  1. Contact system (1) according to either of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking element (8, 54) has at least one sheet metal strip, wherein at least two apertures (32, 33, 65, 66, 67, 68) for active engagement of a locking pin (11, 12, 57, 58, 59, 60) are formed in the sheet metal strip.
  4. Contact system (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking element (8, 54) has a raised region which forms a spring (30, 31), in particular a leaf spring, wherein the raised region is designed to be supported with a spring action against the projection region (19, 21, 61, 62, 63, 64) and to press the locking element (8, 54) against the plug collar (7, 46).

  8. Contact system (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking element (8, 54) is connected to the plug housing (3) and is mounted such that it can slide back and forth along the sliding path (10).
  9. Contact system (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking element (8, 54) and the mating plug (5) each have an aperture (24, 39) for a lead sealing wire (37) for safeguarding the locking element (8, 54).
  10. Contact system (1) according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the locking element (8, 54) has a connecting section (53) which connects the U-limbs (51, 52) to one another, and the locking element (8, 54) has an operating lug (55) which is integrally formed on the connecting section (53) and is designed for an operating tool or a human hand to engage around it so that the locking element (8, 54) can be grasped by way of the operating lug (55) and slid back and forth.
