Water supply assemblies of some household appliances have two or more water supply pipes, so as to supply water for different purposes. Further, such assembly has a facility to add washing agents like detergents and softeners to the water in the water cavity.
- Taking a drying machine of the condensing type or washing and drying machine as examples, a laundry processing drum is usually disposed in the housing thereof; a condensation channel is connected to the clothes processing drum, so as to condense moisture taken from the clothes in the clothes processing drum by circulating drying air. A first water inlet pipe and a second water inlet pipe may be connected to the condensation channel, so as to supply the condensation channel with cooling water for cooling the drying air and cleaning water for washing away flock attached on an inner wall of the condensation channel. In the conventional solution, the first water inlet pipe and the second water inlet pipe are connected to respective water inlet valves. Meanwhile, to prevent water in the drying machine or washing and drying machine from being sucked back into a common water supply system and polluting the water supply system due to an unexpected negative pressure generated in the water supply system when the water level in the clothes processing drum exceeds the first water inlet pipe and/or the second water inlet pipe, an adapting device in communication with the ambient atmosphere is usually disposed on each of the first water inlet pipe and the second water inlet pipe. The water inlet pipe and the adapting device thereof in such design are relatively complex, and occupy much mounting space in the machine.

FIG. 1 is a schematic view of a washing and drying machine; -
FIG. 2 is a schematic view of a first water outlet pipe and a second water outlet pipe of a water flow allocation device; -
FIG. 3A is a cross sectional view of the first water outlet pipe and the second water outlet pipe of the water flow allocation device inFIG. 2 , where a dashed line with an arrow inFIG. 3A is a path along which the water flow passes through the first water flow channel; and -
FIG. 3B is a cross sectional view of the first water outlet pipe and the second water outlet pipe of the water flow allocation device inFIG. 2 , where a dashed line with an arrow inFIG. 3B is a path along which the water flow passes through the second water flow channel. - As shown in
FIG. 1 , a washing anddrying machine 1 has a clothesprocessing drum assembly 3 in abox 2, and includes aninner drum 5 capable of rotating when driven by a motor 4, and awater storage tub 6 sleeved outside theinner drum 5. Thewater storage tub 6 is connected to two ends of a dryingair channel 7, so that dryingair 8 can circulate in the clothesprocessing drum assembly 3 and thedrying air channel 7. The dryingair channel 7 includes acondensation channel 9 and aheating channel 10; meanwhile, ablower 11 is disposed in the dryingair channel 7 so as to propel the dryingair 8 circulating in the clothesprocessing drum assembly 3 and the dryingair channel 7. In this embodiment thecondensation channel 9 defines awater cavity 9 due to the fact that water may be brought into it as detailed below. - The washing and
drying machine 1 further has acontrol device 12, which controls different equipment in the machine to run according to program settings. Under the control of thecontrol device 12, in a drying program, theheating channel 10 heats the dryingair 8 flowing therein; after being heated, the high-temperature drying air 8 enters the clothesprocessing drum assembly 3 under the effect of theblower 11 and heats wet clothes in theinner drum 5, so that moisture in the clothes is evaporated; carrying the evaporated moisture, thedrying air 8 enters thecondensation channel 9. In thecondensation channel 9, moisture in the dryingair 8 is condensed into liquid again, so as to be separated from the dryingair 8; hence, the dryingair 8 returns to a low temperature and becomes dry again, and driven by theblower 11, enters theheating channel 10 again to start a new circulation. Such circulation is repeated until the clothes in the inner drum are finally dried. - In order to condense the drying
air 8 in thewater cavity 9 orcondensation channel 9 and meanwhile to wash away flock or lint attached on an inner wall of thecondensation channel 9, thecondensation channel 9 is connected with thewater supply assembly 13 that supplies water thereto. Thewater supply assembly 13 includes awater valve device 14 connected to a water source and a waterflow allocation device 15 downstream of thewater valve device 14; thewater valve device 14 and the waterflow allocation device 15 are connected by awater inlet pipe 16. The waterflow allocation device 15 is connected with the firstwater outlet pipe 17 and the secondwater outlet pipe 18 downstream, where the firstwater outlet pipe 17 is connected to a firstwater injection nozzle 19 on thecondensation channel 9, so as to supply cleaning water to thecondensation channel 9, and the secondwater outlet pipe 18 is connected to a secondwater injection nozzle 20 on thecondensation channel 9, so as to supply cooling water to thecondensation channel 9. In a vertical direction, the position of the firstwater injection nozzle 19 is higher than that of the secondwater injection nozzle 20. Preferably, the firstwater injection nozzle 19 is close to a top portion of thecondensation channel 9, so that the cleaning water washes theentire condensation channel 9 from top down. The secondwater injection nozzle 20 is close to a middle and lower portions of thecondensation channel 9 and close to an air inlet end of the dryingair 8, so that the cooling water fully cools the dryingair 8. - Generally, cooling water needs to be supplied during most time of the drying program. To save water, the flow rate of the cooling water should be as small as possible under the premise of satisfying the drying requirement. However, in order to completely wash away flock attached on the inner wall of the
condensation channel 9, water of a great flow rate is required, so as to achieve a desirable washing effect. Cleaning water is usually supplied at the end of the drying program, and lasts a short period of time. According to such a principle, thecontrol device 12 controls thewater valve device 14 to supply cleaning water of a first flow rate V1 to thewater inlet pipe 16 at the end of the drying stage, and to supply cooling water of a second flow rate V2 to thewater inlet pipe 16 during the drying stage. Definitely, thewater valve device 14 may also supply cleaning water of the first flow rate V1 to thewater inlet pipe 16 during other time segments of the drying program or even during a washing program, so as to wash thecondensation channel 9. The first flow rate V1 is greater than the second flow rate V2. - As shown in
FIG. 2 to FIG. 3B , a firstwater flow channel 21 in communication with the firstwater outlet pipe 17 and a secondwater flow channel 22 in communication with the secondwater outlet pipe 18 are formed in the waterflow allocation device 15. A water inletend 23 of the secondwater flow channel 22 is directly connected to aterminal 24 of thewater inlet pipe 16; agap 26 exists between projections of thewater inlet end 25 of the firstwater flow channel 21 and the waterinlet pipe terminal 24 on a horizontal plane. Thegap 26 is designed as follows: whether or not a certain height difference exists between thewater inlet end 25 of the firstwater flow channel 21 and the waterinlet pipe terminal 24, thegap 26 exists between the projections thereof on the horizontal plane, and the cleaning water of the first flow rate V1 flowing out from thewater inlet pipe 16 can flow across thegap 26 and enter the firstwater flow channel 21; the cooling water of the second flow rate V2 flowing out from thewater inlet pipe 16 cannot flow across thegap 26 and thus cannot enter the firstwater flow channel 21 due to the low flow rate thereof, but can only fall into the secondwater flow channel 22 with an opening under thegap 26. The cleaning water of the greater first flow rate V1 enters the firstwater flow channel 21 via thewater inlet pipe 16, and further enters thecondensation channel 9 via the firstwater injection nozzle 19 to wash away flock attached in thecondensation channel 9. The cooling water of the smaller second flow rate V2 enters the secondwater flow channel 22 via thewater inlet pipe 16 during the drying process, and further enters thecondensation channel 9 via the secondwater injection nozzle 20 to condense moisture carried in the dryingair 8. Preferably, acentral axis 24a of the waterinlet pipe terminal 24 approximately coincides with acentral axis 25a of thewater inlet end 25 of the firstwater flow channel 21. In other implementation manners, thecentral axis 24a of the waterinlet pipe terminal 24 may be slightly higher than thecentral axis 25a of thewater inlet end 25 of the firstwater flow channel 21, so as to ensure that water of the first flow rate V1 can still fall into thewater inlet end 25 of the firstwater flow channel 21 after flowing across thegap 26 under the effect of the gravity. - To prevent water in the washing and drying
machine 1 from being sucked back into a common water supply system and polluting the water supply system due to an unexpected negative pressure generated in the water supply system when the water level in thewater storage tub 6 exceeds the firstwater flow channel 21 and/or secondwater flow channel 22, anair pipe 27 in communication with atmosphere is disposed on the waterflow allocation device 15, and theair pipe 27 is in communication with the firstwater flow channel 21 and the secondwater flow channel 22 respectively, so as to balance the pressure and prevent back suction - As a preferred solution, the first
water flow channel 21 is partitioned by anair gap 28 into anupper portion 21 a and alower portion 21 b opposite each other in a vertical direction. An inner pipe diameter of theupper portion 21 a is less than an inner pipe diameter of thelower portion 21b, so that water flowing out from theupper portion 21 a can completely fall into thelower portion 21b. Meanwhile, to fully utilize the cooling water and prevent the cooling water from entering theair gap 28 of the firstwater flow channel 21, ablock sheet 29 for preventing a water flow from entering theair gap 28 and for leading the water flow into the secondwater flow channel 22 is disposed in a direction of theair gap 28 facing thewater inlet pipe 16. - The above embodiments are merely preferred embodiments of the present invention. The present invention may have many other embodiments. Any equivalent replacement made by persons of ordinary skill in the art under the teaching of the present invention shall fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention.
