement, the fastening ring 3 is designed to be put over the plug connector 1 on the front side, ie from the connection side. The fastening ring 3 in turn has longitudinal grooves 31 on the inner circumference, by means of which it can be guided over the first fastening means 2. The second fastening means of the mounting ring 3 are formed in this embodiment as spatially separate fastening means, on the one hand latching means 35 for fixing the rotational angular position of the mounting ring 3 relative to the connector 1 and Axialfixiermittel 34 for axially fixing the connector 1 in the recess. The latching means 35 are in the form of a circumferentially encircling, provided with steps slot-shaped recess, wherein the steps may be arranged in a sawtooth manner one behind the other and allow in this way a rotation only in one direction. The Axialfixiermittel 34 are arranged, for example, step-like rising one behind the other as a projection on the outer peripheral side of the mounting ring 3.

The FIG. 11 shows the completely slipped fastening ring 3 on the connector 1. The mounting ring 3 is still in its initial position, ie it has not been rotated to fix the connector assembly in a different discrete rotational angle position relative to the connector. The FIG. 12 shows a twisting of the mounting ring 3 relative to the connector 1 within the radially continuous locking contour of the locking means 35 to the first latching stage, that is, to the first discrete from the initial position angular position.

The connector assembly in the second embodiment may be mounted in a recess which may be the same as the recess 40 in the first embodiment with the extensions 41, 42. This is in the FIG. 13 shown. By the step-like increase of the Axialfixiermittel 34 while an axial fixation in the form of a clamping of the wall 4 between the mounting ring 3 and the annular mounting flange 214, 224 of the connector 1 is effected, as shown in the FIG. 14 is shown by a wall 40 having a first, relatively small wall thickness. It can be seen that the fastening ring 3 has to be rotated out of the starting position until it reaches its third and in this case penultimate rotational angular position. The FIG. 15 shows the attachment of the connector assembly at a wall with greater wall thickness. It can be seen that the fastening ring only has to be turned up to the second rotational angle position until an axial fixation has been achieved. The FIG. 16 additionally shows the case of an even smaller wall thickness than at FIG. 14 , In this case, all rotational angle positions are to be exploited, ie the fastening ring must be rotated to its last rotational angle position relative to the connector 1 in order to achieve the desired axial fixation.
