Claims (13)

  1. A method for producing a lining (1) for a furniture piece, in particular a seating furniture piece,
    wherein the lining (1) comprises at least one weft thread (2) made of a plastic and warp threads (3) made of a plastic,
    wherein the lining (1), after manufacture, is spread out without wrinkling for the furniture piece in a first step,
    wherein the lining (1) is subjected to a heat treatment in a second step in a first region (I) in which the lining (1) undergoes a lower clamping force in relation to adjoining regions after being clamped onto the furniture piece by a frame of the furniture piece while the lining (1) is exempted from the heat treatment in a second region (II) adjoining the first region (I),
    wherein the heat treatment is carried out with respect to a treatment temperature and a treatment duration in such a way that a shrinking process is triggered in the lining (1) in the treated first region (I).
  2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the lining (1) is treated with heat from the upper side.
  3. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the lining (1) is treated with heat from the lower side.
  4. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the lining (1) is treated with heat from the upper side and the lower side, wherein the treatments are carried out, in particular temporally one after the other, or in particular simultaneously.

    the lining (1) is shrunk in a first region (I), in which the frame acts on the lining (1) with a tensile stress being lower in relation to adjacent regions, and in that the lining (1) is not shrunk in a second region (II) adjoining the first region (I).
  12. A furniture piece according to claim 11, characterized in that the weft thread (2) consists of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPE-E) or a thermoplastic copolyester (TPC), as are known for example under the trade names Hytrel of the manufacturer DuPont or Riteflex of the manufacturer Ticona.
