Description

The invention relates to a lighting and / or signaling module comprising or intended to include a light source adapter, in particular a light-emitting diode, intended to rest on the support of a first optical element of this module. It also concerns the corresponding adapter.

Lighting and / or signaling devices for a motor vehicle, such as headlamps and rear lights, consist of a housing closed by a closing glass and containing one or more optical modules. The light beams emitted by these devices are produced by this or these optical module (s), which can operate together or separately. These optical modules include a light source associated with one or more optical deflection elements, and possibly covers, to modulate the shape of the beam as well as the distribution of the light intensity in this beam.

The document DE 10 2010 049 105 A1 describes a reflector fixed to a support acting as a radiator, the support comprising a cylindrical hole for positioning an adapter supporting a light source.

The document JP 2008 108613 A1 describes a reflector and a light source comprising complementary indexing means making it possible to position the reflector with respect to the source.

The document FR2950129 comprises an optical module using an LED, in order to allow the management of the power supply of this LED, this one is placed on a printed circuit. The printed circuit on which the LED is fixed is fixed on an adapter positioning it in the optical module. This adapter allows the LED of this module to be changed by removing and replacing the adapter. The positioning of the adapter must be precise so that the association with the optical elements generates the light beam of the desired shape. In particular, the light emitting element must be positioned precisely with respect to the focus of the first optical element, which collects the rays emitted from the surface of the light emitting element.

For this, this support is indexed in the three directions of space, X, Y, Z, relative to the support of the optical element.

A problem of the present invention is to improve this positioning.

The object of the invention is therefore an optical module for a device lighting and / or signaling for a motor vehicle as defined in claim 1 and comprising:
  • a first optical deflection element,
  • a support for this optical deflection element, said first optical deflection element being fixed to said support,
wherein said support comprises adapter fixing means adapted to fix an adapter to which is fixed a light source or to receive a fixing element of this adapter, and in which said first optical deflection element comprises means for adapter indexing arranged so as to be able to position this adapter relative to the first optical deflection element along two distinct and intersecting axes.

Thus this module comprises an adapter which will be indexed directly on the optical element, also called the optical deflection element in the present application, at least along two distinct and intersecting axes. Compared to the prior art, the Applicant could have sought to gain in machining or manufacturing precision of the elements, to position them during assembly even more precisely. In its inventive approach, it took a different direction and found a solution allowing it to reduce its rib chain, which, in particular in view of the examples disclosed in the prior art, in particular in view of FR2950129 , is not obvious. It has freed itself from indexing on the support of the element taught by the prior art and has found means for directly indexing the light source on the optical element at least along two axes. There is thus a chain of rib along these two reduced axes and enhanced precision. It should be noted that this advantage is obtained while maintaining an attachment to the support of the optical deflection element, this makes it possible to exert the forces during the removal of the adapter on the support and not directly on the deflection element. optical.

L'objet de l'invention est donc particulièrement adapté au remplacement de la source lumineuse notamment lorsqu'il s'agit d'une DEL.The object of the invention is therefore particularly suitable for replacing the light source, in particular when it is an LED.

  • les moyens d'indexation dudit support comprennent des orifices et/ou des tenons ; ceci permet de positionner et indexer un adaptateur comportant des formes complémentaires selon des mouvements simples ; ces moyens sont également faciles à réaliser ;
    • un matériau apte à conduire la chaleur,
    • des surfaces de contact comprenant une partie de ce matériau, de manière à transmettre la chaleur d'un élément qui serait au contact desdites surfaces de contact ;
ce support va pouvoir servir également de dissipateur thermique de l'adaptateur destiné à être monté dessus, et en particulier à dissiper directement la chaleur dégagée par la source de lumière fixée sur l'adaptateur ; ledit support peut comprendre des ailettes, le support étant alors un radiateur à ailettes ;
  • ledit support peut comprendre des ailettes arrière situées à l'arrière dudit support et derrière l'élément de déviation optique par rapport au sens de propagation selon lequel l'élément de déviation optique est destiné à dévier les rayons ; cela permet une fois le module monté à l'intérieur d'un dispositif d'éclairage et/ou de déviation, d'évacuer la chaleur vers l'arrière ; on augmente également la surface d'échange sans encombrement au niveau du trajet des rayons lumineux émis par la source et déviés par l'élément de déviation optique ;
  • les ailettes arrière comprennent un décrochement agencé de manière à créer un espace dégagé d'ailettes, à l'intérieur duquel se situe au moins une partie desdits moyens de fixation d'adaptateur ; on améliore ainsi la compacité du système ;
  • le support comprend également un connecteur destiné à être connecté d'une part à l'alimentation électrique d'un véhicule et d'autre part à la source de lumière, le connecteur étant logé dans ledit espace dégagé d'ailettes ;

    lesdites ailettes de guidage étant agencées de manière à permettre le guidage d'un bloc de largeur proche de la distance entre ces ailettes de guidage pour le positionner en contact avec ces surfaces d'appui ; ainsi lorsque l'adaptateur est un tel bloc, il est possible de le faire glisser alors même que le module est difficile d'accès et/ou qu'il n'est pas ou peu visible ; ces dites surfaces d'appui peuvent être lesdites surfaces de contact mentionnées plus haut ;
The optical module according to the invention can also have, in addition to the main characteristics stated in the preceding paragraphs, one or more of the following additional characteristics:
  • the optical deflection element may in particular be a reflector, an optical lens or a light guide.
  • the indexing means of said support comprise orifices and / or tenons; this makes it possible to position and index an adapter comprising complementary shapes according to simple movements; these means are also easy to achieve;

    • a material capable of conducting heat,
    • contact surfaces comprising a portion of this material, so as to transmit heat from an element which would be in contact with said contact surfaces;

  • said support may include rear fins located behind said support and behind the optical deflection element with respect to the direction of propagation in which the optical deflection element is intended to deflect the rays; this allows, once the module is mounted inside a lighting and / or deflection device, to evacuate the heat towards the rear; the exchange surface is also increased without bulk at the level of the path of the light rays emitted by the source and deflected by the optical deflection element;
  • the rear fins comprise a recess arranged so as to create a clear space of fins, inside which is located at least part of said adapter fixing means; the compactness of the system is thus improved;

  • said metal rod comprises a hooking part adapted to come into cooperation with a notch of the adapter fixing means; the fixing can thus be carried out easily in one movement, thus facilitating the replacement of the adapter, this being all the more advantageous since the access the lighting and / or signaling device is sometimes difficult on a vehicle;
  • the metal rod comprises a gripping portion in the form of a handle intended to be gripped in order to allow the detachment of said rod from the adapter fixing means;
  • the rod is in the form of a closed loop or not, articulated on one side and fixing to said adapter fixing means on the other;

  • the contact surfaces are covered by a compressible and thermally conductive element, in particular a charged silicone; this allows the compressible element to be compressed until the adapter touches the optical deflection element and is then indexed along a third axis and not on the support, the adapter thus being indexed directly on the element of optical deviation in all directions of space.

  • complementary fixing means suitable for allowing the fixing of the adapter,
  • complementary indexing means formed on said printed circuit, arranged so that when an element is positioned relative to these indexing means, the adapter is positioned relative to this element along two distinct and intersecting axes.

Thus this adapter will be able to index itself precisely with respect to these indexing means, in particular with a module according to the invention. Also, this makes it possible to have an adapter carrying a standard light source which can adapt to different types of optical modules. This adapter is conceivable for LEDs, which is all the more advantageous. Indeed, since an LED is an electronic component, in many optical module designs, its failure requires the entire module to be changed or even the lighting and / or signaling device. With the invention, it is possible to change a reduced part of the module, namely the adapter and its light source. The replacement cost is thus reduced.

The figures 1 to 12 show three embodiments according to the invention. These illustrations are examples of implementation.

The optical module 10, 110 and 210, for a lighting and / or signaling device for a motor vehicle of the invention comprises:
  • a first optical deflection element 12, namely in the case of these examples a reflector 12
  • a support 20, 120, and 220, of the reflector 12, the reflector 12 being fixed to said support,
wherein said support 20, 120, and 220 comprises fixing means 26, 126 and 226, adapter suitable for fixing an adapter on which is fixed a light source or for receiving a fixing element of this adapter, and in in which the reflector 12 comprises indexing means 61, 62 of adapter arranged so as to be able to position this adapter relative to the reflector 12 along two distinct and intersecting axes X, Y.

In general, the support can be a monolithic material, for example formed in one piece. It can consist essentially of the material capable of conducting heat. The material capable of conducting heat can be metal, in particular aluminum.

Ce support forme donc un radiateur à ailettes 24 et 25, ou 124 et 125.As illustrated, the support 20, 120, and 220, comprises rear fins 24 and 25, or 124 and 125, located behind said support and behind the optical deflection element 12 with respect to the direction of propagation R wherein the optical deflection element is intended to deflect the rays. The direction of propagation R, is only represented figure 1 , but is the same in the different figures. This support therefore forms a finned radiator 24 and 25, or 124 and 125.

Said support 20, 120, and 220, comprises:
  • day 29 opposite the optical deflection element 12, and visible on the figure 3 ,
  • guide fins 23, 123, on either side of this day 29, in particular parallel to each other,
  • bearing surfaces 66 between this day 29 and these guide fins 23, 123, the guide fins 23; 123 being arranged so as to allow guiding of the adapter 70, 170, 270, to position it in contact with these bearing surfaces 66.

According to the examples illustrated, these bearing surfaces 66 are the contact surfaces. They therefore have the dual function of thermal and mechanical contact.

In these examples, the optical module is a lighting module, for example to produce a lighting beam, for example a passing beam.

The adapter 70, 170, 270 is arranged at the level of the day 29 so that the light source 13 fixed above has its overall direction of emission oriented towards the concavity of the reflector 12. The latter reflects the light rays emitted by it. the light source in the direction of propagation R, parallel to the longitudinal axis X, in the examples illustrated, the direction of propagation R parallel to the longitudinal axis X here defining the forward direction. The light source 13 shines downwards.

The support 20, 120, and 220, here comprises two joined plates generally in the shape of an "L", for example approximately at 90 °, and comprises:
  • on a first branch of the “L” located at the rear of the module, said rear fins, 24 and 25, 124 and 125,
  • on a second branch of the "L" the guide vanes 23.

The second branch can include other fins, not shown.

The rear fins 25, 125 include a recess 25a, 125a arranged so as to create a clear space of fins 27, 127, inside which is located at least part of said adapter fixing means 26, 126, 226 , here pairs of claw-shaped legs. Each tab comprises at least one notch suitable for receiving a metal fixing rod 90, 190, 290, of the adapter 70, 170, 270.

In these exemplary embodiments, the adapter 70; 170; 270 light source 13, includes:
  • at least one light source 13,
  • a printed circuit 80, on which is fixed and connected the light source 13,
  • additional fixing means 90, 177, or 277, capable of allowing the fixing of the adapter 70, 170, 270,
  • additional indexing means 71, 72 formed on said printed circuit 80, arranged so that when on the optical module a element is positioned relative to these complementary indexing means, the adapter 70, 170, 270 is positioned relative to this element along two distinct and intersecting axes, here the longitudinal X and transverse Y axis.

These additional indexing means are orifices 71, 72, in particular holes passing right through the printed circuit 80.

Le substrat porte un élément semi-conducteur photoémissif 14.As can be seen more precisely in figure 4 , the light source 13 is an LED comprising a substrate 15 fixed to the printed circuit 80, for example by electrodes. The substrate carries a photoemissive semiconductor element 14.

The support block is a radiator comprising:
  • fins 75, 175 or 275, and being arranged to dissipate the heat given off by this light source,
  • complementary fixing means 90, 177, or 277, able to allow the fixing of the adapter.

According to the invention, in general, the adapter or the support can carry an articulated metal rod 90, 190, 290 which will hook or press down on the support or the adapter, respectively.

Thus according to the first embodiment illustrated in figures 1 to 6 , the fins 75 on the edges of the adapter 70 comprise a hole through which passes the end 93 of a rod 90. The end 93 of said metal rod 90 is free to rotate in this hole, so as to form an articulation of the rod 90 on these two fins. The rod is formed into an unclosed loop. Two ends 93 are therefore articulated. The buckle can thus swing downwards to hook onto the adapter fixing tabs 26 formed on the support 20, the hooked portion of the buckle thus forming a fixing part 91.

The support comprises a protruding guiding and holding portion 22 in the form of a claw.

As shown in figures 5, 6 and 6 ' , when the adapter 70 is placed in the module 10, the adapter slides on the contact surfaces 66 of the support 20, guided transversely by the guide fins 23 of the support. It will slide until it is blocked by the projecting tab 22, which is housed between two fins 75 of the adapter 70 thus completing the guidance. The adapter can then be folded down so that its contact surfaces 76, located on either side of the printed circuit, come into contact with the contact surfaces 66 of the module.

The tenons 61, 62, will enter the through holes 71, 72 and ensure the indexing of the LED 13 relative to the reflector 12, in particular at its focal point.

As can be seen in figure 6 ' , the support block comprises cavities 74 facing the through-holes 71, each through-hole opening entirely into a cavity 74 which is specific to it. The tenons 61, 62 protrude from the printed circuit inside these cavities. They therefore do not need to be sized exactly to the size of the holes in the PCB.

Once the adapter has been positioned and pressed against the support, the rod 90 is folded down towards the rear branch of the “L” of the support 20 and hooks onto the fixing tabs 26 of the adapter.

L'adaptateur 70 est ainsi maintenu plaqué au support 20 d'un côté par la tige 90 et de l'autre par la patte 22.The adapter 70 is thus kept pressed against the support 20 on one side by the rod 90 and on the other by the tab 22.

In the other embodiments, the principle of mounting the adapter 170, 270 is generally the same, with however the differences set out below.

The metal rod 190, 290 is hinged on one side to said support 120, 220, said rod further comprising a plating portion 195, 295 intended to be fixed by plating to the adapter, the rod being arranged to allow fixing in compression of the adapter 170, 270 to the module, resting on the bearing surfaces 177, 277 of the adapter.

In the second embodiment, the through hole in which the end 193 of the rod articulates is arranged on a fin 123 of the support 120 of the reflector 12.

In the third embodiment, the through hole in which the end 293 of the rod articulates is arranged on a projecting part 222 distinct from the fins.

In these different embodiments, the metal rod 90, 190, 290, comprises a hooking part 91, 191, 291 coming in cooperation with a notch 26a, 126a, 226a of the adapter fixing means 26, 126, 226 .

The metal rod 90, 190, 290 comprises a gripping portion 94, 194, 294 in the shape of a handle intended to be gripped to allow the detachment of said rod from the adapter fixing means, for example by gripping the finger by a operator.

Thus the adapter 170, 270 is maintained. pressed against the support 120, 220 on one side by the hooking of the hooking part 191, 291 and on the other by the fixing part 195, 295.

In the second embodiment, said adapter fixing means 126 comprise another notch 126b adapted to receive the metal fixing rod 190, so that each notch 126a, 126b defines a different fixing position of the metal rod. . So as shown on the figure 7 , the rod is positioned in the intermediate notch 126b, allowing a pre-positioning of the module before its final fixing, for example to adjust it correctly before folding it down. Then, the rod is placed in the final notch 126a to permanently fix the adapter 170 to the module 120. Of course, the term "definitive" is understood to mean definitive to operate the module and not for the entire service life of the module. module, since according to the invention this clip is removable to allow replacement of the light source by removing and replacing the adapter.

As can be seen, according to the invention, the support block that the adapter 70, 170, 270 comprises is a radiator whose fins 75, 175, 275 are arranged to dissipate the heat given off by the LED 13. This is all the more effective when they are oriented upwards.

Dans les trois modes de réalisation, l'adaptateur 70, 170, 270 comprend un connecteur 82, 182, ou 282, connecté à la DEL 13 et le support 20, 120, et 220, comprend également un connecteur 82, 182.In all three embodiments, the adapter 70, 170, 270 includes a connector 82, 182, or 282, connected to the LED 13 and the socket 20, 120, and 220, also includes a connector 82, 182.

As shown in figure 10 , according to the invention, these connectors are arranged one above the other when the adapter 70 is positioned in the support, so that during assembly the simple fact of folding the adapter against the module will plug the connectors into each other.

As shown in figure 11 , the connector 382 of the adapter 70 may include connection pins 384, 385, the connector 502 of the support being connected by plugging its pins 504, 404, between those of the connector of the adapter.

As shown in figure 12 , the pins of the connector of the support 20 comprise blades 516 mounted on more rigid parts 514 between which the central pin of the adapter connector is plugged, the rigid parts 514 are housed between the walls 484 of the adapter connector 70. The rigid parts 514 are connected to the support 20 by means of a spring 518 making it possible to reduce the dimensional tolerances for the assembly when fixing the adapter 70.

According to one embodiment, the contact surfaces 76 of the adapter 66 and of the support are in direct contact. The optical element exhibiting play along an axis perpendicular to the tangent to these surfaces, ie along the vertical axis Z in the embodiments shown. Thus, along this axis the arrangement is made according to the support. This clearance may for example be between 0.1 and 2 mm, preferably between 0.5 and 1 mm, preferably 0.5 mm.

According to an alternative embodiment, the contact surfaces 66 of the support and / or the contact surfaces 76 of the adapter are covered by a compressible and thermally conductive element, in particular a silicone. filled, for example a PAD 900 silicone. This compressible element may have a thickness of approximately 229 μm. The adapter is in direct contact with the optical element 12, so that the adapter 70, 170, 270 is indexed relative to the optical element 12 along the vertical axis Z.

On voit ici que dans ces trois modes de réalisation les surfaces de contact 66 et 76 sont en contact thermique direct ou indirect de sorte que l'adaptateur 70, 170, 270 et ledit support 20, 120, 220 de l'élément optique 12 forment un dissipateur thermique unique, les ailettes étant situées pour certaines - 75, 23, 24, 25; 175, 123, 124, 125 ; 275, 223, 224, 225 - sur l'adaptateur 70, 170, 270 et pour d'autre sur le support 20, 120, 220.It can be seen here that in these three embodiments the contact surfaces 66 and 76 are in direct or indirect thermal contact so that the adapter 70, 170, 270 and said support 20, 120, 220 of the optical element 12 form a single heat sink, some of the fins are located - 75, 23, 24, 25; 175, 123, 124, 125; 275, 223, 224, 225 - on the adapter 70, 170, 270 and for others on the support 20, 120, 220.

There is thus a radiator making it possible to evacuate the heat directly from the base of the LED 13, and an extended exchange surface.
