- Such devices can, for example, serve as evaporation humidifiers or material exchangers which, inter alia, for humidification and simultaneous air cooling.
- evaporation humidifiers or material exchangers which, inter alia, for humidification and simultaneous air cooling.
- Supply or exhaust air for reactive gas or air purifications in particular removal of odors such as, for example, ammonia from the stable exhaust air
- the cooling of a gas by means of such devices is carried out according to the principle of adiabatic cooling (evaporative cooling).
- treatment devices are also used in particular as a heat exchanger, for example, for installation in or on cooling towers and are basically known in the design of trickle coolers.
- the known treatment devices of the abovementioned types have installation devices in the form of installation packages, which each have a plurality of mat elements, which are usually corrugated, so that when close contact adjacent mat elements arise crossing or laterally offset channels through which an input side of the device the gas flows in, the device flows through and flows out again on an opposite outlet side.
- the input and output sides of the device are formed by opposing edges of individual juxtaposed mat elements of the input and output side of the device arranged mounting packages.
- the installation packages of the aforementioned types of treatment devices are wetted with liquid, the so-called working fluid, which is in particular water, so that the fluid to be treated flows along wetted surfaces of the mat elements.
- the wetting liquid it is desirable for the wetting liquid to form as large a surface as possible and to remain in the device or the mounting packages over a relatively long period of time.
- the mat elements are rectangular, wherein a plurality of adjacent mat elements form a block-shaped (cuboid) installation package.
- the installation packages have other geometric shapes. For example, by using differently sized, respectively rectangular mat elements, one could obtain an installation package which is cylindrical. The widest mat elements are then arranged along a diameter of the cross section of the cylinder, with the respective adjacent mat elements decreasing in width.

- the half channels formed by the first mat elements extend along two different spatial directions through an installation package.
- the half channels of the second mat elements extend along a third spatial direction, which runs at an angle to the two aforementioned spatial directions.
- Further mat element types can also be incorporated into the installation packages. These mat elements of the other types may have differently designed half channels, differently oriented half channels or even a different structure (mats than films and / or mesh) than the first and second mat elements.
- next adjacent first mat elements on or lie on each other.
- first and second mat elements can be designed differently. This applies first of all for the alignment and possibly also for the construction and design of their half channels. In general, however, the overall structure of the mat elements can be different. Thus, for example, each first and every second mat element may be formed as a foil or as a grid element. But it is also possible that all first and second mat elements consist exclusively of foil elements or all first and second mat elements exclusively of grid elements. Furthermore, it can be advantageously provided that each mat element or some of the (for example, first and second) mat elements are partially formed as a film and partially as a grid element.
- each package is constructed of mat elements of the same type.
- the arrangement of a plurality of different installation packages in turn advantageously results in a mounting device with aerodynamically optimized behavior, which is optimal and thus efficient for the intensity of the interaction of fluid to be treated and working fluid.
- first installation packages are arranged adjacent to second installation packages.
- the half channels of the first and / or the second mat elements each extend parallel to one another.
- the half channels of adjacent first mat elements may intersect, and it may also be useful if the half channels of the first and / or the second mat elements are arranged in a straight line continuously and run. In all these variants, it may also be expedient that the half-channels of the first and / or the second mat elements have sections laterally, in particular alternately offset laterally sections.
- the mat elements of the first and second installation packages are each formed as foil and / or grid elements, again that both mat element types can be arranged in a mounting package.
- the arrangement of the mounting packages in the installation device according to the second alternative of the invention thus has side by side or stacked mounting packages, wherein pairs of adjacent mounting packages exist, comprising a first and a second mounting package.
- pairs of installation packages need not necessarily be arranged adjacent to one another, so that there are other attachment package types between them or a first or a second installation package is located, so that with regard to the overall arrangement of the installation packages first and second installation packages are not necessarily arranged alternately.
- mat elements are preferably made of plastic and in particular of thermoplastic material.
- Other materials such as, for example, paper or cardboard are also conceivable. This applies to mat element in both foil and lattice formations.
- the adjacent mat elements of a mounting package are mechanically connected to each other, which can be done cohesively, non-positively or positively. Especially useful a weld adjacent mat elements or a mechanical connection of these mat elements by pin-hole connections. To improve the stability and cohesion of the mat elements of a mounting package, it may also be expedient if extending transversely to the extension of the individual mat elements and thus in the direction of the succession of mat elements of a mounting package through this pull or push rods.
- adjacent installation packages may be mechanically interconnected, for which purpose these installation packages have eyelets or "eyes" at their mutually facing edges, which are aligned with one another in the adjacent state of the attachment packages, so that, for example, rods or the like.
- strand-shaped connecting elements can be pushed through the aligned openings, "eyes" or eyelets and thus a cohesion of adjacent installation packages is given.
- the installation device has been described above with reference to installation packages whose mat elements are substantially rectangular.
- the mat elements can have any desired geometric shape.
- the mat elements of a mounting package need not have the same or congruent geometrical shapes among each other.

- Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment of an installation package 10, which consists of a plurality of first and second mat members 12, 14. Each mat element has, at least in sections, adjacent depressions 16 and elevations 18 which give the respective mat elements a wave structure. This forms half channels 20, depending on the orientation of the elevations and depressions 18, 16 obliquely to the longitudinal and transverse edges 22, 24 (see the first two mat elements 12) or parallel or perpendicular thereto (see the mat element 14).
- a section of an installation package 10 is shown, wherein this section comprises the three adjacent, shown in exploded view, the first and second mat elements 12, 14.

- One possible embodiment of the second mat member 14 is exemplified in FIG EP-A1 598 628 described.
- Fig. 2 shows a section of the succession of first and second Mattenlemente 12, 14 for an alternatively constructed mounting package 10 '
- Fig. 3 another way shows in which way the two types of Mat elements 12, 14 of a package 10 "can be arranged sequentially.

Description
Tropfwasser handelt. The invention relates to a mounting device for a device for the treatment of a flowing fluid, wherein the device is preferably used for moistening, cleaning and / or cooling of the treated Fuids. In particular, the treatment device is used for cooling a gas by means of a cooling medium, wherein the gas is preferably (water) vapor and the cooling medium is spray or dripping water.
Devices for the treatment of gases, in particular for moistening, cleaning and / or cooling of gases such as, for example, air are known in principle. Such devices can, for example, serve as evaporation humidifiers or material exchangers which, inter alia, for humidification and simultaneous air cooling. In residential or office buildings, warehouses, stables, greenhouses and other spaces or even of technical equipment, for example. For cleaning and dust removal in particular Supply or exhaust air for reactive gas or air purifications (in particular removal of odors such as, for example, ammonia from the stable exhaust air) are used. The cooling of a gas by means of such devices is carried out according to the principle of adiabatic cooling (evaporative cooling). But treatment devices are also used in particular as a heat exchanger, for example, for installation in or on cooling towers and are basically known in the design of trickle coolers.
The known treatment devices of the abovementioned types have installation devices in the form of installation packages, which each have a plurality of mat elements, which are usually corrugated, so that when close contact adjacent mat elements arise crossing or laterally offset channels through which an input side of the device the gas flows in, the device flows through and flows out again on an opposite outlet side. The input and output sides of the device are formed by opposing edges of individual juxtaposed mat elements of the input and output side of the device arranged mounting packages. Thus, therefore, the fluid to be treated flows parallel to the extension of the mat elements between their respective edges and between the mat elements. In principle, however, it is also possible that the fluid to be treated flows transversely to the extension of the mat elements.
The installation packages of the aforementioned types of treatment devices are wetted with liquid, the so-called working fluid, which is in particular water, so that the fluid to be treated flows along wetted surfaces of the mat elements. In this case, it is desirable for the wetting liquid to form as large a surface as possible and to remain in the device or the mounting packages over a relatively long period of time.
As a rule, the mat elements are rectangular, wherein a plurality of adjacent mat elements form a block-shaped (cuboid) installation package. But it is also possible that the installation packages have other geometric shapes. For example, by using differently sized, respectively rectangular mat elements, one could obtain an installation package which is cylindrical. The widest mat elements are then arranged along a diameter of the cross section of the cylinder, with the respective adjacent mat elements decreasing in width.
The known treatment devices can operate on the countercurrent or on the cross flow principle. In the counterflow principle, the fluid to be treated and the working fluid used for the treatment of this fluid (for example cooling medium) flow in opposite directions. In treatment devices that work on the cross-flow principle, intersect the Flow directions of the fluid to be treated and for the working fluid, and in general at a substantially right angle.
In installation devices for treatment devices of the aforementioned type, care should be taken that the flow resistance for the fluid to be treated is minimized. In that regard, an object in the design of installation devices for fluid treatment devices in the flow optimization.
- adjacent and / or stacked mounting packages each having individual corrugated mat elements, each having two substantially mutually parallel longitudinal edges and transverse, substantially parallel to each other transverse edges and per installation package are arranged side by side and adjacent to each other,
- wherein each corrugated mat element has half-channels formed by alternately successive depressions and elevations,
- wherein the mat elements comprise first mat elements with oblique and at acute angles to the longitudinal edges and the transverse edges extending half channels and second mat elements with the longitudinal or transverse edges substantially parallel half channels and
- wherein each mounting package in particular alternately successively arranged first and second mat elements.
Characteristic feature of the invention is the arrangement of different types of mat elements to a mounting package. In this case, it is assumed according to the invention of at least two different mat elements, which differ with respect to their half-channel curves generated by corrugations. The mat elements of the first type (first mat elements) in this case have successive depressions and elevations (corrugations) formed half channels, which extend obliquely to the edges of the mat elements. In contrast, the half-channels of the second-type mat members (second mat members) are substantially parallel or substantially perpendicular to at least one edge portion. Per built-in element so both types of mat elements are installed, these two mat element types are preferably arranged alternately successively.
By running in several and in particular in at least three different spatial directions half channels per installation package creates a so far aerodynamically improved arrangement, as the flow resistance of a package is low and it within the package to a turbulence of the fluid to be treated and thus to an optimized exchange or an optimized interaction with the working fluid comes
whose residence time within the installation package is also optimized.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it can be provided that the half channels of each first mat element run parallel to one another and / or that the half channels of each second mat element run parallel to one another.
It can be provided with further advantage that the half channels of the first and / or the second mat elements are arranged continuously straight and run.
It may also be expedient if the half-channels of the first and / or the second mat elements have sections, offset laterally, in particular alternately offset laterally.
Finally, it is also advantageous if the half channels of two adjacent first mat element are arranged crossing each other. Thus, the half channels formed by the first mat elements extend along two different spatial directions through an installation package. The half channels of the second mat elements extend along a third spatial direction, which runs at an angle to the two aforementioned spatial directions. Further mat element types can also be incorporated into the installation packages. These mat elements of the other types may have differently designed half channels, differently oriented half channels or even a different structure (mats than films and / or mesh) than the first and second mat elements.
In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention can be provided that next adjacent first mat elements on or lie on each other.
As already mentioned above, the first and second mat elements can be designed differently.
- adjacent and / or stacked mounting packages each with individual corrugated mat elements, each two substantially mutually parallel longitudinal edges and to have transversely extending, substantially parallel transverse edges and are arranged per mounting package next to each other and adjacent,
- wherein each corrugated mat element has half-channels formed by alternately successive depressions and elevations,
- wherein the mat elements comprise first mat elements with oblique and at acute angles to the longitudinal edges and the transverse edges extending half channels and second mat elements with the longitudinal or transverse edges substantially parallel half channels and
- wherein the installation packages comprise first installation packages with first mat elements and second installation packages with second mat elements.
In contrast to the first variant of the installation device according to the invention, this has in the second variant, various types of mounting packages, each package is constructed of mat elements of the same type. The arrangement of a plurality of different installation packages in turn advantageously results in a mounting device with aerodynamically optimized behavior, which is optimal and thus efficient for the intensity of the interaction of fluid to be treated and working fluid.
It is expedient insofar as first installation packages are arranged adjacent to second installation packages.
In connection with the second alternative of the installation device according to the invention, it may be advantageous if the half channels of the first and / or the second mat elements each extend parallel to one another.
In a further advantageous embodiment may be further provided in connection with the installation device according to the second alternative of the invention that the half channels of adjacent first mat elements intersect, and it may also be useful if the half channels of the first and / or the second mat elements are arranged in a straight line continuously and run. In all these variants, it may also be expedient that the half-channels of the first and / or the second mat elements have sections laterally, in particular alternately offset laterally sections.
As already described above in connection with the first alternative of the invention, it can also be advantageously provided in the second alternative of the installation device according to the invention that the mat elements of the first and second installation packages are each formed as foil and / or grid elements, again that both mat element types can be arranged in a mounting package.
The arrangement of the mounting packages in the installation device according to the second alternative of the invention thus has side by side or stacked mounting packages, wherein pairs of adjacent mounting packages exist, comprising a first and a second mounting package. Such pairs of installation packages need not necessarily be arranged adjacent to one another, so that there are other attachment package types between them or a first or a second installation package is located, so that with regard to the overall arrangement of the installation packages first and second installation packages are not necessarily arranged alternately.
Finally, for both alternatives of the installation device according to the invention that their mat elements are preferably made of plastic and in particular of thermoplastic material. Other materials such as, for example, paper or cardboard are also conceivable. This applies to mat element in both foil and lattice formations.
Finally, it should be mentioned that the adjacent mat elements of a mounting package are mechanically connected to each other, which can be done cohesively, non-positively or positively. Furthermore, adjacent installation packages (according to both variants of the invention) may be mechanically interconnected, for which purpose these installation packages have eyelets or "eyes" at their mutually facing edges, which are aligned with one another in the adjacent state of the attachment packages, so that, for example, rods or the like. strand-shaped connecting elements can be pushed through the aligned openings, "eyes" or eyelets and thus a cohesion of adjacent installation packages is given.
The installation device according to the invention has been described above with reference to installation packages whose mat elements are substantially rectangular. In principle, it should be mentioned that the mat elements can have any desired geometric shape. Also, the mat elements of a mounting package need not have the same or congruent geometrical shapes among each other. Decisive for the invention is merely that the half channels per installation package or the half channels of adjacent installation packages run in several different, in particular in at least three different spatial directions.
