  • the magnetic material of the armature 130 is designed to close the magnetic path of the electromagnetic field 26, so that the armature 130 is attracted to the magnetic poles and presses the needle 40 against the spring 170 to open the valve unit 45.
  • the non-magnetic material of the separation ring insert 230 provides a flux of the magnetic field 26 through the casing 15 and the armature 130.
  • the electromagnetic field 26 is not short-circuited by the separation ring 150, so that an improved leading of the electromagnetic field by the separation ring 150 can be provided.
  • Parasitic magnetic flux through the separation ring 150 in radial direction is particularly small.
  • the coil 25 is protected against the wet room 110 and chemical attacks.
  • the separation ring 150 prevents an external leakage and provides an adequate structural resistance against the forces resulting from the magnetic field and the highly pressurized fuel 115.
  • the first tubular section and/or the second tubular section 80 can be made from non-magnetic materials, e.g. with austenitic material, particularly e.g. with stainless steel having the SAE steel grade 304.
  • the separation ring 150 may be produced by a metal-injection moulding process wherein both the first and the second material may be arranged according to the above-described structure.
  • the casing 15 may be realized e.g. with an overmoulded layer of plastic compound.
  • the fuel injector 10 comprises an inward opening valve unit 45.
  • the actuator 21 could also be used for an outward opening fuel injector, i.e. a fluid injector that opens by means of displacement of the needle 40 in the direction of the fluid flow.
  • FIG 7 shows a longitudinal section through a fuel injector 300 according to a second embodiment.
  • the fuel injector 300 has in general the same design as the fuel injector 10 shown in Figures 1 to 6 . Different thereto, the fuel injector 300 according to the present embodiment is an outward opening fuel injector.
  • the needle 40 is opened in direction of the fluid flow - out in direction of the combustion chamber 60 for example. Consequently, the casing 15 has its U-shape open side opened in the direction of the fluid inlet tube 180.
  • the separation ring 150 is arranged subsequent to the casing 15 and the armature 130 subsequent to the separation ring 150 in longitudinal direction 35 away from the valve seat body 50 and towards the fluid inlet tube 180.
  • the separation ring 150 has the same design as shown in Figures 3 to 6 and it is connected to an inner tubular section 75 and an outer tubular section 80 of the valve body 20.
  • the separation ring 150 of this and other embodiments may have a small longitudinal extension, e.g. starting from 0.5 mm.
  • the separation ring 150 could also have a different longitudinal extension.
  • the casing 15 may be protected from the fuel or other aggressive substances in the fuel injector 10. Moreover, the different materials of the separation ring 150 guarantee an adequate forwarding of the electromagnetic field on the armature 130. In a combination of the design of the casing 15 and the separation ring 150, the radial force on the armature 130 could be minimized.

Claims (11)

  1. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff (115) in einen Verbrennungsmotor, wobei der Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) einen Anker (130), eine Nadel (40), eine Spule (25), ein Gehäuse (15), einen Ventilkörper (20) und einen Trennring (150) aufweist, wobei
    - die Spule (25) in dem Gehäuse (15) angeordnet ist,
    - der Anker (130) und die Nadel (40) mindestens teilweise in dem Ventilkörper (20) angeordnet sind,
    - die Spule (25) mit einer Steuervorrichtung (30) elektrisch verbindbar ist, um ein elektromagnetisches Feld (26) zu erzeugen,
    - der Anker (130) mit der Nadel (40) verbunden ist,
    - der Anker (130) zum Interagieren mit dem elektromagnetischen Feld (26) ausgebildet ist, um die Nadel (40) aus einer geschlossenen Position zu einer offenen Position entlang einer Längsachse (35) des Ventilkörpers (20) zu bewegen,
    - der Trennring (150) mindestens teilweise zwischen dem Gehäuse (15) und dem Anker (130) angeordnet ist und zum Führen des elektromagnetischen Felds (26) zu dem Anker (130) ausgebildet ist,
    - das Gehäuse (15) an einer äußeren peripheren Fläche eines Abschnitts des Ventilkörpers (20) angeordnet ist,
    - der Trennring (150) eine erste Sektion (195) mit einem ersten Material und mindestens eine zweite Sektion (230) mit einem zweiten Material aufweist, wobei sich das erste Material von dem zweiten Material unterscheidet,
    - die erste Sektion (195) des Trennrings (150) mindestens einen Trennring-Basiskörper (195) aufweist, die zweite Sektion (220) mindestens einen Trennringeinsatz (230) aufweist, wobei der Trennring-Basiskörper (195) mindestens eine Öffnung (220) aufweist, die entsprechend dem Trennringeinsatz (230) geformt ist und zum mindestens teilweisen Aufnehmen des Trennringeinsatzes (230) ausgebildet ist,
    - die erste Sektion (195) des Trennrings (150) eine innere Sektion (210) und eine äußere Sektion (215) aufweist, wobei die äußere Sektion (215) in einer radialen Richtung außerhalb der inneren Sektion (210) angeordnet ist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die innere Sektion (210) mit der äußeren Sektion (215) über mindestens einen Steg (225) verbunden ist, wobei die Öffnung (220) zwischen der inneren Sektion (210) und der äußeren Sektion (215) angeordnet ist, wobei der Steg (225) zum Tragen der zweiten Sektion (230) ausgebildet ist.
  2. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Trennringeinsatz (230) dieselbe Dicke in der Längsrichtung aufweist wie die innere Sektion (210) oder die äußere Sektion (215), und die Dicke des Trennringeinsatzes (230) nur in dem Bereich der Stege (225) reduziert ist, um eine flache Fläche auf beiden Seiten des Trennrings (150) bereitzustellen.
  3. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ventilkörper (20) eine rohrförmige innere Sektion (75) und mindestens eine rohrförmige äußere Sektion (80) aufweist, wobei der Trennring (150) in einer radialen Richtung zwischen der inneren Sektion (75) und der äußeren Sektion (80) angeordnet ist.
  4. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Trennring (150) mit dem Ventilkörper (20) materiell verbunden ist (155, 160).
  5. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Trennringeinsatz (230) und die Öffnung (230) des Trennring-Basiskörpers (195) mindestens teilweise ringförmig sind.
  6. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Trennring-Basiskörper (195) das erste Material aufweist, und der Trennringeinsatz (230) das zweite Material aufweist.
  7. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Öffnung einen Winkel von ungefähr 90° umschließt.
  8. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das erste Material magnetisch ist, und das zweite Material nicht-magnetisch ist.
  9. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach dem vorhergehenden Anspruch, wobei das magnetische erste Material ein ferritischer Stahl ist, und das nicht-magnetische zweite Material ein austenitischer Stahl ist.
  10. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Trennring (150) mittels eines Metallspritzgussverfahrens hergestellt ist.
  11. Kraftstoffinjektor (10; 300) nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet durch eine trockene Sektion (165) und eine nasse Sektion (110), wobei die nasse Sektion (110) zum Führen des Kraftstoffs (115) durch den Injektor (10; 300) ausgebildet ist, wobei die Nadel (40) und der Anker (130) in der nassen Sektion (110) angeordnet sind, wobei die Spule (25) und das Gehäuse (15) in der trockenen Sektion angeordnet sind, wobei die nasse Sektion (110) von der trockenen Sektion (165) mindestens durch den Trennring (150) abgegrenzt ist.
