Each of the parts mentioned above comprises one or more protective panels, each panel being provided with at least one mattress of elastically compressible material, for example a foam or an elastomeric material, for example obtained by injection or molding. A plate of rigid material is disposed in front of the mattress, towards the outside of the vest 1. The plate may be substantially flat or be shaped to fit the shape of the part of the body that it covers, in order to be ergonomic and to improve the comfort of the panel while facilitating freedom of movement of the user. Such a plate allows a good distribution of energy when an impact is applied to it, as well as the absorption of a portion of this energy, the absorption then being made by the mattress. The mattress and the plate are for example coated with a fabric adapted for the field of protective equipment. The production of such panels is known per se and will not be described in more detail here.
Each protective panel, because of its structure, is able to absorb at least a portion of the energy due to impact, including shocks due to blows carried by a third with bare hands or with an object or projectiles launched by a third party, in order to protect the user wearing the equipment, while allowing him to move freely.
With the exception of the
One of the
The vest 1 further comprises panels for protecting a portion of the
According to the embodiment shown in the figures, the
The
The
The removable fixing means 22 for fixing or not the
The vest 1 described above can be donned like a coat. The front parts in the open position, the user passes an arm then the other through the
When the vest 1 is closed and the protections of the arms attached, the user is protected at the level of his back, his abdomen, his shoulders, his ribs and part of his arms.
According to one embodiment, one or both
Similarly, the inner face of the front and / or back portions may be provided with means for removably attaching at least one additional protective insert, such as a
Thus, the back portion and / or the side portions and / or the front portions may for example be equipped with one or more receiving pockets of an additional protective panel. This additional protection panel may have different characteristics from the previously described protective panels in order to allow to modulate the protection offered by the vest 1, depending on whether these additional panels are arranged in the pockets or not.
The vest 1 thus offers the user a graduated protection according to the type of threat, the user can easily add or remove additional protective panels inside and / or outside the vest.
Thus, the vest 1 is highly flexible and allows to adapt the protection offered by the vest 1 to the situation encountered. Thus, all the removable elements reported on the vest, such as the
Similarly, the vest 1 is able to receive additional protection elements to enhance this protection, as described above.
Thus, the vest 1 is easy to put on while providing optimum protection and comfort to the user.
